Well, 2 week update here : I got on the scales expecting another big loss & nothing since last week .. I was shocked as I’ve been eating less, but shows I need to be patient and expect fluctuations

As I’m getting appetite blunting on 0.25 I’m considering station this dose next month too .. 3rd jab is tonight so I will see how I get on over the next week or so

I’m managing to ‘keep things moving’ with more water & fibre supplements (fybogel) so upping my fruit, salads & other fibre sources is priority for next few days and then I will weigh again in a couple of days

Definitely less interested in wine, crisps & chocolate so hoping this continues

Morning all, very interesting reading all the posts. I took my second Wegovy jab Sunday night. Overall very little/no side effects. I did have a headache at the weekend but also my daughter and partner had during the week so not sure if it was a cold/virus thing. First week, seemed to have an indescribable effect on hunger - think i thought about food less, got fuller slightly quicker. Did lose 6lbs but clearly water etc, often the way with first weeks etc

Since 2nd jab I can't say I can feel any effects at all. Like others have mentioned, makes me wonder even more that perhaps first week's success was a type of placebo maybe?!? I mean, if it works I don't care how and over the moon to lose 6lbs already (though feeling doubtful there will be any shift on scales this week to compensate).
But, I also thought I would say, the overall impact of having made a proactive decision to take WLIs has just been a great boost for my morale and confidence. I say this for people commenting that they are nervous or still undecided - this was me since at least last Aug. Should I? Shouldn't I? Can I afford it? Can i actually do the injections (given life long hatred of needles)? Don't want to lose all enjoyment from food? Is it going to effect relationships etc etc However, so much of that fell away the second I hit order. Already I feel more in control and I feel very confident this is going to work. Now, I am literally only week 2 so who knows how I will get on but I know for me, so much about dieting/weight loss is about getting into the right head space and if signing up allows only that then perhaps that's enough to get me started. Everyone is different and we all have our own pros & cons but I thought I would share my experience in case it helps anyone else. I have already found these forums to be so helpful - I don't know anyone else on WLIs.

@LoSlo3toGo it's reassuring to read you are having the same experience as I thought I was imagining it!

@somethingischasingme just go for it! I decided I had nothing to lose by trying. Don't like jabs - couldn't even feel it go in. Don't like feeling sick - barely a whisper. Most of all don't like ever feeling hungry - like I said a couple of posts ago I've been having a rumbly stomach but none of the emotionally strain of being hungry! Give it a go and if it's not for you, you don't have to continue. X

It's two days after my first jab and I certainly feel a bit different but can't quantify how exactly.

Like a pp I have been wondering if it's placebo. I have definitely been eating a lot less than normal, however I have also been feeling hungry in the "rumbly tummy" feeling. But not the mental agonising about wanting food, if that makes sense. It's certainly a different type of hunger, purely in my tummy and not like cravings. Weird!

Yes! I also feel different but can't say how. Only that usually by mid-morning I usually feel like I could eat a massive bag of crisps quite happily and today I definitely don't. I do feel hungry enough to be thinking about lunch now but it feels like purely physical hunger rather than emotional pull

blibblibs · 10/06/2026 13:43

I've just been and collected my prescription and until I'd just read all your comments I wasn't sure if I was going to even use it! But I'll be more annoyed with myself if I don't even try it, so I'll jab this evening when I have the house to myself.

LoSlo3toGo · 10/06/2026 14:22

@blibblibsI was pondering this for over a YEAR… wish I’d started back then now

Its early days but I’m finally confident that I will lose some weight- and with less emotional struggle and without it taking over my whole life!

Ive lost decent chunks of weight before several times (going from a size 18 to 14 in a couple of months) but it’s basically a full time job each time and I haven’t got the energy for that anymore! This is making it so much less of a struggle

I've been on jabs for a while but starting again now and for the rumbly tummy thing I have found apples, or glucommanan capsules helpful. the fibre is filling.

Mumathome1 · 10/06/2026 16:12

Hello! Can I join? I am still on the fence but it's because I'm so afraid of side effects in years to come like that it causes cancer of something we don't know about yet. My BMI is 29 so I was just going to buy it as I'm not sure the doctor would prescribe it to me. I've just started HRT patches in the last 2 weeks so I don't know if that affects weightless injections or not. I'm just still up in the air but I'm miserable about my weight. I've lost 2 stone and gained it again 3 different times in the last 6 years. I just can't do it anymore. I'm worried that it won't work or that it will make me really sick. This groups is so useful. Thank you.

TheDogsMother · 10/06/2026 16:16

I initially joined the May group but I actually did my first jab on 1st June (0.25 ordered with Voy if anyone needs a code). I think there may have been more of a placebo effect on week one though I did feel quite tired for a couple of days. This is a bit worrying because I have quite a full on sponsored walk at the weekend. Being a bit more mindful about it I realised I was actually full halfway through my lunch. Previously I may have finished it anyway but I took notice of the signals and stopped.

