Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we list old clothes on vinted, give thanks for MJ as we have had the BEST Summer in years as we are all significantly lighter.

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and our lowest stone brackets!

I’m on W42 D1 and on w2 of my first titrating down pen of 5.0mg

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 6.0lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far 61.0 lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🥰

Any chance you could be pregnant? Metalllic taste was my main symptom…
or have you been stimulating your neck/jawline with a Nuface or similar? That’s the only time I get the same.

Hope you feel better soon!

Definitely not pregnant (reassured by my current quite heavy period!). Not tried nuface etc either. Maybe it’s the death throes of this virus. Or menopause. Time will tell.

Thank you x

The Sweaty Betty sale is on! When I started in November 24 I would avoid SB like the plague. I never thought I would fit into anything from there. My DD gave me large size leggings for Xmas and when I finally put them on at Easter they fitted easily.

But now I am contemplating a size medium in sale leggings and a running bra now I am on Week 2 of C25k. Just need to lose some belly roll.

Ooh thanks for the heads up! I just stocked up in the peloton sale last month (they are similar quality and the peloton x lululemon are really lovely quality) so I daren’t look!

On the upside, sold two vinted items today. I’m £35 up!

I'm planning on spending tomorrow putting some old clothes on Vinted and organising my wardrobe with all my new purchases. For the last few years I've only worn dresses but recently I've been actually buying jeans and trousers.

@Goldleafcat I had a virus a few weeks ago and while I didn't have a metallic taste my gums were really sore and sensitive so maybe something similar. It took ages to go, kept fading then coming back.

Congratulations. @evilharpy . Fab news!

Thanks all you wonderful death jab skinny bitches. I'm still where half of you started from but am very pleased with my progress.

I have only lost half of what I need to (in theory - I've not been lighter than I am now in 25 years so I'm flying blind!) but I hope this means we have the exciting part still to come 🤩

@GoldleafcatI'm sorry you're feeling unwell that sounds really horrible 💐

Did run 1 of week 2 of c25k as part of my bid to use up more calories.

I have also purchased an electric throw from Dreamland today as I am starting to feel chilly again. I know it’s Autumn etc but I felt cold on MJ last winter and practically lived in thermal clothing last dec/jan.

For those who’ve been suffering with burning mouth syndrome, how does it feel? My mouth tastes very strange (since the weekend) - very metallic and food tastes odd. Throat is almost better, but still not right.

Am starting to think we have had the new Covid variant as this symptom seems familiar from what I’ve read. Have had Covid before but not like this (including while pregnant, where I had to take paracetamol to get my temp down, imagine the horror of the orange man if he knew!).

Mine was soooo sore. Couldn't bear to eat things like tomatoes and am still getting symptoms. My mouth felt raw. Like @Invisablepanic it has been improving then coming back for a while now, but never as bad as my first attack. I've been to my dentist and she thinks it's an autoimmune condition caused by the menopause and has given me a steroid spray. I actually think it's more like a post viral hangover as I felt more generally ill at first (headaches, tiredness). Got a GP appointment in a few weeks about hrt as I've also been having hot flushes. I'm just still not convinced the mouth issues are connected. Will see what they say.

I’m sorry you’ve been having discomfort, @Goldleafcat and @DarkForces- it sounds really unpleasant! I hope you can get it under control soon.

My weird side effect right now is hair loss - I know this is very much a known MJ thing, though I suspect it’s just calorie restriction driving it. My hair still looks fine but I don’t want to lose any more, so I have started the collegen coffee thing. Let’s see where I am by time I hit the bottom of the first container!

And finally - way back when, we were all discussing skin and LED masks came up. How has that been going, for those of you using them? My skin is looking okay, but you know - aging!

I have been using shark led mask and I think my skin is looking fab. I am also taking 20g collagen a day as well.

Would it look as good without using mask…
I will never know 🤔

I am also placing mask on head as red LED lights stimulates hair follicle, so everything helps 🤞

I’m finding anything vaguely salty or a bit spicy is pretty rubbish. Made DS a simple meal tonight, tasted a bit and it was actually ok, so maybe that’s what I need to stick to for a bit! Made an autumn inspired veg soup for me and DH for tonight but added a few chilli flakes without thinking. I enjoyed it but think plain Jane is the way for me for a few days.

I tend to agree, I think it’s a post viral hangover, mine has only come on after the throat issue which DS had first. I did read a while ago about people post Covid having similar problems. But time will tell.

Hope it goes well with the GP. They let try a HRT trial without hot flush symptoms (my symptoms were along the lines of anger, brain fog, inability to concentrate, aching knees) so definitely have a good chat. I think it’s made me less angry at least. 😂
