Could well be, when I joined I wan’t aware of the whole SM presence and the Hira fan-club thing, just went for them as they seemed to review well, price was ok and they offer maintenance. This is making me question how professional they are tb honest. Sigh. Honestly just wish we could order from our own gp’s (and just pay a standard price like with other medicines)

Same here as I’m not on Oushk social media, there hasn’t been any option I’ve seen whereby you could order more than one pen at check out. If the multiple pen thing has been going for ages you’d think this would be evident when placing our regular pen orders

I've only been on Mounjaro 2 months but placed my regular order with Oushk last Thursday morning (I think just before the news broke here) and had the option to buy 3 pens. I even called to check that was correct, ordered it, then about an hour later saw the news explode. So either it automatically became an option once you had bought more than 2 and most people didn't notice (it was in small text), or I was very lucky and logged onto their website just after they added that option!

I wonder if they’ll be changing things going forward, given how disastrous this has been for them

I think that would be a good course of action, and perhaps if they engaged a social media specialist rather than the somewhat panicky reactive way they are running with now.

ThatCyanSheep · 21/08/2025 15:48

I’ve been with them for nearly a year and never been aware of the ability to purchase more than one pen. I do think a lot of their decision making at the moment is being made in stress and anger, and that’s a red flag to me!

I was put off by the same way they reacted to the bad inspection, starting some drama about not being able to accept some people for maintenance at the same time. I remember that started panic as well.

Ah that’s interesting and hope your order came through ok. It’s all been a bit chaotic really hasn’t it, hard to know what’s what! Hopefully you’ll be in the lower doses for a while as the Sept prices are looking better for them :)

Orangesandlemons77 · 21/08/2025 16:12

On storing the pens, I pack 2/3 boxes in a single clear plastic bag as this takes up a bit less room then store them on the shelf in the fridge, not touching the back.

I take out any pen tops / wipes and store them separately with a bigger box of these in the bathroom cupboard as they can be bulky.

Then I use the plastic storage box from the pharmacy for the one open at the time.

I learned from storing my husband's Humira pens previously that the boxes can stick to the shelf otherwise. This leave a mark / cardboard which can be hard to get off and the box can go soggy.

It gets quite busy with all the pens stored in the fridge as he gets several arrive at the same time (NHS)

Incidentally the Humira comes in a refrigerated van so no need for all the packaging / ice blocks.

Bigfatbees · 21/08/2025 16:12

Heads up for anyone with Zava, i've just had an email to say my pen (originally due last Tuesday, then tomorrow) is now delayed until some time between Saturday and next Thursday. 😓

HereIGoOnceMore · 21/08/2025 16:15

I’m of the same view of others. I had no clue about the social media circus and it’s really putting me off. I started with Oushk because I wanted a provider to see me through weight loss and into maintenance, and didn’t want to have to keep uploading information and searching different providers.

We are paying good money and they are making a tidy profit.

Yeah, I watched that live. She was more measured than the ensuing panic suggested as I recall. I seem to remember her suggesting the inspectors didn't approve of maintenance but the science was on her side and she had found a way around it - I think she said the worst that would happen would be a slightly higher BMI (21 or something) cut off. I do think she should have left it a few days after the inspection before doing it though, as some of what she said was ripe for misconstruing, particularly with a client base as emotional and frankly weird as the Oushk one.

I think because so many customers believe they know her, they often ascribe their own feelings to her. I watched her live on the day of the price hikes and she seemed tired but not overly emotional. Defo made a few errors (3 pens etc) but stayed on for about 20 mins and ended it professionally, telling people not to panic. Afterwards, a poster on here informed everyone that she had 'ended the live because she got too emotional to carry on'. Like wut? Literally never happened. But that poster was hugely emotional and projected massively.

Thank you @HappyWineDay really appreciate your considered reply and good advice about how to promote best pen hygiene. I have binned the bag I had my pen in the fridge this morning as it smelt of chutney 😂 (it is on the same shelf as some condiments!) so am now pondering best ways to keep pens as fresh as poss (and reduce bacterial exposure).
Does anyone have a good fridge storage method?

