Checking in Losers!

Jins · 15/11/2025 22:02

I’m here! It’s been quite a day but I managed to keep up MJ or no MJ. Just fabulous to spend an afternoon in the company of my boys

Some good news to report though - my brother has seen his doctor! Lots of tests booked in but the first step has been made.

I’m off to bed with a large glass of water.

DGonMJ · 15/11/2025 23:08

Hello new thread! Thanks @meatyryvita

Zempy · 16/11/2025 07:24

I only just noticed the thread title!!! lol!!!

myladyjane · 16/11/2025 08:10

Yo

Claudette7934 · 16/11/2025 08:31

Yes, I had a very traumatic poo yesterday. Going to be very serious about eating dried prunes and kiwis this week as there’s no way I want to go through that again.

tinyemmy · 16/11/2025 08:40

Morning losers, I've been enjoying my weekend away. Mouth isn't as bad as I expected so I've been eating ok although dinner was a tub of Ben and Jerry's (I couldn't resist a new chocolate orange flavour I found, it was nice but I wouldn't have it again). I ended up eating a huge lunch too so no danger of anyone thinking I'm exhibiting diet behaviour. Two of the other girls with me had a starter and a side for lunch, no pudding. Just continues to explain why I struggle with my weight. Although I do a lot more exercise!

I went on a hike in the morning and managed to slip 🙈 I've got osteopenia so a bit of me is worried whether I need to get an x-ray on my coccyx and the other part of me says it's mainly pride and it will clear up after a couple of weeks (I did similar about 20 years ago whilst snowboarding and had to roll out of bed for a month).

Jab day tomorrow... Like @jinsI probably need to put some reminders, hopefully if I order every other month I can stay on 5mg with Pharmulous, this is what I'd discussed with them some months back in a maintenance call but they also say on their website that you need to order every 4 weeks or you're back to 2.5... only one way to find out. I also saw someone, I think on a different thread, state they would do 2.5, then a number of 5s and then leave a gap for when they'd used all of that so there are ways around it...

PenelopesProteinPackedParty · 16/11/2025 08:52

Checking in, new thread, new name, new season approaching 🎄.

Aimingdown · 16/11/2025 09:01

Happy Sunday!

And All Bran

HeidiLite · 16/11/2025 09:20

Happy Sunday!
I really need to move my jab back to Thursdays, it has shifted to Mondays due to travels and trying to extend it, and by weekends, I get too snacky.
Off to gym to turn some of the excess food into muscle.

hunkydory54 · 16/11/2025 09:30

Morning all, love the new thread name and @PenelopesProteinPackedParty new name. Thank you for the advice and I'm going to contact Pharmulous tomorrow when they open. As one of you said I'm sure I'm not the only one with this query about switching back to MJ. Have a great Sunday everyone, I'm on elderly parent duty later

DGonMJ · 16/11/2025 10:33

Argh after all my ‘I can eat what I want on 2.5mg’ I’ve now noticed I’ve been slowly gaining over the week and I’m over 59kg. This is despite feeling high suppression yesterday from a lot of protein (and not much fibre). Not sure if it’s hormonal, water retention, or too many calories. I shall remain on 2.5mg today, keep an eye on portions and macros.
If it continues to go up over this coming week I’ll jab a bit higher next weekend and l’ll be back to a calorie deficit to get that Kg off.
This is maintenance.

cloudjumper · 16/11/2025 11:18

Place-marking!
waving to everyone on this cold and damp Sunday.

I have finally managed to get into the healthy BMI bracket!! 24.9 as of this week. Not sure I’ll still be there next week, but I’ll take it for now 😁 My weight loss is now glacial, and I don’t know what to do 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ve dropped back to 7.5mg, suppression is still really strong. Prioritising protein etc, but I’m struggling to lose. Still would like another stone off, but I’m not sure I will ever manage that.
In the meantime, I’ve treated myself to a new wardrobe (thanks Vinted), which I am loving 🥰 Wearing belts and the like! Having a shape!
Deciding to start mj has definitely been the best decision, so glad I decided to take the plunge on that.

Zempy · 16/11/2025 11:21

Congratulations @cloudjumper that’s fantastic!!!

HeidiLite · 16/11/2025 12:25

that's great, @cloudjumper ! And no reason why you wouldn't get the last stone off, if you want to.

2025istheyeari · 16/11/2025 14:10

Thanks @meatyryvita😊.
Amazing news @cloudjumper
🎉🎉. Not sure what to suggest on the loss, sometimes it just frustratingly takes time😣. Hope it starts moving soon, maybe like the rest of us you need a big 💩.

Talking of which I had a similar experience to others yesterday and today, I never suffered from constipation until this year. I’ve been looking at my diary for the past week and a few days I was well under the recommended amount so this week is all about pulses, green leafy veg etc!

I’ve recorded my lowest weight today though 10 6. I want to lose 2 1/2 more pounds to get to 6 stone. I don’t think I’ll stay there but I want to achieve it!

Jins · 16/11/2025 17:15

Fabulous news @cloudjumper.

I’m having a lovely peaceful day and I’m feeling very relaxed. I weighed in at 8st 12 this morning which is only a pound above where I’d like to be for a bit of leeway over the festivities. That accountability I signed up for has worked wonders. Obviously I’m incapable of doing something for myself but if I have to report to someone else I can do it. I think it demonstrates how useful these threads have been and will continue to be.

One bit of annoyance today was that my metabolic age has gone up a year. It took me a while to remember that my actual age has too so it’s not as puzzling as I first thought 🤣

2025istheyeari · 16/11/2025 17:25

Happy birthday @Jins! Glad you’re having a lovely day, hope you’re being spoilt!

PenelopesProteinPackedParty · 16/11/2025 17:37

Happy Birthday @Jins.

Who mentioned all bran 🤐 😂, I love all bran and things like fruit and fibre but am still prone to 'leaky gut' post medication so have to be careful. I bet if I could just eat 'normally' I wouldn't have such an issue with constipation. I used to love prunes but find them very sickly since I have been on MJ.

I've worked all day, still a bit of work to go before I down tools, but dinner is in the oven. It smells divine, I cut/flattened a chicken and it has been in a bag with lemons, garlic, rosemary, olive oil and seasoning all day. Yum, we'll have roast new potatoes and some sort of veg - can't decide what to have with it at the minute. I am also making a crumble but I doubt I'll have any of that.

It is very cold isn't it.

Zempy · 16/11/2025 17:38

Happy birthday @Jins

myladyjane · 16/11/2025 19:27

@Jins Happy Birthday Lovely Lady

tinyemmy · 16/11/2025 19:29

Happy birthday @Jins
I definitely need some accountability! Not really sure where to start! I'm excelling on the exercise front, but food is hit and miss.
Perhaps I need to move it from Monday like @HeidiLite- I chose Monday so that I could enjoy my weekends but I've enjoying them too much.
Or could go slightly higher like @DGonMJalthough 2.5mg works for me financially (would prefer it if it was 1.25 but I can't manage that low at the mo)

HeidiLite · 16/11/2025 19:33

Happy birthday @Jins !

@tinyemmy same here, had a really good gym session, strong like an ox. but definitely eating too much over the weekend. And as we all know, it's pretty impossible to keep weight stable with exercise only.
But tomorrow is another day, I always find it much easier to stick to reasonable calories during the week, as I'm not around food as much.

Same, jabbing tomorrow and back on it.
