Hi there
did you decide on mounjaro or wegovy? Im considering trying wegovy.
bow much do you want to lose?

Behealthy2026 · 01/03/2026 15:10

I'm going for mounjaro but don't ask me why.. haha. I've been thinking about it since January. There was a good price on bolt.

i haven't even weighted myself yet .. but at a guess around 4 stones to lose .. I've got a long way.

I’ve just been approved. I’m a little bit nervous as to what to expect

Wegome26 · 01/03/2026 18:14

@Usernameismyname01 for which one mj or wevovy?
I can’t decide what to do. I’ve posted another thread on this. I tried mj once in 2024 had super intense suppression. I could barely eat a thing of actually was awful and I had back and muscle pains.
so I wondered whether I should go with wevovy plus it’s cheaper. But maybe I should have persevered with mj! And potentially tried half a dose.

Pigriver · 01/03/2026 18:19

I've just signed up for wegovy mainly as it's cheaper and I don't have too much to lose. I used mounjaro when it first came out and the suppression was intense and I lost quickly. I have gained about half back most in the last 6 months as I found myself slipping back into bad habits. Managed 18 months with minimal regain. Injury and work stress reduced gym frequency plus fell back into snacking saw the weight come creeping back.
I'm interested to see how wegovy compares to mounjaro.

Usernameismyname01 · 01/03/2026 18:29

I’m starting on MJ. I just don’t know what to expect really. When best to start the injections (thinking Friday evening) what sort of meals to plan for the following week - small breakfast, lunch, dinner? I’ve heard some say they just want 1 meal a day!? But I must keep up my protein intake, so 3 meals a day seems correct but will I want them?

helloworld88 · 01/03/2026 18:36

I’ve just done my first dose of mj! I’ve got over 5 stone to lose really

Let us know how you feel over the next few days, what you are eating etc

good luck 🤞

PamelaShipman80 · 01/03/2026 19:15

I’m doing my first dose tomorrow evening! I have around 3st to lose, although I’ll know exactly after the weigh in tomorrow morning! I went with mounjaro, mainly because people tend to have brilliant results, and I found a good discount!! Good luck with it everyone, how great would it feel to be slimmer for summer!

helloworld88 · 01/03/2026 19:52

Yes very exciting, I hadn’t thought of that ☀️

HolyMoly24 · 01/03/2026 20:06

I have my first dose of MJ coming tomorrow. Think I’m just going to do it as soon as it’s delivered so that I don’t overthink it and psych myself out.

I’m going to weigh in the morning but I think I have about 5.5 stone to lose which just seems like so much.

Feeling nervous but so motivated!

helloworld88 · 01/03/2026 20:30

Yes I thought exactly the same and just did it without thinking too much into it and chickening out

has anyone told people about it? My mum (who’s on it for diabetes), my DH and 1 friend know so far but might leave it at that for now

AEGetAJob · 01/03/2026 22:29

Hi all, I started last September, had good results, but for various reasons stopped after 6 weeks nowhere near my target. I am starting again this week. So I am not 100% new but hope you dont mind if I join here 🙌

HolyMoly24 · 01/03/2026 23:30

@helloworld88 I’m only telling my partner at the moment. If I end up losing a significant amount of weight and people start to ask then I won’t lie.

I’m not ashamed or anything it’s more I can’t be bothered to listen to everyone’s opinions about WLI’s.

DramaDivaDi · 02/03/2026 09:08

Literally just taken my first dose! 3.5 stone to lose. Excited!

SparklyTwinkleGlitter · 02/03/2026 10:36

Good luck everyone! 🤞

I remember feeling daunted at the beginning with over 5 stones to lose but I’m 3 stone down in 6 months and happy to lose slow and steady.

Remember to drink lots of fluids and eat a little bit and regularly rather than starve yourself. Also, be wary of fatty foods and spicy foods as these can make some people very unwell on WLI’s.

Just think how fab you’ll look come the summer. 💃

HolyMoly24 · 02/03/2026 11:53

Mine just got delivered and I administered it straight away.

Will be on tenterhooks all day now ha

Have you felt anything from it yet?

Fionaville · 02/03/2026 17:15

I'm due to get my first dose at the end of this week sometime. Getting it through my GP. I'm a bit nervous, but mostly excited! Good luck everyone.

No not yet am not sure how long it takes to kick in hoping for tomorrow 🤞🏼

helloworld88 · 02/03/2026 17:57

I’ve not felt hungry all day. Had some chicken about 11am and then about 3pm I was feeling nauseous (thinking it was maybe hunger) so tried some sausage and toast but could only eat a few mouthfuls. Had a bad tummy, very very bloated so got pjs on and in bed 🙈deffo got the eggy burps too

laul · 02/03/2026 18:09

forgot to mention I had wegovy not mj x

Pigriver · 02/03/2026 18:09

Top tips from someone who has done this before.
You can't eat much so prioritise nutrition. Let not thing past your lips that doesn't bring something to the game.
Fruit, veg, protein and fibre. You will get constipated!
Don't waste room in your belly with bread, pasta, rice etc they fill you up but have little nutrition.
Take a multivitamin and lots of water.
The appetite suppression can be strong and even though you don't feel hungry you must have calories. At one point I was barely eating and was soooo tired.
Little and often, a piece of fruit, a cup of thin veg soup etc
Dinner was on a side plate. Often less than what the kids ate. I tried to eat the meat and veg and just leave the carbs as I didn't want to make it blatant to them I was dieting.

Good luck, I'm still waiting on my documents and pics/video to be approved.

Poor you! You do need to re-think your diet on WLI.

I definitely had too much cheese on one occasion and felt yucky all night and slept very badly. I now avoid anything high in fat like sausages, chips etc.

I try to focus on lean protein and veg/salad or soups and drink lots and lots of water. Otherwise, I get the dreaded constipation. Really painful!!

If I want to eat a little something but don’t fancy an actual meal, I usually chop up a couple of apples or other fruit. That keeps me going.
