Roll up, roll up (if you can, you skinny Minnie’s!) to all the brave WL warriors still battling on and hanging on in there.

8 months in … welcome to thread 8! 🥰

This thread I pledge:
to do two exercise sessions per week.
(There I’ve said it. Better do it now, hadn’t I).

Goal:
Find an amazing dress to wear for an awards ceremony I am going to in November.

Anyone else got any particular targets?

Big love to you all x

A bit stuck here myself. I lost most of my weight on 2.5mg. After about 6 months I ended up getting 5mg and counting clicks so went through 3mg then 3.75 then 4 and eventually at about a year in onto 5mg. Here I am at 16 months in. I’ve lost just over 6 stone and feel amazing. But I have stalled. I am in the overweight rather than obese category which is great, but I still need to lose about another stone to be in the healthy weight band. After about 5 weeks of nothing changing and feeling like the food noise was creeping up I went up to 7.5mg. Done a pen and golden dose on that and still nothing. I keep losing then putting back on the same 1lb.

Feel a bit stuck to be honest. I have upped my water and protein and fibre. I am counting and in deficit and getting suppression and being full on smaller portions still.

I am at the weight I was in my 30’s which is great and feel healthier and fitter. Down to size 12/14 clothes. Knees and hip pain gone, asthma way improved. I was lucky I was not diabetic or had high blood pressure at the start but feel the loses have pulled me back from the brink of both of those. Just spent the morning gardening and loved every second, just feel full of energy.

I am torn, it feels like I need to get down to the healthy band, but feels like my body is comfortable at this level and doesn’t want to go lower lol.

I don’t want to go higher on dose as the side effects are worse, first 2 weeks it really kicked my ass and even now get the headache and nausea for the first 24 hrs after. Feels like I am suffering for 1-2 days a week, but getting no where.

Anyone here have a long plateau? Any ideas of what I can do to get things moving again? Or do I just keep going and give it chance for my body to adjust.

Hello!

How is everyone doing?!

I hope your plateau is over @mumandgran24 . It can be so stressful.

Hi! I had reached my goal weight, and was reducing my dose very very slowly. However, I seem to have gained 3-4kg over the past couple of months. In fairness the low weight was after getting back from traveling in Asia and I never eat much when traveling plus walking miles and miles every day, so I guess it was a false low. But I think it's this heatwave effecting my ability to exercise and my dog has been sort of unwell (nothing serious just impacts on walks a bit). The weight gain is real though and I am hungrier, so I am going to up my dose again to get things under control. I had hoped to come off and maintain, but I guess all of this is learning about vulnerabilities so I can plan for the future. The most weight has definitely been the last month.

Generally I am still exercising as much, and keeping up with the weights, but had some minor injuries or illnesses, plus I travel a lot on the summer, so it disrupts the exercise routine a bit, so there have been some understandable gaps. Still loving the exercise though, so I don't feel as though I am making excuses. I think I am making good decisions to not lift when injured or ill. My body is changing shape, my arms and shoulders are starting to look muscly and defined but not large and bulky. Bingo wings have definitely improved, but still need to lose some fat on them, same with belly.

I have stopped tracking calories, but I am still sticking to the same sort of meals as before, although I do have some treats when on holiday. Even when eating out though I am still choosing better options, so going for Vietnamese, Japanese or Korean rather than burger and chips or a roast dinner.

Hope everyone else is doing well

I, unfortunately, just couldn’t afford it anymore and had to stop. It’s been a couple of months now. Food noise is still not there. Although I do actually hear my tummy growling now. I do eat all three meals now but the best thing is that my bowel movements are back to normal. I haven’t put on any weight as I’m still eating healthy and working out.

Well done Panda. I know it’s tough without the meds. Keep going.

I have now had a small loss so hope things are starting to shift. It’s nice to hear about what happens when u come off the meds as I would like to if I can manage it eventually.
