Anyone else waiting for this? I am, let’s start a thread to see how we all get on. I have two stone to lose. My DH said yesterday that ‘I am a bit plump’. Upset, though it’s true.

@socks1107 You've had a cold this week, and there is no way that you have gained a half a pound of body fat each day if you have been in a calorie deficit. You'd need to have been massively overeating. So the scales are showing something other than body fat, so normal fluctuations, water retention related to being ill or other reasons, scale inaccuracies and so on.

What I would do now is simply continue on with a calorie deficit as you have been. One week is far too short a time to decide that this isn't working for you. The first 4 weeks on any GLP1 might not result in any weight loss, and this is a long term process not a short term one.

You could consider double checking your TDEE and make sure that you are definitely 500 calories below that. If you were 68kg and still overweight, I guess you are quite short? Your TDEE might be lower than you think.

I wonder if because your body is used to Mounjaro you have built up a tolerance, and may need the higher dose?

Whereas for me who never took Mounjaro, my body is reacting to a lower dose.

I think that may be the case @Namechangewegovyjune26 . Hopefully I'll start to see results on a higher dose 🤞

@OneMoreCookieMonsterim the same with the tea. Lucky if I drink one now and usually I was like nobody speak to me until I have had my cuppa coffee

on the dosage. has anyone actually tried halving a tablet?

I know it’s not “recommended” but I was sent one month 1.5 and one month 4. So I’m thinking if I half month two I’m up slightly, or much the same? As I am happy with where I am.

If you wanted to stretch it, I would think it’s better to do every other day than splitting the tablet.

Twoweeksandcounting · 30/07/2026 14:25

Day one for me. I was so nervous taking my tablet this morning, I am very anxious about being sick, so I feel like I have been on high alert all day! I feel completely fine, but I know most people seem to have had the side effects kick in 3 or 4 days after starting, so I will remain anxious! I ordered through Voy, and I like that they sent a pack of anti-sickness tablets and anti-diarrhoea tablets, it feels like a bit of a safety blanket. Do other providers do the same?

I have found myself second guessing a lot today. I think I saw someone up thread mention similar. It’s like I’ll think “I don’t feel hungry. Do I normally feel hungry at this time? Do I really not want to eat those sweets, or am I just telling myself I don’t want to because this feels like the start of a diet and I’m always good at the start?” As it stands, I’ve had a fairly small portion of yoghurt and granola for breakfast and lunch was a toasted pitta, a mini cucumber, two barbecued chicken mini fillets about 5 salted tortilla chips and a spoon of sour cream dip, and I feel satisfied. That’s definitely less than I would normally eat. Can it be that I’m feeling the effects already, or is it in my mind?!

That was me!

I’m only on day 4 and still feel like I’m second guessing myself! So it’s comforting to know I’m not the only one who feels this way!

Not quite sure if it’s the pill making me feel less hungry or whether it’s psychological.

I know exactly what you mean about feeling like you’re on high alert. I’ve felt the same way. I keep googling stuff 😂

So far no nausea for me, although probably a little constipated and a bit gassy. (I even looked up whether it was normal to not feel the harsher side effects - apparently it is. Many people don’t. Some are more sensitive to the medication so it hits them harder).

I had a banana mid morning and a coffee, then a 1/2 a bagel with Philadelphia on for lunch. For tea tonight I’m having brown toast, with avocado, reduced fat bacon medallions and poached egg (super filling with the eggs!).

I’ve also bought those little kiddy boxes of raisins from Morrisons, to have as a sweet treat (that will also help with constipation hopefully 🤞🏼)

TenTenTenAgain · 30/07/2026 18:17

I started on wegovy tablets today after using the pens for 3 months. I feel like I made an expensive mistake in switching as I've felt awful all day. I took the pill as directed and have a headache , a horrible stomach ache and have felt light-headed and weak all day. I took the equivalent dose as instructed (.5-4mg) so this was a surprise , I didn't have this happen on the jab.

I really don't want to ride it out as I've got caring responsibilities at home and can't not be useful for another day.

Has anyone else experienced this?

