Anyone else waiting for this? I am, let’s start a thread to see how we all get on. I have two stone to lose. My DH said yesterday that ‘I am a bit plump’. Upset, though it’s true.

I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow as I started last Sunday. I think I've been eating better/less but it's hard to tell. I think I have quite disordered eating anyway. Every new diet I throw myself into it and think I'm doing brilliantly eating nothing and that I've finally cracked it and within days, possibly weeks, I've gone back to old habits. So, I'm not sure if this is the pill or me.

I'm also doing Slimpod to try and permanently change my eating pattern. Trying to eat more mindfully and drink more water. This has to work, there really are no other options

I've been on the pills for 2 weeks now. Lost 5lbs, however put 2 back on after a bit of a boozy weekend. I've now lost these two pounds & am carrying on. Finding I can't finish meals, also not hungry at lunchtime. No real side effects which is what I worried about. Slow & steady weight loss which i think is the best way.

maximc · 25/07/2026 10:30

I got my pills on Wednesday. Been taking it when I wake up for a pee between 4 - 6am so I can eat when I get up. Lost 5.5 stone on Mounjaro & finished in May last year, 8lbs has gone back on, so excited to get down to goal again & hopefully use this as long term maintenance, which I couldn't afford w MJ. Very encouraged to notice lots of accounts of early progress. I was waking up hungry at 7am before starting, but it's 10.30 & I haven't bothered w breakfast yet, so definite difference.

FitAt50 · 25/07/2026 15:09

Completed my first week on Wegovy pills and lost 4lbs without really trying. Got 1 1/2 stone to lose to get a 24bmi and determined to do it by Holiday in October. I am with bolt and have a referral discount code if anyone needs one.

Bookaholic73 · 25/07/2026 17:30

I’ve had minimal suppression today. Felt normal hunger at points today, but I was expecting ups and downs in the first few weeks.
I’ve had a few moments of feeling quite spaced out and having a watery mouth today, but nothing major.

devfire · 25/07/2026 20:41

My tablets arrived last week and I've still not taken them, thinking about starting on Monday but worried.

digitalkiosk · 25/07/2026 20:47

Day 2 today. Felt very sick most of the afternoon but better now. I have had a lot of hot flushes today as well.

Glenthebattleostrich · 25/07/2026 21:18

Well I have taken the plunge and ordered from MedExpress. Just waiting to aee if they approve my order and dispach the meds.

Wanted to try a month before i subscribe.

Any tios on mininising the side effects?

AprilFlowersMay · 25/07/2026 21:36

@Glenthebattleostrich you might not have any at all; I haven’t. Things I knew to do: make sure you drink plenty of water; eat at least three small meals spaced at regular intervals (and eat breakfast); make sure you get protein and fibre in every time you eat; move (movement helps bowel motility); avoid very fatty food and stop eating as soon as you get the feeling full signal. I was worried about nausea and constipation but I have no suggestion of either at 1.5. Good luck!

Glenthebattleostrich · 25/07/2026 22:18

Thank you @AprilFlowersMay

Great advice, i will pull tigether a menu plan over the next few days. I tend to eat quite higb protein so will continue with that and lots of salad and fruit.

LondonCheesecake · 26/07/2026 08:09

Week 1 done. Very slight nausea on day 1 and I've felt a bit tired generally but life has been very full on so it may have just been that causing it. I feel I've eaten less but also, crucially for me, eaten like a 'normal' person. We had pizza for dinner the other night, I attended a work meeting with pastries on offer and I've even been to the pub- where I, rather uncharacteristically, had a diet coke. Anyway, the big reveal, 5.4lb down. I'm so happy. I have a lot to lose so I will be taking this for months, possibly forever but it finally feels achievable

fascinatingRhythm · 26/07/2026 08:18

Its been 3 weeks now on 1.5mg and I havent lost a single bloody pound.

I dont understand - I am definitely eating less and ive been an absolute maniac at the gym about 2-3 times a week.

WTF? I feel so disappointed ☹️

Maybe I need to go up to 4mg which is the next level- anyone else experiencing this?

@FitAt50I’m about to order via Bolt and would love a discount code if you still have one? TIA 😊

It was my turn to do the 3 am nightclub run for DS and his cousins last night. I was absolutely starving. Set my alarm for 6, took my tablet and then slept til 8 not hungry again!

Bookaholic73 · 26/07/2026 09:47

Wow. Just wow.

I’ve lost 1kg overnight, despite going over my calories last night.

Part of me is very happy, obviously. But I’m also a little worried as I don’t want to lose so fast. I want to be able to maintain my weight loss once I come off the Wegovy.

So I’m now 2kg down in 4 days 🤯

Yetanotherone12 · 26/07/2026 09:57

I am 5lbs down in 2.5 weeks.

i am eating “normally”, not counting calories, eating when I’m hungry. Eating what I want.

I’m finding I’m fuller on less, and for longer. Last night at work I had a quick pot noodle in my 10 min break. Normally I’d be miserable knowing I’d be hungry still and have to fight the biscuits for the rest of the night. But last night I had my noodles, then a go ahead bar later, and that was it. No constantly prowling thinking “what else can I eat” and doing the food maths- if I have a 50 cal yoghurt, will that be enough and will I give in to toast as well, or should I skip the yoghurt and just have the toast which will probably fill me up more…

I’m realising I approached every meal knowing my portions were too big, but also knowing if I didn’t eat I’d be snacking later. Almost a fear of not feeling full.

Are you calorie counting too?
Maybe give that a try for a week, as you may be still eating higher calories than your body needs despite eating less.

No rigidly but I am sort of totting it up daily as I go, but I am definitely eating less.

I am going to try going up to 4mg next time and see if that makes a difference

Same! No weight loss and no appetite suppression anymore in the evening. I'm going to finish the 1.5mg and I have the 4mg ready to go in 12 days or so. I know that the 1.5mg isn't a therapeutic dose. It's just to allow your body to get used to it.

Yes thats what I was thinking - its meant to get your body used to it.

Hopefully 4mg will help

I started logging my food on MyFitnessPal last week when I began the tablets. I think the Wegovy is making it easier for me to stay below my TDEE. Plus, I’ve completely rethought my diet.

Thehumblesmidge · 26/07/2026 11:57

I’ve now lost 9lbs in 2 weeks. Very pleased but I am struggling to find the balance of lighter meals with enough nutrients as well as avoiding heartburn at night. The appetite suppression is strong for me. I’m also finding I’m very reactive to food now so if I have something that doesn’t agree on the pills I can have horrible heartburn in the middle of the night. I need to make more of an effort to keep things as light as I can. I used to absolutely demolish dinners like curry or chilli of an evening and in huge portions. I can’t cope with anything close to that now.

Solasum · 26/07/2026 11:57

Will most people be going up to 4mg?

I am a couple of weeks in, and happy with how things are going currently. I have stopped snacking, my portion sizes have decreased, and I am eating cleaner. I am also doing more exercise.

For the moment I don’t see what the advantage would be of upping the dosage, as I don’t think it would be healthy for me to eat less. Is there something I am missing? Will 1.5 stop working at some point?
