Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we hurtle towards Christmas proudly wearing Crimbo jumpers without fear of looking enormous, look for slinky party dresses on vinted and for the first time, willingly take part in ALL of the festive photos🥰

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and new stone brackets!
I’m on W55 D2 and on w6 (and final dose) of 3.75mg before moving onto 2.5mg.
F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 6.8lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far 61.0 lbs (at 9st 6.0)
We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🤗

Hmm. I wonder if there is actually a “Conti plan?” Is anyone successfully on it?

It does seem to be advertised everywhere (I’m looking at an ad here right now, in fact!)

Della82 · 28/11/2025 09:54

Sorry I’ve been AWOL again! So impressed with everyone.

I’ve had some work meals out so not been the best behaved. Am at 71.8kg so down 3.2 from my highest since I stopped.
I injected with 4 on Wednesday and will try to stay on 4 over December

aiming to get back to 67kg, and am going to buy a pen in the Black Friday Oushk offer.

what do people do to evidence their height?

Happy Friday everyone x

Mounjaropen · 28/11/2025 07:40

Aww that it charming. I did wear one of her rainbow sequinned dress to a wedding years ago… only for DH to refer to it as my ‘skittles dress’ 😂

How dare he! I've got her plates and a jug. They're so joyful.

PinkArt · 28/11/2025 10:39

Weighing in.

W56D7
SW: 19st 9lbs
CW:13st 13lbs
1st GW: 17st 13lbs
2nd GW 15st 4lbs
3rd GW: 13st 9lbs
TL: 5st 10lb

What a skinny bitch!!! In the 13s - not seen those for a decade - and my visceral fat has dropped to 12, so just one off normal now. 🥳

Four pounds to my next interim goal. It's definitely doable in four normal weeks, I'll just have to stay focused to make sure it is in four pre-Christmas weeks!

Morning all, happy Friday!

SW: 93kg (14 st 6)
CW: 68.8 kg (10st 4)
BMI: 20.4

… so like @evilharpy my “maintenance” dose reduction still has me losing weight, albeit slowly. I stopped 16h fasts a while ago, and I am pretty happy with my daily breakfasts (skyr or Greek yoghurt with collagen, blueberries, homemade granola with lots of nuts & seeds), so maybe I’ll add some more protein calories at lunch next. It’s all about finding balance!

Another observation: I am now at an age where weight loss is starting to affect my bottom. Which probably sounds obvious, but I’ve always had a fairly rounded bottom that was the last place I’d lose weight. Now it’s looking distinctly skinny. I am reminded of when I hired a PT a few years ago and one of his first questions was if I wanted to “grow my glutes.” At the time I thought that was hilarious, because as a child of the 80s all I wanted was to lose weight everywhere!

Now I think I might actually have to grow my glutes. 😂

My arse used to be able to block out sunlight! Now it’s just boney 😂. I still look at gaps between restaurants and pubs and think with my (old size 20/22) arse and stomach I will never squeeze through that gap.

TheSlimmingPumpkin · 28/11/2025 10:45

A new stone level klaxon for @PinkArt

📣🔔📣🔔📣🔔📣🔔📣🔔🥂🍾🎉

(very jealous as I want a new stone klaxon I am close but it won’t happen this week 😄 )

If the NHS has it recorded on your app, take a screenshot of that. Else I hung a tape measure off the top of the door frame and took a full length picture using that. They’d have to zoom in, but that’s not my problem!

Thanks for the new thread!

SW 16st 10lbs
CW 9st 5lbs
BMI 21

Have been on 7.5mg every 9 days but moving down to 5mg every 9 days from next jab. Am slightly hungrier when it's approaching lunchtime or dinnertime but not really getting any food noise.

Really can't afford to lose much more weight, either physically or financially. I can't replace yet another load of jeans, and my bony shoulders are visible through jumpers.

Someone posted a thead yesterday about what is your height and weight and what size are you, so interesting to see the vast range of sizes that people of the same height and weight can be.

I’m a similar weight to you (9st 6) and 5’5”. You must look like a completely different woman!

OP posts:
evilharpy · 28/11/2025 11:36

@Mounjaropen haha yeah I know I do - my normal weight tends to hover around 11st so I'm right at the top of a healthy BMI and I know I look vastly different even between that weight and my current weight. I don't have the hollow cheeks at 11st, although I do still have bony shoulders!

Mounjaropen · 28/11/2025 13:01

TheSlimmingPumpkin · 28/11/2025 07:58

DH has ‘banned’ me from buying more sports kit 😂 How many running jackets do I need? I need to top up with some Trinny London. And Hobbs keep sending me messages 😂

I am now 5lbs off goal weight and so in all likelihood will go onto maintenance sometime in January. Think i will choose Pharmulous for maintenance as they are cheaper than Oushk.

