… this morning 8.7lbs !! That’s my target weight so I’m feeling much better. I’m going to try and lose a couple more pounds so I have some wriggle room at Christmas!! Gonna get cold now ladies. I need to watch for cosy time eating !

HappyNewt · 16/11/2025 11:24

Emailed my old provider about restarting terms.....not sure if want to, but thought I'd find out....
In a bit of a hole...and my eating/exercise/sleep etc is all affected...kind of liked the 'positive frame of mind' I had with MJ..
Considering options...(actually that just about sums it up really).

I love seeing how possible it is to maintain with the right focus...keep up the great work ladies....

Here's the uplifting thought Claude.ai gave me for today

Here's something to carry with you today:
Every person you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Your simple act of kindness—a genuine smile, a patient moment, a word of encouragement—might be the exact thing someone needs to keep going. You have no idea how much power you hold to brighten someone's world, often without even realizing it.
And here's the beautiful part: kindness isn't a limited resource. The more you give away, the more it seems to multiply, coming back to you in unexpected ways and making your own load feel lighter.

EVK · 16/11/2025 18:56

I love that and with regards to going back on MJ and your current state of mind - is it linked to any weight gain or are you feeling low in general? It’s very challenging to keep continual focus and positivity- so maybe you’re feeling the winter hibernate and slow down funk - I know I am, Sending love 🩷

Msny Thanks!
It's a combination of quite a few things....a lot of which are chicken and eggy/vicious cycle...I'm not very likely to restart as I know precisely what I've done/not done that has caused any weight gain...and I know thst eating less well increases the general crappy feeling.
I think we all go through cycles...just got to put my big girl pants on and dig!!
Got a few days on my own next week, which I probably need....and I'll work out a plan of things I can do to use the time really well.
The sun is finally shining today which is great and claude.ai had this little gem for today. Have a great day everyone!!

You're capable of more than you think right now. Not in some distant, transformed version of yourself—but today, as you are, with what you already have. The gap between where you are and where you want to be isn't as wide as it feels. It just takes that first move, however small. The version of you that's already done the thing you're putting off? They didn't wait until they felt ready. They just started messy and figured it out along the way. You can do that too.

EVK · 17/11/2025 08:43

We definitely go through cycles and yes - time to yourself, make a little positive plan, small steps and you will get back on track. You already know within yourself, your wisdom - what you need and how to move through this. Enjoy the sunshine 😊

I think its hard remaining focused all the time and when we have been on this journey so long, its hard to keep that iron clad focus 24/7. Its easier to get knocked off the train.

@EVK - Well done on dropping those few lbs so quickly! amazing work! bet you feel very chuffed.

@Histoscientist - I hope you are starting to feel a bit better now and had a good weekend.

Official weigh in was sat and I ended up losing 4lbs last week!! HOW? I don't know.... that's the most iv dropped in ages. I expect I will stay the same this week to counter act it.

I'm now 10st 3lbs and I'm 5'7, Iv noticed my husband make a few comments recently about when I'm stopping. Told him when all my pens are gone He never really comments at all about MJ or weight loss so I was a bit surprised.

I still want to get down to 9st 7lbs so I have another 10lbs to go. Il just wear baggier clothing around him so he stops mentioning it.

You've obviously done some really hard work well done 👏 thats amazing...and fat metaboliser?? You also went up a dose didn't you so that would have helped banish excess water maybe and curb the hunger to help lose more.
I'm feeling better thank you, have been more active and back to normality in a few ways with housework, going out more and I even started exercising yesterday. I did 10mins on cross trainer, 25 mins pilates toning class, a 5 min bone density and 5 min glutes class, all from YouTube following Growwithjo and Lucy Wyndham-Read. I did gain 0.2kg this morning but I'll have to accept weight gain when exercising I guess. I do feel slightly more toned and pulled in if that's possible lol and less lethargic. My bum didn't look so flat either so I'll have to keep it up!
Aw your hubby must be concerned. Have you sat down to have a chat with him? Your bmi now is around 22.4 which is a really good bmi, esp at your height as the fat would be distributed better than someone like me. But if you want to lose more then maybe if you have a chat with him, he could understand why?
I'm only 5ft 3 so today I'm 9st 4lbs bmi 23.4 (adjusted with my new 1cm shorter height 🙈) which is over middle of healthy bmi range for me. I was looking at myself this morning thinking I could get away with an extra half a stone probs as I don't want to come off and gain a lot of water weight or fat from cravings.
I'm back at work Thursday, ready to get back into a routine. The cold weather is coming, expected snow here.
@EVK well done on your weight loss 👏

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 17/11/2025 14:07

Hi all

Well its been 3 weeks since I stopped MJ, and my appetite has returned in abundance. It's like my body has really I have been damn near starving myself for the last year and wants to make up for lost time.

