I got an online script but instead of saying six months as usual it is only good for one month . So do you have to pay for a private script each time . If so I will go to GP. But I know that if I had to wait for an appointment I would not have gone .

Hello, please can I join you lovely peeps? I actually started in May but too late to join the May thread. I’m three weeks in and I’ve lost four pounds. I’m avoiding a weight goal as I don’t want to get obsessed with the number on the scale (again) so my goal is for my wedding and engagement rings to fit comfortably.

LoSlo3toGo · 11/06/2026 12:56

Hi @WoIsMe! Good goal

mine is 25% body fat

Hi @WoIsMe , v welcome. How have your first 3 weeks been?

It’s been a complete eye opener with the food noise gone. I’m still hungry and enjoying food but the addictive side of it - anticipating when I will next eat, the constant drive to eat, the frisson of unease at the end of the day when there’s no more food for the day - all gone. I actually think I’m enjoying food more without that internal obsession. I really hope I’ll be able to build a better relationship with food going forwards. I haven’t had much symptoms apart from a bit of nausea but I’ve been eating regularly. I’m going to stick on the lowest dose for now as I’m worried about losing my appetite and I don’t want to lose weight too quickly and end up looking sickly.

This is great @WoIsMe and yes, if it's this effective at a low dose why change for now?
I think this was more like me last week (week one) but the effect seems to have worn off since 2nd jab - hunger and food noise back. I also had a bad headache on Mon and a more low lying one today. I am combining W with a resumption of intermittent fasting which I did well 5 years ago and lost 3st. Have since put it all back on (hence WLIs) but needing some extra support - just seem to have lost the energy to do it and perhaps my body is proving more resistant now I'm peri-menopausal. I'm hoping with IM this time it's like learning to ride a bike again but WLIs are like my stabilisers - just giving enough support to enable me to do it myself! 😁
But, I did have non-fast days on Sat & Sun and again yesterday, so wonder if they correlate with my headaches?? Anyone heard that people feel more rough when they eat with W/WLIs then when they don't?
Hoping moving forward of more of last week then this week! 😊

Astravanga · 11/06/2026 17:18

@WoIsMe that's so interesting to read.

I have been second-guessing myself the last couple of days as I have felt so "normal"... Not sure what I expected on WLIs, maybe floating above on a cloud? 😂 I am getting hungry, really enjoying food, but just eating a lot less than I normally would and not madly craving things constantly? It's odd as it's not a magical state it's just feeling normal.

Over halfway through my first week as started on Monday and now it's the end of Thursday. Quite excited for my second jab if I'm honest!

Umarshariffi · 11/06/2026 17:54

Hi all
just to update on constipation, small movement last night and this afternoon , recommended cosmocol which I have ordered as don’t want this unpleasant and only side effect to halt my progress.
increased my water and fibre intake as well.

Sanch1 · 11/06/2026 18:55

@pickle75and others, app is being difficult!

I am feeling like this, like I should be feeling something but I’m not!

Im not feeling super full and am getting hungry for meals but I don’t think I am really thinking about food much so maybe it is cutting out the noise? I’ve not been on MyFitnessPal 25 times a day, not really thought about what and when I’ll be eating next, not stolen the kids chips etc

Be interested to see how the weekend goes with a bbq and other temptations where I normally
blow it!

WoIsMe · 11/06/2026 21:45

@pickle75apparently there’s an adaptive process to the medication so you do need to move up doses over time but I would rather stay on the lowest possible. I don’t want to be taking medications for life so it’s really important for me to break my old habits and build new healthy habits around food.

How much fasting are you doing? I thought it was recommended to eat more frequently so I haven’t been fasting for the past three weeks.

I am definitely eating better @Astravangabut I don’t feel that different. My husband made a load of snacks this evening as we were watching a movie and I ate a lot less than I usually would. Was it Dr Judson Brewer who said hunger is a shout but fullness is a whisper? I think I know what he means; I don’t feel too stuffed to eat any more but rather that I’ve lost interest in eating any more. It’s a new and very different feeling for me.

LoSlo3toGo · 12/06/2026 00:48

@wols:interesting to read your experience, I’m hoping to stay on a low dose as long as it’s effective too.

I found last week the effect was a bit less the last day or two before my jab (mainly - more urge to snack). But if that’s 1 day out of 7 I don’t think it’s a massive concern. I also wonder if not using the ‘sledgehammer’ approach with really high doses will make it easier to maintain on a low dose long term - time will tell!

