Sorry I might bring the mood down, I'm at a loss and a bit upset that I seem to be gaining and am not sure why. It's really frustrating and I don't want to put it all back but that's what I keep thinking is going to happen. I don't know how to reset when I am still doing what I've been doing from the start. I thought it was a blip but every time I weigh now I'm heavier. What if it's stopped working.

Sorry to hear that, can you tell us a bit more about what you're doing to see if anyone has any suggestions? Are you counting calories?

SilenceInside · 12/10/2025 11:59

@Lds1 I think it's very understandable to be thrown by a weight gain and to fear the worst. How many weeks have you had a gain? Could it be related to stress and sleep?

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 12/10/2025 12:12

Hi @Lds1 I find that if my weight is static for a week or two, the only thing that resets things is fasting.

So I do OMAD for four days. I eat only between 4.30pm - 6.30pm. I drink lots of tea and water all day long, but only eat during those two hours.

It's quite difficult, but it works for me, and once the scales start to go downwards again, I find that my body has worked out what to do.

The evenings are quite hard. But being on MJ (or Wegovy) puts a lid on my appetite.

When I go to bed, having succeeded in only eating during those two hours, I feel great. Really virtuous and a bit smug. I know I couldn't have done this without GLP1s.

Amazing diff @Iwouldratherbesinging

Lds1 · 12/10/2025 20:08

@RenegadeKeeblerElf I don't track in the week as it's the same foods each day so I know what's in them without tracking, on a weekend I eat different food but track calories and have remained within calories which is why it's upsetting/frustrating that I'm gaining. I'm not sure what I can change.

I drink so much water too.

I might have to try omad like @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne and see if it helps. I know I can not eat breakfast as I didn't used to eat that before.

How much have you lost? Have you recalculated your calories based on your new weight?

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 12/10/2025 20:48

Hello! waves .I've not been around for a while (had a really stressful week or so) but the loss is happening here. I'm 15st 1 which seems impossible. Where I've not been focussing on it its just been happening in the background.

I did find on 10mg I was very very sulphur burpy and decided to go down to 8 - this is third week of 8 on Friday and this last week it was much better. I really don't want to eat though. I have no idea what is going on. It could be that I had a few weeks on 10 with all the gi stuff and I've just broken that desire to eat. I'm regularly saying no to things. I went down partly so i could uel up on "good fats" again to see if it would help the lethargy. I am still very very tired but part of that has been not sleeping...

It has been a real rollercoaster of a week - some real highs and some real lows zzz.

Amazing to see everyone's photos and victories ❤

NSV today - after only a couple of weeks of wearing size 14 jeans they are already feeling loose so I went into Primark today and tried on a pair of size 12s to see how far off I am from wearing them - they bloody fit! I was so shocked I tried 3 more pairs in different styles just to check it wasn’t a fluke. They all fit! I’ve never been a size 12 in my life and never imagined it would be possible!

Iwouldratherbesinging · 12/10/2025 22:31

@Lds1 I do OMAD and keep it under approximately 500 calories twice a week, on a Monday and a Thursday - basically it’s the 5:2 plan and it’s really easy to do, like Broom, I drink plenty of sparkling flavoured water all day, I still have my morning coffee as I can’t do without it. I’ve been doing it for years, when I wasn’t on MJ it helped me to not gain weight.

bloody hell @MummyInTheNecropolis! That’s one hell of an achievement 🌟

I have been away for some days and it’s involved formal and informal dinners every night. I haven’t gone back to my old ways, but it’s very difficult to calculate calories on sauces! So while I think I have done mostly ok overall and haven’t gone mad, my logging has me over on my calories every day! Not by lots. But over all the same.

I’ve had what I wanted but only as much as I wanted. And I wanted less than I would have in the past. Last night’s culprit was prawn crackers - I love the texture!

I’ll be weighing tomorrow morning in advance of WI and jab on Wednesday. Fingers crossed it hasn’t rocketed despite my best efforts!

It’s been a great time though!

Morning losers, hope all is well!
Checking in and wishing everyone a great week on my favourite thread. 👋

Just shy of 6 stone loss (with another 4 to go) and I'm getting more and more comments from people. I know many people get excited and encouragement that other people notice their weightloss, but I sort of dread it. I find it very embarrassing that I'm considered "less fat". And desperately try to change the subject. 😅I have a family event in a few weeks and getting a bit nervous about the comments, or people looking at me and noticing the change. Does anyone else feel the same?

