I stopped taking progesterone Thursday 3rd Feb. I usually take 200 mg all month, no break. But, listened to my body that something wasn't right. I was all swollen and bloated.

I got my period Sat/yest, and I literally went down like a balloon paarrpppp...I mean, all heaviness feeling/bloating went in a couple hours.

I think I'll wait until next Monday to weigh in again. Give my body a chance as the weekend was very busy also, including pints of cider, and 2 hard tennis matches. Bit of a juxtaposition.

I inject on Thursdays (5 mg) and good suppression Fri/Sat/and seems to peak by Sunday. Monday eve, start getting hungry again. By Weds, back to normal.

@YellowStockingssorry no lol, it’s been a year 🤦‍♀️

Haha that makes more sense! Still an incredible loss, and so inspiring for all of us who are a year behind you. That's more or less what I'm hoping / needing to lose, so it's amazing to know it can indeed be done.

TwistedOrange · 09/02/2026 07:33

I’ve had my fourth jab of wegovy 0.25 last night, I have the 0.5 pen waiting for next week and I think I’m ready for it as noticed last week suppression didn’t last long and I found myself fancying chocolate and crisp which I didn’t have at all in the first couple of weeks. I’ve lost 6lbs over 3 weeks, whilst not the same as some big losses on here am still pleased with it. I didn’t lose anything in week 2 at all, but felt very bloated that week. Am hoping the move up doses will get things really going.

I haven’t had any side effects to speak of, which I’ve been pleased with obviously. I just hope it continues!

GW: no idea!

SW 12 9.9
CW 11 13
Wegovy - 4 doses of 0.25, 2 doses of 0.5 (2nd on yesterday when we got back)
Just come back from 4 days in Amsterdam. Did drink some alcohol which didn't affect me at all, felt very full most of the time, couldn't eat normally and if I did I suffered. Low level nausea has been with me since i started the 0.5 pen. The food suppression and fullness was evident all through the long weekend.

Weighed my self this morning and I've stayed the same (official weigh in is in 4 days).

FrothyCothy · 09/02/2026 09:17

Morning all!

End of week 5 (WG 0.25)
SW: 111kg
CW: 105.5kg
Total loss: 5.5kg/just over 12lbs

I expect a bit of a stall for couple of weeks before another shift on the scales as that seems to be my pattern. Sticking with 0.25 for the rest of this month as still working for me though I am HUNGRY today. Been to the gym at least twice a week for 5 weeks which is unheard of for me, I usually find an excuse not to go after a couple of weeks. Trying to get more steps in this week is the main goal. Have a good week everyone!

GreenLemonade · 09/02/2026 09:59

End of week 4 for me! I’ve lost almost 6 kg (13 lb), which I’m really pleased with ☺️

All of my clothes fit more loosely now, and I can even squeeze into jeans that I couldn’t zip up just a month ago!

Today, I injected 5mg for the first time. After reading so many posts about side effects kicking in when people step up their dose, I’m feeling a bit nervous. But I definitely want longer-lasting and stronger suppression, so I’ll just have to push through.

SW: 84kg
CW: 78kg
TW: 60kg

I'm in my 4th week, I'm on wegovy and I'm due to increase this week
SW 16st1
CW 15 st8
Weight loss 7lbs

YouBelongWithMe · 09/02/2026 10:32

I took my fourth jab of WG on Thurs.

SW: 14st 6.8lb
CW: 13lb 9.4lb
Total weight loss so far: 11.5lb in 3.5 weeks
Not sure on goal weight yet. Am 5ft9 and their suggestion of 11st seems really low for me.

Moving up from 0.25 to 0.5 on Thurs

glutenisthedevil · 09/02/2026 10:34

I have the dreaded sulphur burps and nausea today and have had to bring my Pepto Bismol to work!
I went out with friends on Saturday night, my first time navigating eating and drinking out since starting MJ. I ate half a bowl of pasta, had a couple of G&Ts and came in just under my daily calories. I felt absolutely fine at the time but I'm paying for it today! Thankfully I'm in the office on my own so don't have to pretend I'm OK or make up excuses for why I'm feeling so rubbish.

whiteandblackfluffycat · 09/02/2026 10:42

I’ve had zero side effects from moving up to 5mg on Friday.

I’ve finally dropped another lb after staying the same for 1.5weeks, bringing my total loss to 22lbs, and I’m feeling positive about this Friday’s weigh in.

Lovingtheglitter · 09/02/2026 11:26

4th weigh in this morning and I have lost 3lbs so a total of 16lbs altogether. I’m really happy with that looking forward to losing more. I’m still on the 2.5mg dose and will see how I go in the next couple of weeks to see if I go up to 5mg or stay on 2.5mg. Still undecided. Day six is my day where I actually feel hungry but have managed to keep the beast away and by day 7 I’m back to the jab.

cautiouslyoptimistic3 · 09/02/2026 12:44

End of week 2 here and I have lost 0.6kg this week (1.3 pounds) - and a total of 1.65kgs so far. It’s slow but I have to remind myself that 1-2 pound weekly loss is the average. I noticed that my clothes felt suddenly a bit looser on Wednesday (or not as tight let’s just say). I must start taking measurements as another gauge as looks like movement on the scales doesn’t mirror the change in size. Onwards and will jab later this evening. Must remember to keep up the water and strength training. Only managed one gym visit last week.

