Mounjaroday · 12/10/2025 19:08

Roll up, roll up (if you can, you skinny Minnie’s!) to all the brave WL warriors still battling on and hanging on in there.

8 months in … welcome to thread 8! 🥰

This thread I pledge:
to do two exercise sessions per week.
(There I’ve said it. Better do it now, hadn’t I).

Goal:
Find an amazing dress to wear for an awards ceremony I am going to in November.

Anyone else got any particular targets?

Big love to you all x

Hi @Dumplers - that’s amazing!

The thread has gone quiet, I think we’re all in a different place now. I found it so valuable during the ‘journey’ and it’s still great to check back! How are people doing?

I’m still on the MJ. I went right down to 2.5mg and boy, was I hungry. I’m clearly someone who is not going to manage without, at least for the foreseeable. Maintaining at goal now, with effort. Building muscle. Trying not to overspend on clothes!

Loving being slim, and still settling into it.

Happy Friday, warriors! (blast from the past) 💐

narkyspirit · 10/04/2026 08:50

its quiet here now.

I have lost 20KG and for the last few months have been +/- 1/2 KG on weekly basis after titrating down from 10mg to 5mg slowly.

seems my 'happy' weight is where I am at now, still overweight, but people still commenting that I am losing weight scales say different so it must be shape😎

looking to drop to 2.5mg in the next few weeks using the last 7.5pen over 10 weeks with a view to coming off completely when that ends

Dumplers · 10/04/2026 09:04

Hi Spiralsister and Narky spirit
Well done ladies on your losses, I'm dreading having to come off MJ or titrate down, even while on it I sometimes seem to be eating more than I was at the beginning.
Omg, the amount I've spent on new clothes. I've had to get rid of stuff I've bought but never worn as too big. I bought size 14s thinking I'll slim in to them and get some wear eventually, I couldn't believe it when they fittted.
Lovely to hear from you both, haven't we all done well? Xx

SpiralSister · 10/04/2026 09:45

We absolutely have! 💐

PurpleCoo · 10/04/2026 20:46

Hi everyone, lovely to hear how people are doing

I am still on MJ and was stuck at the same weight for ages, but I have just come back from a trip in Asia and have lost some more. I am now 65.2kg and a healthy BMI. My goal is 65kg, so close to goal now, but it was an arbitrary goal and not sure whether I want to lose more or not, my lower belly is smaller than it was, but still sticks out too much. Will start titrating down now (have been on 8.75mg for quite a while).

I am enjoying being small. Clothes take up less space and weigh less, so I bring more 'stuff' back in my suitcase.

laundryhamper · 11/04/2026 01:16

Going to try a poll!
If you are still on MJ and have no plans to stop, respond to this post with a clap
If you are still on MJ but are planning to stop on the next three months, respond with a thumbs up.
If you have switched to another GLP1, respond with a heart.
If you have come off everything completely, respond with flowers.
I will tot up the answers and post the results!

PurpleCoo · 11/04/2026 06:28

I can't believe it, I have reached my goal. Weighed in this morning and I am 64.5kg. Yesterday must have been water retention from the 14 hour flight, plus weighing myself in the evening. I was just keen to see what my weight was after my trip.

That's a grand total of 32kg lost, or 5 stone in just about 14 months.

Loose skin isn't a major issue, but it does need to tighten up a bit, as I have very mild crepeing in places, and skin bulges over my bra strap so I don't have a good 'line'.

I will be trying to come off MJ. I won't be rushing, so it might take more than 3 months, or I might speed up a bit of I keep losing too much. I will play it by ear and see what seems right. Next dose will be 7.5mg (from 8.75mg). I have a 15mg pen and a 7.5mg pen in the fridge, so hoping these will do me until the end.

It seems so strange to not need to lose weight. I can't remember ever being the right weight, even though for a lot of my life I was more overweight than obese. A great strange to be though. Hoping the diet changes to high protein and avoiding UPFs will help sustain healthy eating patterns, and my choices will be better even if eating more.

eleanorwish · 11/04/2026 07:23

Been a while for me, still on 15mg of MJ. My weight is bobbing around 11st 1 to 3 at the moment. My weight loss has been temporarily derailed by Easter and DD coming home from uni for a week and demanding her favourite meals! I’ve lost around 4 st by now, still have another 1 to 2 to go to be at a healthy weight. Even though weight loss has been very slow, people are really noticing now. I’m really enjoying being able to go into shops and try on clothes!

