How are you feeling today @Springbaby2023 ? Do you know how much you had left in the golden dose?

and happy early birthday

Springbaby2023 · 31/03/2026 15:14

@TaffyTabby All good thanks, last week must have been a weird anomaly in terms of side effects. I think it was around 8.25mg in the golden dose, although managed to get some air into syringe so was hard to tell exactly!

Hi all. How's things going?

I am a bit fed up, feeling so ill, got my period yesterday amd all day I felt horrendous then felt like I was gping to pass out. Awful upset stomach still now. This is typical for me really but its getting worse each month, this was the worst yet. I jabbed thurs but only 3mg so not increased or anything but awful sulphur burps too which ive only had once since starting.

Really need to eat but dont want to! It was ny son 18th party last night and I had to power through but had to keeo rushing to the toilet, so frustrating! I guess I'll get my 'buffer' weight off quickly but its not really helps it'll just go back on as soon as I eat. Maintenance will have to wait for a little while.

user593 · 04/04/2026 08:59

@SexyFrenchDepression That sounds tough, I hope you feel better soon!

We’re coming up to week two of our holiday. I jabbed the day we left and should jab today but decided against bringing it with me. I’ve lost 0.5kg/ 1.1lbs over the last week which is about 1/3rd of what I usually lose which I’m fine with. I had half a day of upset tummy/ sulphur burps. If I come out of the two weeks without having gained I’ll be happy. The hotel we’re in now doesn’t have any bathroom scales but I’m not eating anywhere near as much as I usually would and definitely making better choices. It’s still probably more than I should be eating on MJ though!

TheP1per · 04/04/2026 09:08

@SexyFrenchDepression sorry to hear you feel poorly.
I’m losing momentum a bit. Have been really slack with walking the last 3 weeks, only getting about 5000 steps a day. Also, diet isn’t great. I just don’t fancy anything with variety. I just would rather a bowl of cornflakes. Everything else I start eating, but then it makes me feel sick.
But the weight is still coming off, albeit more slowly. 21kg down, 10kg left to go.
I’m still on 5mg with no intention of moving up a dose at all, only down.

SexyFrenchDepression · 04/04/2026 09:53

@user593 I dont have a holiday till June, I think I need to mentally prepare that I will put on weight but that its fine amd I can get back on track straight after.

@TheP1per I totally get that, my diet hasnt been amazing lately, lacking in protein and probably lacking in calories but I am now a few lbs under 9 stone, BMI 21 so need to be focusing on health, strength etc which I wont achieve how I'm eating at the moment.

user593 · 04/04/2026 17:32

@SexyFrenchDepression I have another holiday in July so I’m trying to be relaxed about it. I am though curious as to what the scales will say after a week’s break not only from MJ but also from weighing myself. Unfortunately both countries, Thailand and Greece, have my favourite food 🙈

For me its always been the numerous cocktails every day on holiday 😂 although me and my friend go to Greece every year and eat soooooo much, the food is so good!

Thankfully I don’t drink (not a hard and fast rule, it just doesn’t work for me - it makes me depressed) but I do love Greek food. We go to Greece every year too, this is the first time we’ve done long haul with the kiddos!

Springbaby2023 · 06/04/2026 09:34

@SexyFrenchDepression hope you’re feeling better now?

@user593 hope you enjoy week two of the holiday!

And that everyone had a lovely Easter.

I’ve had a week off calorie counting, weighing and exercising and I’ve gained 2lb, I’m not too disappointed as I easily fluctuate that much in a week anyway. In a weird way it’s given me more confidence about coming off it as it’s showed me that actually the calorie tracking and exercising have been helping just as much as the jab. Jabbed a day late last night and I’ve done 8mg from a 10mg pen, didn’t want to go up to 10mg after a week of not eating great in case it brought on more side effects.

@Springbaby2023 still not much better, less dizzy spells but stomach is awful if I eat or drink, only hit target weight a week or so again and lost 4lbs since due to being ill. This wasnt the plan 🙈 I have doctors weds to discuss it all, potential perimenopause etc. I did jab the day before so perhaps it hadnt coincided with my periods that closely before so not sure if that's what caused this. 5 months in and not increasing dose would be odd for it to be the mounjaro! I have some lovely birthday cake I would really like to enjoy so hopefully I feel better soon!

Sorry you are feeling so rough. It sounds horrible. I agree that it seems unlikely to be side effects after all this time and no dose increase.

What are the dizzy spells like? Could it be some sort of vertigo?

I suddenly feel all clammy and that I could pass out, I have had vertigo before and was treated for it and its not like that, more light-headedness really I guess. My mum used to pass out with her periods all the time, I have never been like that till this last year or so, definitely worse on MJ but not sure if thats a coincidence as they were getting worse prior to that.

I do feel slightly better tonight, I have been able to eat (just had all carbs though as it was the only thing I could stomach) and so far so good 🤞

user593 · 07/04/2026 08:28

How are you feeling today @SexyFrenchDepression?

NSV as I won’t be having any SVs on holiday 😅 I’ve been to the hotel spa twice (salt scrub and mud wrap - divine!) and the robes fit!

Much better today thank you! I am so relieved.

Ooh, I could definitely do with a spa treatment soon!!

Excellent NSV! Sounds amazing there too. The pleasure in having things fit is really not to be underestimated is it?

Glad you are feeling better. It does sound like it could be hormonal. Hope GP can run some useful tests and/or make a diagnosis.

I started meds for high blood pressure a couple of years back - which worked and brought BP back to normal. In the last couple of months, I’ve had a lightheaded feeling when I get up quickly or when I bend down. I am wondering if I no longer need the meds and the feeling (which is like when you are going to faint) is due to BP now being low(er).

EducatingRosemary · 07/04/2026 22:53

Made it to my target today 🙌

Thanks, I hope they can do something!

I tend to have quite low blood pressure anyway so I imagine that doesnt help with how I have been. Thats really interesting re your blood pressure, I wonder if the meds are making it too low now then.

user593 · 07/04/2026 23:09

@EducatingRosemary Congratulations! That’s amazing. I’m also on BP meds and whilst my BP was coasting just under the upper limit previously it’s now bang on normal (on the meds). I spoke to my GP before I went on holiday and they said they’re happy with where it is right now but if it drops below x consistently to make another appointment. Do you have a home BP machine so you can track your readings?

tobee · 08/04/2026 01:02

Went to see my dad at the weekend and went upstairs where my mum, who is still in hospital, had told me to get my birthday presents (was over a month ago) and Easter presents for the family. Easter presents were chocolates and 1 of my birthday presents was a box of chocolate truffles. I wasn’t that bothered by the chocolate over the weekend and all in all only had 3 mini eggs over Easter. However, today is jab day and my suppression was very low. I ate 4 chocolate truffles just tonight! Oh well….

Hope everyone is feeling better/having good holidays/had good easter weekends!

tobee · 08/04/2026 01:02

Congratulations @EducatingRosemary

TaffyTabby · 08/04/2026 09:54

Wow @EducatingRosemary amazing! 26% lost is incredible.

I’m currently -17%

I ate quite a bit of chocolate and my fave hot cross buns over the weekend but I’m not stressing about it. Trying to get back to more protein and fibre now.

My NSV is that my biceps are much more noticeable - hubby agrees ha. I think mostly cause there’s less fat over them but maybe my strength work outs are paying off too ?!

tobee · 08/04/2026 14:11

Oh my god I completely forgot to have a hot cross bun!! Still got some left I think. Is forgetting having one an NSV? 🤔😀
