Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we hurtle towards Christmas proudly wearing Crimbo jumpers without fear of looking enormous, look for slinky party dresses on vinted and for the first time, willingly take part in ALL of the festive photos🥰

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and new stone brackets!
I’m on W55 D2 and on w6 (and final dose) of 3.75mg before moving onto 2.5mg.
F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 6.8lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far 61.0 lbs (at 9st 6.0)
We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🤗

Morning all! This week’s weigh-in sees me holding steady at 63.5kg, which is interesting as at one point (Weds AM) I had dipped to 62.8 - not a massive shift, but enough to indicate I’m still losing weight give or take a bit of water retention. It may have just been a blip but I’ll keep my eye on it. I jabbed yesterday and am feeling very un-hungry today - which I need to manage a bit, as I’m planning to run at lunch and know I benefit from fuelling before I head out. And I am trying not to fast in the morning anymore to keep my weight from continuing to drop!

I am meeting a friend for Christmas drinks tonight. What to wear? Thinking maybe my velvety-looking burgundy cords and a burgundy Sézane blouse with metallic gold threads, Prada burgundy boots and my newly Vinted maroon coat. Shame it’s going to rain all evening, my hair can turn into quite the frizz bomb in the damp.

RayonSunrise · 05/12/2025 09:54

Excellent NSV with the wrap blouse, @TooExtraImmatureCheddar. That’s exactly the kind of thing that’s kept my spirits up, too. 😁

Della82 · 05/12/2025 10:06

Weekly update from me 71.5kg this morning (down 0.3 since last week). I did eat pasta last night 🙈
I have worked out twice in the last week, so need to focus more on that this week.
definitely think I’m getting more hair regrowth which is a relief!
aiming to focus more on fibre intake 😁 I didn’t miss the poo challenges on my break from mounjaro 😂😂
Happy Friday everyone and well done on all the great results!
need to take an unflattering photo so I can buy another pen 😂😂

PinkArt · 05/12/2025 10:13

Weighing in.

W57D7
SW: 19st 9lbs
CW:13st 13lbs
1st GW: 17st 13lbs
2nd GW 15st 4lbs
3rd GW: 13st 9lbs
TL: 5st 10lb

No change this week. My body seems to be fully committed to 'weight loss isn't linear' at the moment - it's all plateaus or wooshes - so I just need it to also commit to a pre Christmas woosh.

Morning all
monthly weigh in on 4.8mg dose
week 54
SW 18st 4.3lbs
CW 13 stone 11.1
Loss this month is 2lbs
Total loss so far, 4 stone 7lbs
I have lost 25% of my starting weight
SBMI 43
CBMI 33.

its been 4 weeks since I checked in, losing on average half a lb per week.
I am bizarrely happy and content with this pace of loss.

Gone are the days when it was a race to lose as quickly as possible.

Even although I am still heavier than some of your starting weights a year ago, I would be quite content to stay around this weight. I don’t want my face and neck to get any thinner.
I am enjoying my limited new wardrobe and want to wear these new clothes throughout the winter. I really don’t want to be buying the next size down until spring.

i am getting lots of compliments from friends, clients and colleagues which is nice, but I’m not one for drawing attention to myself and I just feel at the moment everyones comments is inadvertently making my weight loss the centre of all conversations.

Keep up the maintenance or loss, we can do this! 💪

Edited

That's great! I am similar to you in I am just over a year in, starting weight was 18 stone 12, current weight is 13 stone 10, not sure what my goal weight is - maybe around the 11 stone 8 mark. BMI calcs say I should be 11 stone 3 to be top of normal range but as you say I don't want to end up gaunt! I spent quite a lot of my late teens to mid twenties at about 11 stone 3 with a blip down to 10 stone 7 ish (only achieved by stupid crash diet - about 500 cals a day!).

For various reasons, from late 20s to early 30s I was mid 14 stone, then it just kept piling on. When I started MJ, I was the heaviest I had ever been. I had a big stall when I got to 15 stone and again to just above 14 but it seems to be coming back off now.

Re dose - I am on 10 (have been for months), I counted clicks to get up to 12.5 for three weeks to see how that was (due to stall) but it just made me feel a bit ill, so came back to 10.

I had food noise return so tried injecting on Day 5 this week - crazy suppression and nausea and I have lost 2lbs this week so effective I think, and a strategy to keep in the bank for when I'm struggling again. Going to revert to every 7 days again next week.

Keep on buggering on! We are all doing so well. I have 2lbs to lose and then I wave goodbye to the Obese category in the BMI calculator (not that I really rate it as a measurement, my waist is under half my height now, and my cholesterol has improved so much that the doctor has stopped prescribing statins!)

Happy Friday lovely death jabbers 🌻

TheSlimmingPumpkin · 05/12/2025 13:23

@itsnotagameshow that great news about not needing statins any more.

So this morning I weighed 10 stone and 0.5lb / 63.72kg. Fingers crossed I will break the 10 stone next week. It’s been a long time coming. I would also like a pre-Christmas whoosh @PinkArt so fingers crossed.

I have discussed a taper plan with Oushk and uploaded photographic evidence of my stash so that they know when it comes to 7.5mg I have plenty of those. Obviously I am assuming that I will be able to taper and maintain at a lower dose.

