Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we hurtle towards Christmas proudly wearing Crimbo jumpers without fear of looking enormous, look for slinky party dresses on vinted and for the first time, willingly take part in ALL of the festive photos🥰

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and new stone brackets!
I’m on W55 D2 and on w6 (and final dose) of 3.75mg before moving onto 2.5mg.
F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 6.8lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far 61.0 lbs (at 9st 6.0)
We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🤗

Thanks for thread. You’re a marvel.

Thank you for the thread - and the Tu coat recommendation! In the meantime I spotted https://www.asos.com/asos-design/asos-design-tipped-faux-fur-coat-in-blue-and-brown/prd/208935489#colourWayId-208935502 and www.asos.com/asos-design/asos-design-longline-faux-fur-belted-jacket-in-chocolate/prd/209262098#colourWayId-209262114 neither of which meet my original criteria. However, had also had a conversation with DH where he suggested that I have a furry coat as an early Christmas present, so might not have to stick to the £50 limit after all.

Wow 15 whole threads of chat, amazing.
And I'm back in the room after basically missing the last thread.

Coming up to a 2 month plateau here but it's all fine, I'm not really trying too hard as I'm relatively happy with how I am now at BMI 25.5 (around the lowest I've ever been), and will then probably try and drop some more from January. Been on 10mg for a while and don't seem to respond very strongly to it.

Current stats at 160cm:
SW 13st 3lb
CW 10st 4lb
GW let's say 9st 10lb

Ooh a shiny new thread for Christmas 🎉🎄. We had the first summer in ages where I haven’t avoided being in photographs and now the first Christmas.

@Oceangrey my weight loss is now a snails pace but I going to plod along with 10mg as suppression is still good. I have up my exercise so probably building up muscles as well but at least I am not putting weight on.

random223 · 26/11/2025 00:36

Thanks for the new thread @Mounjaropen

My starting stats for the thread:

Week 55

Height: 5 foot 3.5
SW: 14st
GW: 9 st 7 (may update to 9st)
CW: 9 st 5

I have taken my last 7.5mg dose and now aiming to drop down to 6.25mg.

lovealongbath · 26/11/2025 02:06

Morning all
monthly weigh in on 4.8mg dose
week 54
SW 18st 4.3lbs
CW 13 stone 11.1
Loss this month is 2lbs
Total loss so far, 4 stone 7lbs
I have lost 25% of my starting weight
SBMI 43
CBMI 33.

its been 4 weeks since I checked in, losing on average half a lb per week.
I am bizarrely happy and content with this pace of loss.

Gone are the days when it was a race to lose as quickly as possible.

Even although I am still heavier than some of your starting weights a year ago, I would be quite content to stay around this weight. I don’t want my face and neck to get any thinner.
I am enjoying my limited new wardrobe and want to wear these new clothes throughout the winter. I really don’t want to be buying the next size down until spring.

i am getting lots of compliments from friends, clients and colleagues which is nice, but I’m not one for drawing attention to myself and I just feel at the moment everyones comments is inadvertently making my weight loss the centre of all conversations.

Keep up the maintenance or loss, we can do this! 💪

Yes I did remind myself this morning to still weigh regularly to check it's not going up!

I've been musing on set points. This is around the weight I was all through uni and at various other points. I wonder if I could be staying here because my body has never been lower, is that a thing?

Or it's just that calories needed and taken in have reached an equilibrium and I need to eat less!

Or both I guess.

Keep going. Have you gone Back to basics? Monitor your macros, protein intake, water intake and check you are genuinely moving more than the calories you are taking on board..a 3500 calorie deficit across a week to lose a lb is actually quite hard even with or without MJ, This time last year we weren’t eating as much crap or consuming mindless calories which made a 3500 deficit quite easy. This year, (especially if you are titrating down or on maintenance) not so much!

I think the Times might well be like FB and is listening to us all… here is a curiously well- timed and helpful article from this morning’s paper… lots of Narnia options for you! 😉

Is anyone else seeing Oushk Maintenance Plan ads? I have clicked one and seen quite an enticing offer for different types of maintenance, but when I log into my Oushk account I don’t see anything that looks like a plan, there’s just the normal set of consultation forms to order a new pen. Am I missing something?

