Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we spring into spring not obsessing over Easter Eggs for the second year 🥰

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and new stone brackets!
I’m on W68 D6 and on w12 of 2.5mg maintenance dose.

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 10lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far at lowest weight was 61.0 lbs (at 9st 6.0) maintenance has seen 4 of those pounds go back on.

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style/vinted chat too 🤗

Happy Friday y’all!

update from me:

weight: hovering around 133lbs (no surprise it’s a bit up after a boozy bank holiday!)

Exercise: today I hit 400 completed Pvolve classes since I started in Nov 24 💪 that’s an average of 5 pw. I’m thrilled I kept it up. I’m also on a 16 week streak for Lagree too 💪I’ve played tennis and completed my treadmill walks (highly recommend Man on Fire on Netflix and also Legends)

Beauty/Fashion - i’ve not spent anything on beauty but have spent some money on some very reasonably priced peloton workout gear from their website plus the bargainous skirt I ported upthread.

Got a boozy lunch planned for tomorrow with DH and a local tidy up the area get together with the neighbours on Sunday … we’re grateful that we retained our local independent councillor rather than a turquoise- flavoured one!

Hope everyone has something lovely planned for the weekend!

Maybe it's a new restriction on the video. My scales don't work in under 5sec so it's impossible.

Also unimpressed they don't answer the phone (just tried again), and that even when I uploaded a short dummy video that was accepted, it still wouldn't progress to the next page.

So I'm open to suggestions of other providers.

Hope you get it sorted! 🤞

@Oceangrey I didn’t have any problems with my pharmulous video. I just put a full length mirror in my bathroom and filmed myself full length and then standing onto my scales and the display. It uploaded straight away and was approved and posted the next day.

wow @RayonSunrise you must be teeny tiny with. BMI below 20. Before this thread I’d never even have attempted to get below 24 but I can see I’d look slimmer at a lower BMI (currently 23) but not sure I’d be able to maintain it. You are doing amazingly.

another snail mucin convert here. Just make sure to put it on wet skin (same as HA).

I layer my snail muscin after the treat step of my routine and before final moisturiser. I love it!

Hello all, happy Friday! Today has been a weigh-in day:

SW: 93kg (14st 9lb)
GW: 63kg (10st)
CW: 62.8kg (9st 7)

…not quite sure how that little weight loss happened, given as I’ve been maintaining happily between 63/nearly 64 for a now. This puts my BMI and just under 20 and is a reminder to keep up my protein intake and strength traininng.

@OceangreyI had the same problem with my Pharmulous video and realised I literally just had time to show myself in a mirror, then to my height tape, then down to my feet stepping on the scale. That’s it Tool a couple of attempts, but I managed! I’ll see how this next order goes.

@Goldleafcat I love that snail mucin (sounds so weird anything that). I use the lighter one in the AM under my day cream and the really heavy gloopy one over my facial oil at night. Magic stuff!

@Mounjaropen thank you for the Karen Millen reminder, I’d not looked there. Am suddenly not sure what I want to wear now and am dithering - I feel like a big try-on day would help, but so much is online only now.

Well done!

I love a bit of KM these days. I’m a size S or 10 in their stuff.

Another week of no change - focusing though on enjoying how far I have come and not being annoyed with how slow it is now. I had set a weird milestone of wanting to hit 7 stones lost by Eurovision but it's a week earlier than I thought so I don't think I'll quite hit it. I do have a new size 14 dress for it though that would never in a million years have fitted last Eurovision.

Ooh keep going! The Eurovision dress sounds like a fab incentive!

Morning all! We made it to Friday. 🎉

Busy week here as I’m off to Center Parcs next Monday and lots of boring work bits to finish off! Weather is looking absolutely freezing which I’m not too impressed with. Like many of you, I’m definitely still feeling the cold more. When I got into the office yesterday my hands were blue (despite the fake tan I aspirationally applied on Wednesday)!

