We have all been on for heading up to 17mths now- we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

most of us are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it
And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did

Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots - I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This next year will almost be harder.

To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely

You could be my twin @20bloodypounds. Have no idea and my body fat is either and I do 45m once week. If not raining 😂

oh wow @morbidcuriosity. This has made my day !!! Well done 🌟🌟🌟

@FurForksSake size 8. Amazing. Well done

@FurForksSake this is the best ever canape...

A ritz cracker, topped with a dollop/smear of hummus, then a smoked mussel on the top. It is the most perfect combo of crisp and smooth and proteiny. And crunch and wet and slightly chewy. To die for!

But JohnWest Sild or Sardines are great. Mashed on toast - amazing and so healthy. Or mixed with cream cheese into a pate.

Just dropping in to say hello 👋 ☺️ still here and let's not let the thread die! It's been a roller coaster of a journey and we helped eachother along the ups and downs. How fantastic we all are..well done everyone! I have funded most of my new wardrobe through Vinted...just sold 3 more items tonight. Feeling over the moon about all our success..let's keep this thread alive ✨️
I have to have an operation hopefully early next year on my neck...a hyperparathyroidectomy...how did I manage to spell that 🙃
Many of the symptoms are so similar to MJ side effects..plus osteoporosis and kidney stones. Just relieved to get a diagnosis..I have also got an appointment with NHS back pain specialist in a weeks time...but my pain is muscular and will not be fixed by surgery. Will be interested to see what they say.
Anyway I am full of hope and positivity...here's to us all staying slim and gorgeous 😍
PS don't hate me but I am going away for a month over Christmas and NY...I booked the flights last January and got 20% off our favourite self catering accommodation so its a steal. As you probably know I am the oldest on here and enjoying life after 20 years of a mainly crappy marriage...there's definitely a lot of catching up being done now 😅😅😅

FurForksSake · 24/11/2025 20:13

Ooh! Thanks so much, I’ll be playing with these for New Year’s Eve. I didn’t know you could get hot smoked mackerel in a tin, I could eat that every day

FurForksSake · 24/11/2025 20:14

@Azuresky68 hello! Is the surgery straightforward? I do hope so.

Muscular pain is so frustrating, I do hope they can help with the pain.

Azuresky68 · 24/11/2025 20:17

PS I always wait for a week to get weighed after my holiday so no idea if I gained or maintained! Another Temu dress!

Oh thank you so much ❤️ Surgery depends on what the next scan reveals as there are 4 parathyroid glands and could be just one or maybe more that need sorting

Azuresky68 · 24/11/2025 20:22

Love seafood 😋 just had the frozen Aldi prawns in pesto with cauliflower rice for my tea ..another great recommendation from @Blondeshavemorefunthank you

how are are you finding the sizing on Vinted ?

I'm still here but struggling a bit. I was so hungry last week. I noticed my food portions were getting bigger and still not feeling satiated. I also had a run of eating cookies/chocolates during the evening. No surprises I've gained a lb or so.

I jabbed 10mg from my 15 pen today so I'm hoping it helps to get me back on track.

I'm fed up as it seems I can't do this without mj but I can't buy any more pens.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/11/2025 22:16

I’m hoping to do 5 from a 10 so think it’s 220 so be £100 ish a month

OP posts:
FurForksSake · 24/11/2025 22:26

Do you think coming off is lumpy? I did 15 for a couple of weeks and when I went to 12.5 the first week was a bit hungry. I’m now a few weeks back on 12.5 and it’s absolutely fine. I didn’t jab today and haven’t felt the need but will tomorrow day 8.

im wondering if that’s how it goes? You decrease and get a couple of hungry weeks and then settle in to that dose?

Sorry it’s hard @poppym12 I hope it gets easier!

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/11/2025 22:32

I think it evens out if we get used to it

originating I went to 7.5 July but went back to 10 for my holiday aug due to hip pain

I def noticed diff on 5 for hunger compared to 10 or 7.5

so are you going to reduce @FurForksSakeas 12.5 is still high

@poppym12 the lb will be off next week. I gained 2 after maltesgate and then lost following week

still under my ballpark so I think it’s normal for weight to go up and down by a few lbs so don’t worry too much

OP posts:
FurForksSake · 24/11/2025 22:44

Yes, January I’m going down to 10, I need to as it’s just too expensive. I’d ideally like to get down to 2.5. I’ve stayed at 12.5 to get me through my surgery recovery and Christmas. I don’t trust myself around cheeselets and crisps and dip!

Azuresky68 · 24/11/2025 23:38

@Blondeshavemorefun sizing depends on the brand. I got a lovely Next size 8 jacket and it was too big but I resold it. Now I always ask for armpit to armpit measurements and shoulder to hem too. So much stuff on there right now because everyone is buying Christmas pressies not clothes.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/11/2025 00:18

Sorry I meant as they’ve changed it all

my size 20 are now think 32

OP posts:
FurForksSake · 25/11/2025 09:14

I hate the sizing changes on vinted! I want to know the actual size not that it might be a 10 or an 8.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/11/2025 09:38

Very confusing

eaten a marmite bagel and grapes. It was yummy. I know it won’t fill me up and I will want lunch early but fancies one

OP posts:
FurForksSake · 25/11/2025 09:50

love a bagel, hate marmite. I buy the bagel thins and crumpet thins now, or the cohens amazing bagels from Ocado.

WitchDancer · 25/11/2025 10:10

Morning all, sorry I’m late to the new thread!

I’m not on Mumsnet a lot any more as I have been working around 60 hours a week, plus normal family stuff, so I haven’t had the time. I’m doing ok but I’ve not kept my eye on what I’ve been eating - actually I’ve stuffed my face with whatever I fancy - so have put half my weight I lost back on. I’m trying to work out if I can afford to go back on MJ but I suspect not. I guess I just need to work on my willpower!

morbidcuriosity · 25/11/2025 10:11

I quite like the protein bagel thins, I got some in reduced section once and they were good, not my normal go to but thought I'd try as were cheap.
Today's lunch as making to take to work will be egg Mayo (cottage cheese instead of mayo) salt and pepper in the bagel thin. Feels like a healthier sandwich.

FurForksSake · 25/11/2025 10:34

Hi @WitchDancer sounds like life has taken over a bit! I hope you find a way forward. I’d make suggestions but I’m sure you know all the tracking blah blah blah suggestions! I hope you have some time for some fun and relaxation.

FurForksSake · 25/11/2025 10:35

Ooh I might try that over Christmas, love egg mayo hate shelling eggs.
