Well i would use BMI as a starting point at least. Within that there’s quite a range depending on shape etc. I am definitely in the right zone at BMI of 23.5 but have quite a belly and definitely flabby thighs! I compare myself to other women my age, some of whom are naturally slim and they are much flatter of stomach. But I think this is nevertheless the right weight for me. I think you should do what makes sense for you, it’s partly preference, partly health, but if you are within BMI range I’d at least listen to that! What are your blood tests saying (if you’ve done them) that’s helped me see what’s right for me.

Thanks @NicolaMarlowsMerlin, I am just edging into a healthy BMI at 25 so will try to gauge how I feel as it drops a little bit more. I haven’t had blood tests in over a year, perhaps that’s something I should have been doing.

I am just back from ten days in Spain and this is possibly the first holiday ever I haven’t gained a single pound. We were room only as we were visiting Seville, Ronda and Malaga and wanted to try various restaurants etc so I jabbed 7.5 the day before we left but didn’t take a pen with me. I am starting to find a rhythm with foods I want to eat, portions and stopping when I am satisfied for fear of feeling bloated etc.