LondonCheesecake · 30/07/2026 22:13

I'm away at the moment and really wishing I had some scales with me! I think I'm doing ok. I'm certainly eating and drinking less than I usually would while away but I'm also trying to enjoy this time and that includes nice food, although I really don't have any desire to drink alcohol. I've had a couple out of habit but not felt the need for a second glass either night. I can't really imagine a life without alcohol but equally there's no point forcing it down.

AprilFlowersMay · 31/07/2026 06:35

Just got back from five days away, and at the end of week 3, and am 8lbs down in total (since starting). I’m delighted. I’ve got a week at home then away again for work: it’s been part of why I’ve struggled to lose as not having routine or preparing your own food frequently makes it harder for me. Another month at 1.5 for me. I can’t really see or feel the loss but I believe the scales so … onwards!

poolcrew · 31/07/2026 06:56

Week 3 weigh in and another 3lbs down. 13 in total so far. Ordered another month at 1.5.

Felt a bit light headed yesterday so made sure I had a higher calorie intake for dinner which helped.

SW 12 stone 10lbs
CW 11 stone 11lbs
Height - 5’5”

Glenthebattleostrich · 31/07/2026 07:16

Day 4, i know I shouldnt really weigh daily but it is a habit i have. Another 1lb down.

I wipl be very happy to finish my first week 3lb down!

Feeling ok, no real symptoms yet. A bit tired but I am menopausal so that is my normal. Mild headache but again, menopause is the gift that keeps giving!!!

Bookaholic73 · 31/07/2026 07:29

Oh my god , I’m still so constipated!
today is day 3 of no poop. 💩

I’ve tried:
walking
water
prunes
prune juice
chia seeds
coffee
fruit & veg (I eat about 25g fibre daily)
massaging my tummy

nothing is working! I think I might have to give in and get something OTC to help. But I’m on a bus for 12hrs tomorrow and then away for a week!

LondonCheesecake · 31/07/2026 08:29

Thank you April I hope to be the same as you. I won't actually mind if I put on 2 or 3lb, I just don't want it to be 7-10!

Book are you definitely constipated? TMI: I always go less often when I'm dieting as quite simply there's less going in so less to come out. If you're not uncomfortable I wouldn't worry about it

Bookaholic73 · 31/07/2026 08:42

London, hallelujah I have managed to go. 🎉 Sorry to give you all such detailed information on my bowel habits.

FlorenceLyons · 31/07/2026 09:09

End of week 2 for me, and I’ve lost another 3lb, so 8lb in total so far. Really happy with that.

I feel I understand a bit more how it’s working for me now. It definitely hasn’t got rid of all the food noise - I’m still having to exercise willpower. But it’s got rid of enough to help me to do that, and a good initial loss is also adding to the willpower.

I’ve been eating smaller portions and feeling satisfied with that, but last night was the first time I’d felt the ‘I really can’t eat any more’ feeling. I had a steak, couldn’t even manage half of it, and felt a bit uncomfortable for the rest of the evening even after that. So it’s definitely having more than a placebo effect, which I was starting to wonder!

I’m sticking with 1.5mg next month, and will revisit after that if necessary.

Derechostrada · 31/07/2026 09:21

I took my first 1.5mg tablet this morning. Not had any sort of WLI medication before so starting from scratch.

I'm 5ft 2 and 11 stone 8 or 9 , which at my height puts me a shade under obese. It's the heaviest I've been in my life and at 48 I am finding it so hard to shift and am constantly chasing around the same half a stone on and off. If I can get 2 - 2.5 stone off for good I will be delighted.

Nervous about side effects and embarrassingly I haven't managed to find the words to tell my husband what I'm doing.

I didn’t tell my husband until yesterday. He’d noticed the weight loss so I felt I had to tell him as he was worried about me. I’ve had some issues requiring a colonoscopy so he was concerned I was ill. He was very understanding and supportive. He knows how miserable being overweight makes me and now he knows, he will be able to make me smaller meals and not offer me chocolate etc.

He clearly cares about you very much and I am glad his reaction was supportive.

