Anyone else waiting for this? I am, let’s start a thread to see how we all get on. I have two stone to lose. My DH said yesterday that ‘I am a bit plump’. Upset, though it’s true.

On Day 6 and I’ve noticed that if I eat more for my evening meal, I get quite bad stomach pain around an hour afterwards, like I’ve eaten far too much.

Couple of times I’ve had a larger portion of food and tried to finish my plate as I didn’t think I was eating enough calories (getting headaches every day), but my tummy feels super bloated and painful after. (Like that cramping feeling where you know you’re going to need the loo to ease the pain!)

No more larger portions for me! 🤦🏽‍♀️

I had this but a few weeks in it’s wearing off a bit. I had a too large portion of dinner tonight. Not the end of the world and it was healthy, but I’m not suffering the consequences as I was before which kept me eating less. The signal to stop has previously been quicker. I was quick to think I shouldn’t move up to 4mg next week but now I’m thinking my body has adjusted to the 1.5 and I should move up.

I’m still eating less overall and not snacking. And I haven’t had chocolate in weeks which is a miracle as far as I’m concerned.

Well it sent me to the toilet for quite a while after I wrote that post! Tummy is very tender at the moment! 😩

I’ve not had much in the way of side effects so far, but this was awful. I felt so ill!

Good to hear that it eased off for you, hopefully I’ll have the same! 🤞🏼

Hi everyone, just joining the thread

I'm keen to try the Wegovy pill, I have tried both MJ and Wegovy injection in the past but had awful side effects so had to stop, this was the lowest dose. Extreme nausea and fatigue, sulphur burps, constant stomach churning. I was bed bound due to the fatigue, never felt anything like it 😓 It was so bad I gave up, but I guess it could have got better with time, I'll never know.

Has anyone who has tried the injections before had better luck with the pill? Part of me is thinking that the side effects may be less due to taking it everyday and it needing time to build in your system, but I just don't know?

I got cocky and ordered the 1.5mg for my second month but have managed to switch the order to the 4mg now.

SW 74kg
14 days 70.4kg
23 days 70.2kg

So a definite stalling after the first couple of weeks.

I have! Same as you, the wegovy jab made me so sick. I felt awful the whole time, vomiting, burps, diarhea. Hated it. The pill is so different. I think one day I noticed a sulphur burp and that was it. My only symptoms was fatigue but it has shifted in the last few days & I feel great. No bloating and losing a few pounds every week. You should try it for a month and see how you go 🤗

Yes I think I’ll be switching it back to 4 mg. Still time thankfully. I just couldn’t imagine how much more effective it could get but it seems my body has settled into it now so I will be going up to 4.

Solasum · 02/08/2026 06:49

I have lost 3kg in my first month, but can’t see it, if you see what I mean. I have definitely improved my eating habits.

Glenthebattleostrich · 02/08/2026 08:34

Good morning

Day 6 and another 1.5lb down. I am hopeful that I will be under 13st 7 for my birthday at the end of the month having gone from 201 lb (14st 5) this week. So hoping for another 7lb in 25 days.

Me and DD are off to London for an overnighter tomorrow. We are staying in a travelodge, mostly because I dont like their breakfasts! I will be relaxing a little on calories, but not going nuts. Will be taking fruit and nuts for breakfast and buying some yogurt to have with it. Train snacks, we have smaller versions of the junk food we usually have.

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend.

Hehe same! The first couple of weeks were amazing. This week my eating has definitely crept up again… still good at 1500 cals a day but way more than the week before. I hope the 4mg will be ok symptom wise 🤞

This is what I’m worried about too!

Imnotperfecteither · 02/08/2026 09:44

3rd week for me, started at 114kg and down to 108kg. Got one more week on the 1.5mg and move up to the 4mg.

it’s definitely working, only side effect is fatigue but it’s not getting in the way of anything.

anyone started the 4mg and noticed a difference?
I’ll be on holiday when I start the higher dose so keeping everything crossed it’ll be ok x

OneTipsyPanda · 02/08/2026 12:51

Hi all

Day 1 for me, bit the bullet after reading this thread over the past week. I’ve only got 1-1.5st to lose but decided to try the pill as although I do everything right in terms of meals, running and strength training, I am a terrible binge eater and it’s taking over my life. I’m miserable and gaining weight rapidly, so time to take control.

Took the pill at 7am and so far feel fine, a bit headachy but it’s period week so not unusual.

My biggest worry is the 8 hour fast as I get up at 5 to work out and some nights don’t eat until gone 9 so I need to figure that out.

