Roll up, roll up (if you can, you skinny Minnie’s!) to all the brave WL warriors still battling on and hanging on in there.

8 months in … welcome to thread 8! 🥰

This thread I pledge:
to do two exercise sessions per week.
(There I’ve said it. Better do it now, hadn’t I).

Goal:
Find an amazing dress to wear for an awards ceremony I am going to in November.

Anyone else got any particular targets?

Big love to you all x

Brilliant start to the new thread! Thank you 💐

My main target is to get below BMI 25, curse it!

Mounjaroday · 12/10/2025 20:35

Bloody hell, you look incredible in those pics @SpiralSister - what a difference.

Ah, thanks love!

Zibb · 12/10/2025 20:56

All you teeny tinies!! Looking fab!

I need to find jeans that fit my legs and my waist but aren't wide leg/palazzo. I have got huge chunky legs still and it makes trouser shopping hard but jeans are impossible. My calves are still 46cm!! Wtf. I lost 3cm off my calves 4ish months ago and they've stayed the same ever since. Makes me so sad. :(

I've had a dress for about 8 years, I love it, it's always been my "I'll slim into this one day" dress. I haven't tried it on since the end of August when it didn't quite do up over the bazoomas and was a little tight on the lower belly. Well I put it on today and it's too bloody big! Drooping and hanging off me. A bit pleased but also gutted that I'll never actually get to wear it out!

WoolerOwl · 12/10/2025 21:28

Reposting from the old thread:

Well, I can report that washing all my too big trousers on a hot wash, and then boiling them in the tumble dryer has had . . . precisely no effect. Except using a load of electricity and creating a big ironing pile. They’re going in the too big box, moving house with me, and I’ll review next year whether I think they’re worth taking to the seamstress.

PS @SpiralSister You look great!

Mounjaroday · 12/10/2025 21:38

I’ll say it again: good to have you back @Zibb Maybe you could have that dress you love altered?

When are you moving @WoolerOwl? Exciting!

Just checking in x

WoolerOwl · 12/10/2025 21:55

In two weeks’ time. It’s all packing cartons round here at the moment. My aim, since knowing at the end of April that we’d be moving around now, was to get goal by the end of October. I’ve actually managed the original goal, but have since lowered it by another 3kg. I think I’ll still count it as a win though! And it’s so good to plan only to move the clothes that fit, except the small, freshly washed, newly ironed, and not actually any smaller “wait and see” box.

CoolLimeSheep · 13/10/2025 08:42

@SpiralSister you look so good 😍
@WoolerOwl good luck moving it can be stressful but good to get rid of many clothes so not taking with. @Zibb so glad your back
@Mounjaroday plan is keep up with classes maybe try a few new ones.
Periods gone regular again but hit me like ton of bricks this morning 🤣
Keep going everyone your all fantastic 👏

Oh bugger @Zibb
i empathise tho as the same has happened to me this weekend……
back in the late 2000s - in the original Sex in the City days - I bought A Dress. From Issa. it was all the rage. Grazia would have shots of celebrities in NYC, LA, London etc in the Issa dress in various colours wearing Ugg boots….. you get the picture!
anyway. As soon as it was available in a size 14 I purchased it in red but I have never been able to wear it. Yesterday I found it at the back of my wardrobe. Label still on.
and yes. Much to my upset. It is now too Blardy Big. Gutted 😭

Umthisisabitawkward · 13/10/2025 09:21

Just checking in - sitting at just over 3 stone lost so far and have FINALLY squeaked into the top end of the healthy BMI range. About 7lb to go to goal. I’ve had the same with a couple of ‘maybe I’ll slim into them one day’ dresses which I’ve rediscovered, tried on and now they’re too blimming big. GNNN. I mean, it’s a nice problem to have but jeez 🙄 Off to the US to visit family in a couple of weeks and a bit worried about what I’ll eat when I’m there - they eat a LOT of red meat and potatoes and not much veg. We shall see how that pans out, I forecast some sulphur burps and stomachache in my future!