I have put in 9 pounds in the three weeks!

I have been craving carbs, sugar and general crap!

The plan for the fitness classes has dropped as the place I was looking at want £140 a month for 2 classes a week. Thats the cost of MJ before the hikes, but far too much for what they are offering.

So the plan is now just to try on willpower, increasing my dog walking, and get my bike out to re-start the cycling I used to enjoy.

I have had a tentative look at Wegovy and I think I am going to have to start on the lowest dose if I do go with it, as its been so long since my last order. With the offers I can get the lowest dose for about £50 and even the highest dose is currently less than £200 without any offers, so I will have a look I think after christmas.

My current BMI is 27 and I will try and use the high blood pressure reason as well from my previous applications. I still look overweight in photos so that should help.

Oh that's a shame but it's not unheard of either. Did you give in to the hunger and cravings or did you track and stick to protein? No judgement here, more because I want to find out your experience so when I come off eventually, I might have some tips to start off with.
Good luck with the prescription for wegovy, I'm moving on to it next week.
Any of the maintenance pharmacies may accept you back on, I've seen a few have such as oushk, pharmulous and swift being the most helpful, common ones. Who were you with last and when did you last order? You could always say you had a 2 week holiday and took a break and was taking it every 10 days to extend the usage date of the last pen so it didnt seem so far away? Also I've had pens a while before starting due to using up old stock. 3 weeks is actually not that long a break since your last date. You could mention the 2 week holiday and say you've gained 3-4lbs in the week and concerned and want to go back on.

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 17/11/2025 19:33

Thanks @Histoscientist

I've never really tracked and never found that protein filled me up. I am giving in sometimes and being able to resist others.

I cant remember who my last order was with as I bounced around to go with whoever was cheapest. I can check through my emails to find out, but I reckon I last ordered in august at the latest. Ill have to see if I do order some more and see if I can bluff it to go onto a higher dose, but I had good success from day 1 of MJ, so I am not worried about starting from the beginning.

MissMarvelMum · 17/11/2025 21:31

like you I gained and felt like I was inhaling food when I stopped cold turkey!
Med express told me aslong as you ordered within 6 months of the last pen you could re-start at 2.5mg. I had a stockpile and hadn’t ordered since Feb so I just made the 6 month window med express said about, they happily let me buy another 2.5pen because
Hope this helps! I stopped injecting in may and by end of June I gained a stone (I did have a ten day holiday in that period) ! I started back in July and it’s took to now to lose the stone again. First time round I never went above 7.5 and tomorrow I jag my first 12.5, im so annoyed at myself for stopping in the first place!

Fizzleawayyy1 · 18/11/2025 12:09

@Histoscientist Could be a combination of both the upper dose and sea lions! Glad you are feeling better!
I probably just wont mention anything to him, he's not said anything since the weekend. He rarely comments on my weight even when iv been bigger he hasn't said anything. I'm hardly wasting away at 10st 3lbs. Would love to get to 9st 13lbs by my works xmas do on the 13th December!
Good luck on your return to work on thursday! I hope its a stress free day at work! I am meant to be working right now but im taking it easy today because I couldn't sleep last night and iv been up since 4am. No idea why.

@DeltaAlphaDelta79 £140 for 2 classes a week a month!!! WHAT!! that's insane. 9lbs in 3 weeks isnt great but Iv out on more then that in a 2 week holiday before 😃 ha ha. It came off pretty quickly though once you get back to being good.
Have you actually been hungry since coming off MJ or just thinking of food or both?!
I'm sure at least one pharmacy will give you a pen! specially if you explain.

@MissMarvelMum What are you plans going forward? once you are at goal?

I'm just plodding along over here, and I've got a stage 1 internal interview coming up this week for a better-paid role. And honestly… I hate interviews!
I’m so bad at them! the second they ask me a question, my mind just goes blank.
If anyone’s been through this and has tips, I’m all ears! I’m going to do some prep tomorrow since I’ve got the day off, but I’m terrible at selling myself in this kind of situation.
And to make it even more awkward, I already work alongside the person who’ll be interviewing me, speak to them on a weekly and sometimes daily basis! They are in Marketing and I'm in Membership/Events.

