@mamabeeboo I love your NSV so so much. I am the same with clothes. I can't wait for the day they don't make me so sad.

SilenceInside · 26/08/2025 19:17

@Motnight I’m an existing customer with Asda, although my last order with them was a fair while ago. I have also used Zava in the past and just looked at what they have at the moment. No 10mg on offer but they are offering 12.5mg for £209. I could order that, and use it to do 10mg doses, and it would still be cheaper than the new price for a 10mg. So, that’s a possibility.

@OvertiredandConfused I think I’d stay on the 10mg for now, and I’m sure it would be straightforward to move up to 12.5mg via Oushk. As far as I’m aware without being a customer they seem to use the same approach as most places which is to offer you the same dose or one higher/lower.

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne I hope your email issues are sorted. Have BT got any sort of info about it on their website?

@Lds1 hopefully the 1.2kg will drop off soon. Fingers crossed for your pens to be delivered this week.

@mamabeeboo and @WafflingDreamer these NSVs are genuinely joyful to read.

PearlsPearl · 26/08/2025 20:17

Hi everyone. It's your miserable moaning friend here 😢side effects back, living on the loo. And SO upset because I've got tickets (VIP!) to see Chappell Roan tomorrow and now can't go.

Billybingbong · 26/08/2025 20:43

@mamabeeboo what a wonderful NSV. I too am starting to feel the joy in clothes again, it truly is a delightful feeling.

@SilenceInside that's a good idea to get the 12.5 and use it for 10 dose. You could get an extra dose out of it too, so it would work out cheaper.

@PearlsPearl sorry to hear you've got the side effects back. I hope you're feeling better tomorrow and manage to make it to the concert.

Elle771 · 26/08/2025 20:44

Gosh so much to catch up on think ive read everything... amazing NSVs and SVs!!!

Thanks to whoever recommended esurgery too ive just bagged another 7.5mg pen for £148 delivered phew!!

Feel better now I have few weeks breathing space as feel like am getting my momentum back after a slump!!

TheZingyFish · 26/08/2025 20:48

Can I ask about getting a smaller dose from a pen, so for example of if I were to buy a 7.5mg pen and get 6x5mg doses from it? I know the only way to get the “fifth dose” from a pen if taking the correct size dose is using a syringe, but do you need to do this if getting smaller doses? What I mean is, will the pen allow you to do 6 doses using the clicks alone?

The pen stops working after so many clicks (I think 256). A 5mg dose from a 7.5mg pen is 40 clicks, so you would be able to get 6 doses before you would have to use a syringe for the rest (my maths isn't brilliant, so you might need to check the figures 😉)

TheZingyFish · 26/08/2025 20:57

Thanks @Billybingbong, this is what I was hoping so this is good news.

SilenceInside · 26/08/2025 20:57

@TheZingyFish the pen does 240 clicks (4 x 60) plus around 8 or so for priming. For a 7.5mg pen, it is 40 clicks for a 5mg dose as @Billybingbongsays. So you could do 6 x 40 clicks, to do 6 doses of 5mg. That would take you a week over the 30 day expiry limit for an open pen though, so you’d have to decide if you were ok with that as a possible risk.

Take loperamide x 2.

Then take another 2, about half an hour later.

You're getting dehydrated and it's miserable having so much diarrhoea.

A 5mg dose from a 7.5mg pen when you're using an insulin syringe, is 0.4ml.

PearlsPearl · 26/08/2025 21:06

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne I am terrified of loperamide because the last time I took it I didn't go for 10 days and was extremely unwell, the worst I've ever felt in my life. I am prone to constipation because of IBS. However when I finally stopped the diarrhoea last week, I then didn't go at all for 4 days so was straight back to square one, and now the diarrhoea is back.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 26/08/2025 21:09

BTW there is always 0.8ml of MJ left in each pen, after the first 4 doses are taken (unless you've used absolutely loads for priming).

The dose in milligrams of MJ that this 0.8ml represents obviously varies, depending on the strength of the pen.

(I'm a retired nurse and midwife, so I spent my life having to figure this sort of stuff out).

I am glad the e-surgery site worked for you too, @Elle771. I was very impressed, but I haven't seen many other mentions of them on any of the conversations.
Very competitive prices and very efficient, emails to keep me updated through the whole process. Delivered quickly and cold.

I'd hit that immediately with a laxative. I truly wouldn't wait four days.

I think with MJ it's best to get on top of side-effects right away. They will gradually cease. They did with me.

But I am sure that a lot of people go from one extreme to the other, until they figure out a system which works for them.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 26/08/2025 21:16

I've managed to restore my emails and my Chemist 4U pens have definitely been approved.

SilenceInside · 26/08/2025 21:18

That’s good news @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne glad to see that orders are being fulfilled for people before the price hike happens.

Yes, I got the two pens for £350.

Autumnflowers2 · 27/08/2025 11:01

So I am on 15 mg and I've just realised,I've ot actually lost any weight in august.im just loosing and gaining the same few pounds .
Do you think it has stopped working?
I think most people who have nearly lost 8 stone will be at the end of their journey, not still needing to loose .
I'm also hungrier and thinking about food much more
Since I started August has been my absolute worst month
I can't drop my calories any lower ,as I'm on 1200 a day .
I'm trying hard to up the exercise and drink more .has anyone else had this ,where your just gaining and loosing the same few pounds for a month

Autumnflowers2 · 27/08/2025 11:03

Or should I drop the calories down ..I don't know
I read somewhere about recking your metabolism if you go lower than 1200

I would not worry about this.
The same thing happened to me but I still managed to start losing again, by doing OMAD three or four days a week. I wouldn't drop your calories any lower. I generally eat about 1500/day.

Come and join us on the new thread @Autumnflowers2