I moved the chutney, salsa and mustard to a different shelf! 😅

I’m going to keep mine in a separate Tupperware.

This is the thing to start with they were the first ones offering clear plans for maintenance and that attracted a lot of people, along with their 15% discount for those doing that.

But now plenty of places are offering maintenance and with their discount likely to go there isn't that selling point anymore.

Finally, an email from MMP:

Thank you for your order.

Following the recent announcement of upcoming price changes, we are currently processing a higher than usual volume of orders.
If you have received an order confirmation email, stock has been allocated for you. Orders are being processed as quickly as possible, though dispatch times may be slightly longer than normal.

For customers placing a 2.5mg Mounjaro order who have not previously used Mounjaro, a face-to-face consultation must be completed before dispatch. This is required to ensure safe and appropriate treatment.
Due to the high volume of enquiries, responses to emails may be delayed. For faster assistance, please contact us by phone

Refunds
Refunds will be issued if:

The order is placed within 3 weeks of your last order with us

The gap between orders exceeds 7 weeks

The proof of strength does not support the requested strength (dose increases are limited to 2.5mg at a time)

Multiple orders have been placed (only one can be accepted)

Refunds are processed back to the original payment method. Please allow up to 10 working days for funds to appear.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this busy period.

Interesting that they’re cancelling and refunding orders a week after people placed them. Any within three weeks of the previous order as well! So many people need to be more organised than that.

Yep. A bit of a downer as they looked like a good option for the longer term and now feels all up in the air with them. No idea now how things will end up with Oushk. Also had no idea about the inspection problems until read it on MN so that’s a concern too as proper medical storage is surely a basic for pharmacies 🫤

Ah yes good point I noticed this when storing food too close to the back, it sticking etc and the box went soggy

50somethingHRTaddict · 21/08/2025 16:29

As a first time user of them, Cloud today advised my order has been completed.

I ordered a 10mg pen on 17/08

My usual order from IQ Dr remains pending

I believe they were due to be looked at again at the end of July, so assuming issues resolved, given we've heard nothing. Could be wrong of course.

MynameisJune · 21/08/2025 16:42

You can get lockable fridge boxes for meds if people are worried about nosey relatives or kids accessing them.

I know. I’ve had a confirmation of order email but my account has said ‘processing’ since Friday. My order was only a couple of days after my previous (very last minute due to holiday) one though, so I’m assuming it’ll be cancelled. Laughable when their reminder emails were always weeks before I actually needed to order previously.

I’m disappointed that it’s taken them a week to contact anyone tbh. Communication from other pharmacies has been so much better.

MynameisJune · 21/08/2025 16:56

Mine was a new customer order, I’ve had the order confirmation and the request for extra information but it’s been nearly a week now since I sent that back and I’ve heard nothing else.

I’d like to just know either way so I can try and get something else before September 1st but that’s looking increasingly unlikely

SaintAgatha · 21/08/2025 16:58

@PresidentBarklett I’ve really struggled with that poster and their general tone, and I’d go so far as to say that they drove a huge amount of the anxiety and panic buying emanating from MN.

Kipperandarthur · 21/08/2025 17:16

It's amazing what a difference a week makes.

One week/ten days ago we were reading about potential break throughs and looking forward to price reductions in the near future.

Now look at the situation.

Obviously things will change in the future with regards to different manufacturers and alternative drugs, but the immediate future for many is showing an increase of say £80 /£100 per month depending on the dose. This is significant across a year.

I can't help but think that many will now experiment with staying on lower doses for as long as possible, extending the life of the pens way beyond what is recommended, micro dosing from higher strength pens etc etc.

It's the highest dose pens that are obviously significantly more expensive than previously that are going to create the problems depending upon what the market finally settles at for the 12.5 and 15 pen doses.

What makes it a double whammy kicker is that I very much doubt that the American market will be paying any less for these drugs due to their specific health care / insurance company circumstances.
