Calorie counting and eating less is what I say. Which is true as I do feel mj didn’t suppress that much for me as always ate 3 meals

never understood those who would say had a spoonful of mash and 1/4 of a sausage and stuffed

FourSeasonsTotalLandscaping · 18/09/2025 19:00

Hello all! I haven’t been posting but I have been following along! Today marks Jab 18 for me, and for the first time I’ll be using a syringe to get out the extra dose. I’m still on 5mg although I have my next pen of 7.5mg ready to go.

Start weight and BMI: 134.8kg/21st 3.2lb and 48
Current weight and BMI: 114.1kg/17st 13.6lb and 40.6

So that’s a 20.7kg/3st 3.6lb loss since 16 May. Tantalisingly close to being Class 2 obese, and 15% of my starting body weight!

Missingducks · 18/09/2025 19:45

I had a GP review yesterday and she said more than 10% body weight gone so 20% of what you want to lose. Really keen to get to 20kg down now.

GnomeDePlume · 18/09/2025 20:49

A strange thing today.

I have a blood clotting disorder so have to take warfarin and have regular blood tests. In the last few weeks my INR (measuring the 'stickiness' of my blood) has been steadily decreasing meaning I am having to take more warfarin. Today I was phoned up from the warfarin clinic with a strong suggestion that I should start injecting anticoagulants. Managed to negotiate this down to a big increase of my warfarin and another blood test next week to see if this has worked.

But it is another strange mounjaro effect. Counter intuitive to my mind. My thyroid medication dosage has reduced as my weight has come down.

Hope everyone on my favourite thread is well, and I've read everyone's updates.

Many people don't know how the jabs work and assume it melts fat. I know this because some people close to me, can see I have made lifestyle changes - eat less/move more - and are convinced that I couldn't possibly be on the jab because I still have to do all this!
Sure.... 😉

6 stone down and my collar bone is really showing, I keep looking vainly at myself in teams when on work calls 😂

PearlsPearl · 18/09/2025 21:16

Yes, I agree, people do think magically melts fat- if only! Must feel so good to see collarbone. I'd love that and look at myself too!

Off on my holidays round the nc500 tomorrow. Excited. But eating out for 3 meals a day in all different places for 10 days will take its toll.

Lds1 · 18/09/2025 21:38

@mamabeeboo I noticed my collar bone in the mirror this morning, it was a bit weird as I haven't ever really noticed it before 😂

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/09/2025 22:14

Oh I love the moment when find /feel/see collar bone

I was worried and felt a lump
and thought omfg what’s that and looked in the mirror and r

Weigh in day for me today and I’ve reached a major milestone- I’ve lost 10 stone! That’s 41% of my body weight gone. I’m over the moon! (Still bloody obese though 🙄🤣)

I love being able to see my collar bone! Also sometimes sit just running my hand up and down my side, amazed that I can feel my ribs 🤣. And when I lie down my pelvic bone sticks out - who knew I had so many bones?! 😂

That is fantastic, well done on all your hard work!

Elephantscantjump · 19/09/2025 07:21

Nice to be checking in with you all, glad to see everyone's progress.

I'm feeling a bit stalled over the last 2 weeks, I'm down 14.3kg in 9 weeks which is amazing but over last 2 weeks hasn't seemed to coming off and feel like food noise is a bit more. I've only been on 2.5mg so far so think this might be the time to go up to 5.mg.

I've been holding off as my upset stomach side effect only seemed to have eased in the last few weeks and I don't really want to go through that again. (I have 2 doses of 2.5 to take so have a bit of space to think)

Also think I'll have to swap providers, was with numan which was a bit more costly but manageable, however they have really chucked their prices way up and I can't justify it! Feeling a little worried about finding a new one as I'm not great with change but needs must I think.

That's amazing, huge congrats 🎉🎉. What a fabulous achievement ❤️

Motnight · 19/09/2025 08:04

I've weighed and gone down into another stone bracket. Really happy. 3 more lbs to a 7 stone loss.

@Elephantscantjump - assuming you have been on 2.5 mg since you started 9 weeks ago? I would personally go up to 5 mg but obviously not in your position. You are doing really well.

PearlsPearl · 19/09/2025 08:06

@MummyInTheNecropolis woooohoooo what an amazing achievement TEN STONE you must be absolutely thrilled. 🤩

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 19/09/2025 08:11

Well done @MummyInTheNecropolis that's an amazing achievement!

And I, surprisingly, have dropped another 1lb, to reach 12st exactly.

I've lost a total of 8st 2lb now, in 21 months.

Well done Broon you must be overjoyed!

afaloren · 19/09/2025 08:34

Huge well done to @MummyInTheNecropolis @Motnight @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne !!!

Weigh day here too and I have a very big milestone to report. I’ve somehow lost 4.5lb this week (I don’t know how; I’ve been ill and not been to the gym and felt like I ate loads to make myself feel better!) and have dropped UNDER 100KG for the first time. 🥳🥳🥳

I weigh in kilo and convert to both pounds and stone for my records as DH prefers the scale set to metric (and I don’t care which it is) and I’ve been waiting to see that number start with a 9 for such a long time!!!

Absolutely delighted.

Brilliant!! I hope you and @MummyInTheNecropolis , and all the ladies with such impressive overall losses, realise what a huge inspiration you are to us all.

Week 24 for me, and 2lb off. 4st 3lb in total.

SW 22st 8lb
CW 18st 5lb
GW 11st 4lb

My NSV of the week. I had to get a new chair at work the other day (I didn't break it, the fabric was ripped 😅 ), and for the first time ever, I could request a 'normal' one, and not a 'specialist' one with reinforced gas struts. I can't tell you how good that felt!

So many happy dances today, well done ladies.

Lobsterteapot · 19/09/2025 08:52

Well done Mummy and Broon! Amazing losses! So inspirational ❤️

Im still plugging away on 5ml - 5 stone, 10 lost now. Feel like a new woman.

I’ve bought a walking pad (never been light enough for one before!) and I’m doing 30-45 mins a day while I watch classic coronation street. I know I won’t stick to the gym so this is a good habit I feel I can do for life.