CoolLimeSheep · 13/10/2025 09:38

@Zibb It's frustrating and satisfying at same time ain't it. Ive currently got hardly any clothes again couple of new leggings shorts and a couple of dresses so need new wardrobe again preferably a winter one as like most of you have said its bloody cold now we've slimmed down.
Ive also gained a cold which im.struggling shift and my nose is sore from blowing it 🤧🤣 im just going rest today and early night 🌙

sweetpickle2 · 13/10/2025 09:56

Thanks for the new thread @Mounjaroday

Jab day for me today and I am FINALLY in the 70s (only just mind), can't believe how much I've lost overall, its amazing really. And finally in in the healthy BMI (again only just, at 24.7 😂)

Went clothes shopping on Friday at a shopping centre, so really made myself pick up things I liked and try them on. What it taught me is that no matter how well you've done or how much you've lost, a body is a body and I didn't automatically look good in everything. The same way that nobody does! A good reminder that losing weight isn't a magical silver bullet to self-esteem (although it felt good picking up 12s rather than 18s!)

Good luck for this week everyone!

Well done everyone, and nice to see you @Zibb 🙂

How nice is it to have a shower and be able to use the smaller towels. The one I used this morning I vividly remember using some time last year along with another smaller one when we had a washing backlog. Two smaller towels. Now I used it on its own and it wrapped around comfortably.

Despite having only lost half a stone in the last two months, I had comments last week from work colleagues and a woman I know vaguely but hadn't seen since around July.

CoolLimeSheep · 13/10/2025 12:06

Sweetpickle2 wohooo on progress.
Pics for anyone in plateu this what juniper advised not sure if will work but worth a try.

Hi all im back on mounjaro is was off for 6 weeks and i couldn't cope any more so im on week 3 of 2mg and looking to budget for my next jab buts its worth it the feeling when your off it is really bad

usedtobeaylis · 13/10/2025 12:57

Has anyone ever heard of anyone using Mounjaro as needed or if there's anything been written about it? Yesterday was jag day and I felt like I didn't really need it which got me thinking about potentially as I'm tapering down not taking a set dose at a set time. It's not something I would just charge into doing without a fair bit of reading up on it though as I don't know how effective intermittent doses would even be or if there could be unintended consequences.

sweetpickle2 · 13/10/2025 13:02

I was doing this for the past month, basically going longer between jabs to try and get even more out of it/taper down. A friend of mine got to goal about six months ago and now just jabs as and when she needs it- ie when back off a holiday or when she feels the weight creeping back up. I realise thats anecdotal rather than evidence based!

Mariocatgran · 13/10/2025 14:10

Newbie here well old newbie back

Probablyawake · 13/10/2025 14:27

I think I've missed a thread or so but marking my place!
Nearly 6 stone down now, looking to lose another 2-3 maybe. Enjoying shopping for clothes again after years of hating having to settle for things in my size 😃
BMI down from 46 to 35
SW 23stone2
CW 17stone6
Size 24 to 16-18!
Not convinced about 'healthy bmi', looking more at how I feel and my dress size as another 6 stone feels too much for me.

This actually sounds like the dream. My question would be though, how do you square this with your provider?

sweetpickle2 · 13/10/2025 15:35

My friend has just stocked up on loads of pens.

I have a stash of 2 in the fridge, but after 12th Nov I would have to go back down to 2.5mg if I ordered anymore as that will be 12 weeks since I last ordered. So I suppose I would have to order another before then in order to continue with this.

@SpiralSister you look fantastic, well done. So amazing to see everyone’s progress and hard work paying off

@sweetpickle2 I still have a dose left in a pen, and an unopened 7.5mg pen, but just ordered another to avoid having too long a break and it causing issues with ordering. Also, as I get 6 doses out of my pen, I could well have a healthy bmi by then, so it might be trickier trying to switch when technically on maintenance. I have gone with a subscription, and you can delay the date quite easily by the looks of things, so at least I can slow them down a bit (within limits I imagine)

narkyspirit · 14/10/2025 05:44

its great to see the progression that so many have made, Ive been plateauing now for best part of a month with small increases in weight the last 2 weeks

Sw 95.9
Cw 76.4
Loss 19.5 kg

last pen was a 10mg taking a week off jab, I'm wanting to drop the jab so next pen is 7.5 due on Friday, then look to be down to 2.5 by Christmas and off by end of Feb which will be a year on Mounjaro. weight at that point will just be what it is and I'll live with it!
