I am mid way through week 2 on my second pen and stuck with 2.5 - although am tempted to go up as my suppression is nowhere near the same as it was

I can definitely feel that dampened mood effect. It’s manageable for now though.

Do you feel numb? Like any feeling is there, but kind of flat?

Perimenoanti · 11/04/2026 09:09

I am feeling a bit fed up of the ‘dieting’ now too. I know It’s not really dieting but the way I need to eat for life. I know it works but yes I do miss being able to eat without thinking. I feel like it’s another part of life that I now need to give lots of attention to. Which obviously I wasn’t doing and that’s why I am where I am now.

@Perimenoantiare you drinking lots of water? It really makes a difference to my feelings of hunger.

As soon as the carbs creep in, my restraint falters so I am sticking to low carb, high fat to feel more satisfied.

I am off on holiday tomorrow so I’m allowing myself a break this week. I took my dose a day early and will delay the next one until I’m back so around a 10 day gap. Hopefully this will give me the mental ‘break’ I need and I can get back on it afterwards and try to shift the next stone before summer.

I am. I cannot get off the loo some days. I don't usually get insanely hungry. But I get hungry and I absolutely cannot eat like a bird or I will get more hungry.

Yes! Although I’ve been like that to some degree for the last decade but it does feel more pronounced.

Octagoneaway · 11/04/2026 11:21

I’m definitely sliding backwards, stagnated for a bit, then gained a couple of lbs (although hormonal too). So I’ve got one more 5mg jab, then I’ll move up.

The only advantage of this taking so long is that no one suspects that I’m jabbing. 🤣

glutenisthedevil · 11/04/2026 12:29

Weigh day today for me and I've lost another pound, which doesn't sound like a lot but I've had my birthday this week and, even though I've remained in a calorie deficit, I have definitely eaten more carbs than usual.

I've now lost 35lbs/15.88kg/2 and a half stones in total, which is 15% of my body weight. More importantly for me is that I'm now in the 13s. I don't think I've been 13 anything in the last 6 years. It's a great feeling.

I'm sticking to 3.33mg for now as I still seem to be having good suppression and minimal food noise. Hoping to get away with the lower dose for as long as I can!

BeWildPearlFish · 11/04/2026 17:27

I've weighed today and 1lb on 😭 but looking back over the week I can see why.
I'm back at work on Monday so back into better routines and more stringent meal planning so hopefully it's just a blip

I have lots of weight to lose ( 5+ stone ! ) and haven't lost anything for nearly 3 weeks . I have not eaten anymore than past weeks and it's peeing me off but I refuse to give up and hoping for that magical whoosh .

Hotfirewood · 11/04/2026 17:42

I think it’s another plateau week! Stuck at 70kg (11st). It feels slow. On the plus side, I’m much happier looking in the mirror and feeling how my clothes fit better. Keep reminding myself that 11kg (24lbs) off in 15 weeks is a lot of weight to no longer be carrying around!!

Dose day tomorrow and I’m going to do 6.25mg (up from 5mg) and see what happens. Actually I might just go to 7.5mg and see if that kick starts anything.

P.s. MIL told me over lunch today that I’ve lost too much weight and I can’t afford to lose anymore from my face at this age 😆 My face looks fine. Actually I haven’t noticed much change on my face, it’s mainly off my bum and tummy 👏

Perimenoanti · 11/04/2026 19:19

So lots of us are just a bit miserable now 😂 I thought I would just keep being extatic like during the first two weeks.

CatNoBag · 11/04/2026 19:27

@Hotfirewood - I'm the opposite, I think I lost a stone from my face and neck in the first two months, it's only just starting to hit my belly now 😂

CatNoBag · 11/04/2026 19:33

GreenLemonade · 10/04/2026 19:11

Sadly, I can't just eat when I'm hungry either. I wish it worked like that for me, maybe it would if I was on an even high dose. If I ate when I wanted I would probably eat twice more than I'm eating now.

