Heavens! Thread 6!!
I love this group. You all feel real…
I never set a target weight but I’d like to be BMI 22.5.
Not yet. Sigh.

Jumping in to the new thread from my persistent sodding plateau!!

Maybe if we both jump lots @Tinybirdie we might move on from our plateaus!

Hello all, so great to hear all these NSV!

I have been bobbing around 10 stone 6 hence lack of updates but i think I’ve unintentionally moved into maintenance despite going up to 7.5mg this month as I’ve been eating more sweets (damn you Halloween!) and found it harder to keep the protein up and the carbs down due to holidays/life/alcohol etc.

But there us less lived up for the next couple of weeks so I am going to refocus before enjoying Christmas. I have a golden dose left in my 7.5mg pen and have a 5mg pen which was intended to be my last but I am now thinking of buying one or two more to see me into Feb.

I bought myself a new pair of Seven For All Mankind jeans as my current ones are about to give up the ghost so I think the investment means 10 stone 5 might be right for me rather than trying to get to my aspirational goal weight on 10 stone 2!!

Keep on keeping on my lovelies. I have been lurking and celebrating your wins with you despite my silence recently!

MissMogs · 18/11/2025 06:34

Argh. Injection day today and the half a kilo I’d been carefully losing all week has come back on so now my Shotsy graph looks flatlined ☹️ A whoosh would have been nice!!

Crinklecat · 18/11/2025 07:04

I think my plateau is finally gone, movement is slow but it’s gone down the last few days despite starting my period today. I have been drinking more water so not sure if that’s helped as I’d got really bad. I actually didn’t have dinner last night so hoping my suppression is back, but I’ve got a lot of stress at the moment so could have just been that, who knows but I’m glad the scales are moving again.

healthjourney · 18/11/2025 07:35

Hi, thanks for the new thread. Im excited that this might be the thread when I get to target! Im still slowly heading in the right direction, 11st 2 today which is 3st loss. It feels like the last 7lbs has made so much difference to my size and shape though which is great. I bought a gorgeous zara dress in a medium on vinted, it arrived yesterday and fits perfectly 😍
6lbs to a healthy bmi, 9lbs to my goal weight. I still need to be patient and keep going but it feels acheivable

RussianDoll76 · 18/11/2025 08:17

Morning all . Not much time to post but love seeing how everyone is doing. New thread and great to see how far we have all come . Hoping during this thread I will reach target but my body feels like it’s holding on to fat for dear life 😂. Happy Tuesday everyone !!

IndigoBabble · 18/11/2025 10:21

Thanks for the new thread. Still 10st 6 today. I’m on what was to be my last pen starting today but just ordered another one. Hoping to get below 10st and then try and maintain. I can’t afford to keep taking it for ever.

RatherTardy · 18/11/2025 12:35

Just checking in.

Thank you for the new thread @FoxRedPuppy

MissMogs · 18/11/2025 16:03

Well my experience with Numan so far is NOT positive. They asked about the gap in ordering which is fair enough as I stocked up in August, so I sent them a photo of the boxes showing the prescription labels. I got excited when I got a notification to say the prescription had been approved. Well, lucky I checked as they only prescribed 10mg - when I ordered 15mg!! I’ve now spent ages waiting to chat to an actual human not their AI bot, and thankfully they’ve been able to cancel the delivery and have refunded me, but now it’s had to go back to their clinical team for another review. Very stressful as for a while there I’d been charged quite a lot of money for something I didn’t order! And I still don’t know whether they’ll send the pen I did order…

Jumping in to the new thread from my persistent sodding plateau!!

I like the framing of this.

The plateau IS indeed solid, unmoving ground from which to take a leap.

Hello everyone. I'm about to tuck into a 686-calorie, 49g-protein evening meal that may as well be a 2000-calorie blow out for all the impact I expect it will have on my UNSHIFTABLE HEFT.

It's nice to join you all over here... ;-)

I have been drinking more water so not sure if that’s helped as I’d got really bad. I actually didn’t have dinner last night so hoping my suppression is back, but I’ve got a lot of stress at the moment so could have just been that, who knows but I’m glad the scales are moving again.

