Beat me to it!

Motnight · 02/08/2025 09:48

I wonder if it's worth us all summarising progress so far 🤔

I've been on WLI for 12 months. Lost 87 lb. Still 4 stone to go I think. Weight loss currently very slow, but still happening. On the highest dose of Monjaro.

Mum2Fergus · 02/08/2025 09:51

Yay 🥳 a shiny new thread! I had just posted so will copy here. I need to order next pen today - still thinking I’ll stick with 5 again…I’m still losing most weeks (avg 2.2lbs a week), no side effects and suppression is still good.

SW (15 Feb 25): 19st 9lbs / BMI 44.4 (obese class 3)
CW: 15st 13lbs / BMI 36 (obese class 2)

Wk23 weigh in this morning (wk11 on 5mgs) … another 2lbs off this week - I’m into the 15’s!!

I’ve lost 19% of my starting weight and averaging 2.2lbs loss per week.

Goal: healthy BMI (between 18.5 and 24.9 (8.3st-11st) for my height) - so 4st 13lbs to go to get to top of range.

Doggymummar · 02/08/2025 09:59

Ive left a message on the old one as not sure what the etiquette is on starting new ones its not my thread but I didn't want us to be homeless if OP wants to start a new one i can retire this one.

Placemarking :)

Summary: I’ve lost eight stone in total, two on MJ. Seven stone to go still. Love being on a thread with others who have a marathon, not a sprint!

MummyInTheNecropolis · 02/08/2025 11:07

Checking in, thanks for the new thread

Iwouldratherbesinging · 02/08/2025 11:27

Yay! New thread ❤️
Thank you@Doggymummar, don’t panic, the original thread was set up by bookishbabe, I think I started the next couple then @thebroononeandthewhiteone started the next few, these threads belong to us all 🥰

TragicMuse · 02/08/2025 11:28

Hi Losers!

Still at my mum’s on holiday and still able to stick within my limits!

I’m trying to let the early-week crap go - not 100% successful yet but working on it.

Billybingbong · 02/08/2025 11:41

Hello lovely new thread, can't believe we're on thread 6 already. It just shows how popular and supportive it is 💕

My summary - 3 1/2 st down in just less than 4 months, roughly another 8 to go 😱. This is the first time ever, in around 40 years of one diet or another, that I have lost consistently every single week, and I can actually fully believe I will succeed. MJ truly is a miracle

TheZingyFish · 02/08/2025 11:44

Checking in, 16 weeks and 3st 2.5lbs lost. Struggling a little as think I should have moved up to 7.5mg but will do so for my next pen not worried.

Autumnflowers2 · 02/08/2025 11:51

Thankyou for new thread

Autumnflowers2 · 02/08/2025 11:52

Autumnflowers2 · 02/08/2025 11:57

I met a friend this morning that I hadn't seen in ages and she was so shocked at the change in me she said
"Gosh there's not much size difference between us now is there ",then she said ,she's started a diet ..
People are funny
She's used to the old me who was a size 34
Now I'm I'm 20/22 clothes that are all baggy on me .
I still have a problem with fitted clothes,I'm not comfortable unless I'm in something baggy .. daughter and husband are constantly telling to me to wear something smaller

DartmoorWanderer · 02/08/2025 12:07

Hello all! I thought I’d post on here.

I weighed 25 stone in January of 2024. I lost a bit naturally before I started WLI last summer (almost a year ago to the day that I ordered my first!), at 22 stone 12 pounds. I’m now hovering around 15 stone 9 pounds. Just moved up to 12.5mg, but I’m also recovering from a horrid cold, so im not sure which it is that’s suppressing my appetite so much! I have another 5 stone to lose id say

Hey, it's fine. I didn't start the first one anyway! Thanks for starting this one.

So, to summarise my own loss:

I started dieting in January 2024.
I then weighed 20st 2lb.

By June 2024 I'd got to 17st 12lb.

That's when I was giving up because after 6 months it's always hard to keep going.

So in July 2024 I decided to start MJ, weighing 17st 12lb

Now I weigh 12st 7lb.

I've lost 7st 9lb in 19 months.

Before my holiday (which was two weeks ago) I was 12st 5lb. I put on 3lb and have now lost 1lb of that.

I've been on 15mg MJ for several months.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 02/08/2025 12:29

My next milestone is to get to 12st 2lb which will be a total loss of 8st.

My BMI today is 31.4.

My BMI when I started was 50.

So I'm still officially OBESE but edging towards OVERWEIGHT.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 02/08/2025 12:48

I would like to get down to 10st 10lb and at the risk of sounding like a copy of Chat or Take A Break........

Me Now, with under 2st to go:

I think the photos of me today show that I do need to lose a bit more, as my legs are still carrying more than is healthy.

Sorry, I'm getting obsessed with my legs. I posted about my knees being still fat on the last thread and they are, so they're stopping me from wearing dresses.

Or actually - my own vanity is stopping me from wearing dresses. It's silly, I realise that. But I used to have such great legs!

Right that's enough of my boasting

Iwouldratherbesinging · 02/08/2025 13:01

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne i’m always in awe of your flat stomach!

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne i’m always in awe of your flat stomach!

That's the result of very good shapewear.
🤣🤣

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 02/08/2025 13:09

BTW @Iwouldratherbesinging

I would always rather be singing, too.
I love your user name.

DH and I moved to a little Scottish village in 2017. Before that, we lived in London, where I was a member of various choirs.

It's the one thing I miss about living in the middle of nowhere in Argyll.

So imagine my joy when a choir was started here for people with dementia.

I haven't got dementia (or not yet anyway) so I go as a volunteer helper.
I used to be Matron of a dementia nursing home in London.

It's glorious to be singing again.

PositiveAttitude · 02/08/2025 13:17

Thanks for the new thread.

Quick summary from me. I was 21 stone 3lb in March this year, started taking orlistat and lost 7lb in 3 months, then at the end of June started on MJ.
Now on week 6 and I am a total of 1 stone 7lb down. (Now weigh 19 stone 10 lb). I have a very long way to go, but I feel confident that I can do this now.

Love this thread and I read it far more than I post, so thank you, ladies.

52soon · 02/08/2025 13:48

Highest weight 19st7lb (2022)
MJ SW 17st12lb
CW 16st8lb jab 14 yesterday second 7.5mg 18lb so far, slow by most standard's I lost 3lb in the week before starting but I can see a difference in my shape and clothes so am trusting the process and love hearing everyone’s NSV’s and journeys, it definitely keeps me motivated when I see just a pound plodding along but it really does add up.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 02/08/2025 14:03

My starting weight was 24 stone 13.
Current weight is 16 stone 5.
Total loss so far is 8 stone 8.

No idea what my goal weight is as I’ve never been anything other than obese since I was a child so not sure what I’ll look like at a smaller size. To be at the top end of a healthy BMI I’d need to lose another 4 and a half stone so maybe I’ll aim somewhere around that, but I may stop sooner if I find a weight and size I’m happy with, who knows!