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 18/11/2025 12:26

@Fizzleawayyy1 my record is one stone on a weeks AI holiday 🙈 pre mj!

I feel hungry and have food noise so both!

Yes I was going to try that route i think!

OOooOo I think that beats mine. Mine was 11lbs in 2 weeks.

Although I took my son to disneyland paris this year and lost a lb. Never had that before on holiday😂

I'm definitely sleeping worse on mounjaro.
I get the same in exams and interviews, blank mind and words don't come to me. I also have conducted many interviews. Best thing is try to write down and give specific examples of work related situations and descriptions of what you did or what you would do. Specific examples give more points and are more impressive. Even if you have to make a situation up, do that.
Give yourself time after the questions to think and ask for a repeat if you need to.
Ive done around 4 interviews where I had to do presentations as well 🙈 horrible trying to get words out when you're nervous.
I think best is prepare and give yourself plenty of time to get there so you're not panicking etc.
Good Luck!

Histoscientist · 18/11/2025 15:16

@DeltaAlphaDelta79 yeh £140 is too much, you could get access to a gym for upto 50 a month, most a lot cheaper with unlimited access to classes. Have a look at what's out there.
I started exercising Sunday, I have a cross trainer at home and then I followed free classes on youtube. I recommend Growwithjo and Lucy Wyndham-Read.
@MissMarvelMum have you tried liquid berberine? It suppresses appetite and lowers blood sugars. I take some when cravings kick in on lower suppression days and it really works, within 10 mins the cravings vanish.
https://amzn.eu/d/aSIhx7h I have used this one but there are similar ones with same ingredients and one is 7.99 currently. I'd definitely recommend giving it a go. Read the reviews.

MissMarvelMum · 18/11/2025 16:53

I have heard of it but was a bit skeptical, I’ve just popped it into my amazon basket. I also bought some of the fat metaboliser people were discussing on here the blue raspberry one was horrible I’ve not been brave enough to try the strawberry one I think it is I also got.
I have a 12.5 pen I’ve just taken 10 from that, and when that runs out I have a 1mg Wegovy pen in the fridge so I will see how I get on but I do think this is going to be a life long thing for me. It absolutely calms my brain, my periods, my life so I hope wegovy does the same because mounjaro is so expensive!! But on the other hand I was so miserable at 16 stone, I’m currently 12 and much happier although I would like to lose another stone and a half and see how I feel there.

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 18/11/2025 17:48

@Histoscientist I live out in the arse end of nowhere. The £140 for 2 classes a week is walkable. Everything else is a 20/25 min drive away. Fitting that in around Everything else is tricky atm.

You might find 1mg weak, my friend has gone from 10 to 1 and she is hungry a lot. I'm moving to 1.7 from 10, will start it on Friday.
I use the strawberry lemonade in the fat metaboliser. Feel like ot makes a difference. Lost 5lbs in October taking the fat metaboliser regularly.

Ah well yeh if it saves petrol money then it's worth it. Why don't you try the free video on youtube or look into the Joe wicks body coach app if you want something less costly? But if you're not bothered then it's worth it for your health and mobility.

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 19/11/2025 07:33

@Histoscientist I have tried online classes before and they dont do it for me. Will have another look in the new year in case they are doing any offers or anything. The next nearest is a puregym and I didnt enjoy their classes before.

HansHolbein · 19/11/2025 17:02

@Histoscientist Sorry for my late reply - it was a shitty discount code! Wonderful news about your test results, I had a feeling they would be good! You must be so happy. So glad you're feeling better.

@HappyNewt So pleased to read that your mammogram is clear. Love the positive encouragement from Claude! I really try to think about that every day, about everyone fighting something. I think it's very true. Agree re going through cycles, happens to me a lot.

@Fizzleawayyy1 Stupid discount code! Glad you're back on track. All your takeaways sound yummy though... we never have takeaways because we live in the arse end of nowhere. It has its good points, but that is definitely a negative - my son would definitely agree, lol. No work party, but lots of family gatherings over Christmas. I think I was a couple of stone down last Christmas, so was still feeling insecure... can't remember what I wore, probably all black! I have some really lovely outfits to wear over the Christmas period, can't wait! Lol, I get the 'no, just no' feeling. I thought I looked somewhat ok at that point, and, definitely NO! My husband also went through a phase of commenting. Most of the time he is like a tit in a trance, and when he comes back down to earth now and again, he sees a totally new woman - it's taken him a while to recalibrate. He also prefers a 'juicier' woman, which I certainly am not now! Not long to go for you now. Hope the job interview goes well - let u know how it goes. Been a while since I last did an interview but I found having post-it notes all around the screen helped... obviously that only works if your interview is online!

