Thanks for the reply @Crunchymum 😁 I'm about a stone away from where I think I should be for my age / frame etc, but like a few others on here I am a plodder so that could take a wee while to get to 🤦‍♀️

Maybe I should just move up a dose? I kept thinking of the cost but if I'm not loosing on current dose then I'm just paying to STS on 7.5mg, definitely something to think about. Interesting that you don't get the dead stop either, I get it to some extent with wine, after a couple of glasses I just don't want it, but not with food. Thanks for your advice 😁

If you can afford it, I would move up. If it is too much you can micro dose.
I feel very lucky that I only went as high as 7.5mg but only a couple of doses 6mg was my optimal. I'm now down to 2.5mg and still losing. I am hoping to lose 3-5lbs more then I will start upping calories to maintain. Oushk said to up calories by approx 50 calories a day for a week and so on until I find my optimum for maintenaining.
We have all got this on our different journeys.

Coffeeandallthebooks · 27/01/2026 07:55

Lost a pound this morning. I do count myself lucky as I had a Burns Supper on Saturday and I expected to gain or stay the same.

Really hope I can lose next week and get in the tens, I can't believe I weighed 16 stone last January. I keep expecting to wake up one day and its all back on!

ThePilatesLife · 27/01/2026 09:43

Morning all. Just catching up.

It sounds like a few of us are navigating the next stage now. It’s tricky.
I was hoping to lose a few more lbs to give me a bit of a buffer, but that hasn’t happened. I’ve been bobbing around the 60/61kg (bmi 23/24) mark for 3 months now, so I’ve decided to titrate down.Tbh, I’m not feeling a lot of suppression so I’ve started to track calories again. My TDEE for maintenance comes out at 11,000 cals per week. I’m planning on doing 1400 cals during the week and 2000 at weekends. I feel this is doable long term, as long as I keep up the exercise.
Im still not sure when I’m going to stop. Price wise, it’s not too bad as I’m on wegovy and Asda usually send me a money off voucher each month, but it’s just the inconvenience. I have a multi-country holiday booked for the summer and do not want to be faffing about with pens and refrigeration.

BTW. Great photo @Merlin23 .Thats quite a difference.

Coventree · 28/01/2026 08:13

Great photo @Merlin23. Good luck with getting to and maintaining a healthy bmi for your height - glad you’ve got a doctor keeping an eye on you.

This thread makes for a bit of sober reading for post-MJ life if it’s passed anyone by. Obesity is a complex beast and I’m not sure we (I) fully understand it as yet: https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/weight-loss-injections/5480817-coming-off-the-jabs-please-tell-me-what-happened?utm_campaign=thread&utm_medium=app_share

And 2lbs off for me today 🎉. 1lb to a 5st loss and a healthy BMI - c’mon next week!

🥳🎉 Great news @Coventree!

Re the thread - I do think that a majority of those who stop the wlis will regain, so the gains they are reporting come as no surprise to me. Maintenance, for most of us, will require as much work as losing, maybe more. I know I must continue to count and track calories and keep up the weights and cardio.

My TDEE is v low as I am small and old, so it would be easy to feel deprived when looking at my DH & DCs plates. I have lost and gained weight many times in the last 20 or so years, I know that maintaining is hard - maybe impossible without help.

My plan is to titrate down (from current 2.5mg, so not much) with a view to coming off in the summer and see how it goes. If I start to regain I will go back on (assuming my provider will agree).

In short, the gains people are experiencing (on that thread) are likely due to slipping back into old ways (because the overwhelming hunger and/or food noise returns). Each individual will need to find their own way through, there will be different paths and experiences but also similarities and shared experiences. I’m sure we will continue to support each other through maintenance, as we have so far on this journey.

Coventree · 28/01/2026 19:08

Yes, I think that’s a part of it @AbundanceofKatherines, making sure we eat well and build muscle afterwards, but I do feel there’s something more about the hormone regulation and other wider effects that the MJ (and Wegovy etc) offers, and how much impact that has on our ability to not pile it back on once it’s out of our systems. I guess I’m about to find out in a few weeks’ when my last pen runs out.

@Coventree
If you can afford it try Oushk as they seem really good for maintenance. You pay £5 for a call where you talk everything through. Then upload the evidence and id and they give you a discount to be on a maintenance or taper plan.

Coventree · 29/01/2026 07:37

I’m kind of feeling ready to give it a go without medication @Merlin23…but will be running back to a maintenance provider and begging to join if it doesn’t work! I’ll keep Oushk in mind for if/when that happens, thanks

I wish I was. I have decided next January to go it alone. I want my body to get as much help as possible to stay here. I admire your courage @Coventree

Merlin23 · 29/01/2026 14:08

Looking fab @AbundanceofKatherines
Its such a transformation.

We had our work photos updated today. I don't recognise myself.

