Happy Birthday @Jins 🎉.
Well done @cloudjumper, brilliant progress. For me the prioritising protein thing makes a huge difference, not necessarily immediately but over time I’m definitely snacking less and feeling better. Just trying to add the veggies/fruit/fibre back in too now!

BreezyPeer · 16/11/2025 23:06

Checking in! Thank you for the new thread @meatyryvita xx

Thanks for the new thread @meatyryvita
hope you had a lovely birthday @Jins

A belated happy birthday @Jins

On the food front, I find it much easier at the weekend to eat a balanced diet. I’m generally quite busy at the weekend and so don’t think about my next meal. In the week, whilst work is very busy, if I’m just even a little bored, I still think about food and am more tempted to dig in here and there. I’ve made a rod for my own back this week as I made a Guinness cake last night - one of my very favourite things!

Have a great day losers.

Belated birthday greetings @Jins Accountability has worked for me over the past few weeks too - drinking has cut right down, and the chocolate snuffling has gone. Yesterday was more relaxed, but back on it today. I've stayed in my 2lb band, no creeping out of it. But I haven't gone lower - I would need to eat less for that.

Big weekend with my friends ahead, so going to try even harder this week ahead of it.

I have a PT session shortly, then dog walk, then day of work. This week we are getting through the freezer food, so all manner of delights are being served up. Tonight it's fish cakes and veg. And it is cold out there...

BreezyPeer · 17/11/2025 07:46

Morning 🌄 losers
I had a good weekend. Will jab today. It's been 11 days and my weight has gone down slightly ( good coming into Christmas!) But I honestly think that is the stress I have been under lately rather than my diet.

Hope everyone has a good Monday! Xx

Jins · 17/11/2025 08:05

Thanks for the birthday wishes! I had a fabulous weekend and really enjoyed the company of the DSs and my niece on Saturday. Tonight I’m off to see Janina Ramirez talking about 3 misrepresented mediaeval women which wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea but I can’t wait.

The 5.8mg dose seems to be working well so far in that I’ve got enough suppression to resist overeating but not enough to stop me managing a 5 stop pub crawl and a meal out before going home. New pen for the next jab so back to 5mg but I now know that a relatively small increase for a couple of weeks has stopped a small gain becoming a big gain. I think I’ve focused too much on titrating down that I’d forgotten that MJ is a tool to assist weightloss. Anyway at this rate I should hit my buffer goal in the next couple of weeks.

Have a great week everyone. There’s sun peeping through the trees here, such a boost to the mood

HeidiLite · 17/11/2025 08:12

opposite here @meatyryvita - busy during the week and I usually don't have food around. Weekends - food all around. Either at home, or if out then social activities often tend to revolve around food as well. And I've always been on seafood diet - see food, eat it :D

PenelopesProteinPackedParty · 17/11/2025 08:34

Morning all. My weight is dancing around again which remains tedious.

Yesterday I ate 220ml homemade brocolli and stilton soup with 53g (I kid you not) of homemade ancient grains bread (14% protein flour), a pear, very small portion of roasted chicken breast, four baby new roasted potatoes, broccoli and baby carrots.

Tons of herbal tea, two cups of coffee, lots of water.

I really can't eat any less than I am eating but I am not really losing any weight. Still have very low BP and keeled over again last week so not up to much movement.

😖

myladyjane · 17/11/2025 09:01

Morning all - I need the groups views pls. I need to order today and not sure if I should do a 12.5 pen.

9lb from goal. Still losing albeit slowly (probably average just under lb a week). Have 2 10mg pens in the fridge. Suppression is still present but not fierce.

have 2 doses left in my pen.

I think I’m going to be restarting hrt soon and obviously Christmas so I wondered if going up might give me a final push to goal.

of actually is it better to stay where I am as I’m still losing and hoping maintenance is around the corner. Keep going up in my back pocket if I need to/stall completely.

thoughts pls

Polkadotdash · 17/11/2025 09:13

Morning all checking in to new thread. And @Jins we are birthday twins. Happy Birthday! I went out for a cheap Wetherspoons brunch (hate the owner, but the prices are an enabler) that ended up getting very boozy on Saturday. Spent yesterday feeling my age and was having proper post booze paranoia last night. Not sure if it’s age or WLI, but I absolutely cannot tolerate alcohol like I used to.

Also on Riot Women - wanted to love it, absolutely hated it. Found it to be really patronising. Couldn’t finish the first episode. I possibly came to it with the wrong idea though as I was hoping for something Riot Grrrrrl having spent the 90s in awe of those women.

meatyryvita · 17/11/2025 09:18

A belated happy birthday to you too @Polkadotdash !