My husband also knows how miserable I am with the weight gain - ten years ago was 8.5 stone and under - but he keeps reassuring me that he doesn't care and he still finds me attractive etc. I believe him, but it's not about him. I know that he will worry about long term effects and think it's reckless from that point of view. He is a large guy himself, always has been to some extent and I do have a slight concern he might worry me doing this is a bit of a judgement about him, which it's not.

Mostly though I don't like having to explain myself to anyone and this is something that will require explanation 😆I guess at some point we have some big conversations to have.

socks1107 · 31/07/2026 09:57

I haven’t told my husband or anyone. I’ve lost a huge chunk myself and cannot shift the last bit and although he knows I still need that last bit off he doesn’t really need to know how as I’m in a deficit like the last 19 months so no big changes. He’s been so so supportive of my calorie counting and I know he’d be supportive of the tablets but I feel it’s a bit personal so am keeping it to myself for now see how I get on.

I took yesterday’s tablet and had no side effects and stuck to my calories without any issues. Today I’ve not taken it and will take again tmrw as planned. I can’t face that nausea again so I’ll increase slowly and steadily. Really hoping to see a loss on tbe scales now my cold has gone and the heatwave is over - will weigh tmrw

beconsistent23 · 31/07/2026 12:06

Great to hear how you are all doing. I had some wine (two decent glasses) for the first time (day 8) and feel dreadful. Difficulty sleeping, dodgy tummy - ugh. Guess that might be a good thing in the long run!

LondonCheesecake · 31/07/2026 12:41

I haven't told anyone. My DH has always been within normal range weight wise. If ever he does creep up he just eats sensibly for 2-3 weeks and is back to a healthy weight. He is also autistic and sees things in a very black and white way. I know he will be disappointed that I'm spending so much money as he can't understand why I can't just count calories too (which is a good question and one that I'm trying to figure out myself). Anyway, he'll never know and I doubt I'll ever tell anyone

SweetBaklava · 31/07/2026 13:13

DH is the only one I’ve told for now, I’m tracking using WW at the same time so I will attribute losses to that. It’s no one’s business but our own 🤷🏻‍♀️ I may tell some close family friends at some point. I’ve got a Coke Zero addiction that is lifting… myself and my DH are both very happy at this side effect 😄

I’m on Day 12 and still experiencing some side effects but they are mild and tolerable. At the moment I’m planning to increase my dose next month, but I doubt I’ll go any higher after that - I don’t want to lose the weight too quickly.

Overthebow · 31/07/2026 13:24

My first pills got delivered today so will start tomorrow. I’ve got around 3 stone to lose and have struggled with baby weight for the last few years so looking forward to getting started. What are you all eating for breakfast? I’ve got lunch and dinner ideas but struggling with breakfast.

I’ve developed the same habit and also lost it overnight on the pills which is such a bonus. I’ve also only told my husband and he’s very supportive

I was never good with breakfast to begin with but would usually skip it and then be starving and grab a pastry on the go.

Now I eat a banana and it’s more than enough for me. I have a good sized lunch and a smaller dinner. My stomach has been happy with soups, wholemeal sandwiches, lighter pasta dishes, salmon, eggs. Chilli and curry aren’t sitting well which is a shame. I have the tiniest amount with mostly rice and avocado. Stomach just can’t handle it.

NoMoreCakeForBreakfast · 31/07/2026 13:45

Can I join? Id been reading this thread as I wanted to see how people toom to the pill before I started. I started on Saturday. Felt a little unwell on Saturday morning but it passed and so far no other side effects.

I have 4 stone to lose.

The appetite suppression is amazing for me. I was a coke and chocolate girl, have a can of coke and a bar of chocolate every day, and sometimes in the evening, id have coke and crisps at night. Not touched any processed food since I started and dond I dont have the urge to eat them either.

Same for wine!! No wine since last Friday. Unheard of for me. I like a couple of glasses in the evening usually, not every night but most.

I have found though that I am a bit hungrier today but ive got my protein bars and fruit with me.

I have found that but have stopped thinking about food. Yay!!

Its only been one week for me but i think I'll stick to the 1.5 for another month at least

I do need to start exercising though.
