Anyone else waiting for this? I am, let’s start a thread to see how we all get on. I have two stone to lose. My DH said yesterday that ‘I am a bit plump’. Upset, though it’s true.

Im on day 3 - no effect on appetite sadly . Anyone else had it start to work at lowest dose but not immediately?

holymolybalamory · 18/07/2026 13:08

Day 1 - so far - still hungry. Chocolate tastes odd.

Thehumblesmidge · 18/07/2026 14:03

I’m on day 6 now and it’s genuinely difficult to eat much. Had no appetite for breakfast and lunch I couldn’t manage to finish a flatbread with tuna and salad. I bought the Voy multivitamin with my order to help with the loss of appetite and keep nutrients up. I feel so full from lunch. Yesterday we took a trip to the beach and I passed on an ice cream while my child had one. Unheard of! I’d normally be buying the largest one!

IfIHadAHeart · 18/07/2026 18:17

Day 8 today. Got weighed this morning and I’ve lost 4lbs. Probably water weight, although I haven’t eaten much this week really as my dad sadly passed away. I haven’t felt hungry, not sure if it’s the pill or stress and grief.

Hi - had my first tablet today. Felt a bit sick but nothing too bad. Main thing is I have slept all
day - went back to bed and it’s now 7pm. Anyone else had that?

No but even if I wanted to I couldn’t - kids 🤣

Day 6: I didn't really know that I had a lot of food noise until I didn't. I'm just sort of shrugging when I think about food, and have no problem turning down snacks and treats between meals. Unfortunately, I am quite constipated, despite upping my water and fibre intake. Also, mouth feels really dry, despite all the water.

Choirgirl699 · 18/07/2026 20:09

Sorry if it's been asked before but anyone moved from MJ jabs to this? I lost 3st with MJ and have been on and off for 8 months trying to maintain but I can't afford it and need to go above 5mg. Was thinking of trying this for maintenance.

I agree about shrugging off snacks. It’s a completely weird feeling. I would absolutely demolish chocolate and crisps. A handful or portion was never enough previously. This week I’ve just not been interested.

I'm on the other thread but noticed this one. Everyone's posts are very reassuring tbh and can't wait to get GP approval to start.

Im on day 7, I still have an appetite however, im now finding that I feel fuller quicker with less food. Just a subtle difference for me at the moment, didnt start to properly notice until day 5 id say

Just found this thread after having bought the pills on Med Express. They are £60 for the first months supply.

I have about 15kg to lose. I workout 4x a week, love healthy food etc.
But I just cannot stop eating sweet food (chocolate mainly) in the evenings.

Has anyone else ordered from Med Express, and how long did it take to get approved?

I'm so sorry to read this, unmumsnetty hugs and look after yourself.

This has been a revelation for me too! I didn’t realise how “tied” I was to food. Constant snacks and finishing my kids leftovers etc. never turning down a treat. Now I just seem to be able to ignore it all and stick to meals.

That’s so difficult for you, I’m sorry to hear this 😔 Look after yourself. It’s hard enough to keep up with drinking plenty and getting enough nourishment on any given day, let alone at a time like this.

I was absolutely the same and didn’t see it at all. I’ve never known what it feels like to turn down food and treats. It feels nice!

YourCleverSheep · 19/07/2026 15:41

I lost 5 stone a few years ago on my own but felt I needed help this time because I cant exercise as much as I previously did. I started to take losing weight seriously again when i came back from holiday on the 11th July, the photos! 😔 went on a fast for 2 days, only tea and started the tablet on the 15th, Im very pleased with my progress so far, lost a stone, I dont even want to look at cakes or prepackaged food, enjoy making my own nutritious meals, mostly vegetarian. Ive a few more to lose but taking it steady, congrats to everyone on this journey. I have a bolt discount code if anyone's interested, pm me,

Would you have a day off the pill if going out for dinner?

AprilFlowersMay · 19/07/2026 20:16

@holymolybalamory no. Went out for lunch yesterday. Had a lovely time. Ordered and ate less than I normally do; still really enjoyed food, company and occasion.

No. I still really enjoy my food, there's just less of it which is ideal

No, I went out for lunch today and ate more than I needed to. But didn't have breakfast and still feel full now so not having any dinner. But really enjoyed lunch.

Sundaynightterrors · 19/07/2026 20:55

So Day 1 for me has been okay. Felt very slightly nauseous this morning. I have definitely eaten less and haven’t had the sugar cravings that I’ve had recently. Hoping this is a positive start.

How often are people weighing themselves?

holymolybalamory · 19/07/2026 20:03

I’m just home from a meal out. I ate what I usually eat (main course, no starter or sides) but had a nice cocktail instead of a desert. I’m very full but enjoyed myself. I had no breakfast today and a light lunch. I don’t think it’s wise to come on and off it and tbh I don’t think one day off would make a difference. I’d rather stay consistent.

AprilFlowersMay · 20/07/2026 05:46

@Sundaynightterrors i was weighing every day (except when away for work) but I think twice a week might be healthier for me so going to try that next.

SparkleforChristmas · 20/07/2026 08:16

I won't be weighing every couple of days expecting miracles (not least because batteries just died on my scales, after my last weigh). Once a week for me. Same time, same outfit...you get the drill.
Started yesterday, very slight nausea but I definitely felt much more full than usual, so much so had trouble sleeping.
Im 5ft 7 and started at 17st 3lbs 😩