JHound · 09/02/2026 13:12

Marking my place! I am blown away at people who had a good rate of weight loss on 2.5mg. I have barely noticed it!

roshi42 · 09/02/2026 13:23

I have lost 78lbs (5.5 stone) which is the equivalent of two and a half of my nearly 2 year old. I find her so heavy to hold - I certainly couldn’t carry 2.5 of her 24/7! It really brings it home how much I’ve changed every time I pick her up.

CatNoBag · 09/02/2026 16:03

I did my 5th dose this morning using the syringe I got from MedExpress. I tried turning the clicky thing afterwards and could only get it to turn a few clicks before it stuck, so I'll stick to the syringes I think for the extra doses. I was half dead after a terrible nights sleep (not MJ related) so I'm assuming I did it right!

I've got a 5mg pen ready for next week, but I think I'll keep it in the fridge and count 40 clicks to get 3.33mg, which should be 6 doses + the extra at the end if it's there. I'm enjoying the calmness and clearer mind that comes with MJ, but I'd also like to be able to think some of it is down to me so that I can be confident I can maintain when I come off.

I've lost about 9lb in total. I had a sneaky peek on Saturday, and then today my weight had actually gone up about half a pound, but still a tiny bit down from last week so I'm not too concerned. I think I'm a bit bloated and inflamed and holding water as well after a big exercise day yesterday and not sleeping last night, so I'll try the scales again in a day or two!

Roll on bedtime tonight, I'm a zombie today!

HollywoodTease · 09/02/2026 17:14

Checking in to the new thread.

My next weigh-in and 4th 2.5 dose should be tomorrow but I'm still on holiday in Las Vegas so I'm postponing until I get home on Thursday.

Am also ordering my 1st 5mg MJ pen tomorrow so hopefully it gets home when I do!

Not sure what the scales will say this week - I've done a lot of walking and swimming (and dancing, I'm here to see Def Leppard!) and food has been sensible and low carb but there have also been margaritas! 🍹

It is what it is though, life is for living right? Back to normality on Thursday.....

NewPantsforaNewYear · 09/02/2026 23:35

Thanks to everyone who replied and it feels reassuring that a few other people are thinking of counting clicks to get 3.33.
So sorry to hear about those of you who are having an awful time with side effects.
I’m a bit nervous about moving up from 2.5 but I’ve definitely felt more tempted to snack recently.

notcomfortable · 10/02/2026 06:44

The only side effect I have noticed is that I am farting less 😂
Less regular on going to the toilet as well which does scare me as I had this as a side effect last year and would only go once a week.
I've read some horror stories on here of what could happen to you so I think I need more fibre maybe? But I don't feel constipated, I just don't have the urge to go

HollywoodTease · 10/02/2026 07:39

I've been a bit like that too! TMI to follow, sorry....

I have IBS so diarrhea was a regular thing for me, I'd normally get a flare at least twice a week but even when "normal" I would still "go" at least 2 or 3 times a day.

Since starting this nearly 4 weeks ago I have only had one IBS flare which I think was a reaction to a rich hollandaise-style sauce I had on a piece of salmon in a restaurant.

I've also only needed to go once every 2-3 days. I'm not constipated though, no straining, pain or bloating, and when I do go it's normal consistency and size.

I'm thinking it's either because I'm eating less or drinking more water. Not complaining though, it's nice to not be dashing to the loo every few hours!

Sadly I'm still farting as much though 😳

Octagoneaway · 10/02/2026 09:15

My weight loss is still very slow, but I’m managing to (mostly) cut out all the junk, so I’m happy enough. I’ve “only” lost 5kg since 1/1. Done 2 x 5mg now. This week has stalled a bit because I’ve had some wine and there are some nights out planned (big birthday 😬), but ultimately, if I can just get back on track more easily than I would have done without the mj, I won’t worry too much.

I’m also conscious of muscle loss. So slow and steady seems sensible for now. I can still eat reasonable portions at 5mg, so I hope I can stay on that next month too.

goldylock · 10/02/2026 09:43

Day 6, Week 1, 5 mg

Played 3 hours of tennis last night and I think that helps me with BMs; the hopping around and agitation.

I haven't weighed in a couple of weeks, as weight fluctuates so much, but I am moving better on the court and I was wearing a size M leggings yest (brand new/never worn), and they are looser than usual.

Need to book flights with my friend later, and I said to her "I'll be over after I go to the gym." Actually looking forward to it 🤣

MrTiddlesTheCat · 10/02/2026 10:31

Tomorrow is my next weigh in. What would you do? Use the home scales, which identify as a random number generator, first thing and focus on the general trend rather than the actual numbers. Or haul your ass over to the health centre after breakfast to get an accurate reading.

goldylock · 10/02/2026 10:35

@MrTiddlesTheCat

They say the best time to weigh is after peeing in the morning, prior to drinking/eating anything.

I would buy a new set of scales that are accurate :)

Get one that connects to an app so your weight loss is all recorded in a graph, it’s v cool and worth the money.

I’ve got some Garmin scales arriving today. To help me monitor fat and muscle as well as weight. £100 direct from Garmin. £120 elsewhere.
