We have all been on for heading up to 17mths now- we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

most of us are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it
And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did

Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots - I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This next year will almost be harder.

To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely

Well done on marinating @Blondeshavemorefun

I weighed today, I’m 1lb up on pre surgery but I’m clearing an awful constipation backlog and dealing with inflammation so that’s to be expected. And also very, very sedentary!

Im 2lbs over my final goal of 8st2. I’d like to sit around that over Christmas and January and keep on my 12.5 and then come end of jan I’m going to go down to 10mg every 8 days for 5 doses. Then 7.5 the same way. If I can marinating on 2.5 that would be ideal.

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/11/2025 12:50

Fingers crossed you will mange that @FurForksSake

i seem to be ok on 5. Tho def more hungry but doesn’t seem to make me gain weight

but food noise is def about

its great that your weight is so stable.

DH went to Tesco and got me a Christmas sandwich and a packet of McCoy cheddar and onion. My favourites. I’ve eaten the crisps and half the sandwich. I’ll save the other half for tomorrow.

20bloodypounds · 21/11/2025 16:46

@FurForksSake I love that you ate half a sandwich. I do the same. 18 months ago that would have seemed impossible. Fingers crossed for your recovery.

@Blondeshavemorefun I have learned that it is actually OK to feel a bit hungry, but with a more normal metabolism it is also possible for me to notice the hunger, go 'OK', and carry on until the next mealtime. 18 months ago tnat would also have felt impossible!

FurForksSake · 21/11/2025 16:47

@20bloodypounds I ate half and it was really cold (Tesco Christmas sandwich). Thought I’d wait for it to warm up and realised that I had no interest in eating the rest today. Definitely wouldn’t have happened 18 months ago!? And now I have half a Christmas sandwich for tomorrow!

FurForksSake · 21/11/2025 16:48

Oh and I got a three pack of ferrets rockers and shared them with the kids, we enjoyed one each.

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/11/2025 19:44

Agree @20bloodypounds it’s good to know and recognize hunger and that I will survive

lol at @FurForksSake and half a sarnie

How are people feeling about the festive season? I can’t remember much of it last year, I had a severe chest infection that knocked me off my feet for weeks.

This year I feel quite positive, I’ve added some really delicious looking smoked salmon, salad ingredients and gorgeous exotic fruits to my Christmas week shop. I’ve tried to think about indulgent but nutritious meals.

im going to sit and meal plan tomorrow for the two weeks the boys are off, so that l can make sure that the really indulgent meals stay to the couple of meals on Christmas Eve / day and new year. I’m thinking about some really big one pot dishes that have lots of veggies and yumminess.

im gutted i wont be going out for lots of long walks over Christmas. Most years I get us out every morning of the Christmas holidays with a flask of hot chocolate and a festive treat to a different wood or national trust place. I’m going to have to work out how I can do something and not nothing.

I’ve bought Christmas chocolates but less and better quality so that there isn’t the mindless piles to eat through.

Ferret rocker is a classic! My dc spent a whole car journey today arguing over how to pronounce it.

I'm a proud member of the half a sarnie club. Dd (eats like a bird) and I quite often share a Sainsbury's meal deal - half and half on the sandwich, she has most of the massive bag of crisps, I get the fizzy drink. I introduced her to the cooked breakfast sandwich this week. She thought it was the best thing ever. My colleagues think I'm weird for making one last two days when I don't have a tween available to share it with. 2024 me would have thought the same. 2025 me thinks they're huge.

Great idea to think ahead about some healthy but delicious options for Christmas. We get a seafood platter most year's for a protein-tastic no-cook option so I'm looking forward to enjoying that. We're not hosting anyone this Christmas so there won't be any leftovers - definitely need to think in advance about this one.

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/11/2025 22:06

I think I was of mind last year that it’s one meal of 21 and eat what wanted then back on diet as such
I need to find my sheet and see if I gained last Xmas

My boys ADORE seafood. When we go out to Spain they cost me a fortune with their copious desires for prawns, octopus, squid and the rest. I hadn’t thought about a seafood platter, I’ll see if I can find one they’d enjoy.

I think planning for me is the key with most of the big events.

I’ve said to the boys we should try and go out for a special meal over Christmas, I can manage that. I’ll have that as a blow out probably 🤣

PoemsForTea · 23/11/2025 08:13

@FurForksSake I love meal planning & cooking stuff that the main bit is adaptable for everyone. I do a big Fajita or Taco beans in a big pan and then my husband and daughter have it in a wrap or Taco shells with wedges. I pile it onto a baked sweet potato or something. This always forms the basis of my meal planning and sides!

Timetochange24 · 23/11/2025 08:52

@FurForksSake we get ours from a fish monger but really it's just nice smoked salmon and gravalax, blinis, nice cooked prawns, some years dressed crab or a piece of hot smoked salmon or a prawn cocktail. All cold stuff so it's nice and easy to manage and not too hard to diy if you don't have a local option. It's quite often our Christmas eve go-to so that we can enjoy the day without having to think about cooking.

Morning Monday campers

Afternoon! I’m still here!

I should be jabbing today, but I’m going to go back to my 12.5 at 8 days schedule and then January will go down to ten.

I am off for my wound check later and I’m wearing jeans as I had no idea what to wear for someone to look at my hip.

ive ordered my first ever pair of Levi’s. I couldn’t work out the sizing and think I’ve gone too small. But that’s ok, I can send them back. All my size 10 jeans are really too big now and my next size 8 are baggy. I think I look worse wearing clothes that are too big.

I’m now wondering at what point I slowly commit to an upgraded capsule wardrobe. I think it will be once I’ve maintained on 2.5 for six months. That will probably be next Christmas or beyond!

20bloodypounds · 24/11/2025 12:34

@Blondeshavemorefun I'm still here, just don't always feel I have much to contribute. But I read it almost every day and nod along. I also read the maintenance thread, but haven't posted there for a while since all the recent posts have mostly been about body fat composition (I have no idea what mine is and I'm not particularly bothered about finding out) and about exercise (of which I do none!)

@FurForksSake we're also having a lot of seafood and shellfish over the festive period. I live by the sea and we've got some great fishmongers. And I also love tins of sardines, tins of smoked oysters or mussels, and roll mop herrings. I add them to any seafood platter.

morbidcuriosity · 24/11/2025 12:40

Monday weigh and jab day for me.. and I've only gone and bloody done it..

10 stone 10!!! BMI 21.5, smack bang in the middle of what the NHS deems healthy. .

I feel this is the lowest I want to go, I'm happy with my size, just not the wobbly bits, but I'm working on toning them up.. surgery is a probability for me, just need a bit more money behind me but I'm getting there..

I still read this thread but like others I don't have much to contribute really..

But anyways, a happy note from me and I found a shop that always has Longley farm cottage cheese so I've been eating that for past 3 days.. yum yum.

FurForksSake · 24/11/2025 12:40

I’m wondering if mine would like some tinned fish, we only do tuna but I know we have some amazing stuff now. Maybe I’ll find one that looks like a good introductory tinned fish and pretty and stick it in their stockings.
