I'm finding it really tough at the moment. I'm just finishing up my 15mg pen before moving over to wegovy and I am really struggling with food noise for the last few weeks. Little treats have been sneaking back in and becoming a regular feature again rather than a treat.

I also can't handle OMAD I'm so hungry after my morning workout and walk that there's no way I could make it through to dinner without eating!

So many positive inspiring comments to catch up on! Love the before and after pics, everyone is looking brilliant!

@Rainbowcat77 I've never tried OMAD but even with MJ I cannot imagine being able to do it! I generally eat 3 meals, sometimes will end up not having breakfast because work is busy and I feel pretty OK getting to lunch without it but on the whole I'm still a 3 meals a day person (just not having all the stuff in between!).

I had an NSV this week which wouldn't sound like one to most people...I fit into size 22 jeans! Honestly, I felt so skinny in them 😂Have been on 10mg for a while and definitely noticing food noise creeping in though- have really been wanting sweets and chocolate and picking at them and other things a lot. I jab tonight - have a 12.5mg pen which I was debating continuing to take 10mg from but think I might go up to 12.5mg. Remain worried about the higher doses wearing off while I still have loads to lose although I know several of you have said that didn't happen to you.

Onwards and downwards crew. Xx

I'm having the same dilemma with my 10mg pen. I have the 5th dose left in my current pen (which I can probably get nearly a 12.5dose out of if I'm lucky) and then one 10mg pen left in the fridge which I think I could get 4 x 12.5 doses out of. But I'm worried about having nowhere to go once I get to 15mg with a long way still to go.

10mg has been the dose I've lost the least weight per week on , 5mg was my best and I should have stuck there but hindsight is a wonderful thing!

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 16/10/2025 10:19

@Fffreeeeezing I've been on 15mg MJ for ages and it's still working for me.

In fact, I moved to Wegovy because of the price hikes. CheqUp gave me the highest dose of Wegovy (2.4mg) because I was on the highest dose of MJ.

I find that Wegovy works as well as MJ, although there isn't a bonus dose in the pen. However, with CheqUp discount codes, I've only paid £10 for my last two Wegovy pens. That's a massive difference from paying nearly £300 for MJ.

I did order a 12.5mg MJ pen from Medino last week, because I'm nearly at my goal, and would like to see what happens when going downwards.

I will do maintenance on Wegovy though. The price is very, very good.

@Fffreeeeezing I’ve been on 15mg since April and I’m still consistently losing, it’s the optimal dose for me and I’m not worried at all about it not working at all. I’m planning to switch to wegovy in December for maintenance. My advice would be to try it rather than struggle on a lower dose.

Congrats on the losses!

Just in response to you and anyone else considering OMAD - I'm a massive fan of fasting just because of the science behind it regarding insulin response. But your comment spoke to me because you say you are hungry after your morning walk - why does OMAD need to be in the evening? If you're a breakfast person then eat in the morning or after exercise.

The beauty of OMAD is that there's no calories/recipes/food diary etc to follow and track, and so you can work it around you and your schedule.

I worked my way up to OMAD, personally. I previously did 2 meals a day, then down to eating within a 4 hour window and now do OMAD regularly 2-3 days a week, with the help of MJ. I don't think I could have done it just off the bat.

mamabeeboo · 16/10/2025 12:28

Hope everyone is having a great day!

My snacking has started to creep back in. What do skinny people eat? Do they actually go days and days without sweet food? Is that what is normal?

I'm paying the price today with a 3 pound gain😑

I had 2 x 90 cal chocolate bars and some hula hoops yesterday and the day before that I was out with a friend and had a very rich dessert.

I know it's just temporary and the scales will move again, but my genuine question is if normal people actually go days and days without eating sweet food? I didn't actually think what I ate was that much, or if my years of disordered eating has warped my metality of what is normal.

I'm not a skinny person but don't ever think of sweet foods. Crisps and cheese have always been my downfall. I can go weeks without any sugar

Iwouldratherbesinging · 16/10/2025 14:52

@mamabeeboo my DD is 37 and has been a size 8/10 all her adult life. She eats crap at weekends only, but sensible portions of crap! I have known her to only eat half of her dinner so she can ‘leave room’ for the toblerone she had planned for that evening. She eats three meals a day but not big portions and has a McDonald’s or Domino’s at least once a week, she does a lot of resistance training. I think she’s pretty normal 😂

PearlsPearl · 16/10/2025 14:52

Two fun things for me to report!

First, yesterday I got out of garage the bags of clothes packed away in there before we moved to our old house in 2018. And I expected to be miserable BUT it was all mostly too big now, yay! I got a few things out of them (shirts mainly, good for the new job) and 8 bags off to the charity shop cos they're too big. GREAT feeling.

Second, I had to completely defuzz my entire nunny 😱for a medical procedure I've got coming up.. and it was easy! I could reach it and see it all! Instead of reaching down and attacking blindly!

😁

I've said about OMAD before, it could never work for me cos I love my food, rarely miss meals as hate the feeling. On mj though I'm totally happy with my 3 meals and that's me done with the odd treat. Glad it works for others but food is my routine and comfort, even on mj.

Today: coffee and mini belvita for breakfast, protein bagel with cottage cheese and mango and lime chicken for lunch, 2 chocolate florentines, and tonight we're having breakfast for dinner- sausages, beans, bacon, eggs, hash browns. I'll eat it all and end the day full and happy within my 1260 calories.

