Anyone else waiting for this? I am, let’s start a thread to see how we all get on. I have two stone to lose. My DH said yesterday that ‘I am a bit plump’. Upset, though it’s true.

I’m the same with the fizzy drinks. I developed a horrendous Diet Coke addiction and now I can’t stomach it. A couple of times I’ve opened a can to have a sip as they’re in the fridge but can’t manage more than that. I didn’t buy them in my weekly shop for the first time in years.

StickyProblem · 29/07/2026 20:41

Hi all, glad I found this thread! I’m on day 12, 3 stone to lose which will take me 2 stone under the lightest I’ve been in 30 years!
My main issue was heartburn during workouts but I’ve found a hydration drink beforehand very much helps. I work out 4x a week although don’t get the 7500 steps in I’m aiming for very often…
I’m amazed how well it’s working! I’m 14lbs down since starting the app, 5lbs down since starting the pills, using Juniper which is really good although will probably change to whatever is cheapest after 3 months. I asked Juniper should I stay on the 1.5mg as it seems to be working, seems like others are having similar experiences.

Bookaholic73 · 29/07/2026 20:43

I’ve started suffering with constipation, I’m on day 7.
I’m drinking plenty of water, walking, eating fruit and veg etc.
But I can’t poop 💩
Even my morning coffee isn’t helping 😬

StickyProblem · 29/07/2026 20:44

Like you @OneMoreCookieMonster I was a real “tea belly” as my FIL calls it and now I’m not bothered.

A tea Jenny we say in Scotland 😁

wegogovy · 29/07/2026 20:51

I’ve actually switched to pukka lemon and ginger tea because I’ve gone off proper tea, and I’ve had a cup of tea every morning practically since I was born!

pinkdyno · 29/07/2026 20:22

@OneMoreCookieMonsterim the same with the tea. Lucky if I drink one now and usually I was like nobody speak to me until I have had my cuppa coffee

on the dosage. has anyone actually tried halving a tablet?

I know it’s not “recommended” but I was sent one month 1.5 and one month 4. So I’m thinking if I half month two I’m up slightly, or much the same? As I am happy with where I am.

The only reason it isn’t recommended to break up pills is because they have a special make up (SNAC) that helps them absorb properly.

If you break them up or crush them, it disturbs this and they won’t absorb properly and therefore won’t work properly.

I did look this up as it was a worry of mine (I had an enlarged bowl as a child and now suffer with IBD).

You can take mild laxatives to help with constipation.

So I have Senakot Max on standby just in case!

I’d rather try and deal with it naturally before taking laxatives, but I’ll definitely use them if needs be.

I’ve been drinking a lot of Camomile tea! 🌼

Yes I’m the same. I’ve been trying to drink more fluids and up my fibre intake to try and keep my bowels moving.

The Senakot is there for when desperate times call for desperate measures! 😁

I’m still on the first dose. Week 3 and no signs it’s working yet. Anyone else who has had this?

I have had similar. But I’ve started adding half a pouch of prune puree with my breakfast. I bought some in the baby food aisle, you know those little Ella’s pouches (though I bought Sainsbury’s own brand). Its worked a treat! I’m not keen on the taste but I slurp half a pouch then have a mouthful of tea! (Along with plenty of fluids and fibre).

Yes me, I had initial suppression and felt really full. The last week I've barely had this at all. I've put weight back on in fact. Feeling a bit downhearted but am guessing I'll need to go on the 4mg. I start week 3 tomorrow.

OneMoreCookieMonster · 29/07/2026 22:53

Happy to hear I'm not the only one shunning hot drinks. I now drink a minimum of 2L of water daily. The only water I use to drink was if it was in a mug. I must have been consuming a shit tonne of hidden calories as I would always have whole milk in coffee and semi in tea

Not to mention the stupidly expensive coffee shop habit I had. Quitting the costly coffee habit means that even with paying for the tablets I'm in fact saving money every month. Oh and not buying the latest fad pastry to 'try'

Edited because I'm a moron.

digitalkiosk · 30/07/2026 06:16

How do you work out what your calories should be?

beconsistent23 · 30/07/2026 07:14

Week 1 done. Scales show drop of over 4lbs. I can enjoy my food but smaller portions, a lot less snacking and no desire for wine. For now that’s enough for me and will see how week 2 goes.

poolcrew · 30/07/2026 07:22

digitalkiosk · 30/07/2026 06:16

How do you work out what your calories should be?

If you enter your details on an online TDEE calculator it will work out what you should be eating based on activity/lifestyle, then work out a weight loss deficit based on how much you want to lose. My daily target is 1400 but am only managing 1100 max at the moment. I track what I eat on Nutracheck

socks1107 · 30/07/2026 07:29

I'm putting on weight daily. Just no words this was my last idea at loosing the last half a stone and being a healthy bmi.
I’ve eaten well under calorie goal, suffered horrible nausea and for no weight loss. What on earth do I do now

Are you still on the first dose? I’ve not lost anything yet. Hoping when I go onto 4mg something happens!

socks1107 · 30/07/2026 08:19

@Lizziewest88 yes but with horrible horrible
nausea and eating 1300 calories a day all week max. I thought for that I’d see some loss not a gain every single day of another half pound. I’m heavier now than I was a week ago when I placed the order

Could it be a bit of water retention?

Because your digestion slows down you may be holding on to more water.

Are you quite bloated too? (I know I am!)

I know the 1.5mg dose is just to get your body adjusted to the medication and not everyone will lose on that dose. The 4mg dose is where it really starts to kick in I believe.

If you’re in a calorie deficit, then it may not be extra weight, but extra water your body is holding onto?

Britishtrees · 30/07/2026 08:54

Day 12, inspired by this thread.using MyNetDiary to track food intake. Day 3 got warning not enough calories, so now ensuring 1300 a day to get good nutrition with little processed food. So what I’ve noticed: slight nausea. Food noise still there but can be ignored half the time. I can resist ice cream and chocolate. First week lost 2.2kg. Finding it harder to drink than before, but forcing water down. Constipation under control with lots of fruit and veggies, with a couple of tinned prunes with yogurt , berries and seeds for breakfast. No change to taste. Feel a little weak in gym, but absolutely keeping it up. The weird thing is jaw clamping and dry mouth-like when I was on SSRIs years ago. Feeling very clear headed, but guess that’s good and v little alcohol.
