Anyone else waiting for this? I am, let’s start a thread to see how we all get on. I have two stone to lose. My DH said yesterday that ‘I am a bit plump’. Upset, though it’s true.

Is anyone considering it from 7.2mg of wegovy?

Glenthebattleostrich · 31/07/2026 14:37

Breakfast is greek yogurt and berries for me on weekdays. Scrambled eggs planned for the weekend.

I had a glass of wine last night, split it over 2 drinks with soda water. Enjoyed the flavour and think diluting it helped lots. So that may be my weekend treat.

Today, I didnt want a Greggs. This has never happened. I am a huge fan of a sneaky sausage roll and a yumyum. DD wanted Greggs lunch, I had a fruit pot, then some prawns and a little cheese when I got home.

DD and I are going to London next week (Hamilton tickets) and she wants tontry borough market and camden market so will be challenging being away from home but it is only for 2 days. Bought our train snacks and chose 1 bag of sweets and a small pack of pringles.

Well I’m on day 5 and I’ve managed to lose 2lbs. So that’s certainly put a smile on my face 🤗

I’ve been eating no more than 1300 calories most days. I’ve not felt as ‘peckish’ as usual so a lot less snacking on crisps. In fact I think I’ve only had 3 bags of crisps across the entire week. I can usually eat at least that many in a day! Have really tried to stick to healthy meal options full of protein (all my meals this week are salmon, chicken or egg based).

I did a food shop this morning, was running some errands and it got to 2pm and I realised I’d not had anything to eat. Hadn’t even thought about eating food.

I have some wine in the fridge that I’ve had no real interest in touching. Which is absolutely UNHEARD of for me. As I love my wine. If it’s in the house I’ll drink it 😂

Does anyone have any tasty filling meal ideas they’ve been having, that they can share?

Bonnybonsai · 31/07/2026 17:07

Day 7 and 600g down.

I've been aiming for 1300kcal/day, but most days it's been more like 900-1000. First time in my life that I've been struggling to eat enough!

I don't feel constipated but I've definitely been 'going' less than usual. I'm wondering if I've lost more than 600g fat and the slow digestion accounts for some of my weight. Maybe just wishful thinking!

maximc · 31/07/2026 17:15

I am on day 8. Lost a lot of weight on Mounjaro jabs & have kept all except 8lbs off. Intend to take these pills long term as my life is better without food noise. Have had some dizziness & nausea, but it just means it's working. I'm definitely feeling the difference. Last week I ate the whole tub of weekend treat ice cream for Friday & Saturday on Wednesday, & this week it's still in the freezer, & I haven't even thought about it.

Webb27 · 31/07/2026 17:28

On day 17. The tablet is definitely working as I have lost 7lbs however the last 3 days I have had terrible lethargy and nausea and I’m going on holiday on Wednesday for a week to Greece and I don’t want to feel like this for that week so I’ve going to have a ten day break and continue the rest of my 1.5mg pack when I return. I’m thinking of changing next month to have an extra month on 1.5mg as I’m having bad side effects and it’s obviously working. Anyone had this ?

ThatJadeLion · 31/07/2026 18:06

Just checking in. Been on it just over a week. 5 pounds down. Not been able to lose 5lb so effortlessly all my life. I've found the tablet amazing. In fact tonight one third of my dinner is going in the bin as I'm too full ..... and that never happens with me, I can usually eat bin lid quantities of food. Been on a steady 1200-1500 as I have epilepsy but could have eaten a lot less. I'm a chocoholic but been repulsed by chocolate and craving healthy food. The tablet is life changing. I feel so grateful I got to try it in my lifetime and I really hope I can get down to a size 12, and perhaps a little less. Staying at 1.5 for second month

Grateful sums it up. I feel so grateful too. For so long I’ve been trying to force willpower from nowhere during a prolonged period of stress in my life. I’m truly grateful for this medication.

I had to skip Wednesdays tablet due to nausea, it was just awful. I took yesterdays and skipped today’s again, I am eating full meals but feel no need to snack in between. Will weigh myself tmrw and see if I’ve lost anything at all. Aim is now to increase very slowly again to a tablet a day.
I did wander if the heat wasn’t helping so we shall see this week: I’m not giving up yet!

Ive got anti sickness tablets and they helped me a lot last week when I started.

Some of my clothes feel a bit looser, but I am wondering when I will actually be able to see a difference.