@EVK Argh! Thinking of you. Glad its come back down and you're back at target - bodies are so weird?! Depending on who you were with, most of them let you order again within 12 months. Always there as a back up, at least. Totally agree with @Histoscientist , the change in the weather always changes up my appetite. It's not salad weather - especially not today; fucking baltic out there!

@DeltaAlphaDelta79 Fuuuuuuuuuuuck that's a lot of money! Annoying about the gain. Honestly, I'd go back on whatever lowest dose I could afford. Low dose is probably all you need. I put on 19lbs on a 2 week AI holiday once, do I win?

I keep reading fat metaboliser as FART metaboliser for some reason!

Not much to report my end. I am VERY EXCITED about Christmas. I love hosting and feeding people. Bought a lot of stuff already in preparation, made a lot of lists. I think my husband has zoned out now...

On the MJ front, all is going well. I'm feeling much better. Not weighing myself as I don't want to get obsessed again. I'm on 5mg and will probably stay there long term. Too scared to go to 2.5!

Hope everyone is ok!

@Histoscientist God I would hate to do a presentation, I know thats common in jobs for teachers etc as my friend has had to do it. Luckily, I just get all the bullshit questions like what is my biggest weakness etc etc!

I have 6 pages of preparation done! hopefully that's enough!

I might have to get some of this liquid berberine too, I always crave around my period so that might help! I am currently sat here drinking my fat metaboliser.

@MissMarvelMum Blue raspberry is normally one of my favs but I somehow ended up ordering 2 cherry's even though I meant to order 2 different flavours!
Lucky I dont mind the taste!

@DeltaAlphaDelta79 All the gyms are 15 minute drive from me too. I feel to lazy to drive there although I do keep thinking about joining.

@HansHolbein Iv done the post it note thing too in the past, Iv now got lots o prep which I will print off. The interview is a stage 1 interview so it is online.
Could you try a week at 2.5 and see how you feel?

As for myself, I weighed this morning as a mid week weigh in (official weigh day is sat) and I'm down another 1.5lbs. All very odd as I though I would stall this week but very happy with it!!
We will see what im at on saturday, no plans this weekend so can maintain being good.

Histoscientist · 20/11/2025 21:16

Hello everyone! It was like the Arctic here up north! Snow falling heavy while I was on my 41 mile drive to work on the A19..I didn't enjoy that especially as it was my first day back at work after my sick leave and after 3hrs sleep as I woke at 2am and couldn't get back to sleep no matter what I did..back to work nerves.
On a good note, I had a good day, everyone is on their best behaviour, actually upbeat, and my managers said it was good to see me back! I also noticed a lot of "kindness" posters littered everywhere including "if you can be anything in the world, be kind" wow its like a 180!
I also came back to a Halloween mug and sweets that I'd won in a staff raffle!
I've dropped weight this week, I think it's the remaining golden dose of 10mg, I was taking 7.5-8.5mg and have barely any appetite this week, since Saturday cals have been 800-1293 a day and I've dropped 1.5lbs yippee. I'm now 9st 2.5lbs, so close to the elusive 9st target.
I have also been like a zombie with low mood and my sleep has been terrible, so I have a 10mg mounjaro and a 1.7mg wegovy and might try the W to see if the energy and sleep improves and leave the M to do maintenance doses. My only concern is W is weaker, from what I've read in reviews and I don't want to gain anything! I don't know if I should carry on with M and then use W after I drop those last few lbs. Any thoughts?
Heard Xmas songs on way to work..it's far too early right!

EVK · 21/11/2025 06:20

Tricky decision but if you’re getting little sleep and feeling so listless maybe it would be a good thing to ease up. Even if you stay the same as I guess the first dose like MJ might be a ‘getting to know you’ dose and mil din its effects? Bit, you get a chance to test your resolve and how you are with much lower dose. Perhaps being able to eat a little better would be a good thing considering how you’re feeling? Just some thoughts - hope work continues to go well and snow !!! I’m always wishing we could have some down this end of the country! Good luck