Yes it’s a ball ache their website. I think you just click on existing patient maybe?

I have tried that - my last pen order went via the Existing Patient flow, despite me looking for a maintenance option. (And speaking of ballaches - why do they ask for proof of height every time? That’s ain’t changing.) Which is why the ads have flummoxed me!

Maybe I need to contact customer service.

I’ve had this too! A pain with height and photo each time (at least I just use a screenshot from the NHs app). Let me know if you can figure it out

Thanks for the shiny new festive thread @Mounjaropen

Checking in with a recap

SW: 16 stone 7lbs
GW: 11 stone ish 🎉
CW: 10 stone 8lbs
1st Stretch GW: 10 stone 7lbs (I now have an eye on 10 stone)

Total loss since starting MJ: 5 stone 13lbs (a smidgen under 6 stone).
Total loss since my highest ever weight: More than 9 stone 7lbs (I stopped weighing myself at 20 stone until I started sorting things out).

Height 5ft 6 (but may be shrinking)
(I used to be 168cm. Then the GP measured me as 166cm back in May, then at a BUPA check up in October they measured me as 164cm, and for some reason when the BUPA results were recorded onto my NHS data they transferred it across as 154cm 🤔) (I suspect it’s only a matter of time until I’ll be the size of a Borrower).

Marking my place in the shiny new thread! Thanks @Mounjaropen

Talking of Christmas and festive frocks, I spent a lovely hour perusing the HURR website last night for a black tie event that I may or may not need to attend (depends on whether my friends husband makes it home from deployment in time!). How nice it was to look for a posh frock to rent in a size 10/12! Very tempted to hire a Vampire's Wife number or something totally outlandish!

Oh I love The Vampire’s Wife! So sad they are no longer trading (seems a tragic story regarding its background). I remember discovering the brand after seeing Villanelle rocking a fabulous dress in Killing Eve. I’ve never bought anything from there sadly.

RayonSunrise · 26/11/2025 20:09

I aspired to The Vampire’s Wife, too - so chic and distinctive. Have you noticed that there are quite a few brands who’ve done versions of their dress shape this year? Aspiga has one in velvet, so does The Finery - high neck, princess lines, fluted sleeves. Probably without any of the actual structure of the real thing, though!

I would love to try one on, but I suspect TVW is cut narrower through the shoulders than I am. If you rent one pls report back on fit, @SerenePeer!

Liberty have a few dresses which seem to be following the design too, and if you google The Vampire’s Wife dress (not The Vampire Diaries which my phone keeps trying to do) (clearly signs of a misspent time in my 20s 🤣) in the shopping bit of google even M&S and Next seem to have added some similar vibe dresses!

Anyone else trying and failing to resist the lure of Black Friday deals? I’ve been waiting and waiting for Trinny London and they’ve finally got the early access for existing customers so I’ve stocked up on some things I need (was running on vapours for the Plump Up and Bounce Back). Am also tempted to get some more bits from Nutrition Geeks. I’ve run out of the Willpowders collagen and it’s quite pricey, I had a bag from Nutrition Geeks super cheap when I was buying some other stuff a while back (magnesium, meno bundle stuff) and have braved using it for the past week or two. Willpowders is great in that it truly doesn’t have an odour in the packet, whereas Nutrition Geeks does, but the N Geeks does actually blend very well into a coffee. And it’s a lot cheaper.

I also finally got that trench coat I’ve been coveting for months from Scamp and Dude. Read that it runs large so I ordered the 10/12 (allegedly S/M) (the XS 6/8 out of stock but I would never imagine that anyway). It’s still far too big sadly so has to go back. Swathes of material. Faintly ridiculous.

I’m still cross about the demise of excellent brands like The Vampire’s wife (and to a certain extent Cefinn) following the demise of the retailer Matches and only after it was acquired by Frasers (sports direct). It did seem like a calculated measure to knock out the competition for their existing ‘luxury’ retailer Flannels (who now never seem to have any actual current pieces)…but they didn’t do the honorable thing and pay the suppliers despite having a huge behemoth of a business behind it that could afford to do so. Shameful behaviour. I’ve always shopped at Karen Millen since it first opened and I’m still aggrieved at being forced to do business with them tbh.
