Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we spring into spring not obsessing over Easter Eggs for the second year 🥰

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and new stone brackets!
I’m on W68 D6 and on w12 of 2.5mg maintenance dose.

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 10lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far at lowest weight was 61.0 lbs (at 9st 6.0) maintenance has seen 4 of those pounds go back on.

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style/vinted chat too 🤗

Good result, @PinkArt!

I’ve had a couple of friends recently confide that they have started the jabs. I am very supportive, obviously! But this weekend I did notice that they are eating very, very carefully, and it reminded me of all our early days and occasionally dodgy tums! Glad that bit seems mainly in the past.

Oh the early days… If only I’d known really the importance of getting enough protein (and I mean at least 1.5 g per kilogram of bodyweight) combining that with essential amino acids, creatine and collagen. I feel like I’ve been on a massive journey on understanding supplements and nutrition. And in before times I thought I was pretty clued up!

As predicted that 7 stone loss was a bit shy for the official weigh in but still officially a pound down from last week and it'll be back soon.

It was there though 🙌👏
keep going 💪

Great going @PinkArt

Ive had an extended break. Started jabbing again last Monday with 1/3 of a 12.5 pen, and about 1/2 this morning.

Have been very unmotivated since getting back from hols, still have holiday gains to lose, it’s all gone to my thighs, quite fascinating.

Hope the rest of you are doing better and have sparkly slim summer bods ready to show off (let’s pretend the melty wax doesn’t exist).

RayonSunrise · 18/05/2026 10:54

Welcome back @jay55, and hope you find your motivation rising again soon! I’ve had quite a boozy-treaty weekend and am now a little puffy and back on the healthy eating this morning.

In other news I bought a new bikini from Toco Swim and am very impressed with it. Good support and a halter neck style that distributes the support weight into the back straps, instead of just around your neck. I was a little iffy about the sizing as it’s S/M/L etc rather than by band/cup. All fits very well though, I’m pleased with it! But will still be making good use of a cover up for the droopy bits.

And finally , I went into Zara this weekend and ran full tilt into their sizing weirdness - a sleeveless v-neck tee (should have been an easy win) was way too small in an M, but floaty tops and blouses were comically oversized and I had to go down to an S. So glad I didn’t buy any of it online and have to go through the whole returns cycle!

LindtCurves · 18/05/2026 22:50

Just reading various WLI articles today, thinking to myself, wow, I have lost a third of my body weight and maintaining it! I guess the 20% over 72 weeks is indeed representative.

Anyway... Has anyone developed any interesting nutrition habits?

  • Bone broth - is anyone having that? Supposed to be an amazing source of collagen...
  • Does anyone by any chance drink shots of olive oil? I'm considering it to avoid constipation as my insane fibre intake doesn't seem to quite do it
  • Sprouts - anyone adding these to food?
  • Any other slightly unorthodox food 'hacks' that anyone would like to come forward with?
jay55 · 19/05/2026 07:52

I’ve bought some sachets to make bone broth like cuppa soup and have not made any yet.
I keep forgetting I have it.

Ive had Joe and the juice concoctions with olive oil in. And they do send me to the loo quickly.

Now I’m back on the jabs I find it much harder to eat my veggies. I was doing really well with fruit and veg while off the jabs.

Years ago I’d get various sprouts as an add on to my Abel and Cole veg box. Not sure id go back to it, I don’t have fond memories and I have enough wind issues as it is.

Same. I thought i was pretty well educated on nutrition and despite having an awful diet, I felt I at least knew what I should be eating! Nope. Not a clue. 90s diet culture and Weight watchers really screwed my perceptions of healthy!

I love the idea of bone broth but then I smell it and it doesnt seem so appealing.....it is mean to work wonders for your gut health though!

Morning skinny gang.

Well I'm FINALLY back to my pre-Easter weight. 4lbs of weight gain gone but my God was it a slog. On reflection, I think this was a mixture of things. My Mirena coil was overdue a replacement, I had a couple of weeks where my HRT patches just wouldn't stick properly and I had been titrating down the doses of MJ. So by the time I got a new Mirena coil fitted, my hormones went a bit bonkers, Easter chocolate peaked, my mood absolutely tanked and with lower mounjaro in my body, the food noise was just too tempting.

So glad to be back on track now. Hormones seem to stabilising again and I went back up to 10mg last week. Slightly fed up at the thought of having to pay for 10mg jabs forever if I cant cope on 7.5mg but I'll see how I get on. I'll stay on 10mg over the summer I think as I'd love to get under 10 stone for my holiday at the end of June. That means another 4lb needs to come off, so head down and focus time.

Must admit, I'd gotten really lazy with protein and meal prep over the past few months and making sure I have quick protein snacks in the fridge and protei overnight oats prepped for breakfast has definitely helped to shift the Easter weight. I hadn't realised how much crap I was snacking on - why are UPFs so darn tasty?! 😫 Back on the clean eating now though with lots of prepped veggies and salad bits in the fridge!

Well done on getting rid of the Easter weight💪 totally agree if you have things already prepped in the fridge, you’re less likely to reach for the UPFs (as delicious as they are😂) There was an interesting article this week in The Times by the nutritionist from Zoe about which dips et cetera you should select in the supermarkets. If I remember later, I’ll send a link here.

I do find the hormone balancing aspect completely fascinating, we should really be taught all this stuff in School from a very early age (and in a very practical way)

I love the idea of bone broth but then I smell it and it doesnt seem so appealing.....it is mean to work wonders for your gut health though!