Met another friend for coffee during the week (not the interrogator nor the interrogator’s assistant) and she just straight out asked if I am using MJ 🙀 I stuck to my tried and tested diversion denial method. I am now imagining they are taking it in turns like a new attack method 🤔 I hate being the centre of any weight discussion @lovealongbath and i am hoping it will die down in the new year. However they have a lot of group photos of the morbidly obese me

TheSlimmingPumpkin · 06/12/2025 09:55

so the household birthday / wedding/ Christmas season is now well underway. It kicked off last weekend with the Bath Christmas market with my sister (lots of booze etc) followed by a birthday meal at our local Ivy last night. For some reason most of the family have December / January birthdays. Family wedding next weekend.

Just got to remember that I got through this period last year whilst losing weight. Luckily we are not hosting this year so I don’t have to stock up on a huge number of snacks and treats for the just in case moments but that might change depending upon New Year plans.

Just purchased a 10mg pen from Bolt for £200 including postage as a new customer. Hopefully it will be my last 10mg purchase. My Oushk chat suggested the taper plan and they know I have a 7.5 mg stash to work through once I start maintenance probably Jan/Feb

Cantbesure · 06/12/2025 12:08

@RayonSunrise that sounds like a fabulous outfit. Hope you had a lovely time. I’m on my way into town to meet a friend for a theatre trip. I still struggle with what to wear.

check in from me:
30 weeks on MJ
24 weeks off the jab
SW 147lbs
CW 111lbs
so this weekend I’m a pound down. I’ve not consciously done anything differently. So it’s just a normal fluctuation.

jay55 · 06/12/2025 13:50

I’ve stayed at 79.5 for a few days, delighted to not have bounced back out straight away.
Took three bin bags of clothes down to the charity bin, all my jeans and old winter dresses. Determined not to ever be that size again, and I just don’t want to see fat people clothes around the place.

72toolbelt · 06/12/2025 14:19

Ive been on 2.5 for a month and now up to 5 but ive been getting in at night and eating like a starved bear 😂 Im a builder and just wondering if this is the norm on 5 as im thinking of jumping to 7.5.
Only as im 53 and starting to check in on myself and loose 3 stone for the obvious benefits. Has anyone else have this on 5 or is the higher doses more common ??

Mounjaropen · 06/12/2025 14:57

RayonSunrise · 04/12/2025 08:29

Can only echo Mounjaropen’s comment about habitual exercise and good nutritional habits. We all want things to improve quickly, but most good things are achieved sustainably over time.

Speaking of which - I can now really feel all my hair regrowth when I run my fingers along my scalp! While it’s annoying to see all the little baby hairs poking up when I’m in strong light, I know it’s temporary on the way to getting all my hair back!

Was out for my team Christmas lunch yesterday and enjoyed a bit of culinary indulgence (carbs, fats, meat, booze!), which has lead to the scale creeping upwards slightly this morning. I have NO concerns about this - yesterday’s scale check indicated I may be losing weight still so at this rate I really do have leeway for a bit of seasonal indulgence.

Over the past few months I’ve rediscovered the Kibbe system, found it really useful, then spent too much time on Reddit and now find it intensely irritating. Has anyone else had this experience?

I’ve got the same sticky up hairs plus a mini fringe at the moment which has served to remind me why I ditched having a fringe 😂 well done on enjoying the Xmas do!

Welcome! I think you need to look at your macros in the first place rather than up the dosage . A high protein/lower carb diet will leave you feeling fuller for longer and avoid sugar spikes which bring on the urge to eat everything in sight. What is your diet like? How is your water intake?

Update from me (I was on a plane yesterday)
Weight 132.2 - same as last week 💪
Step count up this week after making the house Christmassy 🥰

I’m in Dublin this weekend, just had an enjoyable couple of hours in Brown Thomas perusing all the clothes and have just bought the Victoria Beckham foundation (and concealer and contour stick). It’s lush (so it bloody should be for the price 😂) had an amazing brunch which included a spicy margarita and a Bailey’s hot chocolate... was delish. I’m out later at a trendy taco as place before watching DD perform in a concert so looking forward to that.

Hope everyone has something lovely planned for the weekend!

Flipping amazing work, @Goldleafcatand @jay55! @PinkArt your time will come, don’t worry!

@RayonSunrise i can see visible hair regrowth too, thank goodness! I don’t think it’s just that my scalp is less visible in the darkest days of winter. I hope. But I really do think it’s better. And touch wood, I’m not shedding such alarming clumps of hair in the shower.

Went out tonight in a blouse that I used to wrap around and tie at the front, but I could only just tie it. Now there is a whole proper bow!

Hi death jabbing friends!

What a week. Two work Christmas events - much easier to manage on death jabs though. I enjoyed the lovely food, but felt no urge to overdo it. However, have been feeling a bit off... Went to see my GP yesterday and boom! SHINGLES. I don't have time for this, and it's bloody annoying/painful. It also impacts my fitness regime and I'm praaaaaaying that I'm better in time for our holiday at end of next week...

In better news, I bought a pair of Levi's in a 29 inch waist. That cheered me up no end.

Have a lovely weekend, everyone!
