Morning all!

I forgot to reply to @PenelopesProteinPackedParty. Yes I love Treasurer’s House and it’s definitely on my list to visit even though we’ve been many times before. We managed to get a behind the scenes tour of the attics and servants quarters once which was fascinating.

The poltergeist thing was really weird. I’d spent most of the tour teasing the lads as I’m not really a paranormal person but love a ghost tour. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the lovebite bruise the following morning. I wish I could find the photo but it’s not on this phone. As we were staying in our caravan with the two lads a curtain away there wasn’t much in the way of antics that may have caused it. The guide was very excited by the pic the following day and asked me to email it but I didn’t fancy a pic of me in my bra floating around the internet.

Packing and travel day today. Gutted we couldn’t get in the Rowntree park site but we’re near enough

HeidiLite · 20/11/2025 08:21

morning losers!

Seems that my weight is reasonably stable around 58-59, only issue is that I would want it to be stable around a kilo or 2 below that. Need to snack less, especially with all the holiday parties approaching.

New LesMills trainer trainings soon, we get new programs every 3 months and I usually can't be bothered to go in person, it's in another town and you can just watch it online nowadays. But this time I decided to show up - not only for the programs I teach, but you can also take all the other classes. So I'm thinking Bodypump, Core, Bodyattack, Bodycombat and Shapes all in a row - nice relaxing Saturday, right?

BreezyPeer · 20/11/2025 08:37

Morning 🌄 losers!
So, I am now below my bottom maintenance weight and I was out for dinner last night!
It's so odd. I need to do some math of TDEE and make sure I am actually eating enough and up my strength training.
I have lost 1.8lb per week in the last month which is more that anytime since the first month!
Stress is a weight loss secret although before mj I used to stress eat so . . .

meatyryvita · 20/11/2025 08:52

Morning losers! I've had a super busy week so far but have just read through the past few pages and caught up.

@HeidiLite awesome guns!!
@Jins great about the weight, shocked about the poltergeist!
@BreezyPeer best of luck with the dating - must be exhausting!!

Weigh in for me today and I STS, which I'm not concerned about given last weeks' relative whoosh. I've reconsidered my goal weight and am going to aim to get to 10.4 and see how I feel.

SW - 15.10 (30th Jan)
CW - 11.0.9
GW - 10.4

I wonder if it's the same for anyone else but I seem to have spent a good deal of my time in the past focussing on how I looked and worrying what other people saw and thought of me (i.e. that people were constantly passing judgement on me). It's quite liberating to not have those negative thoughts and to just crack on with my day-to-day.

OP posts:
HeidiLite · 20/11/2025 10:01

@BreezyPeer I had the same, when I reached the goal I kept losing without actually trying any more. It has stabilised though, so you probably don't need any drastic action, give it a bit of time.

HeidiLite · 20/11/2025 12:29

I am so cold! Temperature dropped the past few days, I'm wearing thermals already, so shopping for heated gilets and fingerless gloves here (for some reason also right hand is much colder than left?)

I think there's definitely a market there for elegant thermal and heated clothes. Shouldn't be difficult to put those heating elements into something suitable for office? Mine is casual, but looking like I'm about to head out to hunt some deer would be pushing it.

Zempy · 21/11/2025 07:34

It’s too cold to get out of bed.

myladyjane · 21/11/2025 07:49

Yes it is. I have to drop the car in for a mot and service and I do t want to. Because it’s cold

Zempy · 21/11/2025 07:57

I have to go to Tesco for Click and Collect. Otherwise I would work from my bed today, using TEAMS background for my one meeting.

I broke my ankle a few years ago and had to buy a bed desk. Very useful!

PenelopesProteinPackedParty · 21/11/2025 08:01

😑I had to collect a child from a snow stranded location at 12:30am, honestly, the police issued a do not travel message yesterday in North Yorkshire - bit early for one of those and muggins here did a 40 mile round trip in the dark, icy, snow.

I have just jabbed 8.333 mg - highest dose yet, not an ounce down this week despite everything.

Nothing positive to report on the house front. I can't bring myself to move to something I don't absolutely love because where I live is very beautiful - which is a bit of a pxsser as the houses that match up are few and far between and not plentiful at the best of times let alone at the back end of November.

I am taking the one day at a time approach to life.

tinyemmy · 21/11/2025 08:19

Morning! Loving the guns @HeidiLite

Ive also got out my wrist warmers, I wore them to the office yesterday and the multicolour was not a good vibe so I have some lovely ones from Hush in order from next, I'm pretty sure they are identical to my last lot that I cannot find - cashmere, long with just a hole for the thumb so you can still fit gloves over.

