Anyone else waiting for this? I am, let’s start a thread to see how we all get on. I have two stone to lose. My DH said yesterday that ‘I am a bit plump’. Upset, though it’s true.

Will most people be going up to 4mg?

I am a couple of weeks in, and happy with how things are going currently. I have stopped snacking, my portion sizes have decreased, and I am eating cleaner. I am also doing more exercise.

For the moment I don’t see what the advantage would be of upping the dosage, as I don’t think it would be healthy for me to eat less. Is there something I am missing? Will 1.5 stop working at some point?

I had the same questions and checked in with the Voy AI chat. I’ve decided to get the 4mg but will just see how it goes. It’s all trial and error and I think it can take longer to see a plateauing on the 1.5, but maybe in a few months you’d feel it wasn’t working as effectively as it was in the early days.

My plan was always - maintain the lowest dose possible that works. So, if it's working for you I would stick to 1.5mg.

I havent lost anything so I will go up to 4mg. If 1.5mg was having an effect I think I would stay on that

If the rest of the month stays like this, I won’t be going up to 4mg. The 1.5 is working really well for me, and I’ve lost weight.
Most importantly, it’s helped me with what I wanted, the desire to binge less.

Wow. Just wow.

I’ve lost 1kg overnight, despite going over my calories last night.

Part of me is very happy, obviously. But I’m also a little worried as I don’t want to lose so fast. I want to be able to maintain my weight loss once I come off the Wegovy.

So I’m now 2kg down in 4 days 🤯

the first week was like this for me. I think there was a lot of water weight.

SW: 74kg
After 7 days: 71.2kg (-2.8)
After 14 days: 70.4kg (-0.8)

overall 3.6kg but majority in first week and a half. It’s slower now. I’m hoping by 21 days to be between 69.5 and 70 :)

I’m doing my second month on 1.5 as it’s been going well. For my third month I’ll see if I’ve noticed any appetite returning or changes to my food noise before deciding.

theres no one answer as everyone is affected differently.

24HoursFromTulseHill · 26/07/2026 15:22

Same - I'm happy with my loss rate for month 1 (approaching 3kg in 3 weeks) on 1.5mg so I'm going to stay on that for month 2.
If my loss rate plateaus then I'll go up to the next dose for month 3 but I always wanted to be on the lowest dose possible, even if that means a longer journey.
I don't want to loose my appetite completely, just be able to better manage my hunger & cravings.
So far, that's working on 1.5mg but I'm open to going up a dose if I need to.

Femaleone · 26/07/2026 15:30

Has anyone went up to 4mg on the second month and noticed increased side effects and found they couldn't tolerate it?

I'm debating with myself whether to increase for my second month as on 1.5 side effects were very minimal to nothing.

rivalsbinge · 26/07/2026 16:05

I’ve done a week now but slept in past 10am and totally forget to take ny pill so I’m skipping today. Start again tomorrow has anyone done this, I still don’t feel like eating much so hopefully I won’t raid the fridge later!!

Vlavlg · 26/07/2026 18:06

I am on Day 16. I haven’t found a huge difference although I am able to avoid snacking but this is mainly because I’m not buying
snack foods - if they were there I would struggle not to eat them.

I am 5ft 8 and started at 85kg. Today I’m 84kg. Minimal side effects - tiny bit of nausea occasionally and possibly feel a bit less hungry overall.

I have been approved to move to 4mg for month 2. If that doesn’t prove effective I will probably stop. Was really hoping to stay on 1.5mg - feeling a bit disappointed.

Hiya.
can I join in please?

ivd been on Mounjaro 15 months and lost 7st 2lb so far but looking to switch to the tablets…. it will save a lot of money!!

I have about 3st left to lose. Pharmacist suggested switching to 9mg tablets for first month then going up if needed as I’ve been on 15mg of Mounjaro.

DH has been on the lowest dose tablets for about 2 weeks ish and not issues so far.

browneyes77 · 26/07/2026 18:36

Ooh glad I found this thread.

I am a needlephobe so was happy when the pills came out as there’s no way I could inject myself! Got mine from Superdrug as wanted a brand name I knew. Cost £79 (with £20 off).

I’ve had my pills for a week, but the day after they arrived I was booked in for tooth extraction with sedation, so I’ve held off for a week as I was scared of vomiting and dislodging my blood clot!

