I just started mounjaro today.

I'm really interested to hear how much weight you have lost on Mounjaro.

SW 15st 11lb
CW 8st 7lb

So 7st 4lb since April 24.

My GW was 10st but it’s just so easy to keep going. I am done now though! My BMI is just over 20 so I feel this is a good weight for me.

Good luck with it OP. Honestly it’s life changing!

morbidcuriosity · 28/06/2025 07:37

On it since march 2024 and I've lost just over 8 stone.

Wow! That's great! Do you have a special diet and exercise program? Or just eat whatever as long as it's healthy?

unsync · 28/06/2025 08:03

35.2% of bodyweight since 31 March 2024. I'm 81% of the way to target weight, forecast to reach that in September.

SodiumBattle · 28/06/2025 08:16

Female, age 52, late perimenopause (at a guess)
Started June 2024 at BMI 41, now BMI 33
Weight lost: 21 kg/46 lbs/3 st 4 lbs

Weight loss very slow after month 5, and that is mainly due to me making no attempt to calorie count/watch what I am eating/drinking much and at my age that is not going to give good results even if I am eating less. Now I am in my second year I am just starting a proper push with the hope of getting things moving again. I definitely don't expect to lose more than 1 lb/wk even with a lot more effort though.

StressedEric · 28/06/2025 09:19

6 and a bit stone since September 24. Another 4 to go ! I have been microdosing since I lost 5 stone to try and get myself used to fittingly weekly calories into my life rather than having my life ruled by my weekly calories . I’m still losing approx half a stone a month and I know I’ll need GLP support for the rest of my life , it’s a miraculous drug for me. Inflammation and lipedema have reduced so much I can’t believe it

PeanutButterCheesecake · 28/06/2025 09:56

3.5 stone since the beginning of January. I did two 7.5 pens rather than move up after one, and have stayed on 10 since. Am now just over 12.5 stone and planning to lose 1 or 2 more, depending how I feel.

Wish I had done some 'before' pictures but I didn't have much confidence in it - I assumed it would just be another diet that I would fail! But am now obsessed with it and recommend it to anyone who asks.

I am a bit worried about what happens when I stop it, but am planning to gradually reduce the dose later this year, and would consider staying on it forever rather than gain weight again.

farfallarocks · 28/06/2025 09:59

4kg in a week, actually too much have total
appetite suppression and forcing myself to eat but not hitting more than 600 calories I don’t think! Eeek. Still I have cheekbones again

Fluck · 28/06/2025 10:12

BMI was 33.4, now it’s 23.2 - I’ve lost 4st 6lb since beginning of January. I’m 9st 13lb & goal weight is 9st but I’ve also just started at the gym for toning. I’ve had 3 babies so I have loose skin on my stomach & stretch marks & I dislike my arms (but always have!). Hopefully once I’m at goal & more toned I’ll be happier for my holiday in October but regardless I’m very happy with my journey! It’s been an absolute breeze compared to ‘naturally’ … I lost nearly 6st a few years ago & burnt myself out

Boliviabae · 28/06/2025 10:25

I had an eggy taste in my mouth after taking mounjaro for the first time.

I looked it up and apparantly we get this becsuse mounjaro slows down digestion, making you feel fuller for longer.

I didn't know that it did this.

I thought it did something else to decrease appetite.

It's cool that it slows down digestion aswell

i have 7lbs to lose then I will be in the healthy bmi range. Ive been taking 10mg for past 8 weeks. weight loss has slowed to a stop but I will stick here for a bit and see. Im in no hurry.

WeAllHaveWings · 28/06/2025 11:08

@Boliviabaeit is worth reading a bit, or watching reputable videos on how the medication works, it can help you work with it, realistic expectations, find out what you need to do around diet/exercise and get the best outcome possible while staying safe.

It does a few things

primarily it increases production of insulin in response to glucose, it also makes you more sensitive to the insulin produced.

in addition it slows digestion and reduces absorption.

its important to understand the mechanisms to prevent low blood sugar and in case you are taking any other medications which could become less effective or slower to work due to the digestion changes.

Wow some amazing losses? What is the loose skin like can I ask?

I don't have much, just a little on top of my thighs. But I am a road map of stretch marks. But I don't mind them!

Aitchtee · 28/06/2025 17:19

4 stones and 10lbs. Never felt better. Still think im the same size I was before and sometimes get such a surprise when I see a recent photo. It’s so liberating! Best thing I’ve ever invested in for myself.

QueenBing · 28/06/2025 23:50

Started mid March, I’ve lost 2 stone. Just moved up to 5mg this week and I’ve got 2 stone left to lose. For the first time in about 4 years I’m now overweight rather than obese!

PermanentTemporary · 29/06/2025 00:05

Started Oct 24 at 105kg, bmi 34.something, large size 20
Currently 88kg, bmi 28.7, 16 in most things, 18 looks better in some, lost 17kg.
Would need to lose another 10kg to be a BMI, just under 25 so that’s goal, but I may end up landing a few pounds heavier than that.
Thought loose skin might be an issue but it’s definitely improved a bit over the months and with weights.

perimenopoppet · 29/06/2025 08:23

Started mid April. Have lost almost 2 stone so far. BMI from obese to overweight and look so much less puffy and bloated. Feel fantastic. Would like to lose 2 more which will take a bit longer as loss slowing naturally but I have no doubt that with mounjaro’s help I will be there before Christmas and working on how maintenance will be for me.

KittykatBrunodog · 29/06/2025 08:29

Hi there. I did my first jag a week ago and have lost 5lbs. Absolutely fantastic weight losses I'm reading about. Gives me real hope.

FountainsSummer · 29/06/2025 08:31

Wow, all these huge amounts of weight lost!! It's incredible! Hope these stories are inspiring you OP!
I'm different in that I'm an incredibly sloooooow loser. I have lost 3 stone in 12 months. I started last June at 15 stone 8 pounds. Today I am 12 stone 8 pounds. I still have another 2 stone to lose to achieve a healthy BMI. It is taking me a long time and I am frustrated about that.
But I am losing.
And I don't have any lose skin at all. Maybe losing weight super slowly has prevented that?
Interestingly, noone has noticed I've lost 3 stone. I have not received one single comment.

Lazygardener · 29/06/2025 08:32

50 lbs since September 2024. About 20 lbs to go. Hoping to achieve this by Christmas, then I intend to stay on a low dose for maintenance.

LessPorky · 29/06/2025 08:38

I started at 13 stone 6, I now weigh 9 stone 9.

So 53 pounds. My starting BMI was 28.6 and it’s now 20.5.

hooverbob · 29/06/2025 08:39

Interestingly, noone has noticed I've lost 3 stone. I have not received one single comment.

Don't be disheartened, only the other day I thought my colleague looked different and I asked if she had lost weight. She has lost 3.5 stone, I genuinely didn't notice it until now. I think we are way more critical of our appearance and aware of it than others are.

FancyNewt · 29/06/2025 08:42

11lbs in 8 weeks.

Aiming for a other 3 stone and 5lbs off.

I'm going for slow and steady.
