@sfraxxsorry to hear you are feeling under the weather, never what anyone wants on a bank holiday weekend. A birthday day out is something to look forward to though!

We have had family over for Sunday lunch today, I like that we have always eaten ‘family style’ so that saves FIL ‘are you not having X’ comments 🙄.
We are off to the hilliest zoo tomorrow, that’s my workout sorted. Local holiday on Thursday for elections too so taking DD to one of these inflatable parks as DH is working and wouldn’t thank us for that sort of activity.

@sfraxx it is Edinburgh we are heading to now, our closest zoo but opposite side of the country. Forecast looks decent so hopefully to good old Scottish weather plays ball!

Worth the clamber to the top of the hill. My watch assures me we did over 19,000 steps so I feel less guilty about the ice cream 🙈.

August 25 Starters - Thread 3
Wellfuckme · 05/05/2026 06:40

19,000 steps - wow.

Jab day again for me today.
SW 18st 8lb
CW 13st 1lb
10mg pen

3lb loss this week which I am made up for. Only 2 weeks before my holiday and am actually taking a couple of dresses away with me. Haven't really worn dresses for the best part of 25yrs.

I'm most looking forward to getting on the plane without worrying about the seat belt and if I would need an extender. Ive never had to ask for one but the fear was always there.

I would love to be in the 12st bracket before I go away but as I'm not taking a pen with me, I'm fully expecting to put weight back on and don't know how I will feel when I see 13st something again. Im going to be as sensible as possible and there will be lots of food choices available but I don't want to feel like I am missing out either. What will be, will be.

Wellfuckme · 05/05/2026 07:04

Ive just checked my bmi and I'm almost out of the obese category. Says my ideal weight for my height is 8st to 10st 10lb. So I've still got another 3st to go.

SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 05/05/2026 10:42

Well done @Wellfuckme, it’s exciting seeing those numbers change but you can’t beat yourself up over potential holiday gains as that’s a short lived blip for a lifetime of memories.

SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 05/05/2026 10:47

2.5 lbs off this week but having gained 1.5 then stayed the same it’s one 1 lb in real terms.

SW 222 lbs
CW 164 lbs
GW 147 lbs but that could change

LaGioiosanotLeviosa · 07/05/2026 14:47

Stayed the same this week. I’m a bit unsure as to what to do really.
In general at this point you would drop more calories but I don’t really think that’s a good idea for the long run as I don’t want to mess up my metabolism for coming off.
1200 a day at 5’8” shouldn’t be too bad but I guess it’s something to think about?
Or is this a plateau? Not had one yet in this journey so am I due one!
Must keep on drinking all the water!

I am on 1300 to 1400 calories and have been since the start. I have a plateau all of January but I stuck to my calories, focused on water and exercise and came through it. I am now a stone lighter but also aware it will slow down as I approach target.

Yeah I’m inclined to try and keep going with my current kcals and hope my body sorts itself out!
Need to up water as that’s not been as good recently!

sfraxx · 10/05/2026 11:45

Good morning,

well we have all been floored with the flu for a week now, still hanging on us all a bit, especially my husband but we must go on lol.

I have lost 0.9lbs this week, which I’m happy with considering it being my son’s birthday and having a few slices of cake lol.
last jab day tomorrow, I know I’m going to need to come off at some point but I just don’t feel ready yet. I know I want to have a break when on holiday as I absolutely cannot even have a cocktail on MJ without vomiting. So would like to enjoy my AI.

I may order a new pen and not open or use it until I’m home from my holiday lol, of course I’d start back off on 2.5mg again. Has anyone ever done that? I think I’m more worrying that I stop after next week and just start gaining like mad🥹

SW before MJ - 13st11.9lbs

xx

Wellfuckme · 12/05/2026 07:18

Jab day again today. Ive stayed the same which is a little disappointing but at least its not a gain.

SW 18st 8lb
CW 13st 1lb
10mg

Going to jab Monday night next week as we are leaving very early on tuesday morning for our holiday. I'm not sure If I should do 10mg or use the golden dose out of 7.5mg pen. Im not taking a pen with me and will be missing a dose on the 2nd week.