I am going to take my first one tomorrow so fingers crossed they help! 🤞🏼

I managed to lose a stone myself earlier this year, but got to a sticking point and still have 3 stone to lose 😩

browneyes77 · 26/07/2026 19:14

HurrahforHollywood · 15/07/2026 21:48

Just put off as they want a photo from at least three feet away of me in underwear or swimwear from all angles!

I did mine with Superdrug and I didn’t have to wear swimwear for my pics

They just asked for you to have a picture that shows you from head to toe and in tighter clothing. I literally just wore my skinny jeans and a gym vest top that is now a bit too small 🤣

I’ve been following this thread with interest, hoping to join you all. However, today I was turned down by Voy because I have mild and well-controlled ulcerative colitis. Frustratingly it’s not specifically contraindicated in the MHRC (or FDA) guidelines, but ‘most UK pharmacies’ according to the Voy AI won’t risk prescribing GLP-1 medication in case of unknown additional GI side effects. So I would be interested to know if any of you have been able to get GLP-1 medicines prescribed with UC or other IBD, and if so, from which provider. Long shot, I know, but thank you!

I have IBD. (Proctitis caused by UC) and I was accepted by Superdrug

Glenthebattleostrich · 26/07/2026 21:59

My pills arrive tomorrow afternoon so will be starting them on Tuesday. Anyone starting this week fancy a buddy?

I am 5ft 5.5 and 14 st 5. Ideally I want to lose 3 stone and go from an 18 to a 12.

slantedbutenchanted · 26/07/2026 22:33

@Glenthebattleostrich I am starting mine tomorrow. I am nervous but want to give them a bash. I am 5ft 4 and 13stone 2Ibs atm and would like to get around 11 stone 🤞

MrsSuu · 26/07/2026 23:04

I’m on day two… no change other than having hot flushes! Anyone else experienced this?

Yes. I had bad hot flushes on Saturday which was day 2 for me. I was better yesterday. I was busy on Saturday getting haircut and shopping.

Yes also had hot flushes on day 1 - on day 2 they weren’t as bad but felt myself getting very cold in the evening.. day 3 today hopefully they won’t appear!

I’ve been using WLI for more than 2 years, been maintaining on 15mg for around a year.

I’ve switched to the 9mg pill due to cost, but after around 10 days I’ve gone back to Mounjaro due to a return of food noise.

I’m hoping to give the swap another try once the stronger pill is available.

To give hope and an idea of what’s possible… I’m 5,4 and weighed 14,1 when I started. I had a target of 10,3-5ish.

I went pretty slowly, this was no single year event, but gently and eventually got to 10,3 and then just kept going. Not really intentionally, just continued to eat healthily. My weight has now seemed to find a new rebalance of 9,5-7ish and been there about a year ☺️

millym102 · 27/07/2026 08:07

Third check in and I've put on a kilo. Really gutted. I felt it was going so well. Went camping with friends this weekend and ate far less than I normally would. And went for a run, active most of the time etc etc. But do have period so there is that, but I still expected a good loss. Bit hacked off.

pinkdyno · 27/07/2026 08:19

First check in. One week.

9lb loss.

delighted.

browneyes77 · 27/07/2026 08:55

Took my first pill at 8.20am.

Feel quite nervous wondering if I’ll have any side effects of nausea, constipation etc!

I don’t normally eat breakfast though, should I start to going forward?

I’m not usually hungry in the morning so that’s why I don’t eat breakfast, although 30 mins into taking this pill and my belly is rumbling and groaning? Not sure if it’s the tablet making its way into my gut that’s causing the noises or whether I’m actually hungry in the morning for once! 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m really hoping these pills quieten the wine noise! 😂 Because I love wine a bit too much! That and ruddy crisps! I always reach for the crisps when I snack and if I’ve had wine I can eat a ton of the bloody things!

Edited

I never eat breakfast and that hasn’t changed with the pill. What’s changed for me is lunch is now my main meal of the day, and dinner is much lighter.

wegogovy · 27/07/2026 09:14

I’m on day 6, no major issues but a few mild side effects. Day 1 I felt a bit sick after my lunch, drank loads of water and sucked on a mint which sorted it out. I also felt tired and spaced out - that hasn’t happened since. Felt a bit bloated on days 2 - 3. I also was having hot flushes. By day 4 that had gone. I’m definitely having a level of appetite suppression, I’m having smaller portion sizes for my dinner and I haven’t snacked at all since I started. I’ll be weighing myself tomorrow to see if there’s any change there. I think though that I will increase to the 4mg for my next order seeing as I’ve tolerated this starting dose so far.
