Hi all! Haven't posted for a while so just catching up.
Interesting to see how people are doing with some reducing / coming off MJ.
Hope your husband is on the mend @Blowingrasberries
@Jean74 that's great to hear about your experience with Ozempic, it's certainly more affordable.
I went up from 8.75 to 10mg MJ about 3 weeks ago - it's funny how you forget about side effects until you go up a dose. I still get the crushing afternoon tiredness, feeling cold and thirsty whenever I go up. So I guess for me it's a balance between not going up too much / too often and keeping the dose enough so I'm still losing consistently.
Losses are still slow, about a pound a week when I go up a dose, but generally it averages out to 0.7lbs a week over time. At least it's consistent. However I'm getting very close to 12 stone now (SW 14 stone 7) which is great as it's my 'normal' weight so I feel much more like myself, and the belly is (mostly) gone!
Nearly a year since we started, wow. I'd like to lose another stone, which means another 3 or 4 months.
Has anyone thought about transitioning to pills at some point? Apparently they have been approved for private prescription but don't seem to be available yet. I would imagine they'd be cheaper. A lot of the talk around GLPs seems to be that they are designed for long term use in the same way as blood pressure or diabetic medicine is.