Happy Friday! I am off to the Christmas Market in Bath today for some mulled wine 🍷

Have a lovely time! DH and I are off for a boozy lunch which will be nice. Personally, I don’t think you could have too many running jackets.😂 good luck with those last five lbs!

Thanks I’ll try that! Not sure my height is in NHS app!

Cantbesure · 29/11/2025 11:13

Ooh a new thread. I love how many of us are still here, logging and supporting each other.

@Della82 bizarrely my height is in the NHS from me providing it to an MJ provider. It’s all a bit circular!

update from me, it’s now 30 weeks on MJ and 23 weeks off. I’m still at my target weight, having fluctuated a bit over the past month. I think perhaps one of the biggest changes has been recognising I don’t need to eat a full meal if I’m not hungry, just because it’s dinner time. So last night I had a slice of cheese on toast piled with mushrooms, tomatoes, spring onions etc. in the past I’d have had a full meal even though I didn’t need it.

I am a bit envious of those of you with tiny BMIs of 21 but I’d have to lose another 9lbs to get there and that would take me back to what I weighed at about 16/17. I’m not sure that’s possible without the support of MJ and I’ve already got loose skin. It’s not my priority for now, my focus is on maintaining and building up my fitness. I’ve booked a half marathon in March that I want to be fit for.

SW: 147lbs BMI 30
CW: 111lbs BMI 22.5

MsRumpole · 29/11/2025 16:18

Checking in! Keeping quiet because I have stalled a bit. I ordered 3 pens at 7.5mg before prices went up and I think I should go up a dose if I want to lose more weight. Which I do, but going up a dose is always hideous and I am really having to nerve myself up to it. Taking last 7.5mg dose tonight and then will order a 10mg and see how it goes.

Mounjaropen · 29/11/2025 16:38

Well done with your fantastic maintenance! Gosh another 9lbs would take you to just over 7 stones.. that is tiny indeed. I look back to my 18 year old self and think 8st 7lbs would mean my BMI was 19.3.. and I thought I was fat 😳

I've just ordered another 5.0mg pen to take me into the new year before the inevitable rush starts....re: dosage can you go up to 8.75 first? It might limit the side effects?

Sorry for the spelling errors, I have cataracts. I'm starting 2.5 next week as I have stage 3 kidney failure. Any concerns I should have? Dr is fine, I just wondered if anyone else was doing the same

Goldleafcat · 29/11/2025 16:55

Ooh thank you @Mounjaropenfor the recommendation for the TU Morris & Co PJs, I got the navy ones in a size 14 and an aspirational ‘just in case’ size 12, they arrived today and the 12 fit! 🎉

Edited

Stage 3 isn't an issue, to the best of my knowledge but it might depend which end of it you're at. I think it's only more severe cases that would rule you out. I have stage 3 A, but with a reading of 59, so only just into stage 3.
If you look through the prescribing criteria questions with one of the pharmacies it should let you know.

KentishMama · 29/11/2025 18:08

I thought I was the only one who just can't make sense of the Oushk system. I think I might be on the Conti plan, or maybe not. I should have an order coming end of next week but it's showing as in progress and I can't tell if I need a verification call or not. I had one in August and they said you only need them every six months... We shall see. I still have a couple of stockpiled pens anyway, so it's not urgent.

Other than that: Checking in. Stable at goal weight of 67.5 kg, BMI 22.3. Getting ready to go skiing in two weeks, so I'm doing a lot of exercise at home and the gym, but still don't feel I'm fit enough!

Dallasdays · 29/11/2025 18:15

Hello everyone. Congrats to everyone on the weight loss! I am keen to start MJ as have struggled to lose weight and it is just going up and up (peri). I am about 11.5 stone, 5 ft 3. None of my old clothes fit. I am exercising regularly, but it isn’t having any impact. Would anyone be able to give me a bit of advice on how to get started? Where best to order the MJ from and how do I work out the starting dose. I am not looking to get it on NHS. Many thanks for any help.

Am I right in thinking that 40 clicks on a 7.5 pen equals a 5 dose? I’ve jabbed that amount tonight dropping down from 7.5 to see how it goes.

welcome! I used MedExpress at the beginning and found them to be very efficient. Use https://monj.co.uk/mounjaro-price-comparison-by-monj/ to work out what suits your purse best, you’ll usually get £40 or so off your first order. Oushk works best approaching maintenance but there are other suppliers that offer a similar service. Oushk is a bit clunky and they’ll charge you for your consultation.

Starting dose for everyone is 2.5mg no one should be offering you anything other than that. Download the Shotsy app to keep a track of your injection site. Get yourself a set of smart scales (Renpho are reasonable and around £30) to keep a track of your weight losses. Focus on eating at least 1g of protein per kg of body weight. You need to move so choose a form of exercise they you enjoy doing. If possible try and lift weights. Good luck! We’re here to help if you need any support.
