I don't know if anyone has seen this already, I saw it on Linked In. It's a natural supplement that stimulates GLP production. It seems very promising from trials, it's about £50 a week currently. Useless for me as it's released in the colon and mine was incinerated 20 years ago! But when it's commercially available it might be an option for people.

@PositiveAttitude I'm the same with regards to posting, and my phone doesn't show me the usernames when I try and tag someone so I find I don't get properly into conversations!
@Kay2000 I'm also going to use the bonus dose, I need to order some needles!
@Doggymummar I'm sorry about your mum, hopefully by now you're back home and feeling safe so you can destress and recover

SilenceInside · 23/08/2025 17:31

@Kay2000 I have a full pen in the fridge and the 5th dose in my current pen, so was hoping to get one more pen at current prices. I have an order in with Asda, but I haven’t ordered from them for several months so I am concerned they will cancel it when they review, which will be sometime this coming week. So if that falls through then I think I will be paying the new higher prices for my next pen. Which I can manage but I’d rather not, of course.

I am sorry to hear your sister has had issues with Asda not fulfilling a confirmed order. That is properly shit of them. The pharmacies have been hung out to dry by Eli Lilly though, even if they haven’t handled it very well once the announcement was made.

afaloren · 23/08/2025 18:54

@Kay2000 it’s MedExpress. Not too bad as I’m sticking with 5mg for a while but the higher doses are yikes!

Doggymummar · 23/08/2025 19:31

Thanks we are. Was probably the last time to be honest

Sorry you suffered too. I remember being about 11 and I was called to the school office, I was hoping she was dead, but I just forgot my lunch. I was devastated. My dad is great, but how he has put up with her for 60 years I will never know

According to Monj, Asda is out of stock for everything except 2.5, so I’m not hopeful you’ll get any. I’m hopeful when prices are confirmed there will be some competition for our custom, unless they all collaborate to charge the same. But surely there will be a reduction in customer numbers, as not everyone will be able to cover the increase so you’d hope there will be some competitive discount codes like before.

TragicMuse · 23/08/2025 21:31

Thanks @PositiveAttitude for mentioning e-surgery! I’ve just placed an order with them for a pen and at a really decent price.

PositiveAttitude · 23/08/2025 21:33

That's great @TragicMuse. It was the first and only one I looked at so I don't know how it compares, but I have been impressed with the whole thing.
I hope you get it ok.

Just a question for those who have done C25k. How do you time yourselves when you run 20 secs, walk 20 secs etc?

There's a podcast you listen to. It coaches you through it, times your runs and walks, gives you countdowns and so on.

It was over 5 years ago when I did C25K, but I came to really love listening to "Laura", who was the coach voice for the podcast. I don't know if it's still Laura that does it? (Or indeed who Laura is)

SilenceInside · 23/08/2025 21:55

@Trinck there are several voices in the C25K app that you can choose from, mainly celebs. I went for Steve Cram who was a bit of a childhood hero of mine.

@mamabeeboo I downloaded the C25K app for my phone, the free one from the NHS & BBC. You get a visual timer and an audio voiceover from whoever you choose as your voice.

Weigh in and I’ve lost 3lb which takes me into the 16s! 😳 I haven’t weighed this low for at least 12/13 years.

HOWEVER I should have lost at least a stone with the amount of shitting I did this week. 😁💩

Elephantscantjump · 24/08/2025 09:06

Week 6 weigh in, managed to lose 2kg this week and tantalisingly close to the 19 stone bracket which I don't think ive been in for 10 years!

SW - 306.6lb/21.9 stone/138.8kg
W6 - 280.4lb/20.0 stone/127.2kg

Still getting some gastro side effects but think I need to eat a bit plainer again as I think its my choices that have upset my stomach this week.

eibbed999 · 24/08/2025 09:32

I've just ordered with e-surgery too @PositiveAttitude - I will believe it when it lands, but the process was simple (so far!) and the prices, especially on subscription, are very good. I wanted to stick with Medino but they've been awful recently, not replied to repeated emails, taken my money for an order they have yet to confirm, and basically ignoring requests for advice. I'm sure they're very busy, but if I can move on, I will.

Autumnflowers2 · 24/08/2025 10:19

Can anyone recommend somewhere for me to move suppliers to .
I'm not good at dealing with swapping, and I just want a company that is charging a reasonable amount for 15 mg ,and has confirmed their September prices.
I prefer to stay with the same provider
But I'm lost where to swap to
Getting overwhelmed trying to swap

Kay2000 · 24/08/2025 10:20

How does e-surgery work with the monthly prices? Do you sign up for a minimum number of months? I noticed the one off prices are more.

I’d wait until September when we have prices from all providers and they have stock in again. So many are out of stock or for existing customers only.

Autumnflowers2 · 24/08/2025 10:21

I've been trying to swap to juniper, but I've given up ,it just takes me to a 2.5 pen and then the payment page

That was my plan ,yes
But the threads around this are getting me panicked and I feeling need to know who I'm with and what I'm paying

I did a one-off because I am waiting to see what my local pharmacist is going to be selling it for.
My 10mg one was £155, which is less than I paid for my last 2 pens (5 & 7.5) at the chemist)
I have been so impressed with him though, that I may well swap to them with a subscription if they are cheaper.

As pervious poster said, if it's certainly you are looking for and not wanting to chop and change - I'd wait until October at least to move.

I wouldn't even move in September. Because I suspect there I'll be loads of discount codes floating around in September when all the pharmacies are scrabbling to keep customers following the price increase.

So I actually suspect that September prices will be artificially lower than they will be long-term (in the way that right now they are artificially higher than they should be due to supply and demand).

PearlsPearl · 24/08/2025 11:53

I went for a wee and took off my pjs and I've lost 4lb not 3. 😂

I always weigh naked so I don't know why I didn't this morning!

From what I've read you sign up, and if approved they contact you once a month to check what dose you need etc. And I think you can cancel easily, again from what I've read - doesn't look like you sign up for a year or whatever. The subscription price for a 7.5mg pen was £140, which is ok. Obviously no chance it will stay the same. I did it more out of annoyance with my existing supplier than anything, and I might end up with two pens this month (not a disaster!). I just felt like I was shouting into a void trying to get a response from my own suppliers.