Going to drink more water this week to see if that will shift another lb or 2.

twilightcafe · 12/05/2026 14:20

In the 16st band at long last ! 🍾
One pound off the three stone lost mark.

I've got one 5mg pen left to get through, then I'm going to move to 7.5mg.

SW 19st 11
CW 16st 12
GW: 12st

NeedSleepNow · 12/05/2026 20:49

SW : 15st
CW : 10st 8lb
GW: 10st 7lb

Only 1 pound to go until I get to my goal weight!

It should be jab day today but my order has not turned up at my local asda pharmacy so I'll have to delay it a few days until it turns up. I was asked to upload photos this month (this is the first time I've had to do this othets than for my first order) to verify my bmi. I did that and it was all approved so I'm not sure why it hasn't been shipped. I'm just hoping I don't have to wait too long as I've felt very hungry today!

I was on 10mg last month but have ordered 7.5mg this month as I felt very sick most of the time on 10mg. Hoping I'll feel much better on 7.5 and then I'm planning to gradually reduce my dose down further for maintenance.

AsteriaBuffy · 13/05/2026 12:19

Hi all!
Not much to update, jabbed 8.75g this morning, having put on half a pound over the last week. grr.

Am putting this down to the fact that my dose last week was only 6.5mg (instead of 8.75) as I mucked up the golden dose and wasted some (hate using syringes!).

Was hoping it wouldn't make much difference but did feel a bit hungrier than usual. Didn't do much exercise last week though so that prob didn't help.

Heard on the news this morning that a new maintenance pill is now developed for Wegovy and MJ users which is much cheaper than jabs. They were saying that like blood pressure drugs, GLP drugs should be viewed as treatment for obesity long term and this is sustainable as the pills will be much cheaper when widely available. Not sure when they will be but sounded like they were on the way.

LaGioiosanotLeviosa · 14/05/2026 17:37

1lb loss this week which is a relief as stayed the same last week.
weightloss has slowed down rather abruptly!
still got 5lb to target (well I would like more but at this rate not sure it will happen!).
Really wanted to get to target in a year like another pp said but will have to see.

Two of my size 16 jeans are falling off but the size 16 M&S jegging just starts to fit.

I have a outdoor jacket which I bought 12 years ago, size XL, it‘s still too small.

Clothes sizes are ridiculous.

Between the ridiculous discrepancies in sizing and the lack of availability in actual shops it’s a royal pain in the backside shopping for new clothes.

LnicMJ · 15/05/2026 20:10

Hi all, I put 1.75lbs on this Monday but its my birthday week and for the first time in decades im in the 9st bracket so that's something to celebrate! Im currently 9st 12.5 but have been up and down as low as 9st 9.75lbs over last 5 weeks but I've decreased dose.
In all honesty I thought I was at my target weight but still after losing over 3st I look down and still feel fat! Crazy how the mind works! I think I'd like to lose another half a stone but will do that gradually now with more of a focus on weight training but if it starts creeping up too much when I come off I will go back on and do maintenance levels until these miracle tablets become available lol....
Well done everyone, some great results coming through! Have a good weekend all xx

sfraxx · 15/05/2026 22:20

Hello,

I weighed 2 days earlier this week.
I lost 0.7lbs this week so hit the second target. I’m not making another target as I’m happy here but I’ve decided not to have any more pens. I am still going to try and watch my eating for the next 2 weeks before I go on holiday. I hope I can manage when the hunger is back lol!

I will still do weekly weighs and update here, and will let you all know how life is without having MJ. If I come home from holiday and struggle I will be enquiring into a maintenance dose.

SW before MJ - 13st11lbs
SW with MJ - 12st3lbs
CW - 8st11.6lbs
TW - 8st11.9lbs

5st0.3lbs loss overall. I can’t believe it. If someone told me this time last year I’d have lost 5 stone all in I’d never have believed them lol!

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend xx

Thank you! I honestly can’t believe I’m actually at goal.
i have struggled with years of being obese, having pcos, being short I always thought I was just destined to be this way forever.
thank goodness for MJ!!!

and we will all be at goal soon enough🩷🩷🩷
