Congrats on getting Ofsted out of the way @Merlin23glad it wasn’t too stressful for you.

@Pinkapronyes I moved to Swift Doctor for my last order (and had made one previous order with them in August - I have used about 5 different suppliers). I specifically made one more order with them in November to have myself on record as wanting to move to maintenance and try to come off MJ, as they allow reorder of 2.5mg with a gap of up to 12 months. I confirmed this with them and this is the exact wording from my email:

“With regards to restarting after a break, yes we allow patients to restart within 12 months of their last order as long as your BMI remains above 21 (our prescribing cut off).

Thanks,
Customer Support
SwiftDoctor”

I am currently maintaining at BMI 22.5ish and using up the last of my pen stash. I intend to order another pen from them before my 12 months is up to reset the clock and keep myself in the system in case of future gains, I never want to have to get back to obese to meet the criteria again.

Thank you so much, that’s really helpful 💐

Hello all, I have been missing other than to check in but I lost the last of my Christmas excess with a 4lbs loss this week, so happy with that

It is great to see how everyone on and approaching maintenance is doing, its really helpful to know what to expect when trying to plan.

Merlin23 · 16/01/2026 08:54

Weigh in day
.2lb off
Body comp scales say my fat is down by 1.1lb and muscle mass is up by 0.9lb
So the little loss is a good one.
It is so good having the scales which tell me more than one number.
I have upped my protein this week and eaten an average of 150 calories more per day.
I haven't jabbed yet I am going to try jabbing every 10 days to eek my supply out. I would like to get another 1-3lbs off but if I don't I never thought I would be 9 stone.
76lbs total loss
Stressful week over. Ofsted was good. We only got marked down on one thing and that was a management oversight. Inspector loved what I was doing so that was a positive.
Have a great week everyone!

dozywelshbird · 16/01/2026 09:43

great updates and losses everyone, well done on the inspection @Merlin23

my 2lb Christmas/NY gain has gone, so 41lb total - way slower than others but I am now only 9lb away from top end of healthy weight - hurrah! Need to seriously think about goal weight now, probably need to give myself a buffer and try for another stone off, if I could get to that for the 1 year anniversary of starting MJ at the end of April I'd be very happy 😁

Happy Friday everyone 😄

Weigh day. 84.5, so sts. I really am struggling since Christmas. Too much bread I think. And we’ve had loads of people staying/ interruptions to our routine. Normally our life is quiet but it’s chaos. Ate pizza and chips last night, followed by chocolate. I don’t even like pizza!

@Zebracat
You've got this! A few bad weeks can't derail 8 months work. Plan this weeks meals. If you have time maybe batch cook. Log everything that you eat, that way it will put you off. If you go to at something and you know you have to add it to a food diary, it should put you off.
I shop online so that stops rubbish being bought. I buy snacks for other family members and give them to them so they are not in my food cupboard.
You can do this @Zebracat you really can. You've done it before you can do it again.
Sending hugs and motivation to you!

Stasis26 · 17/01/2026 09:52

Hi everyone - well done on keeping on going whether you have losses/gains or stay the same. This is always the hardest time of year, dark, depressing and feeling like you should be on a new year resolution sort of heath kick. But it’s different for us this year, we are on the long haul so don’t let it get you down, I’m really aware of wanting carbs and sweet things much more again, but just having them in reasonable amounts and not gaining weight - that’s pretty steady now - but I do see a bit of tummy bloat already, I guess it shows quicker on a smaller body! Easy to hide in winter jumpers though 😂

Happy weekend to you all. More than halfway through January 🎉

Just ordered from Bolt. Waiting for information to be reviewed. 🤞
Wanted to know why I hadn't ordered for 8 weeks just said I ordered before I needed it due to buying more before the price increase.
Hope I get approved as then I can microdose until I try to come off fully.

2lb loss this week

Finally feel back ‘on it’ and now a lower weight than pre-Christmas,New Year, snow, Birthdays & Daughters graduation day whoop whoop!!!!
Well done everyone on the weight losses and NSV’s!!!!
Have a fab week!!!

Crunchymum · 17/01/2026 17:38

Forgot to post yesterday but I'm -1lb this week which I'm happy with as its time of the month.

Have been prescribed some antibiotics for a widom tooth infection (I initially thought I had an infection a few months back but it never fully materialised).

I haven't started them yet but if I do take them I can't jab this week. As I take a few other medications too - on quite a tight schedule - the antibiotics are going to cause a dosing headache. I need my rheumatologist to confirm if I can still take my arthritis medication or not so I'll hold off until tomorrow.

I'm on the waiting list for removal so that's something at least.

SassyLimeHelper · 18/01/2026 10:23

Hi everyone, checking in again on week 2 of trying to lose my 10lb Christmas gain. I've lost another 3lb this week, so 6lb of the 10 is gone already. Woohoo!
I've just used the exact meal plans I did when I was on MJ - feels really good to be back on track.