I am wondering if stress and lack of water and sleep are sustaining my plateau.

I am wildly busy at work, working from maybe 7.30am to 11pm, then I'm not sleeping.

I find it really easy to drink litres of water when I'm at my desk, but I've been out and about a fair bit recently, and it goes to pot if I'm not deskbound.

That's my new cope. When I break up for Christmas and I'm not stressed, 4 stone will whoosh off me.

You watch.

Edited because I forgot to say - well done for getting off the plateau! You are the chosen one, and we salute you.

SomethingAboutYou · 18/11/2025 21:08

Wooop well done everyone! Hope the plateaus go away soon, but I will be happy to plateau over xmas!!

I lost a tiny amount last week and the one thing I did differently was drink loads of water! This week hasn't been as successful so far with my water intake and I think the scales reflect it.

Interestingly though, I've been sat around 14st - 14st 3 for a few weeks and saw 13st 13lbs last week for a couple of days, but my size 18 jeans have started to feel quite loose, even after a wash. I'm also starting to pick up size 16 tops automatically and have needed to size down to 14 in generous shops 🥳 I've ordered the exact same jeans in a size down so I'm sure that will humble me when it's far too tight 😅 look forward to trying them though 😊 things seemed to have changed even during the plateau 🤷‍♀️

Picalilylou · 18/11/2025 21:54

Hello new thread! I'm also at a plateau, a lot of us seem to be in it together. 2st loss in total so really happy, but another 2st to go to target.

Realistically I got fed up of tracking every single calorie and have eaten to my appetite, which is still lower than pre MJ. So I've basically been maintaining for a month and not losing.

I have been on 5mg so far, so just going up to 7.5mg to see if I can kick-start things a bit.

I don't mind a long and slow approach, so I'm sort of ok with maintaining until new year as I have lots of social meals planned etc. But a little more loss would be a bonus!

Crinklecat · 19/11/2025 07:01

To everyone having a plateau, keep at it. I’m really hoping I’ve broken my more than month long one. I’ve lost nearly 3lbs this week so far.

I do wonder if it was due to the effectiveness of my last pen? On Sunday I finished off the last of it and topped up to get 7.5mg with the new pen, so around 2mg from new one and the suppression is so much better again this week that it was at all in October.

RussianDoll76 · 19/11/2025 07:55

Aaarrggghhh !!!!!!! 😫
After weeks of plateau and sticking at 11stone even 10 stone 14lbs at one stage 😁. The scales began to move and by the beginning of this week I was 10stone 11 lbs so pleased things were moving again. Woke up this morning and I am 11 stone again . WTF ! Worse than that I feel heavier . So frustrating. Eating under 1400 a day . Water slightly down and exercise so I will rectify that today but it worries me how little I need to consume to just maintain . I’m pretty sure I will need to be an MJ lifer .

Bloozie · 19/11/2025 08:33

Do you think maybe we are all entering our bear era?

Like, it’s getting colder, and our bodies are just hanging onto our winter weight for insulation?

I’m not calling it a plateau any more. I’m in my bear era.

RussianDoll76 · 19/11/2025 08:38

@Bloozieyes I love that !! I join you in the bear era . ( unfortunately 😂)

SecretIrnBruDrinker · 19/11/2025 11:31

Bear era sounds better than winter weight!

Asda have offered me a £10 off voucher. I've got one and a half 5mg pens in the fridge atm. I don't know whether to order a 2.5 or 5 - or hope in 6 weeks they will offer me another voucher and I'll know where I am after Christmas.

MissMogs · 19/11/2025 12:37

Also in the plateau club. Into my 4th week hovering around 81-82kg.

On the plus side, Numan have amended my order back to 15mg for delivery tomorrow so watch this space! Was a great deal. I’m getting lots of Black Friday emails from other pharmacies I’ve ordered from, but their discounts are laughable by comparison!

Whatever dose you’re on, 5mg is the most cost effective.
But you can shop around…

MissMogs · 19/11/2025 17:54

I agree, definitely don’t just stick with one provider. I’ve checked monj for all mine to get the best deal.
I’ve had the tracking code for Numan now so my opinion of them has improved! Happy to share the referral link for £100 off if anyone wants it
