@Fizzleawayyy1 you look amazing.

I’m not sure how much more I want to lose. I’m on the cusp of “healthy” weight but still a size 14ish. I’ve not been one who’s made massive changes to what I ate I was just eating less but I can feel on 2.5 it’s not enough to keep cravings away.

I’m also a secret jabber and found all the comments about my weightloss hard to deal with abs intrusive, and I think that is almost putting me off losing more. Plus I think I will need a maintenance dose to keep me on track. So there’s a lot in the mix!!

Taxiparent · 24/09/2025 07:59

Hi all,
I’m still here, loitering in the background. A little update from me, I’m on Week 50 and the scales is hovering between 9st 1lb and 9st 2lb, which I’m not sure I quite believe as I have upped my calories by 100 a day. However that would mean about 4st 10lbs off and technically only 1lb or so to my target.

Fizzleawayyy1 · 24/09/2025 13:35

Thanks everyone.

@HollyhockDays Iv made some changes but I haven't made massive changes either if I'm honest. I just eat a lot less and avoid most of the junk. Today Iv had 2 slices of toast (not normal for me but we had nice bread), some watermelon and tonight I have steak for tea with veggies, no potato product for me. That's all I will have with some cups of tea.

@Taxiparent 1lb away from target is amazing, well done, I bet you feel great.

Day off work for me today! Completely chilled and I love it. Sorting the washing pile now before the kids get home.

HappyNewt · 24/09/2025 17:40

Fizzleawayyy1 · 23/09/2025 13:32

This thread seems so quiet now compared to what it used to be... I remember logging on after a week or so before and there being pages and pages to catch up on! ha😂

@Histoscientist Iv just started taking iron pills again as my iron levels have come back low from the GP! fingers crossed the feeling of being freezing all the time goes away.
@HappyNewt What an achievement your graph is! I will be at the year mark come mid October too! Its gone so quick I think. I still dont feel 'skinny' or small though even after 6 stone gone!

@LumionaMoonsplash WOHOOO for the healthy BMI!!

@HansHolbein I have had my gala dinner, I will attach a picture of me in the dress I picked! I always want the heating on in the car too and my heated seat!

@Carridoesntlivehereanymore Well done for getting to target!!

@HollyhockDays How many more lbs do you want to lose?

@icantgetnosheep1 How was the fancy dress party? we have a Halloween party to attend next month and I will either be a pirate or my daughter wants me to be a shinning twin and we go matching! ha

@surreygirl1987 Also well done on getting to goal! 6 and a half stone is amazing.

@DeltaAlphaDelta79 3lbs is great at this stage! I'm only doing a lb a week at the moment!! so annoying.

---------

Anyone know which pharmacies offer a flex plan? I have enough pens to last me 6 months but wondering what to do after.... I cant decide.

I only seem to be losing a lb a week at the moment, very slow for me but very busy so cant always be helped! I'm off for a spa in Romania this weekend with my daughter and mother so I dont think I will shift anything at all this week!! and then we are away in Cornwall next weekend. That will be easier to navigate food wise I think.

Here's me at the gala dinner I had last week... bit of a change from last year! Lighting is a bit crap as I had less then half hour to get ready so couldn't faff around.

Keep that pic alongside one from this time last year...incredible change and a huge reminder to keep on track!
Amazing!

EVK · 25/09/2025 07:24

@Fizzleawayyy1 - wow - you look stunning 🩷congratulations. Just whizzing out the door to work but had to say! Everyone else - I’m blown away by your incredible losses ! What a fabulous group of women. I’m about 2 months now without MJ and maintaining at 8.9-8.11 depending upon when I go to the loo🤣 not too bad but I’d like it to be 8.7-8.9 so that’s my plan xxxx

Histoscientist · 26/09/2025 15:39

@Fizzleawayyy1 you look stunning wow very glamorous. I look nothing like this and I'm bmi 23.8 lol, i clearly need to lose a little more and tone up. Pharmulous do a free 12 month flexi type plan and I've heard swift do too. I'm with oushk and they do the flexi but you have to pay 15 a month.
@Bluenose1966 well done on all your exercise, you put me to shame. Keep up the good work! Its good that 2.5mg is working for you and you haven't gained with eating crips and treats, means going forward you can get away with a few treats with the exercise and so that's a more realistic lifestyle to maintain.
I was exercising when I had 2 weeks leave but when I got back to work that dropped as I got in 6.30-7pm after setting off at 7am on a morning, next week I'm up 5.30am setting off 6.30am to get home around 5.30pm and ill be wiped after that.

Ive been away 4 days this week on a work conference, lots of travelling, lectures and lots of eating as bed & breakfast with hot cooked options and social events with evening meals out like nandos and tapas!