I also have discovered windscreen covers, incredible! When I left at 6:20 for the gym and peeled the cover off no de-icing was needed. I needed to roll down the windows to see but it wasn't a hardship. I got one that goes over the wing mirrors. It has made icy mornings so much more bearable. I didn't fancy getting up 10 minutes earlier to de-ice the car!

My weight is in the lower half of my range, despite living in ice cream (post mouth op) so I'm happy.

I've got a chat with a PT today to help with setting my week up for success. I have a gym circuits class I like on a Saturday and do martial arts on a Tuesday and Friday, office Monday and Thursday and need to figure out where best to fit the rest of my strength workouts. Currently doing Wednesday morning circuits but I'd like to do 3 sessions and also think I should be focusing on progressive overload so whilst the circuits are fun and have made a huge difference I know I will get more improvement from more focused sessions. I also want help with nutrition (will not be sharing that I'm on mj!).

How do you all plan your weeks? (I've also got young kids to think about, can't leave the 8 year old on her own and hubby travels often hence it would be good to have a plan that I can do at home!)

CurlsandCurves · 21/11/2025 08:23

Morning chilly losers!

Not posted for ages, but I always read. I got back off holiday on Monday. Weighed Tuesday morning to find a gain of just 3lb, which I’m very pleased about. I was expecting double that as I’ve been at a stall for a good 6 weeks and I didn’t hold back on food and drink at all.

So now I’m back I’ve moved up a dose. Did the golden dose from my 10 pen and got I think 13.3mg out of it. Seems to have done the trick as this morning I’m 5lb down! Obviously some of that will be water retention and inflammation leaving my body after the flight, but wow!

The shop floor at my work is fine once the heating is on. But there is no heating anywhere else in the building, so the stock rooms are like freezers. Kept putting off going to the loo yesterday as it was so cold back there. Not looking forward to today!

DGonMJ · 21/11/2025 08:57

Morning all - yes it’s cold! Am having a lie in this morning as time off in lieu for a whole load of overnight work a few weeks ago.

@tinyemmy do you mean plan exercise? My usual routine (which has gone out the window this month) is to do two cardio (bike), one yoga, one strength class at home on the peloton app in the week. Then a heavy weights session at the gym with PT at the weekend.
Currently I’m just about managing two home cardio and the weights with PT.

Can’t remember if mentioned this before but my procrastination levels are almost back to pre-MJ. Just finding it difficult to motivate myself at home. Maybe it’s because work is getting busier and using up all my batteries.
@PenelopesProteinPackedParty I think I’ll copy your one day at a time approach.

In maintenance news, I weighed in at 58kg this morning which is my preferred lowest point in my bracket. I’m going to stick with 2.5mg this Sunday…after worrying about an upward trend last week.

HeidiLite · 21/11/2025 10:13

@tinyemmy my exercise is all over the place. Or we can also call it flexible and adaptable 😁
I regularly teach 2 Bodypump classes per week, but quite often take some substitute classes too, so the rest of week depends on that. If it's just the 2 regular ones, I usually do weights at gym Saturday and/or Sunday, and the rest of the days, try to do something at home.
I might do a run, if the weather is nice. But not focusing on cardio at the moment, I get a decent cardio workout already in bodypump, I usually get my heart rate over 170 there. Vo2max is excellent.

I have a bodypump barbell, adjustable kettlebell and some dumbbells at home, plus a spinning bike.

DGonMJ · 21/11/2025 10:39

In a massive 180 - after writing about low motivation - I looked out of the window and decided I needed to combine getting fresh air, vit d and exercise and went for a run!
Ran nearly non stop for 36mins, after not having been on an outdoor run for at least 18months. I did have to have a little walking break after a steep hill, weirdly not because I was out of breath, but because I felt like I might vom!
Knees and adductors are a little irritated…having not been used to high impact. But hopefully they’ll settle.

Thelittlestranger · 21/11/2025 11:16

Good for you @DGonMJ ! I went for a run too - decided to make it hilly as haven't done one for a week.

@tinyemmy my usual week is two gym sessions (upper and lower sessions) one full body at home and two runs around that.

@HeidiLite my vo2max has reached excellent since running again. But my heart rate never goes above 160. It's always been low - although MJ made resting go up by about 5 while I was on it. Back to normal now I'm off it.