One weird thing I’ve noticed is that I don’t crave chocolate any more. I assume that means it was dopamine-driven. If anyone is a smoker then maybe now is a good time to give up!

somethingischasingme · 12/06/2026 08:10

Morning all. Yesterday I felt hungry but then was completely full after a yogurt! I sipped water all day and had scrambled eggs and a salad later on at home. It’s completely unlike me- it’s not like dieting where I’m so aware I’m not eating, I had to really plan eating something when the family were eating otherwise I don’t think I would have bothered. I have a headache this morning but not too bad. Hope everyone is ok.

JoyousAsOtters · 12/06/2026 09:16

Morning! Can I join? Currently awaiting DPD delivery of first wegovy dose this morning.

Both wine & chocolate here - I’ve had a little (and I’m more interested in the days coming up to the next jab)… this is definitely doing something to my dopamine

Good morning, day two for me. No side effects so far apart from a headache yesterday but that could've just been a headache.
Had 3 meals yesterday but no desire to snack, which is usually very mindless snacking for me. I didn't even think about grabbing a sweet or cake which are always lying about at work.
The one thing I did find strange was when I got home I didn't really know what to do with myself. I'd usually grab a drink, a packet of crisps, maybe some other snack and sit for an hour waiting for everyone to get home but I was a bit lost as to what to do instead as I didn't want to eat. I'm hoping the weather improves and I can use that time to get outside.
I've just had some fruit and half a protein yoghurt and I'm full.
Only on day two but long may this continue.
Also heard on the news yesterday that wegovy has been approved for pill form on private prescription and you can change over immediately. The injection doesn't bother me so I'll just wait and see what my supplier offers next time.

pickle75 · 12/06/2026 10:23

Morning all, feeling very flat this morning so sorry to put a downer on the many positive messages. Didn't feel great yesterday and woken feeling the same but also less energy today - low lying headache and a general "mweh" feeling. Also weighed myself and have actually put on 2 lbs. The logical part of me knows that my initial 6 lbs loss last week was far too good to be true and still this means a 4 lbs loss over 2 weeks and that is actually pretty good and more realistic. However, the emotional/tired/flat part of me feels this is already a backward step and finding it hard to stop my brain over-thinking with "perhaps W is not for me. My joy last week was beginner's luck. Next week, I will feel rougher". I know today is a day to "dig deep" and there will be set backs and I need to be resilient. But my inner toddler wants to have a tantrum! 😂

WoIsMe · 12/06/2026 11:04

Welcome @JoyousAsOtters are you nervous about your first injection? I’m not great with needles so I used a numbing cream (like children have for blood draws) for the first couple of injections until I got used to doing it.

Sorry to hear you’re not feeling great @pickle75 I had some tiredness when I first started but it passed after a couple of weeks. I also had a big drop on the scales at first and then my weight jumped up again but it has continued downwards since then so please don’t let it get you down. Weight can fluctuate by up to 6lb due to water retention so the scales are never an accurate representation of how much fat you’ve lost. You could try measuring your waist and hips as well because they should keep getting smaller over time, even if your weight loss isn’t showing on the scales. I don’t look any slimmer but I’ve definitely noticed I keep hoiking my jeans up today! I’ve seen a couple of content creators talking about “squishy fat,” saying that your tummy goes squishier just before you see a loss on the scales so keep an eye out for that!

Anyone starting Wegovy in June ?
pickle75 · 12/06/2026 12:24

Thanks @WoIsMe for sharing because your comments are helping to give me hope that I'm experiencing temporary blips. I wish I wasn't so hard-wired into only seeing diet success via scales/weight. You're right that I need to do measuring too. Though I have to say my tummy feels permanently like "squishy fat" 🤣 but will keep an eye for further squishiness! 😊

blibblibs · 12/06/2026 13:10

@pickle75 I find an item of clothing that I've missed wearing and occasionally try it on to gauge progress without relying on the scales.
This is the first time dieting where I don't have a number goal instead it's a wardrobe full of clothes goal 😁

Sanch1 · 12/06/2026 13:36

@pickle75i am the same as you, very focussed on the number on the scales.

Try not to be disheartened with the gain, it may just be a blip and concentrate of feeling better and healthier!

Lexy2345 · 12/06/2026 15:45

I’m starting on Monday, it arrived today. Is it best to jab in the evening or first thing?

Astravanga · 12/06/2026 16:01

@Lexy2345 I did mine in the middle of the day as soon as it arrived haha! Lots seem to do it at night so they sleep through any possible side effects. Your choice really I suppose! Excited for you.

@blibblibs I love your goal of a wardrobe full of clothes. Gosh I can't wait for clothes that I enjoy wearing and feel good in x

Lexy2345 · 12/06/2026 16:22

I’m looking forward to wearing lovely clothes too, I have so many gorgeous dresses that I want to wear. I’m utterly fed up with being overweight and I don’t want to accept that it’s inevitable now that I’m older.
I’m delighted to have found this thread 💕