Cancelled order as I uploaded all prescription evidence but their AI wouldn't accept it
I have booked a maintenance call with Oushk on Friday. 🤞
I just want to get a couple more pens so I can get off in 18 months. I need to order before the gap is too long.
Had a cheeky weigh in this morning and I've dropped a pound. First time since a child I had an 8 at the beginning. 8st 13lbs
Dreaming!

PumpKim · 18/01/2026 17:22

2lb off today, which is unheard of for this pound a week girl!

I'm a daily weigher and I've been dancing around a total loss of 3 stone this week, but my overall average didn't quite hit the mark 🙄 next week 🤞

Still plodding with you @dozywelshbird I'm down 41.4 in total now.

I need to order my next pen but I'm running out of cheaper providers! It's such a faff having to sign up as a new customer every time but needs must.

Weigh day for me

SW 87.65kg
CW 69.15kg
GW 65kg

So after 2 weeks of gains, I've finally had a loss!

0.8kg off this week. I really made an effort to avoid chocolate and bread and that seems to have done the trick. Phew!

Hello! Happy January, it’s been a while since I’ve posted but I have checked in here or there. Happy to hear everyone’s successes and so many talking about maintaining!
I managed Christmas ok though ate way more than normal obviously and had a few tummy issues as a result. Weight wise I gained a few pounds and lost them again and overall I have now sat at the same weight for almost 9 weeks give or take the Christmas week on week off. So unintentionally maintaining, I would have loved to have lost a few more pounds as a buffer but think I just need to accept it for what it is. Have lost 4stone overall and my bmi is just a point over 25!
met with my doctor and had an interesting full body scan done, which points to more exercise needed to increase muscle, overall not too bad though. We discussed maintenance and his plan is 5mg every 10days for a few weeks then 2.5mg every 7 days and then space that out. Sound sensible? He is absolutely fine about using an open pen for longer than 30 days as long as it’s in the fridge. I will admit I’m as nervous about this stage as I was about starting way back in April! I need to up the water, lay off the chocolate habit that’s creeped back in since Christmas especially in evenings and back to calorie counting. Good luck everyone this week and thank you for the continued support this thread has been xx

That is really good support.
I've been using the same pen since beginning of December and I've got another 7 doses to get out of it!
I wish I had a doctor supporting me. As a private patient the NHS don't even want to talk to you about it even though it was an NHS doctor who told me to try it if I could afford it.
You would think they would support the maintenance as it will save them money in the future.

Well done on maintaining and getting through Christmas.

wendywoopywoo222 · 19/01/2026 11:59

well done everyone. Three pounds down this week, total of 5 stone 10 loss taking me to my original target of 16 stone which is the lowest I have been as an adult, Changed my target to 14 which now feels achievable. Have so much energy so am exercising 4 times a week which must be helping too.

sending you all support to lose and maintain. I will be there one day.

Week 38 weigh in and its 0.5lb off today. Thought it might have been more but hey ho a loss is a loss. I would like another 4lb in the next 4 weeks before we go on holiday so fingers crossed I can manage it. Well done everyone on the great losses and I hope you all have a good week 😊

StartingApril2025 · 19/01/2026 14:03

@Merlin23 thanks, yes definitely helpful having a doctor to discuss things with- they are a private gp so of course charge for the consultation but had been worth it for the questions and queries that has come up. I’m sorry you haven’t had support- I agree the nhs should in some way support especially as they will be saving a lot in the long run as the nations health overall improves.
The doctor did say that in his opinion there is no hard and fast rule about maintaining/ tapering off. Only thing he advises against is obviously stopping cold turkey, he said the majority if not all the studies on weight gain after stopping have been on patients who have stopped suddenly. You’ve lost a phenomenal amount of weight, well done. I’m sure the next few months for you will be as successful as those that have gone by, congratulations xx

Stasis26 · 20/01/2026 05:47

Well done @BudgieMomand @StartingApril2025great to see you back on the thread and still doing well on this journey! I think @StartingApril2025
you were the first person I chatted to on this board mid April and it inspired me to start the first late April thread as there were so many of us that month! Wonder if January26 starters is even busier - i would have thought so!

wow @wendywoopywoo222congratulations on your amazing loss and milestone of new lowest adult weight - that’s life changing and it’s lovely this has made you confident and secure in the knowledge your new goals are achievable too. And enjoying exercise!

it made me think back to the very first few weeks I injected. Something in my head just shifted and I knew I would lose all the weight. Truly amazing.

Well done everyone for the fab losses - a lb here and there is brilliant consistent, steady loss. We have all so got this. And amazing @wendywoopywoo222 to have recalculate your goal weight because you’ve smashed it!

How the last few days been @Zebracat? I’m pretty sure white processed bread is the 😈 for me. I haven’t touched it since starting the MJ and I’m hoping I can maintain that habit once I come off it.

Hope the tooth isn’t causing too much pain @Crunchymum

Coventree · 21/01/2026 07:22

And 1lb off for me this week 🎉.

3lbs to healthy bmi, 7lbs to goal weight and then just see what happens. Onto my second dose of my last pen today - another 5mg and will then drop down to 2.5mg for the remainder of the pen…then go it alone 😬 (with your support, of course!)