Marypoppinsisnosaint · 11/04/2026 10:10

Hey,

It's nice to catch up with everyone! I'm currently bouncing around 12.4-12.6 and have been for ages. I'm currently doing 40 clicks out of my 10mg pen every 10 days.

I'm hoping to lose more but I don't want to increase my dose as I'm worried when I need to come off. Even though I'm not losing people do keep commenting I've lost more. Not sure if it's just because I'm now wearing smaller clothes ( in denial about being a smaller size for ages) or the gym classes are paying off 😂

I do have a big issue of loose skin on my arms, I've always had big arms even in my teens. They are bothering me but I'm going to have to learn to love them as surgery isn't for me.

I'll keep plodding but the summer is looking brighter and lighter ❤️❤️

MrsHero · 11/04/2026 16:37

Nice to catch up! I'm now 9st 3, and have just passed 4st loss, which I could never even have imagined when I started last year. I feel so much better about my body and have spent the last week with the kids in the garden feeling so energised, it's brilliant!

Planning to continue for now, have just started weaning myself down from 10mg, but not really sure how to go about it. I don't think I want to lose any more as have got some lovely new clothes which I would like to keep fitting... but don't want to gain either!

Oh well done you! And well done to all and hi after a little while of radio silence! Am still going on the jab, been maintaining since about last September, my weight is within about a two kg (4lb ish) range. So easy to maintain now, BMI 20.5-20.9ish normally. Hoping to keep gradually titrating down, have made a start from 7.5 to 6.25 since the start of the year. Not sure I want to be on it forever (my bank account- ouch!), but suspect it’s also doing excellent things for my inflammation…

laundryhamper · 28/04/2026 13:50

I just stopped MJ for 3 weeks, in which time I put on almost 4kg, and am back above my target weight.
I have had to restart. That has taught me not to be so smug.

usedtobeaylis · 03/05/2026 16:07

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is doing fantastically. I am all but off Mounjaro now and it is HARD. I'm incredibly still maintaining my weight at the moment though so that's roughly four months at the same weight - six if we include the Christmas gain and re-loss. I do need to still lose more. I feel like I'm creating some kind of new baseline right now and don't feel urgent about it. I can't believe I've stayed the same weight and don't view it as a negative.

Some people might recall my frustrations about not changing dress sizes at all using my weight loss and I think in my last post I mentioned that I thought my body was re-compositioning. I now actually do buy size 14 off the shelf, top and bottom, from just about every shop. It's incredible. Not always reliable - we know how varied sizing is (even my daughter finds this and she's only 11) - but incredibly it's not always that things are too small for me! Quite a few times now I've bought a lovely top from Vinted in a 14 only for it to drown me. I bought pair of Next trousers and they were far too big also, so I reordered in the 12! Me, 12! I feel like if I lose about 1-1.5 stone I will be very happily a consistent size 12.

In other news, my hair is growing back nicely. It feels a lot thicker at the back, and the front bits aren't sticking up crazily any more. My hair is actually doing quite well. I still can't believe the amount that fell out.

The big downside of stopping is definitely the aches returning. I also don't sleep quite as well, although I do still conk out quite quickly. The overhaul of my diet means I'm still managing other issues I had like acid reflux very well so hopefully better sleeping will continue to an extent.

But overall I am in a much different place than this time last year and I hope it assures people that even months after our weight loss has stalled or stopped, our bodies are definitely still changing.

Oh also, I was in a shop yesterday trying on jeans and my bum is back! It had flattened out ridiculously over the last year but with the evident recomposition, my bum has definitely filled out a fair bit again. And thinking about it my face is much softer - I think for a while it was quite harsh looking, but had definite also filled out a bit, but not with the same kind of fatness. So I'm quite happy right now with everything!

MJSpideySenses · 10/05/2026 08:21

Good morning!

Well done to those who are off the mj, I hope it's going ok. And to those who have found it a challenge - I fully imagine thats how it will be for me if I ever get to target

I'm down to 10st2, BMI is 26. I'm getting close but its so slow. I have started swimming and pilates in the last few weeks and will be going to yoga tomorrow. I'm hoping to increase my fitness as well as tone and will then join a more energetic class or go to the gym.

It's taking me longer than I thought and I still struggle to see how much better I look but I know I am healthier.

I hope you're all doing ok, whatever point you are at.

Mounjaroday · 13/05/2026 08:46

Hi everyone. After a few months of being off Mounjaro entirely… I’ve just started again!

