Anyone else waiting for this? I am, let’s start a thread to see how we all get on. I have two stone to lose. My DH said yesterday that ‘I am a bit plump’. Upset, though it’s true.

Day one. Last week was not a good week to start so waited till today.

feeling sick at moment and a little light headed.

Was ok till I made my morning cuppa.

Day 1 here… took the pill around 8am and had a banana at 10am. So far feeling ok, not hungry - but that could be psychological 😆 not going to attribute this to the pill when I’m only a few hours in, let’s see how the rest of the day goes. Going to try and knock the pill back a bit quicker tomorrow, the coating touched my tongue and the after taste was bit yuck. I’ve got WW membership and I’ve switched it over to GLP1 support to keep track of protein intake. Although at the moment they only acknowledge the jabs - hopefully the app will get updated to include the pills.

I weigh every day as I can’t help myself. Need to wean myself off it though. I record my weight ‘officially’ on a Friday as have done that for the past 15 years. I started the tablets on a Sunday so will probably do a twice a week weigh if I can. I struggle with weekends and being out of routine/having an extra glass of wine/eating out so just want to keep an eye.

Week one in the bag and 6 pounds down. Not expecting that level of loss every week but am thrilled with that.

How am I feeling? Headaches have gone. Still very thirsty. Constipated. Not hungry at all. Having around 800 calories a day on a weekday, and 1500 on the weekend (went for dinner on Friday and had people over on Sunday so had more treat food than I would normally)

I reacted fast so you never know. The nausea hit me hard after only a few hours of taking the first pill and lasted for the first 2 days. Thankfully it was short lived and I’ve felt normal since except for a huge decrease in appetite.

The biggest change for me is I don’t feel any desire to snack on chocolate in the evening. That’s a huge change.

I’m on day 8 and have lost 7 pounds. It freaked me out a bit but the AI chat said it’s normal in the early days especially as I’m starting from a very high weight. Probably a lot of water weight. Just scared of gallstones! And I do need to make more effort with drinking water as my sense of thirst has disappeared with my appetite too!

Day 4 and I'm down 5 pounds which Im happy with. I feel exhausted and a bit grumpy so I don't think i will be able to stay on them too long. If I can shift a stone to 1.5 I'll be happy 😊

Hopefully that passes. My first few days felt exhausted like the run up to my period. That feeling has passed now though.

Fightingmydoctor · 20/07/2026 15:27

Day 9 for me, still no side effects and according to the scale, 5kgs down. Sounds impressive but i think a lot is water as i started out very fat (117kgs); i can lose 4kgs overnight on any diet i start, or due to period. I'll be impressed if i can lose more than 10kgs and it stays down....

That said its wonderful not to be obsessed with food and no blood sugar crashes!

snoopydoopydo · 20/07/2026 17:39

A week in and only 1lb down I'm a little disappointed, but understand that it's not going to be a quick fix. I've had some side effects; dry mouth, constipation and nausea but have felt better for the last couple of days, so hopefully my body has got used to the drug and the dose. I'm really enjoying the lack of food noise and, if I so think about food (outside of mealtimes) it's really easy to just bat the thought away.

Hi, I pick up my tablets tomorrow (am using Boots) so I’ll be starting on Wednesday. I was so happy to be approved. BMI 30, and like many my weight has gradually increased with menopause. I’ve tried strict calorie counting, increasing exercise but every year I’m getting bigger. I’m so glad that this thread is here and I’ve loved reading all your posts.

For anyone wondering about next month, my next delivery is 3 August and I asked Bolt what the process is. They will do a check in with me on 22 July (by questionnaire I assume) to find out weight loss, hunger levels etc. I think I’m going to ask to stay on 1.5 for one more month

Henowner · 20/07/2026 21:57

@Namechangewegovyjune26 I was wondering about that. I'm still on week 1 but I suppose by the end of week 2 I'll have a better idea as to whether I should be upping the dose or staying the same?

holymolybalamory · 20/07/2026 22:04

If you had a headache how long did it last for. I’m on day 3 and yesterday and today my head has been awful :(

thank you for answering my previous question

Mine had gone by day 7

In the week before my period I am usually absolutely ravenous and eat huge amounts of snack food. This time I just haven’t. It is a revelation. When Indo want to eat it is just healthy things.

In may be imagining it but I think I look thinner around the rib cage. Is it possible that visceral fat is disappearing first? Thighs etc still very much in evidence alas.

pinkdyno · 21/07/2026 08:52

Day one went surprisingly well for me. No snacking, three small meals. Avoided danger point of eating kids leftover tea.

didn’t sleep great but feel fine this morning so far.

IVFMammy · 21/07/2026 09:10

Day 8 and I’m 6lb down! So happy, I’m eating 3 meals a day and honestly I’m craving better food. Not wanting chocolate or my usual dinner wine at all. I’m a little constipated but nothing a bit magnesium can’t help.

barabuns · 21/07/2026 10:02

Can I join in? I started yesterday. I’ve got about 20kg to lose.. gah! So today is day 2.

I haven’t had the food noise reduction at all yet. Infact I thought about food all day. I didn’t eat it, but no switch has turned off in me yet.

Quite a few people I know have lost loads with MJ but I didn’t want to inject myself (no idea why, not scared at all just wasn’t my thing) and I feel like the only bigger person left now.

millym102 · 21/07/2026 10:06

I can't believe how positive I feel on this pill. Feel like change is possible. So so glad I started this journey. I've lost 4kg since my first registration weigh in on the 6th July. And it feels so easy. It's made me want to start running again, drink less, be better! Really glad I took the plunge.

I feel similar. Still think about food but I just don’t want to eat it. I think it’s pure habit from years of thinking about food! I don’t feel tortured by it now though. I think about food but then just don’t fancy eating it, and I’ll take that progress!

barabuns · 21/07/2026 10:23

@ThehumblesmidgeI could happily have eaten it! I was making a concerted effort to not! 😂

🤦🏼‍♀️ oh no! I’m sure it will improve the longer you’re on the pill 🤞🏻

FlorenceLyons · 21/07/2026 10:29

I’m on Day 4. Very little in the way of side effects. I had a headache for the first day or two, but it wasn’t particularly bad and it seems to have gone again now.

Not sure I’m really noticing the positive effects yet either, though! I’ve been snacking less, but I think that’s as much because I’m thinking I ought to be, rather than actually wanting to… I’ve been eating pretty much normal sized meals, but they have been fairly healthy, so maybe that’s why I haven’t had that ‘must stop eating now’ feeling?

Will see what the next few days bring.