AprilFlowersMay · 02/08/2026 13:23

@OneTipsyPanda it’s not ideal to be eating that close to sleeping anyway. I get up at 5 and try to be in bed by 10; I eat a bigger meal at lunchtime and then something light at about 6. You will find it much easier to move things round from a hunger perspective, and if you are eating less an apple and cottage cheese / hummus and crudités / a small bean salad are all quite easy snacks to eat wherever and whenever in place of dinner. Going on these pills has made me able to do what I should be doing for my body and realise how much my lifestyle was driving my overconsumption of calories. Let us know how you get on!

Thanks, yep not ideal but run club means I don’t get home until gone 8 then I shower etc. but I think I’ll eat then shower going forward which may also help me get to sleep earlier. Got tips on the snack ideas too, I probably don’t really need a full dinner and pudding that late in the evening!

browneyes77 · 02/08/2026 14:43

1 week in. Weighed myself this morning and 3lbs down.

Happy with that, given that this 1.5mg dose is only to get your body used to the medication. So wasn’t necessarily expecting big changes in the first month, but 3lbs in the first weeks is a good start!

Derechostrada · 02/08/2026 14:57

Day 3 for me.

Yesterday I physically felt the appetite suppression in that I felt actively full all day, like I couldn't fit anything in.

Today I haven't felt that way. I've had a sensible brunch which I ate all of and enjoyed and now three hours later I still feel completely satisfied and not at all like I need to eat anything.

I have been weighing but I am taking the scales with a pinch of salt because I know it could all be normal fluctuations, water weight etc

Today: 11st5

I had the MJ injection before for 3 months and had horrible side effects throughout and had to stop.

I’ve been cautious and split the pill the first 2 days (it’s supposed to make it ineffective but I definitely had some suppression), then first whole pill today.

So far so good, no side effects, good suppression. Though I understand side effects might appear a few more days in. I am going to do a whole pill every other day for a while.

Feel optimistic, as I had awful side effects from Day 1 on Mounjaro and could barely eat.

keepincool · 02/08/2026 17:14

Day 8 for me and I've put 2.2lb ON!

I really hope I start seeing results when I move up to 4mg. I still have food noise and can easily eat 2,000 call a day. I don't have any side effects though. I'm disappointed as I lost loads on the low dose Mounjaro, but will keep going for now.

digitalkiosk · 02/08/2026 17:34

Day 9 today feeling very tired and constipated. Have used senakot for the last 2 days and nothing is really moving. Lots of gurgling and stomach cramps though.

HurrahforHollywood · 02/08/2026 17:41

None of this makes me feel like I want to do it!

alwaysthepessimist · 02/08/2026 18:10

I have just received the Wegovy tablets, I used the Mounjaro injections for a year and did really well but stopped them in May, I haven’t actually gained anything back but equally I haven’t lost anything and I’m starting to snack again, I was lucky with Mounjaro as I didn’t have any side effects at all but admittedly I’m a bit nervous of the tablets in case I do as I travel on trains 3 days a week now too! I got mine from Bolt, I got a new customer deal where it was £59 for the first month and because I’m signed up to TopCashback I also got £21 cashback too so feel like I’ve had a bargain on month 1! I’m taking my first tablet in the morning so will see what happens over the next few weeks.

I had Senakot the other day as I hadn’t gone all day, so took some on the night to help get things moving (I use the Senakot Max, as I find the normal one doesn’t have much effect).

I get the stomach gurgling a fair bit. Especially 30 mins after taking my pill in the morning. And then randomly throughout the day.

I’ve been drinking camomile tea which helps settle my tummy a bit. Maybe worth a try?

socks1107 · 02/08/2026 20:29

I am hopeful my nausea is tipping, a tiny bit earlier but nothing since and managed a full swim today and 1400 calories. 'Think' I have lost a 1lb last week, I say think as I am gaining and loosing the same few since February so when I see it stick I will believe it!!

Glenthebattleostrich · Yesterday 07:08

Good morning and happy Monday everyone!

Day 7. Had gin last night and whilst feel a little rough this morning not as bad as after 1 glass of wine.

Still minimal side effects, still losing. Very much using the tablet for support with willpower. Averaging 1500 cals per day, 10000 steps per day.

Off to London with the child today, very very excited.

Oh and under 14 stone this morning!

Started at 201lb last Tuesday. Today 195.5. Very, very happy!

Not expecting such a big loss this week but fingers crossed I will get to 189lb by end of August.