My weight has crept on post menopause then hysterectomy and I just do not feel like me so I am really hoping this works.

I’ve just taken my first injection. Here we go!! I’m logging my weight on my app now and placebo affect- I am immediately not hungry. But I’m just relieved it’s done.

Umarshariffi · 10/06/2026 18:06

Joining as first injection Saturday morning, cramps in the evening then large bowel movement Sunday night, now constipated and bloated.
already eat plenty of fibre and good water intake, started continuous progesterone 6 weeks ago and that has reduced ‘bloat’ to nothing so deflated really and may not continue .
Taken prunes yesterday and this morning, hoping it resolves otherwise will try laxido

Nofeckingway · 10/06/2026 18:43

I just got my prescription today . Scared but excited. Not happy at injecting or the fact that despite seeing nutritionist I have lacked the motivation to do this . Going to gym lifting weights . My issue is that I seem to have uncontrollable sweet cravings . I have a lot of other things health wise too but being obese for my height probably has a big impact. Don't know if I will keep it secret but then again I hate the idea of people asking me anything. Looking forward to it I think . Wondering if I should start tonight ? And do you need to do it the same day every week ? Anyone know if day or night make a difference.

Who is everyone using for their first supply? Are there any discounts?

I have a Voy code if you’d like it.

blibblibs · 10/06/2026 20:14

So I've done it, first injection done. All thanks to you all, I'm not sure I would've gone for it, likely just let the pen go out of date!
I ordered mine through Boots, mainly so I could collect but NEW20 discount code worked and I got the pen for £63 and advantage points.

Astravanga · 10/06/2026 21:03

That's amazing @blibblibs nothing to lose by trying, that's my attitude! Well done!

@StarCourt I went with Bolt Pharmacy on recommendation from a relative and have a discount link I think. It was £69 this time and £99 after that.

Sanch1 · 10/06/2026 21:13

Welcome to everyone just joined!

Will be good to share experiences with those at the same point in the journey.

24 hours since my first jab. No bad side effects so that’s good but can’t say I feel any different. I have tracked my food and ‘been good’ but generally would be in the first day of a ‘new start.’ Haven’t felt full, eaten my normal size dinner. See what tomorrow brings I guess.

chunksmunks · 10/06/2026 21:29

Hi I did my first injection last Thursday. No side effects and no real changes. I have been eating less but possibly placebo. Weigh in tomorrow. I can’t wait for the injection to kick in a bit as previously on diets i have to think constantly about food and tracking and not eating and manage to lose but then gain again. I don’t have the mental energy to constantly be thinking about food.

LoSlo3toGo · 10/06/2026 22:36

It’s busy tonight on this thread! Hi @Nofeckingway, @Umarshariffi& @StarCourt

Just about to do Jab no 3 & head to bed

Was meant to go out for a meal with the family tonight but as I was tired we got a takeaway - Middle Eastern food so bread, hummus, fried pastry 😬… definitely ate less than without these jabs but I think a more concerted effort at eating clean would help me :)

Interesting to see where everyone is buying from & prices, part of the decision to do Wegovy is that it’s definitely cheaper vs MJ.

Happy to have any codes PM’ed - I’ve used med express & bolt so far

I am not in UK so a bit more expensive. But not worth trying to get it shipped . I opened the box with great excitement but I had to go through two huge instruction manuals in every language but of course the English version was in the third and last manual . So done now . Be interesting to see where this takes me .

It’s recommended to jab at the same time every week - and I would try hard to do so, as then you can work out how long it takes to be effective/wear off etc

But if you miss a dose or forget etc you can jab another day as long as it’s at least 3 days before the next one (this is covered in the leaflets)

I’ve been doing bedtime so far as then I can just go to sleep - no headaches/nausea or anything so far

I’ve realised I need to drink lots more water than usual & also up my fibre - for me the effect of making me feel full a lot quicker is definitely because it’s slowing my stomach from emptying quite a lot vs normal.

Today my portion sizes were about 3/4 of my normal (vs half at the weekend) - I could have eaten more but didn’t want to. This is definitely still building up so I’m interested to see how the next week goes :)

After a big loss in week 1, nothing this week (when I also didn’t eat especially well), I’m going to see if eating better gets me better results this week !

What happens with the shopping around?

Do you have to go through the whole same process with being approved etc each time?

I can re order in a few days so am interested to see how much they want after the initial offer!

LoSlo3toGo · 11/06/2026 07:46

Hi @Sanch1- I read on here to take a photo of the medicine label for the next reorder

They wanted that, & photos of me to order with a new company… I have a way to go so don’t think this is going to be an issue, plus it seems that shopping around saves quite a bit so prepared to do it