It's a beautiful day, I hit my lowest weight band ahead of the weekend. Enjoy it ladies!!

tinyemmy · 21/11/2025 11:17

@HeidiLite@DGonMJthank you for sharing! I don't do any cardio now (although Saturday circuits often gets the heart rate up). Interesting that you do something every day @HeidiLiteMy thing is how to beat fit it in. I get up at 6:30 to go to work on Monday and I don't think getting up earlier than that is sensible as sleep is so important, but should I do something in the evening. How many strength sessions to do and where best to fit them in the week. I am fitting in twice per week strength at the moment but I'd like to fit in a third as I think that will be helpful... Or maybe I should do more??

DGonMJ · 21/11/2025 13:16

@tinyemmykey is to fitting in what you can and what works best for your own life otherwise you’re setting yourself unrealistic expectations. Sounds like you already do a lot at the moment. I’ve found gym circuits I’ve done more of a cardio class. Heavy weights need to be done slowly, especially if you’re training ‘to failure.’
Also different people recover at different rates. So you might find you only need one heavy and progressive weights session a week where you really push yourself and the rest of the week are all light recovery sessions just to get your blood pumping into your muscles. But I know the standard advise it to strength training 2-3 times a week.
Bit like how there used to be advice to do HIIT 2-3 times a week, but actually if you’re prone to inflammation and already under a lot of stress then just doing it once is probably enough.

If you’re pressed for time, you want quality over quantity and you still want to enjoy it.

HeidiLite · 21/11/2025 13:47

correction, I would like to do something every day. Doesn't always happen and sometimes it's just 20 min arms or similar.
Lifting really depends what you do, if you do full body in each session then you definitely need some rest days in between. But if it's one muscle group at the time, you can have more training days no problem.
i'd like to go to gym more, as weights at home are limited, but it takes so much longer so I often cannot be arsed.

BreezyPeer · 22/11/2025 08:19

@HeidiLite I remember you talking about the continued weight loss at goal. I think I do need to add a bit more food each day. Just need to resist the temptation to make up the calories in chocolate 🤣
@DGonMJ @HeidiLite @tinyemmy good exercise chat! You have encouraged me to get up and do a session. ( probably bodyweight as the garage gym is freezing and I can't be bothered carrying weights in and out) before a lovely day out (date!)
@CurlsandCurves I hate being cold! I can imagine avoiding the loo in those circumstances!

BreezyPeer · 22/11/2025 08:19

Morning 🌄 losers!

BreezyPeer · 22/11/2025 08:21

@PenelopesProteinPackedParty what a pain that plateau is!
Good luck with the house hunting. I know it has to be a head and heart decision but when its going to be your home, you have to love it!

Zempy · 22/11/2025 08:41

The two houses, including my current one, that I have really loved, I knew the second I walked in. I got “the feeling” and was willing to compromise on some things in order to live there.

In one case it was parking. I just had to improve my on street parallel parking skills. In my current house its size. It’s smaller than I need really, but I love it so much.

So my advice is that yes, there is usually compromise involved in buying a new home, but don’t let that compromise be “the feeling.”

cloudjumper · 22/11/2025 08:55

Morning all, hope you’re keeping warm! It’s cold here, and pouring rain - so glad that DH is taking DD to her football match today (well, he’s the team coach, so doesn’t really get a choice there 😜). I have booked a gym session, so I’ll be nice and toasty 🔥 on days like today I’m no longer sad the DS gave up football!
I’m also someone who has to book exercise sessions, otherwise I won’t do anything. After exercising at home for so long during the pandemic, I now have a deep-rooted aversion to workouts at home. We found a great gym close by, small and personal, which we both really like. Not the cheapest, but at least we then make sure we go to get our money’s worth! I try to go 3-4 times a week, with 3 weight session and one circuits/cardio. Only started doing focussed cardio again recently, didn’t feel up for it after my surgery. But that excuse is now starting to wear thin 😂

Going to see the new Wicked film this afternoon with DD, one of her friends and her mum who I’m good friends with. The girls are v excited, we adults less so… it’s so long! And if anything like the last one, it’ll be so loud 😖 hey-ho

PenelopesProteinPackedParty · 22/11/2025 09:15

Thanks for the house hunting sympathies. It really is so expensive to move house that it has to be right and I am not inclined to compromise on much tbh. Maybe we might see more come on the market after the budget? I have no idea but if I can't find anything I'll stay put and think about waiting until my kids have actually flown the nest.

That's not guaranteed for a few years yet though is it at 19 and 20.