There's lots of things I would like to eat but I don't because they would blow my calorie deficit in a couple of bites. For example, a chocolate croissant is around 400 calories, that's more than a third of my daily allowance so no chance I'm eating that. I also crave rich, fatty foods like cheesy pasta bake or thick cut chips, all of which have would probably take my entire daily calories. So instead I eat pasta with tomato sauce and seafood, or baked potato, which keep me on track but leave me unsatisfied.

Is that food noise?

On the bright side, at the rate that I'm going the goal is really in sight. I'll keep doing what I'm doing for 2 more months and then I'll slow down.

I made something close to a cheesy pasta bake recently, but using silken tofu for the sauce (blitz in a blender with mustard, some parmesan and garlic powder), then mixed with a mix of pasta and cauliflower and cheddar (recipe was low fat cheddar, but I used full fat). It's high protein and very filling. The recipe is on Mob, but I think it's a locked to subscribers. If you fancy it I'll copy and paste the recipe into a DM.

No definitely not
I took a 3 month break last year, so I have been on this rodeo for over a year now. I am FED up
I still enjoy food and if I want pasta, I will eat it just in smaller quantities. If I want pizza, I'll have it just order a smaller pizza/save some for the next day.
Apparently depression and anxiety are a small side effect of mj so its very important to watch out for that x

A break as in you kept jabbing but didn't diet?

Perianth · 12/04/2026 18:33

Can we talk supplements?

I know some of you take collagen, but is anyone taking creatine? It’s supposed to help build muscle and apparently women have low stores of it. At least that’s what the Facebook ads keep telling me!

Biotin - hair and nails?

Protein powders? I bought one but it’s disgusting and I can’t drink it.

Perimenoanti · 12/04/2026 19:15

I take a multivitamin, plus vit d and k2, all from nutravita. I got collagen but don't bother with it.

I like the raspberry vanilla protein powder from myprotein. I drink it instead of snacking or when my daily protein intake has been v low, or when I don't feel full after a meal and need more.

Hotfirewood · 12/04/2026 20:08

@Perianth I use Nutrition Geeks glow up collagen most days. Every day, I take iron, vitamin d with k12 and biotin. All from Nutrition Geeks. I have let noticed hair loss and my nails are good.

Also using a red light mask so I look like Iron Man for 6 mins a day too 😂

Perianth · 12/04/2026 20:32

I already take so many supplements I rattle!

Vitamin D
Vitamin B complex
Glucosamine
Biotin
Elecrolytes
Psylium husk

Now I’m feeling I might need collagen and creatine.

Thanks for the MyProtein recommendation @Perimenoanti - I might try again. The one I bought is from Bulk and it’s unbearably sweet and cloying.

I personally wouldn't use creatine unless you're doing a lot of high intensive excersize.
I take collagen to help with hair loss and I buy ready made shakes as I really don't like the powder but most protein will be sweetened

Perimenoanti · 12/04/2026 21:34

Oh yeah I take electrolytes too. I lose weight by whooshing, which is very exhausting unless I replenish with electrolytes.

Perimenoanti · 12/04/2026 21:36

@perianth buy the samples from my protein to see which ones you might like. I don't like most of them. Only the raspberry vanilla covers the taste of the sweetener. Its quite ok and pretty good with some ice.

CatNoBag · 12/04/2026 21:52

@Perianth - I’ve been taking creatine for a few years. I started to help with muscle building, but then read more into it and basically unless you have kidney problems I would (and do) recommend it for everyone. The main reason I’m taking it is that there are studies showing it can reduce the risk of dementia. My husband started taking it after reading the research, he swears if he stop his brain gets foggier. You have to take it consistently for at least a month to get the benefits, and keep taking it. We have a dodgy ziplock of white powder in our luggage for every holiday now!

FrothyCothy · 12/04/2026 21:55

Creatine can also mean you hold on to a bit of weight from what I’ve read which I think puts some people off. I’ve not used it but probably should! I do use protein powder most days (myprotein vegan vanilla flavour) and when I remember I take magnesium, biotin and vitamin D, so about 2-3 times a week.