On the bright side, I had a wonderful run yesterday. I gave up listening to C25K people because their narration annoyed me 😄 and I hated not knowing how much longer I had to run for. So I got the jist of it, and downloaded my own interval timer app on my phone and I can see how long I have to run for. I did a full 30 min run, with a 2 min walk in the middle. I AM BUZZING!! I've been eyeing up a 5k event in March in my local area, and I'm considering signing up to keep me motivated to run during the winter months. The only thing stopping me is that there's a time limit of 45 mins to do the 5k, and I'm not sure if I can make that time just yet. But I also reckon by March I'll be at least a couple more stone down....? Just rambling now 😂

Fffreeeeezing · 13/10/2025 11:03

@mamabeeboo we're weightloss twins- I'm also at 5st10 loss to date 😁

JustAnotherSod · 13/10/2025 11:31

Hi everyone - its so inspiring to read everyone's updates on this thread - I was thinking earlier about something I read here at the start of the year - the weeks and months will pass regardless of whether we started WLI - what's the worst that could happen if we started. It's been so true for me - here I am 40 weeks in, and starting WLI really has been life changing in so many ways.

Here's my update at the end of pen 10 - after a busy four weeks which included a week away on holiday and a few days ill with what I think was Covid - but some more huge milestones hit this pen, including having exceeded 8 stone lost this morning, which I'm still not sure I can even believe!

Weigh in this morning at the end of pen 10:

SW: 136.6kg
GW: 62.6kg

Pen 1 (2.5mg): Down 10.1kg
Pen 2 (5mg): Down 6kg
Pen 3 (5mg): Down 5.1kg
Pen 4 (5mg): Down 4.8kg
Pen 5 (5mg): Down 4kg
Pen 6 (5mg): Down 5kg
Pen 7 (5mg): Down 4.5kg
Pen 8 (5mg): Down 3.1kg
Pen 9 (5mg): Down 3.1kg
Pen 10 (5mg): Down 5.5kg

CW: 85.4kg

Pen 11 started this morning - I've stayed on 5mg again - it just seems to still be working really well for me and keeps things much more affordable given the prices hikes.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 13/10/2025 12:04

Well done @JustAnotherSod 8st lost is amazing!

After two weeks dropped to 12.5 from my 15 mg pen, today, I dropped to 40 clicks which I thought was 10mg but seems to be more like 9. I never noticed any difference above 5mg so it makes sense to go back there to me. Also jabbed in my thigh today and I didn't even feel it like I do in my tummy. Lets see what this week brings.

BagQueenBee · 14/10/2025 00:03

Not posted in a while, but just reading back and it’s amazing the progress people are making.

I started 22/11/24 at 28st 1lb, I spent 8 months on 5mg and a month or so ago went up to 7.5. I feel great on it, get 7 day suppression and no side effects so all is good.

I have lost 90lb so far but at 21st 9 I am much higher than most people start….but it’s amazing and I’m ecstatic and can really see the difference.

I have gone from 32 clothes to 24/26….and it’s just unbelievable.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 14/10/2025 00:22

Ooh you're doing really well @BagQueenBee!

@Doggymummar I have also dropped from 15 to 12.5 this week. Did the same a month or so ago and was starving 😂 Giving it another go!

mamabeeboo · 14/10/2025 07:18

I have a day off work today and instead of lounging about at home stuffing my face with snacks, I'm going out for a run this morning and then going out shopping. I'm planning on buying something in a size 16 to motivate myself. A size 16!! How skinny 😂

Janie934 · 14/10/2025 10:19

I've made it onto the BMI chart!!! After dancing around the 40 mark for a couple of weeks, after a whoosh I now have a BMI of 39.8. Down from my starting BMI of 57.9! Bring on the next target is BMI of under 35.

PearlsPearl · 14/10/2025 10:33

You are doing fantastic @BagQueenBee and must feel physically a million times better xxx

Iwouldratherbesinging · 14/10/2025 11:18

That’s amazing @BagQueenBee, that buzz feels so good! Welcome to the chart @Janie934 🎉
