How is everyone getting on?

Still all fine here & no side effects and food noise very much gone … this time last week I was starting to feel hungrier (jab day is today) but it hasn’t been the case so much now (I think it’s the drug building up in my system)

Hi, my initial Wegovy order arrived this week and planning on starting today. Feeling weirdly nervous, can anyone give me some reassurance? I don't ever usually get nauseous or motion sickness or anything so I feel quite nervous about getting symptoms that I can't control. What have everyone's first few days been like on Wegovy? Thanks xx

I took mine last night and feel absolutely fine. I made a protein shake and have been sipping it but still have loads left, don’t feel particularly hungry (but I’m not really a breakfast person anyway).

I’ve had a headache today but that started before I took the jab. I keep looking for symptons but nothing so far.

Sanch1 · 09/06/2026 11:14

I am starting tonight.

I am nervous too @chestnut9 . Combination of worrying about side effects, although like you I dont tend to have tummy issues so fingers crossed I'll be fine, but also that it wont work and I wont feel the effects I am hoping for. Have pinned my hopes on this being transformative and worry it wont be!

Ah that's great to hear thanks!

Yeah me too. I also have been vaping too much and really hoping the meds remove some of the desire for nicotine...

Hi I started yesterday afternoon, I've had a little bit of a headache so i took some painkillers it's sorted it out, got a little nauseous this morning at work little nursery kids pumping didn't help so I was gagging 😂 but once I've eaten some breakfast I'm ok to go.

I totally get this. I said to DH last night that I was scared and he seemed surprised and asked why- I told him I’m scared in the side effects but also that it won’t work and I’ll continue to spiral.

I started last week, took second dose last night. No impact whatsoever on my appetite! Funny how it impacts us differently. But disappointed really but I’ll keep going. One negative side effect is I am constipated. I’m drinking a ton of water and adding chia seeds to yoghurt, eating kiwis. Will try and go to Tesco later for prune juice (if they stock it). I feel like I def won’t lost any weight being constipated as all the food is sitting in my stomach/bowel!

It might … I’ve noticed I’m really not very interested in wine anymore…

Ps one thing I find confusing is why you have to put the pen in the fridge to begin with but then it says you don’t have to store it in the fridge after that? What is everyone doing? Mine is hidden behind a jar of stem ginger (rarely touched unless we’re making a ginger cake!) as don’t want the kids to find it. Would be easier to store elsewhere really.

Not just me then … solidarity @Plinketyplonks

I usually have a v fast digestion so this is a new experience for me! I’m not uncomfortable but just aware I haven’t been for a day or two

I took a fibogel this morning & planning some kiwi & melon tonight. It’s strange as I do eat a lot of fibre but I think the reason is the slowing of digestion

I already consume lots of fibre (chia & fruit with my yogurt today, a salad later & beans tonight) but can see I’m going to need to drink a lot of water & maybe investigate some other ways to ‘keep things moving along’

Yes I’m the same, eat lots of fibre normally and drink lots of water. So annoying! And painful when I did eventually go (sorry TMI). If it doesn’t improve with prune juice I’ll go to boots and see what they have. If it’s a long term side effect it would put me off continuing with wegovy.

@Plinketyplonks: I think it’s because of the good sitting in the GI tract, I plan to try ducolax to keep things comfortable!

I did the first jab on Sunday. Was marginally less hungry yesterday but today feel just as hungry as always 😔
Slight nausea in the mornings but otherwise no side effects

LoSlo3toGo · 09/06/2026 20:14

@Frieda86: good to hear it’s (mostly) going well

I think it takes a bit of time to build up in the body - I could barely eat on Sat so 2 full days after my jab, and it builds up over the weeks too

How are you feeling today?! I did my first jab at 12 noon yesterday, haven't felt hungry since I did it (am trying to eat small healthy meals but haven't felt massively wanted to). Hard to tell if it's placebo/psychological from nerves?! Anyway no side effects so far....

@Frieda86: it was subtle but I felt a bit less hungry from next day and got full quicker esp 2-3 days after my jab, when I got full after half my normal meal size

No different really! No side effects so that's good, but dont feel anything else if you see what I mean?! Ate a small breakfast but didnt feel full or anything like I couldnt eat it. Then again I got up and 630 and only just ate and tummy wasnt rumbling so who knows ha ha

Astravanga · 10/06/2026 09:47

It's two days after my first jab and I certainly feel a bit different but can't quantify how exactly.

Like a pp I have been wondering if it's placebo. I have definitely been eating a lot less than normal, however I have also been feeling hungry in the "rumbly tummy" feeling. But not the mental agonising about wanting food, if that makes sense. It's certainly a different type of hunger, purely in my tummy and not like cravings. Weird!

somethingischasingme · 10/06/2026 09:55

It’s so good being on this thread and reading all your experiences. I’m going to start after work today. It’s ridiculous- I don’t know why I’m so scared of it!!!

@astravanga- this is how I feel exactly

My body/stomach get hungry, but I am not feeling the strong mental & emotional pull towards food that was behind my weight gain
