Hi @Woodywig yeah I could eat that no problem. At the beginning I had mega suppression but it was gone by about 8/10 weeks. Now I can eat normally. Also I’ve never had side effects from what I’ve eaten. I try and stay under 1300 a day but do often go over and I’m fine. I get hungry a lot! But the difference is I can ignore it. And I don’t get the physical hunger I used to get, sore belly, feel sick, head spinny feelings. I feel completely fine, just aware I’m hungry. But not obsessively so.

I had another comment this week about how I was disappearing and that I couldn't possibly still be overweight. Meant kindly and definitely not as a snipe, but people do seem incredulous that I am still overweight, and not just a little bit. My BMI is just a smidge under 28 - I'd like to lose another 2 stone and it will be another one and a half stone before I am officially a healthy weight with BMI under 25. Is it symptomatic of the fact that most people are overweight or obese, and that what a healthy weight looks like is just unfamiliar to people?

flipent · 16/09/2025 09:39

Why does moving down a stone bracket feel so good 😂
Felt like it was taking forever. But now starts with a 17 which is very exciting!

SW: 283lb 20st 3lb (mid July 2025)
CW: 251lb 17st 13lb
TW: 140lb 10st (Although this still feels like a big ask!)

Loses have been relatively steady (feels fast, but looking at the averages after the first two weeks I'm at 2lb a week which is great!)

I think it's exactly that. When the average size is 16 that person ( was me ) is likely obese and 4 or 5 stone too heavy. We see it all around us. My view is shifting a bit though and I'm starting to see healthier looking bodies and being impressed. I don't know if anyone watches Australian MasterChef but I saw Julie Goodwin a couple of days ago and she looks unrecognisable. Fit, muscular and maybe 10 stone lighter. My friend has lost 50lb through diet and exercise and is so muscular now, I've lost more than twice that and am still flabby.

Woodywig · 16/09/2025 10:19

Thanks everyone for the replies to my message re appetite on MJ - so helpful to understand other people experiences- really appreciate it.

SilenceInside · 16/09/2025 10:22

@Doggymummar wow, I have just looked up Julie Goodwin and she looks amazing, really impressed by her upper body muscles! And I like her attitude and comments on the attention that her weight loss and changing shape have garnered.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 16/09/2025 10:25

It's a combination of that and not seeing us as "thin".

I mean as individuals. Our friends and family are very used to seeing us obese. That's been our norm for many years.

It's difficult for everyone to perceive us as thin people. We're not supposed to be thin. We're the fat ones of the group.

But yes, also, I'm sure that because there are a great many overweight and obese people around nowadays, that judgement on healthy BMIs is completely skewed.

@Woodywig I was thinking about your question.

At the end of my week and just before jab I could probably manage a small roast and maybe a tiny bit of pudding. But I would be pushing it!

I had amazingly strong suppression at the start of each new strength though it does fade. Now, I’ve been on 7.5 for a good while and although I don’t get the same suppression it is still there. It’s just weaker. So it’s more helping my decisions rather than being so strong I don’t even have a decision.

I went out for dinner on jab day last week, the dish had 6 new potatoes on the plate, I still only managed 3. But then I had a scoop of ice cream for pudding which I wanted.

I choose not to have the office biscuits but I’m not then looking at them with a sad face wishing I could have them! Or, I’ll have the chippy fish and ignore the chips because if I think about it I don’t actually want the chips. That’s what it’s doing for me.

I average around 1100-1200 calories a day, usually less at the weekend because I sleep later so don’t have breakfast and lunch!

But overall, I put less on my plate (I weigh it) and am usually satisfied with at least half and often more like a third of what I used to serve myself.

EverybodysALebowski · 16/09/2025 11:22

Minor NSV: not only are my clothes hanging better (and maybe a bit loosely), my undies seem to now be too big. Thankfully not so big they'll fall down (that would be tragic), but still a nice surprise.

I’ve had a few people at work tell me this week that I need to stop losing weight now, and I can’t possibly have more to lose - I’m still obese! I’m almost 10 stone down but my BMI is still 32 so I am nowhere near thin, let alone ‘too thin’ as I’ve been told!

WafflingDreamer · 16/09/2025 12:35

@Woodywig I had good suppression from about 10mg but mainly it would wear off around 5 or 6 days post jab. However even with good suppression I would still aim for around 1300/1400 calories a day. After I got to 10mg I moved up doses after around 9/10 weeks when I would struggle to resist the treats and stick to my calories.

Annoyingly now I'm at 15mg and find that I need to use so much more willpower. I find it really hard some days, my tricky moments are taking leftovers from the kids and wanting the kids snacks. I try really hard not to buy snacks that I pretend are for the kids but are actually for me. I ask the kids if they have leftovers that their dad might want for his dinner to pop it all on a plate and put it in the microwave or just bin it.

The hardest thing I find as I'm 6.5st down now i need 1500 calories to lose weight so then aiming at 1300/1400 means the odd extra treat can push me up into maintenance quite easily.

Thanks for new thread:)

Has anyone here ended up with 2 suppliers at the same time? I was having trouble with Medino a while back so I went to e surgery. In the end I got one from both, no harm done as a one off, but not really necessary or financially sustainable longer term! But now I'm guessing I'll have 2 suppliers on my medical records, slightly overlapping, and my paranoid brain is slightly concerned...what if they think I'm selling it on the black market? What if the FBI turn up and kick my door down???

Autumnflowers2 · 16/09/2025 15:22

I think I said on the last thread ,I'm trying to eat normally and have 2 or 3 small meals a day ..
That's still not working out for me
I find I'm loosing on OMAD
If I include a lunch ,it seems to stop weight loss 😕
Its still very slow ,but slightly moving again .
This is obviously going to be a long journey

That's funny, no one's kicking your door down. I can't see anyone being bothered with a small overlap.

Yes she looks fantastic 😍 I m not sure it's true that she lost weight naturally, but that's up to her what she wants to tell people. She looks strong and fit and healthy however she has done it.

I’ve got the same issue and my paranoid brain is also kicking in! I’m also unclear whether I signed up to a subscription with the second supplier as I did it in a panic about availability and price - what a wally…

Ha ha, me too with the subscription - but from what I've read about mine you still have to confirm you want each order, and pay for each separately, so not too stressed about ending it. But I do currently have two suppliers reminding me I need to re-order, and I'm not sure which to stick with.

I feel better knowing it’s not just me! I feel like I’ve read an email like that from my second supplier actually, I’ll have to dig through emails and see what’s what! And yes, same, both now reminding me and one (possibly both) offering a discount. Which was probably always going to happen haha

I've had several suppliers simultaneously.

I'm sure that nobody cares. GP surgeries have far too much to do to worry about this, and the police will simply not know or care.

I also have Medino and esurgery. So far Medino still haven’t said a word about the price rises or, well, anything really.

I have a 10mg from esurgery and am considering using it for 7.5mg dosing instead which would make it go longer.

And so far neither have offered a code or a discount so I’m going to give it a little longer before reordering.

Medino gives everyone an 8% code, each time you buy something.
It's at the end of the email they send when dispatching an order.
You have 28 days to use it.

Hi all, I had over 10 st to lose but in reality I think I will be happy with 8ish st. I started end of August last year at 23st 3lbs so nearly 13 months in and I’ve lost 5st 11lbs so far. I’m much slower than some but I can’t really go below 1300 cals a day as I still have an appetite just no cravings for junk food.

PearlsPearl · 16/09/2025 17:07

@eibbed999 nobody is noting, noticing, or caring. I've used different suppliers every month. I got 3 pens before the price increase from 3 different providers on the same day.

Honestly... total none issue.