I decided to stick on 1.5 for month two, as I don’t want anything too drastic, but maybe that was a mistake

wegogovy · 01/08/2026 09:02

I bought some new pants (not trousers) yesterday and mistakenly bought a size 14 (recently I’ve gone up to a 16/18 in the arse region) They are not tight!

Glenthebattleostrich · 01/08/2026 11:35

Love the pants fitting!!

Day 5 here. Holding steady at 3lb down. Had some wine last night and woke at 2.30. Didnt buy any when i went to the shops today and didnt fancy any of the samples in Costco this morning!! Also forgot to have breakfast today and only just starting to think i may fancy some food soon.

No side effects so far. Feeling pretty good.

barabuns · 01/08/2026 11:47

Nausea hitting hard here today. I’m starting to notice that if I don’t eat some breakfast within a couple of hours I feel worse. That’s proving true for me today. Annoying.

How many days in are you? Hope it settles soon. I am so anxious of getting nauseous/sick. I am on day 3, yesterday I had two bouts of diarrhoea in the morning, I was spending the afternoon out with friends, so I took an Imodium, which I wouldn’t normally bother with in any other circumstances. I didn’t need any further Imodium and feel fine today so far. I went to bed feeling hungry last night, I ate quite a small dinner fairly early (around 5pm) and ate until I was only just about full. I felt a bit nervous to eat beyond that point, but ultimately it did mean I was hungry by bedtime! However, woke up this morning, took my tablet at around 8am, then didn’t really feel ready for breakfast until about 11ish.

I am going to try really hard not to weigh for a whole week. I’m on my period at the moment, so that normally skews it anyway. Must resist the temptation!

Just a thought for people who haven't told people that they are on Wegovy medication - it is better that your GP and next of kin know in case you need emergency medical assistance.

This is especially important if surgery is required as WL medication slows the transit of food through your system and puts you at risk of vomiting during surgery.

Day 12 for me. I really do think I need to not leave too much of a gap from taking the tablet to eating something. I’ve been taking it about 7 when I wake and having my breakfast about 9.
That wasn’t the case this morning. I’m feeling ok now I’ve had something to eat.

This is really sensible advice and actually not something I had considered.

I went through Bolt Pharmacy, so my GP is aware and it should flag on my medical records now. I haven't yet told my husband, but I do intend to.

maximc · 01/08/2026 14:01

For those with nausea: I had a rough time for 8 - 12 weeks with Mounjaro & then my body got used to it. I have some nausea on this but I think because my body has had GLP 1 experience it's adapting quicker, so do expect things to improve. I've found Fybocalm & fibre products in general to be helpful.

Bonnybonsai · 01/08/2026 14:28

Day 8 today.

Days 2-6 I had very strong appetite suppression - almost too strong.

But the last couple of days, it's as if I hadn't taken it. Already eaten more than planned today & having to push myself not to keep snacking. Hoping it's just a temporary blip.

socks1107 · 01/08/2026 14:46

@digitalkiosk do you mind me asking what tablets you got?

i weighed in and 1/2 lost. Ffs. Seriously!! I’ve not eaten a drop over what I should, no snacking low carb.
never mind hoping to increase back to daily this week and see more loss.

Derechostrada · 01/08/2026 14:52

Day 2 today and the appetite suppression kicked in really hard.

I didn't eat until about 1 because I just didn't think I could and even then I ate because I knew I needed to, so I prioritised protein, fibre etc but it was far less than I would ordinarily eat in one sitting.

It feels very counter intuitive to eat when I don't feel hungry.

Thank you for sharing! I’m getting my pills via Superdrug who I authorised to communicate all info with my GP, but discovered that my GP had not in fact been notified when I went to see her. My GP has been very supportive and I definitely agree that it’s sensible to let them know.

I also got my tablets from Superdrug, but I don’t recall them asking for authorisation to share info with my GP?

They did give me a letter to give to my GP myself however.

On Day 6 and I’ve noticed that if I eat more for my evening meal, I get quite bad stomach pain around an hour afterwards, like I’ve eaten far too much.

Couple of times I’ve had a larger portion of food and tried to finish my plate as I didn’t think I was eating enough calories (getting headaches every day), but my tummy feels super bloated and painful after. (Like that cramping feeling where you know you’re going to need the loo to ease the pain!)

No more larger portions for me! 🤦🏽‍♀️