Had a fun evening out with a friend last night, she gets invited to lots of freebie events so I came as a bit of a plus one and enjoyed canapés / drinks in a lovely venue, and most importantly had a lovely catch up. Wore a Monsoon dress I got on vinted a while back which FINALLY fits (it’s a very small fitting 14!). Had lots of compliments in the office which was lovely (and no ‘you look too thin nonsense).

@Mounjaropen has influenced me to consider snail mucin and whilst checking out on an order on Amazon it temptingly showed me that the Corsx Advanced 96 is only £13 at the moment! So that has arrived and I’ll brave trying it this weekend! 🐌

My weight is holding steady (was actually still 9 stone 8 yesterday, didn’t brave weighing this morning after last nights fizz and food). On 12.5mg and it’s going well so far. Have two emergency 15mgs I ordered which I may use to take split doses somewhere down the line… Still working out my long term strategy!

Have a lovely Friday everyone

🥳 for the new dress and snail goo!

have a fab weekend!

@PinkArtI love your Eurovision milestone! Do you dress up to watch, or is it more of a calendar marker for the dress?

It's tradition that we all go to a friend's house to watch and despite it just being watching telly with my mates, I always think it's a great chance to wear something a bit extra! So the dress with the pink lamé stars is perfect 😂
Timing-wise, when I was looking ahead to milestones it potentially aligned with hitting one stone to goal. Then when that looked optimistic I figured aim for 7 lost, which is about 1.5 stones to go.

Well done!

I love a bit of KM these days. I’m a size S or 10 in their stuff.

I used to love a bit of KM back in the day! I remember having a great princess seamed, belted shirt dress from there that I now really wish I’d kept. I could probably zip into it now and everything. 😂

Re: sizing - so I think I’ve mentioned before that I’ve a reconstructed bust (hence no increase/decrease as my weight has soared up & down). These days I seem to be 12/M on top (broad shoulders + boobs!) and a 10/S below, unless I’m getting into something stretchy.

I ordered a couple of cotton summer dresses to try at home this week and am not 100% convinced they work - they fit the bust, are a little loose on waist & hips. What a problem to have, eh? If you’ve told the me of a couple of years ago I’d be considering that a problem I’d have told myself to get a grip.

Looks like the weight loss pills that are supposed to be good for maintenance are getting closer to being available. Not sure how I feel about the convenience of taking a daily pill over a weekly injection, but the proposed lower cost is very appealing!

I was listening to our other thread Patron saint - Dr Giles Yeo on R4 yesterday..he was saying the cost saving price will be once the patent has run out in 10years time 😭 Then the NHS will be able to roll it out for everyone (great news). Until that point, bods like Hira from Oushk will continue to profit on the gold rush (whilst giving a questionable service) for the tablets which are likely to remain expensive until the patent expiration. Obviously this is how drugs companies make their money - they’re not altruistic entities- but it’s likely to not be as inexpensive as people think. Although that said, tablets are easier to travel with, more convenient per se and beneficial for those with needle phobias.

I must have an issue with my mumsnet login because this random username appeared but i have been intermittently posting on this thread series since the beginning. Anyway I am 5ft1 , slow loser and I am planning to stop once I get one more stone off. Here's the last few years of weight tracking - spot the "lose weight before I am 40 dip', then climb upwards through my 40s and then the MJ effect. The goal weight on the graph is lower than I actually want, just displays better to set it lower. At 53 I am at my pre university weight. Just quite a bit saggier and wrinklier!

@random223 we started our MJ journey at the same weight and I'm not far behind you! I need to be at 9st 6 to be on the cusp of healthy and I am aiming to be closer to 9st before I aim to maintain.

Jinx! Also a similar graph. I've got 10 years of data (including a couple of years where I didn't weigh myself because it would have been too depressing). You can totally see where lockdown happened. Turning 40 to turning 50. What a journey!

As predicted that 7 stone loss was a bit shy for the official weigh in but still officially a pound down from last week and it'll be back soon.

Good result, @PinkArt!

I’ve had a couple of friends recently confide that they have started the jabs. I am very supportive, obviously! But this weekend I did notice that they are eating very, very carefully, and it reminded me of all our early days and occasionally dodgy tums! Glad that bit seems mainly in the past.