Iwouldratherbesinging · 16/10/2025 15:51

@PearlsPearl what time is tea? I’ll be over! More appealing than my planned bowl of roasted veg 😂

This is why we are all different, I would far rather the bowl of roasted vegetables! Sorry @PearlsPearl I'm sure it will be delicious but not for me.

My dinner tonight is slow cooker chicken with honey and garlic with rice and stir fried vegetables. I can smell it cooking.

TragicMuse · 16/10/2025 17:12

I have a sliding scale of numbers of meals a day. Today, no breakfast because I was out early and not hungry. Lunch was a chicken salad, some crispy seaweed and a banana. I’ve had 225 calories total. It’ll probably be a fish finger butty later! Or a tin of soup. Or beans on toast. Something small anyway. Today I just cannot be arsed with much else tbh…could be different tomorrow.

I am on day 1 of 10mg though. It will ease back to normal in a while. So I’m going to take advantage while I can.

Motnight · 16/10/2025 17:53

@PearlsPearl love both your NSVs! I hope that your medical procedure goes well.

I have just noticed a bizarre NSV. My stretch marks are actually disappearing or at least fading hugely 😯. I had them all over my stomach - they were red and angry looking. Now faded to silver and far less noticeable.

TragicMuse · 16/10/2025 18:32

I was away at the weekend with lots of people I only see once a year. Most of them older than me (I’m 60) and who have not had the don’t-comment-on-people’s-bodies memo!

There was a lot of ‘WOW, you’ve lost SO MUCH weight’. But happily no judgement. It was a bit weird at first, after the radio-silence at home!

Ach, it was fine. They also loved my short hair and remarked on that just as much!

Autumnflowers2 · 17/10/2025 05:39

Rainbowcat77 · 16/10/2025 07:41

Lots of people on here and IRL seem to recommend OMAD, is there anybody else who can’t get on with it?
I tried it and really struggled, was exhausted and very low in mood then ended up eating crap for my one meal because I felt so low.
little and often works for me much better at the moment.
i suppose our bodies are all diffferent.

I do it for a bit ...if weight loss is slow ,but then I find i feel faint and need a sandwich,so that's the end of it for a few days .
When I can do it and not feel faint ,I feel better in myself

Autumnflowers2 · 17/10/2025 05:40

BMI 36 ..wow me ..I'm used to seeing numbers in the 50 s

Autumnflowers2 · 17/10/2025 05:45

I've been reading stuff on here and social media about people switching to wavygo and piling the weight on ..one woman said she put 6 pounds on .
I have a wavygo pen ( thanks broom) that I'm due to start the day before we go on holiday for half term .
I'm not convinced this is a good idea ..
How long can wavygo be kept un opened in the fridge ?
I'm doing so well ,I've hit 9 stone 1 pound off ..I don't think I'm in the right place mentally to cope with side effects or weight gain from a change of medication

MummyInTheNecropolis · 17/10/2025 06:14

Weigh day for me today, and I’m 3lbs down this week, taking my total loss to 11 stone 1. Still can’t quite believe it! I’m out for dinner with friends tonight, we’re going to a nice sushi restaurant, I plan to have whatever I fancy but I know I won’t overindulge, I love the fact that I’m able to treat myself to a nice meal now knowing it won’t knock me off track, or lead to a binge. It feels so freeing!

Motnight · 17/10/2025 07:22

@Autumnflowers2 and @MummyInTheNecropolis both your weight losses are amazing.

SilenceInside · 17/10/2025 07:33

@Autumnflowers2 I would think that the Wegovy pen and the box it came in would have an expiry date printed on it, like the Mounjaro pens? That would be how long you could keep it for unopened in the fridge. Should be a few months or more I’d have thought.

Missingducks · 17/10/2025 08:29

Jabbed on Weds having moved up to 7.5 after 18 weeks on 5 and yesterday was a rough day for nausea / indigestion but meant it was an effortless day for food choices!

eibbed999 · 17/10/2025 08:52

Had a traumatic experience last night - got an Uber to the pub quiz and couldn't fasten the seatbelt! This hasn't happened to me for so long I'd almost forgotten it was a thing. The guy had an extender in his glove box, so I'm telling myself he must have an unusually short seatbelt! It was a bit of a wake up call though. I never want to go back to that happening every time I get a cab.

eibbed999 · 17/10/2025 08:55

On a brighter note, I did wear this absolutely gorgeous Seasalt dress, and I felt curvy rather than just fat!

Mounjaro 10st (or more) to lose Thread 8
Motnight · 17/10/2025 09:37

@eibbed999 that is rubbish re the seatbelt. I agree that it must have been a very short seatbelt for the Uber driver to have an extender. I spent years getting into Ubers with very little hope of doing up the seatbelt.

Your dress is lovely. I bought a Seasalt dress earlier this year and liked it so much that I then bought it in 2 other patterns! All in the sale but still...

SilenceInside · 17/10/2025 09:38

Week 67 weigh in.

SW: 139kg (21st 12 lbs)
CW: 74.1kg (11st 9lbs), was 75.1kg (11st 11lbs)
GW: 73kg (11st 7lbs) sixth interim goal
BMI: 26.9

Current pen: 10mg, 23 weeks on this dose.

Pleased with a 1kg/2lbs loss this week I have been doing OMAD this week which has worked really well for me. Plus it was interesting to try something different for a change, this weight loss journey has been going on for a loooong time and it does get a bit meh sometimes. I am also pleased to squeak my BMI under 27 for the first time. It feels great to be in the lower half of the overweight category.