Merlin23 · 30/01/2026 08:40

Weigh in day
I'm the same as last week however as I weigh day i have been 2lbs down this week. The scales say I have 2lbs more water than when I weighed 2lbs lighter. So I'm taking it as water weight.
So unofficially 2lbs loss in brackets
SW 202lbs 14st 6lbs
CW 125lbs (123lbs) 13st 13lbs (13st 11lbs)
Total loss 77lbs (79lbs)

I received my order from Oushk so I will buy enough to taper off early next January. I would like another Christmas on mj so I can start a fresh next year.
This year I have my son's graduation in the USA to get through which includes a 9 night cruise afterwards. I definitely need mj to get through USA portions.

Have a good one!

Zebracat · 31/01/2026 09:22

@AbundanceofKatherines and @Merlin23 , wow to the photos, you both look wonderful. Seeing photos helps me so much, hope to be brave enough one day.
Weigh day today. 82.9, first time I’ve seen that 2. A loss of .6 kg this week, really hoping that I’m finally back on track. Swimming seems to make the difference for me, and it fell right off over Christmas, for some good reasons, but also because I didn’t centre my needs. I’ve committed to 48 lengths at least 3 times a week, and I can achieve it this week if I do the Sunday 7 am session, not my favourite but I feel good afterwards. We have friends coming today, so I’ll need to be careful, but I don’t want to jeopardise that precious 2.

Coventree · 31/01/2026 09:30

Fab photos @AbundanceofKatherines. What a difference this drug has made to so many of us, whether we’ve reached our stopping points or keeping going 🎉. Have a happy healthy weekend all…and enjoy your 7am swim @Zebracat 😴😮👏

dozywelshbird · 31/01/2026 09:33

Wow, what amazing photos @AbundanceofKatherines you look great!

Excellent loss @Zebracat and enjoy the day with your friends. I've been contemplating swimming as I only really do dog walks, you might have inspired me to give it a go.

I posted earlier in the week about my frustration with my plateau, amazingly I got on scales this morning and I am 3lbs down, 160lb 😁 so 44lbs lost in total. So happy 😁

Merlin23 · 31/01/2026 10:20

Yesterday I went shopping and tried some clothes on. I have decided that I don't need to lose anymore. When I started I thought a size 12/14 would be my aim. I am now a 10/12 and I don't recognise myself, I was a size 20/22.
I think I am going to try and maintain where I am.
I just need to eat slightly above where I have been
Add more fresh produce for this.
It is so hard as watching the numbers drop is addictive.

Scousebloke · 31/01/2026 12:03

Hi all. A rare check in from the scouse man. Just read up on the last couple of pages. Great photos @AbundanceofKatherines well done. Also @Merlin23 well done on your pictures too and ive just got the book you recommended on the other thread which will give me something to read on my 9 hour flight to India on Monday x
Interesting read on this thread about the numbers going down on the scales being a little addictive and i kind of feel the same. I started out at 18 stone 8 which was clearly to heavy but as a 6ft 1" man that had previously been 19 stone at my heaviest it was not hugely overweight. It was a bmi of 34 for context. When i started i was hoping to lose 50lb by christmas which i achieved in early December. My overall target was a total loss of 4 stone, i have currently lost 4 stone 4lb making me 14 stone 4lb, a weight i have not been since i left school nearly 40 years ago. A few people i know have said i look to skinny now and im not sure if they are right or not. My bmi is around 26 so still not quite in the healthy range but i only use that as a rough guide because i don't think its a great indicator but probably the best we have got. Time to try and maintain i think and any opinions on this will be appreciated.
Ah well, im going on holiday on Monday and its a flight from Heathrow so driving down tomorrow and taking in a gig tomorrow night, so i will probably gain a couple of pounds over the next fortnight and want to lose it again x

Stasis26 · 31/01/2026 14:53

Hi everyone - just checking in after a horribly busy work week and much cheered up by your updates and especially @AbundanceofKatherinesand @Merlin23photos - such a change. I’ve been looking at comparison photos too recently as I took lots last January and the difference is astonishing but unfortunately I only did them in underwear so I’m not sharing here 😂.

I too am out shopping today and like you @Merlin23(although as we discussed recently we are very different heights) I am also now squarely in between size 10s and 12s I’ve bought a mix of each. I was in stretchy 18s a year ago. It’s still surprising to be shopping at the front of the rack. I got size 10 massive denim flares that will drag in the dirt and be wrecked in no time but I can wear them with a little tshirt and feel like I’m 23 again 😆

have a great trip @Scousebloke ive lost around 4stone too and now feel firmly in maintenance, with a bit of fluctuation up and down a few pounds I have been same since before Christmas.

so many other great stories and for those of you having a bit of a plateau or feeling disheartened right now I think maybe that has to do with the time of year. It’s so hard to be motivated to be active and healthy when it’s dark and miserable and you want to hide under a heated blanket on the sofa until summer! I think the time we all started in April was perfect - sunshine, lots of chicken salads and being active outdoors! Even if you just maintain or lose very slowly for a bit it might well pick up again when we get back to April - it will be here before we know it - Feb tomorrow!

anyhow I am having a blueberry muffin and coffee in costa then onwards for more shopping! Have a great weekend April losers 😃
