We have all been on for heading up to 17mths now- we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

most of us are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it
And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did

Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots - I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This next year will almost be harder.

To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely

only 2 words to say 😂😂

Hi @Blondeshavemorefun thanks for the new thread!

I'm enjoying my last full dose - maintenance starts next week. I've just had my hours cut at work so I can't keep putting it off.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/11/2025 08:04

Sorry to hear hours being cut - maintenance isn’t too bad - def notice the hunger more - but ok with waiting for meals but snacking and food noise is about on 5 - and I never thought I got it

Good morning all. Hope you all get through the rain OK today. In Fuerteventura we had storm warnings for yesterday but in the end it wasn't for the full day..managed to get a 6 mile walk in and a bit of sunbathing. I had gone down to 7.5 for 2 weeks but before my holiday I syringed 10mls out of the pen...really noticed suppression and side effects so will be going back down to 7.5 when I get home then try 5 from my 10 pen.
In my Temu dress recommended by Blondes 😊🌞

WWJ and in 5 and lost my 2lbs from last week so back happily in my ballpark

My goal was 11 and bmi 24 still dropping from 15 I’ve lost almost another stone but I know at 10.2 (which was 100lbs) I’m too skinny. Face looking gaunt so I’m hoovering under 10.7 so half a stone less then I wanted and think bmi of 23

i seem to vary 10.3 to 10.6 and if higher end good for the week and drops off again

as long as I don’t go past 10.7 which is still 7lbs less than my original goal then I think I’m doing ok

weight will go up and down and maybe I’m worrying over nothing so as long as im under 10.7 I’m not going to worry and just say I’m maintaining which tech I am

Best ever GA reaction! Or lack of!

I drank 5/6 protein shakes yesterday and a small bag of crisps yesterday. Anaesthetist was very pleased with my plan and didn’t need to do a rapid sequence induction but was able to put me to sleep normally.

I took my lansoprazole early and he told me that was good and then gave me a pill for antisickness and to speed up stomach emptying. I wasn’t sick afterwards at all!

My blood pressure was really low afterwards but came back up just enough for physio to mobilise me, I had a wee and escaped.

i then ate lots of pizza 😆😆 I’ll have my jab in the morning.

poppym12 · 14/11/2025 21:46

Helloooo!!!

I'm really struggling with moving down the doses. I've been in 10mg every 9 or 10 days for 3 weeks and have taken 7.5 this morning. I'm sooooooo hungry! I'm waking up with gurgling guts and feeling sick through hunger. Once I eat I can't seem to stop.

I weighed myself on Tuesday and I'd actually lost around 400g but the sheer pigging out on rubbish over the last couple of days will have negated that.

This is not good. I won't be able to buy any more pens and I'm now on my last but one. I really thought I'd tidied my diet up - obviously not. The mounjaro has been doing all of it.

FurForksSake · 14/11/2025 22:01

Ah @poppym12 that sounds hard.

Have you got rubbish in the house or are you going to get it?

Are you able to prep breakfast and snacks so that you have something healthy and filling to grab?

Don’t panic! It seems like it’s pretty normal to feel hungry and then settle or get used to the returning feelings after a few days. All people have good days, bad days and everything in between.

The important bit is to remember what works, whole food and prioritising fibre and protein.

Can you choose fruit / veggies in the fridge and buy a delicious hummus to dip in or some really nice creamy Greek yoghurt?

Would you like a really indulgent overnight oats / omelette / egg bites / chia pudding?

Can you do a healthy swap of your snacks? Proper chips, neoh bars, Cadbury delights, fibre ones, pop chips?

Maybe plan a few days of eating and eat all your calories, plan your drinks and snacks and treat it like a prescription to get back on track?

You could also try adding some steps / hiit / other exercise in to displace the calories.

Lots of water (fizzy?), squash or diet drinks, get some low cal hot chocolate for a treat and you’ll be ok.

you can get through this, you have come so far and done so well.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/11/2025 22:23

Glad if went well @FurForksSake

@poppym12i felt the same - I noticed it a lot more at 7.5 from 15.

I had serious biscuitgate rhe other week and Maltese’s and gained 2lbs tho still under my ballpark

but I didn’t like it and made me very aware how easy it is to put weight on

tho feeling sick with hunger isn’t good. I was allowed another 600c a day to maintain - how many extra are you allowed ?

it is normal for us to feel hunger but to reliese (hopefully) that it’s ok to feel it

poppym12 · 14/11/2025 22:46

I'm doing well with meals @FurForksSake ie keeping portions to the new normal size, prioritising protein (I have to be careful with fibre) but I seem to be hungry again about half an hour after I've eaten even if I add more veg.

I don't like eggs and it's become apparent that I'm lactose intolerant. I already know I can't eat oats or chia seeds (may as well tip them straight down the toilet) and apparently popcorn gives me hideous stomach cramps too (along with all brassica veg).

I've stocked up on fruit today so I'll try to reach for that rather than a lovely cookie or stroopwaffel. I eat fruit during the day, it's evening time I reach for the rubbish.

I'm not able to do much exercise (I have ME) so I'll have to knuckle down with my eating - I really miss the not feeling hungry thing.

poppym12 · 14/11/2025 22:51

Apparently my tdee is something like 1630 @Blondeshavemorefunbut as I don't exercise, I know I'd gain if I eat at that level every day. I'll see how much I've gained next week after my recent episodes of greed.

I'm still logging everything on nutracheck so I should be able to fine tune how many calories per day keeps me stable.

I don't remember feeling this gnawing hunger before mj so it's a bit of a shocker!

FurForksSake · 15/11/2025 08:51

ah @poppym12 be kind to yourself, with ME it must be incredibly hard and then with the diet issues that’s even harder.

Can you reassure yourself that you’ve had enough, notice the hunger but then redirect your brain to something else? Have a big drink, thank your body for looking after you and then try to tune it out?

I think it’s hard when we’ve gone so long without the feeling of hunger that it’s going to feel really magnified.

maybe think of vegetables as free and really load up your plate with those? Particularly if they are steamed or boiled or whatever, they are going to be so low in calories you can really go to town.

FurForksSake · 15/11/2025 16:29

Had some NSV yesterday, I have on the glam stockings after surgery and they didn’t have to measure me and find the big, big sizes I’ve had in the past.

The anaesthetist described me as “tiny” and only gave me half a dose of the medication to make me “woozy” I then told him I live on opioids and I most certainly wasn’t feeling woozy 🥴

It was so weird people describing me as small, I want this feeling of being in a “normal” size body to continue.

My exercise bike for surgical recovery arrives tomorrow, I’m hoping it’s going to be something I can build up to using every morning for 20 minutes to build up some stamina.

wohmum · 15/11/2025 20:38

Thanks for the new thread @Blondeshavemorefun I’m still reading and keeping up with the news. Glad the op went well @FurForksSake . Still hovering between 9 st and 9st 2 , jabbing 7.5 every 10 days or so

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/11/2025 21:08

I don’t exercise apart from bootcamp once a week for 45m and didn’t go this week as raining

FurForksSake · 15/11/2025 21:10

With my hips and hyper mobility I’m told I really have to or I’m going to be in real trouble in old age. Apparently an exercise bike is the best option. It’s got an iPad holder so I can either watch cycling videos or catch up on a random show (I’ve not watched riot women yet!)

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/11/2025 21:36

@poppym12 sorry you have gnawing hunger 😢 can you drink more

as I said I def gel hunger more

@FurForksSake that’s a great nsv !