I make my own weekly. It’s inevitable that I will roast a whole chicken as it is more economical than buying individual cuts of chicken,so I just save the carcass and add in some aromatics (a few peppercorns couple of cloves of unpeeled garlic, celery, carrots, onion and usually some roasting herbs) plus about 3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and let it simmer for about 6 to 8 hours. Once it’s cold, I strain and decant into sterilised glass bottles which I keep in the fridge.I usually get enough to have a decent mugfull warmed up for around five days. I find it great for the times I feel a bit savoury snacky. Like a lot of things you can buy, I’m loathed to spend money on something I know I can actually make… Which leaves me more money to spend on Beauty stuff 😂

Well, you should be rightly proud of that!

No hacks from me beyond the usual… I’ll post a couple of links later on from The Times about satiating foods. Sprouts (unlike puppies)are strictly for Christmas I’m afraid.😂

In other news, I can report that mammograms are significantly more comfortable when you are 61lbs lighter!

Yes agree - hormone education would be SO helpful!

RayonSunrise · 20/05/2026 09:57

@LindtCurves, are you thinking bean sprouts or Brussels sprouts? I sprout the former myself and add to salads, but buy the commercial ones if I’m actually making East/South East Asian food. (The commercial ones just end up “fatter” somehow.) Brussels sprouts are a winter veg for me!

Like @MounjaropenI make my own stock, but mine tends to get used up in my cooking.

Other hacks - hemp seeds and linseed are very nutritious and stuffed with healthy oils, and can be quite nice blended into smoothies or sprinkled over morning yoghurt. My late father (who was very into eating for health) made his own kefir, which is pretty strong tasting (challenging, even) but contains a few times more probiotic than the more palatable commercial stuff. It does take some getting used to but is pretty unmatched for gut health.

One of my work colleagues makes kefir! Did you try it? I’d love to make it but I don’t trust myself with making much 🤣

I’m talking about sprouting sprouts 🌱 So lentils, beans etc. just bought a pack. Any notes of caution?

RayonSunrise · 20/05/2026 17:39

@LindtCurves Yes, I’ve made kefir! It’s quite sour & yeasty tasting. I didn’t acquire a taste for it (though I did take a medicinal daily swig for a good year or so). My children regarded it as Satan’s yoghurt. 😂

Goldleafcat · 20/05/2026 18:58

Checking in. Have had a bit of a stressful time here, DH’s heart failure symptoms are bad at the moment and he is in hospital. We were away at Center Parcs last week and as the week went on he progressively got worse then admitted to hospital Friday night based on guidance from the heart failure nurses. Bit of a bumpy time since, hospital paused some of his medications whilst assessing things which made things even worse! Finally they added the essential one back in (diuretics - he is now on a diuretic IV drip to make up for it!), and today moved to a dedicated cardiac ward. He’s also feeling less bad today. Hoping things improve.

We did however manage to have a nice time whilst away for the most part last week (I did the packing, unpacking, driving, towing a DS about in a trailer behind a bike, swimming and water slides etc!), and had some lovely lunches out. With the chaos I’ve had some ready meals / shite this weekend / week and therefore surprised to therefore find myself hitting 9 stone 7 both yesterday and today, which is a 7 stone loss! (Perhaps nothing like stress to burn the extra calories. Last time DH was in hospital in 2023 I lost 1.5 stone).

So… I think I’ve hit my ultimate weight loss goal. Originally it was 11 stone (which seemed impossible to imagine at the time). I’ve not been 9 stone 7 since I was 12/13 😂.

This is actually 10 stone 7 (probably more) of a loss from my heaviest around 2009. I’m literally more than half the person I was then, and when you think that what I am now includes a whole friggin skeleton, bodily organs etc. it’s rather terrifying. 😬

Now comes the task of maintenance. Planning to bounce about between this and maybe 9 stone 12 or so, potentially up or down a few pounds depending on the time of the month and various indulgences. I’m worried about piling everything back on so will be on MJ for quite some time whilst by body hopefully adjusts to its ‘new normal’ and will see how things go.

Have been having a few too many UPFs lately so planning a healthy food delivery and popping to the butchers for the weekend for easy cook protein rich stuff like nice chicken / meat skewers etc that I can have with salad, veggies etc. Nothing like seeing people struggling in hospital to make you think carefully about trying to preserve your health (within reason, we need to have fun too, and I have poured a giant glass of rose after schlepping about here there and everywhere, juggling work and home!).

Female, 45
SW: 16 stone 7 (Nov ‘24)
1st GW: 11 stone
Various GWs at half stone increments below 11 stone
Final GW: 9 stone 7
CW: 9 stone 7

Lost:
7 stone or 44.5kg or 98 guinea pigs 🐹

Starting BMI: 37.4
Current BMI: 21.5

All my metrics on the Renpho app are green with the exception of subcutaneous fat which is still 27.2%. Pretty sure I have lipoedema (thank you instagram for the lightbulb moment!) so that does potentially explain some of that, and I also have wobbly skin in places which may be read as fat by the scales.

Gosh what a bittersweet post. So sorry to read about your DH. What a shock. I hope he’s doing well on the meds.

7 stone loss is outstanding - although I’m sorry the last bit came off under such stressful circumstances.

I’m resigned to the fact that I’m on MJ for life. It’s not the end of the world and it has given me my life back so I m at peace with the fact.

sending you lots of love and a speedy recovery for your DH 💐💐💐