How exciting! A birthday twin 😍

Hope you have a fabulous year ahead @Polkadotdash

Zempy · 17/11/2025 10:50

Happy birthday @Polkadotdash .

@myladyjane if you’re not getting enough suppression then yes, go for it!! You can always dose yourself with less if the step up is too much

HeidiLite · 17/11/2025 11:01

@Polkadotdash happy birthday!
With you on the alcohol topic, I can do a few glasses and that's it. Not even enjoying it much. Which is not a bad think, I've done many questionable things after that one extra glass 😁

PenelopesProteinPackedParty · 17/11/2025 11:03

@myladyjane I ordered a 12.5mg pen last week, just because the difference in price was so little - £11.

MJalltheway · 17/11/2025 11:12

Ooooh I love a Guinness cake @meatyryvita - exactly why I don't make it any more!
happy birthday @Jins and @Polkadotdash - November is the best month for birthdays!

Had family visiting this weekend so have had meals out and an amazing afternoon tea (wish they would offer 'mini' ones with about half the quantity).
I had ignored my weigh in on Friday because I did a big gym session the day before and my weight jumped 1kg in a day which clearly wasn't actual weight but was water & inflammation. So this morning the kilo had disappeared again along with another 200g so I'm taking today's as my weigh in for the week..

SW 101kg
CW 72kg
GW 70kg

loss this week 0.5kg
4.5 stone loss hit!

jabbed yesterday with all of the bonus dose (I usually just take 0.6ml of whatever is left) so works out at pretty much a 12.5 dose. Just to try and boost my way to goal. It's my birthday next week, it'd be amazing to get this last 2 kg gone by then. Don't think it's likely with the current rate of progress though.

Thelittlestranger · 17/11/2025 12:17

Happy birthday @Polkadotdash !

BlueLimes · 17/11/2025 12:25

Happy birthday @Polkadotdash

Definitely get 12.5 @myladyjane so you’ve the option to go for it.

wowsers @MJalltheway

@HeidiLite I have done many questionable things after one too many and am eternally grateful we didn’t have mobile phones in my youth !!
Although there is a dreadful video of me doing a speech at a leaving do where I am completely plastered. Fortunately was my team who I think were also v merry.

2025istheyeari · 17/11/2025 14:59

Belated happy birthday @Polkadotdash! Sounds like a fun Saturday! Another one who can’t tolerate alcohol and another who’s very glad mobiles weren’t around when I was younger!! Lol @BlueLimes!!

I say go higher @myladyjanelike others have said, you can always do lower doses. Fingers crossed it gives the boost you need to get rid of those few last pounds.

I seem to have my eating under control atm, big focus on fibre this week. Have just had a green masala soup for lunch- lentils, stock, green masala paste from
waitrose ( basically coriander a bit of green chilli, garlic and ginger), Cavolo Nero, spinach and coriander all blitzed. So good and great from a protein and fibre perspective! Been out for a long walk in the sun with a friend so a lovely Monday!

well done on the accountability stuff @Jinsand @Thelittlestranger.

Well done @BreezyPeer and hope things are starting to get less stressful.

Sorry I’m in the app and it now won’t let me scroll back so I know I’ve missed people!

BlueLimes · 17/11/2025 15:23

Im behind on thread too. Bit must ask @BreezyPeer how the dating is going??

Soup sounds delicious @2025istheyeari

Thelittlestranger · 17/11/2025 16:09

Today I've eaten chicken and salad on sourdough, an apple and two crab sticks. Salmon fishcakes with lots of veg for tea, and then stewed apple with greek yoghurt and walnuts for afterwards. With maybe a few mini breadsticks while waiting for dinner!! Very typical day for me for a Monday, and should 'save' me around 250 cals to use up on my weekend away.

Also did an upper body session with my PT and got my dumbbell lifts back up to 12.5kg which I'm chuffed with. I've got something dodgy still in my neck/shoulder so have been working hard to get my strength back there. Followed by an hour dog walk. Good way to start the day.

BreezyPeer · 17/11/2025 16:10

@BlueLimes the dating has become . . . Interesting!
I did a lot of online chatting and then I met a couple of nice men through the app. One of whom wanted a more 'full on' relationship than I can offer and introduced me to family and friends really quickly, which was flattering but a bit much. Another through the app who is physically very attractive and I got on well with but has different priorities to me so I think that will also go by the by. However, yesterday, someone I have known for a while in real life asked me on a date so we'll have to see where that goes!
All in all, it's gone well but I have to say it is exhausting accessing all the emotions after years of having them safely boxed up. Xxx
