Official weigh day
1lb down
SW 202lbs 14st 6lbs
CW 125lbs 8st 13lbs
SBMI 36.9
CBMI 22.9
I only jabbed 2.5mls and took the jabs 10 days apart. No increase in appetite I haven't noticed any difference.
I need to gradually increase my calories over the next few months to maintain but I'm happy losing a few pounds more.

I now understand how people get eating disorders. Seeing the scales number change down is addictive. I need to get down to 120lbs and stop.
When I started I wanted to get to 11stone then 10 stone then 9 stone it is addictive! Never dreamt of being under 9 stone.

And 1lb off for me this week 🎉.

3lbs to healthy bmi, 7lbs to goal weight and then just see what happens. Onto my second dose of my last pen today - another 5mg and will then drop down to 2.5mg for the remainder of the pen…then go it alone 😬 (with your support, of course!)

Well done! You're so close!

AbundanceofKatherines · 23/01/2026 09:47

Morning LAs 😘

Weigh in day for me too. I missed last week as I was travelling and am now in the mountains for a couple of weeks with my kinder scales so the weigh in is not consistent.

The kind scales make me:

8st 7lb 21.1
4st 0.5lb loss

I think that’s enough now - but I agree @Merlin23, it’s so tempting just to see the next number. BMI of 20.9 or a couple of pounds under 8st 7 for leeway.

I can’t get over how great I feel (and look!).

My diet is so healthy now and my exercise routine is great too. I think I’ll try counting clicks to reduce from next week. I have my current pen (3 doses of 2.5 left) and 2 x 2.5 pens in the fridge. If I micro dose this should see me through til the summer.

Well done everyone - what a ride!

Happy Saturday everyone!

Thanks @Merlin23! And wow, I literally cannot imagine being that weight! You’ve done amazing…are you ready mentally to accept that stopping point of 120lbs?

Great work @AbundanceofKatherines! Love that you are now off up a mountain living your best healthy life 🌟

@Coventree I think I am.
I had a maintenance call with Oushk yesterday so I am hoping to maintain on MJ until the end of the year. I don't want to be on mj forever. But I do want to be this size. The call was really good and I've uploaded all my evidence but as the last pen I bought was October I am waiting to be quizzed more. I am now taking 2.5mg but for the first time in the journey I was really hungry last night before bed. If that continues I might need to go up to 3.75mg. 5mg still has me losing a pound a week which is nice but not really needed anymore.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Stasis26 · 24/01/2026 09:18

Happy Saturday! Well done @Coventreeso close to healthy weight and goal that’s amazing! 🎉

I’m sure I’ve said before but agree with the previous posts about the danger of enjoying the losses beyond the point of it being healthy (physically and mentally). I do worry about us inadvertently perpetuating that through celebrating each lb and cheering each other on. I feel it myself at times and keep reminding myself now on maintenance that even when it goes up by a couple of lbs that’s still great. I will also cheer you for any pounds gained once in your (own not bmi) healthy and happy range! 🥳

also let’s all remember how much of an impact height, frame, body composition and weight distribution makes. 8.5 stone is totally perfect on one person but not on another. So is 12.5 stone!

Well said @Stasis26
I am 5ft 2in so my healthy is seen as in the 8 stones but I never really believed it as I have never been close to 9 let alone under 9.
I am trying to change my mindset to change in Feb/March to full maintenance.
Having the body composition scales will help as I can see everything my body is made up of.
Every ounce lost during our journeys need to be celebrated and every week we stay within our buffer we need to celebrate as well.

Zebracat · 24/01/2026 09:27

Morning everyone and weighday for zebras. 83.5 kilos this morning, so I have lost a kilo and do feel back on track, although once again we have the hordes descending for a busy weekend . I’m just going to try and be protective of my needs, and not get derailed.
Well done to everyone at healthy weights.
Please please be wary of chasing lower numbers still though, being slim is sexy, but muscle wastage, osteoporosis and tooth loss aren’t. Sorry to be a downer.

Hello all,

Interesting last few posts (about gw being too low / losing too much). I decided at the start that my GW was 9st but now I'm almost there I'm not sure. I'm 5ft 1in so 9st is top end of healthy BMI. I want a bit of wiggle room but I don't want to take it all too far. I've been a bit off track so I'm going to look at finances / how long to revised gw / maintenance etc this coming week.