I feel ok about it as I made a mistake taking the training wheels off so quickly, and didn’t have a maintenance plan. Thankfully MedExpress agreed and accepted me back on.

The weight gain hasn’t been tragic. My lowest was around 68kg, and I’m now 74.4kg which is officially BMI overweight (just) … but still very, very far away from starting weight of 104kg!

On the plus, my hair is regrowing beautifully and my face has filled out slightly … I don’t have that MJ gaunt look anymore, so I’m ready to go again to get the final few kilos off. My eating habits have changed dramatically, and my alcohol intake is still in check, so overall I’m feeling pretty good.

The only weird thing is looking at my little tummy and feeling a bit crap about my jeans being a bit tight, and those “fat” worthless thoughts tumble back in. Then I remember how absolutely wretched I felt about myself when I was 30kg heavier!!

Wherever you’re at, I hope you are feeling good and proud of your progress.

I'm restarting too! No shame here - obesity is a disease, it's not a weakness or a failing.

MJ cured my IIH before I even lost a single gram. I've had several bouts of dreadful headaches so it looks like even with a 55kg loss (and maintaining that for months without MJ) my IIH is returning. It'll be months before I can get an MRI on the NHS to get confirmation and treatment. No way I'm going back to that hellscape of 24/7 headaches so luckily Pharmulous agreed to restart me.

TheYouYouAre · 13/05/2026 10:19

that's good to know places are letting you restart if the weight gain creeps up. I'm just about to stop after slowly weaning off for the last few months. Haven't lost anything for months now, but am happily sitting around 70kg so hoping to maintain that, but I want a plan B in case it doesn't work!

Marypoppinsisnosaint · 13/05/2026 18:40

Hello all!

Nice to hear some updates. I'm still ploughing on, currently doing 20 clicks from my 10mg pen every 10 days.

I'm bouncing between 12stone and 12.3lb which I'm finding frustrating but I don't want to go up as I'm hoping to come down and off.

I'm still not kind to myself in the mirror even after losing 6 stone. I have a lot of loose skin on my arms and that's all I seem to focus on especially when I'm doing my fitness classes. All I can see is them jiggling about 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I've recently started listing my old clothes on Vinted and one of the main takeaways is how much it lacks colour! So much black!! I hadn't noticed before!

On a positive note, I'm off on a hen do in a few weeks and guess what.... I'm only packing a bikini!! Never in my life have I worn one EVER!!

Stay strong everyone, you're all bloody amazing 😍

eleanorwish · 13/05/2026 19:25

Hello, I haven’t updated for a while, as my weight loss has been slow for a while. I spent several weeks between 11 st 1 and 11 st 3. It’s finally started moving again, I ‘m currently around 10 st 10. I’ve been on 15 mg since January and it still seems to be working. I reckon I have about 1 to 2 st to lose to get to a healthy weight. Weight loss so far is 4 and a half stones

laundryhamper · 14/05/2026 13:35

@Marypoppinsisnosaint Six stone is epic 👏

Mounjaroday · 15/05/2026 21:30

Really great to hear how you’re all doing. This group continues to be a fantastic support.

Fresh batch of Mounjaro has arrived and now sitting quietly in the fridge. I already feel more relaxed and in control. It’s Friday night and I’ve gone to bed sober: quite the change from the old days.

I realise now, how dramatically my weight was holding me back. I have finally found the capacity to start addressing other areas of my life. I still suffer from depression and anxiety (definitely less severe now I am not obese, but still a big issue unfortunately) so finally spoke to the GP. I started my first counselling session today 🎉

GP did offer me antidepressants but I declined when she mentioned that a common side effect is increased appetite and weight gain. If I know one thing, it’s that being really fat makes me very unhappy so I can’t willingly open the door to it again.

I still haven’t sorted out my employment situation but I am working on it. Not being so body conscious makes it a lot easier to put myself out there.

Keep fighting the good fight, warriors 😘

Hi all,

SW:- 14st 12
CW:- 11st
TW:- 9st 6

I changed to W and have been bobbing around 10st 11-10st 12 for the last month. Then I went on an AI holiday and gained 5 1/2lbs! Most of it has come off within a week of being home thankfully. But still it was a shock (but shouldn't have been).

Off out for a meal tomorrow with dp, SIL and nephew then I'm away all week for work so living out of a hotel. Can't see my weight going down.

Took my jab this morning I've increased to 2.4mg so hoping that will help.

well done to you all that have got to target!- I'm well jealous!
