Anyone else waiting for this? I am, let’s start a thread to see how we all get on. I have two stone to lose. My DH said yesterday that ‘I am a bit plump’. Upset, though it’s true.

Checking in on week 1. I’ve lost 5lbs. So pretty solid start. I do however feel so nauseous today. I’ve had a small bit most days but manageable but today I’m feeling awful. I had quite a large gap from taking the pill to eating anything so I wonder if I need to have something within the hour as weirdly having something to eat does seem to help.
Anyway, a decent start?

SweetBaklava · 27/07/2026 09:18

Good luck to everyone starting this week!

I weighed this morning and I’ve lost 3lb - I’m thrilled! If that trajectory continues I’ll be very happy 😊 Overall very minor side effects, a little bit of tiredness, mild nausea a couple of times that usually disappears quickly. I’ve been drinking loads of water - it’s a good incentive! (ETA… just completed Week 1, height 5ft, SW 13st 9.5, now 13st 6.5)

Fourlemons · 27/07/2026 09:19

I'm several weeks in and a little disappointed. The first few days were brilliant as I had no appetite and dropped lbs but I think that was just the initial side effects. Since then I haven't felt much impact and havent lost any more weight. I'm eating a bit less than normal but still too much to make a dent in my perimenopausal belly! I am going up to 4mg next month so that may be better.

snoopydoopydo · 27/07/2026 09:21

Day 14 for me. Side effects.seem to have settled down and I've lost 3lbs, which isn't a lot, but it's been pretty effortless, so I'll take it. I'm going to reorder the same dose for next month and see how it goes. I really want to do some work on my relationship with food while I'm on this, so that hopefully I can come off and keep the weight off.

socks1107 · 27/07/2026 09:58

I took pill two today. Yesterday was fine, ate a smaller dinner but that’s because I was conscious of overeating and feeling sick. I did indeed feel sick this morning and starving but I have a head cold so nit ideal timing tbh.
I did however not creep over my calories and stayed at the solid 1400. Hoping for some loss this week!

Glenthebattleostrich · 27/07/2026 10:25

Thanks @MustyDooDah that is good to hear.

Hope you are feeling ok day 1 @slantedbutenchanted

Do you think the tablet might work one every other day once we get to target weight? Wondering if they would prescribe that way. Just as a maintenance dose.

When I was researching into this pill, I wasn’t expecting a huge weight loss the first month on the starter dose, because although people do lose weight when starting, it said the starter dose is more to get your body used to the tablets and the significant changes come when the dosage increases.

Day 19:
SW 70kg
CW 67.8kg
I have not been able to go below 70kg for decades, so I'm impressed. If I get to 65kg, that's the top end of my healthy BMI, so I could stop there. My worry is how to maintain a healthy BMI without semaglutide as I presume I will be starving hungry!

Good idea. I might try this.

This is what I’m hoping to do, it would cut the monthly cost in half! So far I’m eating far less on the 1.5mg and losing weight so I’m hoping I don’t have to increase the dose either.

This is also my worry and why I have put it off for so long. But I’m guessing I’ll cross that bridge when I get there because I have been loosing my mind with no weight loss for six months. I figure I’m great at maintaining

Mariettta · 27/07/2026 11:37

I'm good at maintaining at 70kg and have done it for a few years now. Will it be as easy to maintain at 65kg? We will see. My plan now is to stay on the low dose pill until I get to my healthy BMI, then go to half a pill a day or one pill every other day and see if I can maintain on that. Then I will have to stop as I can't afford this for more than 6 months!

I don’t think you’re supposed to break the pills up as it impacts the absorption.

So if you had half a pill then it may not work.

Just something to consider 🙂

Same maintaining at around 68kg ( down from 90 last year) so my hope is this pushes me to 65 and I can continue maintaining there

Hi, I'm joining in. It's day 3 for me and it appears to be going okay. I went from 13st 3lb to 9st 3lb on Mounjaro (I'm 5' 3"), but stopped when the price was increased last year. I've since put a stone back on. I've ordered from Zava and went for the 2 month package of 1.5mg & 4mg. So far all is okay. No major side effects. I still feel hunger and am still snacking, but not as much. I lost slow and steady on Mounjaro and am going to take the same approach with Wegovy.

rivalsbinge · 27/07/2026 16:52

I wanted to add early days for me but I had my gallbladder removed last year, not weight loss related, and I’ve already found after a week that the indigestion, and residual issues I’ve had since surgery are calming down. I did a bit of googling and it appears as I’m eating smaller amounts and the food is taking longer to digest this could in fact be why I’m noticing a difference, I feel better in a week.

LondonCheesecake · 27/07/2026 17:07

I don't know if I've already mentioned bit on this thread but I'm using Slimpod alongside the pills. I need this to be a permanent change so I'm trying to change my attitude to food. Today should be day 9 but I was unable to take my dose this morning. I've really tried to make good choices and eat consciously. I have definitely found it more challenging than it has been but so far I've done ok.

Solasum · 27/07/2026 17:15

Has anyone else had period changes?

I actually have the Slimpod programme on my phone, perhaps I'll start listening again. I always give up with the coaching videos, but now is a brilliant time to revisit it all. I really want to come of the meds when I'm at target weight and keep it off!

Just a question to see if anyone else feels a bit like this

I had my first tablet this morning. No major side effects as of yet (although I did feel very sleepy this afternoon).

I’ve eaten around 400 calories less than I usually eat today (I monitor them on MyFitnessPal). So I’ve only eaten around 1000 (and have been picky about what I’ve eaten. Boiled eggs for breakfast, half a bagel for lunch and salmon fillet with veg for tea).

I don’t know however, whether this is genuinely because I don’t feel as hungry due to the tablet, or whether I’ve held off on eating more due to being nervous of eating too much and kicking off any side effects.

Anyone else had/felt the same?

Me. I have only been eating 1000 a day and I am on day 4. I just can’t stomach anymore. I don’t know if that will wear off as my body gets used to the pill or not.

socks1107 · 27/07/2026 19:12

I wish that was me! Day 2 and I have battled hunger all day. Keep opening cupboards and looking for food. I’ve gone 200 calories over, am still a bit hungry and managed 200g of carbs. Really fed up tbh this was my last attempt at the last 7lbs or so after 19 months cc with a holiday in 7 weeks.
I also have a head cold and it’s a heatwave - all things that curb appetite in normal people!

if you’ve got a cold you just need to eat what you want and get better, don’t beat yourself up!

I am on Day 16. I haven’t found a huge difference although I am able to avoid snacking but this is mainly because I’m not buying
snack foods - if they were there I would struggle not to eat them.

I am 5ft 8 and started at 85kg. Today I’m 84kg. Minimal side effects - tiny bit of nausea occasionally and possibly feel a bit less hungry overall.

I have been approved to move to 4mg for month 2. If that doesn’t prove effective I will probably stop. Was really hoping to stay on 1.5mg - feeling a bit disappointed.

Edited

Same. I’m 5ft 8 got about 3 1/2 stone to lose. On day 15 and not lost anything. Hoping I might see some results when I go up to the next dose.