I've had a week off of jabbing due to wisdom tooth infection + AB and I've had a horrendous week food wise. Although looking at it logically it wasn't as bad as my pre MJ eating habits but still too much junk and sugar [in my "defence" I've had two DC birthdays this week so x2 lots of cake, x1 party so lots of party food and x1 meal out]

I'm going to jab tomorrow as usual and get off the sugar again. My sugar addiction is ferocious.

I'm not willing or able to come of MJ, I aim to get to gw and dial down to smaller dose for maintenance. I'm currently on 10mg .... think I'm one of the few in this group who had to go so high!!

It's been an eye opening journey for me and whilst it's done wonders for me in terms of weightloss, I'm definitely in need of further and long term support. At least I'm aware of this I suppose!!

AnonymousAnnie55 · 24/01/2026 14:22

I have just found this group and your thread and it’s amazing hearing about everyone’s journey! I’ve posted on Jan starters with other newbies, but wanted to say thanks to everyone for their honesty and dedication! I can’t wait to be nearer to my goal weight, it’s been a long time since I’ve ever been smaller and just can’t wait to feel more able and lighter! I’ve also always had issues with food/my weight/starving myself and overeating excessively! Glad I’ve finally taken the plunge to use MJ.

Also, what do you mean when you say maintenance jabs, are they a different product or just less frequent? How does it work? Will I be paying forever?!

@Crunchymum
I am 5ft 2in. My doctors say I need to be 8st 5lbs. I think between 8st 7lbs and 9st.
I had a maintenance call with Oushk yesterday and have applied for 5mg but hoping to count clicks to make pens last longer. They give you a discount for maintenance. The lady I spoke with was really good I had to weigh in (had 2 large drinks before and wore extra layers only time i wanted to weigh more 🤣) Also had to upload a before picture to show that I was obese.
I am going on the taper plan where you can go up and down the doses to find what works. Then eventually wean off but they also do one where you stay on forever. Might be worth looking at!
This is definitely the hardest stage.

BeachBodyAim · 24/01/2026 14:42

SW 17.7
CW 12.13
loss this week 1lb
total loss 4st 8lb

A 1lb loss this week - happy with that!!! And to see my weight start with a 12 is bloody fantastic!!!!
I’m now comfortably getting into size 14’s which feels amazing!!! My goal was 13 stone right at the beginning (which honestly felt totally unachievable!!!) Then I dropped it to 12.7 but I’m thinking 12 now and hopefully stick between 12 and 12.7!!!!!
I know a size 14 would feel ‘large’ for some but I feel really happy with that and I like how I look!!
Well done everyone on the NSV’s and weight losses!!!
Have a great week ☺️

Coffeeandallthebooks · 24/01/2026 17:04

Well done @BeachBodyAim , @Zebracat , @Stasis26 @AbundanceofKatherines @Merlin23 @Coventree and well done to anyone I've missed on your losses and successful maintenance!

I know what you mean about the addictive nature of WL when you've struggled so much in the past. I have never lost so much, and was griping to myself about 'only' being down a lb again, but realistically it is going to slow down. I need to adjust expectations for the last bit and for when I move into maintenance.

I am on 10mg too @Crunchymum , but I've been on every dose so far for 3 pens except the first, so hopefully won't have to go any higher

Crunchymum · 24/01/2026 17:31

@Coffeeandallthebooks

I have been on 10mg for many, many months now. Did one month on 2.5mg, x2 months on 5mg, one month on 7.5mg and have been on 10mg ever since.

Haven't needed to go any higher (touch wood) but I'm out of sync after being ill before Christmas and now having a week off. Back to it proper tomorrow!!

Coventree · 24/01/2026 18:27

Thanks @Coffeeandallthebooks!

@Crunchymum I remember me and you as being one of the only few not to feel any effect from our first few pens and moving up quite quickly, compared to everyone else on this thread (or at least that’s what it felt like!). I stopped on 7.5mg for a while but did go up to 10mg, but it never felt quite right as I’d feel nauseous after eating, so I came back down. And I’ve found the lower doses have worked just as well, whereas they didn’t seem to work going up (I’m on 2.5mg now and losing an average of 1lb per week which I’m happy with). Just thought it was worth mentioning in case you would find a lower dose just as effective…or maybe it’s a ‘me’ anomaly!

Coventree · 24/01/2026 18:33

Well done @BeachBodyAim! 👏

StartingApril2025 · 24/01/2026 20:23

Congratulations everyone! It is so good to hear of all these brilliant results , loses and maintains and general good feelings! Well done, way back in April would we ever have thought possible?!
I weighed this morning thinking id definitely be a pound heavier or stay the same but happy to report I'm down beyond my pre Christmas weight finally and lowest I’ve been. Total loss 4stone 4lbs.
still only JUST at the top of of bmi at 25.1 but realistically I can’t lose too much more I don’t think. I’m tirating down now and have that planned with my gp so if I can stay around this weight il be chuffed . Don’t get me wrong if I could lose a few more pounds and let the scales see 10 anything I’d be over the moon but don’t want to put too much pressure on.
I am definitely eating full meals now and more snacks but nowhere near what I was and calorie count each day roughly to ensure I’m not too high.
this week I noticed for the first time in months actually feeling hungry when close to meal times or in the morning which was quite the novelty as that wee switch had well and truly been switched off. Just need to keep the mindset that as I wean off il definitely feel hungry I just don’t need to panic and eat the fridge !
Have a lovely weekend everyone and hope you all reflect on how well you’ve done and are so proud of yourself!

This could be me @Crunchymum, I'm 5'2 with an unreal sugar addiction. Also on 10mg for a while now.

I still have 2 stones to lose to get to healthy BMI. My ultimate goal is 8 stone 10, my logic being that I can fluctuate 3lb either way to be between 8.7 and 8.13, I'm calling it my 'tolerance'. So when I get to my maintenance weight I've got 6lb to play with. That's my theory anyway, got to get there first.

0.9lb gain this week 😭
My first gain since April I think. Not even really sure what I've done differently. I'll try not to let it get me down, and take it as a cue to double down this week, but it's sooo annoying when I'm a 1lb a week plodder as it is.

dozywelshbird · 25/01/2026 10:18

Ah that's annoying @PumpKim but hopefully just a wee blip (could be totm/a big poo/too much salty food) and will be off at next weigh in I'm sure🤞i'm a fellow plodder so know how you feel though 😞

I've been stuck around 163-165lbs since December, obviously had Xmas and NY but scales don't seem to be moving past 163lb. I'm 5ft 6in and perimenopausal, this puts my BMI at about 27 (I think) I think for a large part of my 30s I was this weight, so I know it might be a sticking point, but any ideas how to get past this plateau? Do I go up to 10mg? I'm generally eating between 1000-1300 cals day, never really had the 'hard stop' with eating on MJ so managed meals fine (although smaller than I used to have)

Ideally I'd like to get to around 145-150lbs, but that feels so far from achievable at the moment. Any tips 😁

Merlin23 · 25/01/2026 10:22

Inspiration pictures before and this morning! After never being able to get under 11stone before this is me under 9 stone. Bigger picture I don't know weight but definitely over 13stone.

Late April ‘25 starters - thread 6
dozywelshbird · 25/01/2026 11:18

Actually that's incorrect, my BMI is 26.1 not 27 😁

Great photos @Merlin23

Crunchymum · 26/01/2026 10:36

Lovely photo's @Merlin23

Thank you for the the support ladies, as always!

Something to get me out of the funk / negativity. Yesterday I found a lovely pair of flary sports leggings in Primark and the size I purchased them in was 14-15 years (they were in the kids section!!)

I've always loved having small feet as my trainers are cheap cuz I buy kids trainers but being able to fit into kids clothes too?? I won't get too excited as they are elasticated at the waist and Primark sizing is insane but still, it cheered me up!

Merlin23 · 26/01/2026 11:55

Oushk have approved my order. So hopefully i can order every 6-8 weeks to get a supply in my fridge that will keep me going into 2027. They have approved me for 5mg but I am only taking 2.5mg so every pen I can use for micro dosing. I don't want to be on mj forever but I also want to stay on long enough for my body and brain to change forever.
Happy Monday everyone!

It may well just be where your body feels most comfortable.

Personally I moved up when I started to notice snacking / cravings / food noise increasing again. 10mg works for me so I have stuck for 5 months now but like you say I have never had the full on "I cannot eat" phenomenon - I still have my 3 meals a day but they are smaller and healthier. That said I am still managing to lose 0-5lb/1lb a week. I'd go up again if I wasn't losing for a given period. This is just my take though!

How far are you from where you want to be?