I came back yesterday weighed this morning and I'm 61kg, the same as the lightest I've weighed since on mj, when I was 26 I weight 64kg at the GP. i was really shocked at not gaining at all, i had only jabbed 7.5mg last saturday as im tapering down and wanted to eat more. I was walking a lot as had no car and hotel was 15 mib walk away and drinking more fluids so maybe thats why i didn't gain? Cant say i was very healthy all the time! Bumped into some people I hadn't seen for over 10 years and they were all telling me how great I look and how much weight I've lost, even though I've not spoken to them so they don't know it was MJ. I don't feel slim as I still have a fair belly, though ive lost 6" off it, it's still only 30.5".
1 year anniversary for me on 2nd October, would be great if I could lose half a pound to get to a 3.5 stone loss!

fourquenelles · 27/09/2025 18:27

Hi again everyone. I have been missing in action as I took myself off to Canada for 11 days over my 70th birthday. I had a wonderful time; loved both the country and the people. I was due to start Wegovy the Saturday before I left but decided not too in case I had side effects. I didn't overdo it but still managed to put on 10lbs (curse that maple syrup lol) so back up to June's 13st 8lbs. I injected my first Wegovy dose this morning. I'll keep you posted on how I can on - so far so good.

Onwards and downwards

EVK · 28/09/2025 18:10

@fourquenelles sounds like a great holiday and sometimes it’s good to just let yourself enjoy! You’ll soon rein it back in. Hope Wegovy works well for you. @Histoscientist In a year since starting MJ on the 5th so we started about the same time. Sounds like you’re doing really well, take those compliments and look at how far you’ve come.

I stopped at the end of July and never went above 5mgs, lost nearly 3stone. Today I’ve taken everyone’s advice and tried my best to measure my cooking and calculate approximate calories. I worked out my TDEE and BMR or whatever it is?! So I need to stick around 13-1400 calories to lose a little over time I think!! It’s all a bit complicated and time consuming for me but it is making me think carefully about what I’m eating and how much!! Hopefully I will be able to pull back a few pounds - that’s all I’m after!! 3-4lbs over the next month !! Seems so
much trickier without MJ but I know it’s possible- it’s just while on MJ I either STS or consistently lost 1lb (sometimes 2!) a week. Now it feels like - it’s not guaranteed in the same way. So, guess it’s having that confidence in keeping focused and knowing it will work.

Morning all

W49
SW 17'10

2 pounds on this week, but we had 2 takeaways this weekend 🤷‍♂️

2nd jab of 10 and only three left to go 😬

Good luck everyone

igivein · 29/09/2025 08:45

Haven't posted for a while, because there doesn't seem much to say, loss has slowed right done to half to one pound a week, sometimes stay the same, but at least the general trend is still downwards. I don't know how much further to go before tapering down, I'm currently taking 12.5 from a 15 syringe (to make it go a bit further 😁).
My bmi is 27.7 but I'm not sure how much more I want to lose. I've got a fair bit of loose skin (which is probably bumping my weight up a bit), and a bit of a belly, but I'm 61 and I don't want to get to the point of looking like a scrawny old woman. I think I look quite nice in clothes now (let's not talk about what I look like not in clothes 😂). I'm spending a fortune on nice new things to wear!!
So anyway, this week will be week 51 for me. I won't make an 8 stone loss by the end of a year on MJ, but hopefully I'll be pretty close. I think when I started I set myself a target of 5 or 6 stones, so nearly 8 is beyond my wildest dreams!

SW 20st 2lb
CW 12st 6lb

I'm loving reading about everyone reaching their target and starting to maintain, and I'm really loving the new lease of life MJ has given me.

Letshavetea1 · 29/09/2025 10:57

I’m the same - not posted in a while as not losing much now. I vary between 11 stone and 11 stone 2 lbs. I’d like to lose another half stone. I’ve just finished a 7.5mg pen. I’m going to start slowly titrating up to 10mg. I have three 10mg pens in stock.
My maintenance call was meant to be today with Oushk, but I’ve changed it to December.

I feel quite comfortable with my current weight in some ways, but would just like some wriggle room! I think it’s taking a long time as I’m currently at a healthy bmi and also I have just come back from holiday and we’re due to go again in October!

It was fab to go on holiday wearing my size 12 clothes! Thank goodness for vinted!

it’s been great reading about all your successes. Really pleased for you all.

Hello all!

@HappyNewt Oh I love a big wedding! Sounds like a great time. Yes, I learned a long time ago that burying my head in sand just doesn't work for me. Any time I've stopped weighing myself or gone 'fuck it', it has turned into a nightmare. How are things now?

@EVK I've always imagined that maintaining is the hardest bit - it definitely is. In a way, you have to be even more focused. So glad you're back on track and in the swing of things.

@Carridoesntlivehereanymore Oh my congratulations! So happy for you! How does it feel?! I can't believe how much progress we've all made in a year. It's gone so fast. I'll also be right there with you for long term maintenance. I might be slim, but I will always be a fat person. If that makes sense. Like an alcoholic never really ceases to be an alcoholic, it takes daily management. I'm also interested to see how Wegovy goes for the people who have switched. I'm keeping an eye on the Reddit subs to see how they are doing.

@HollyhockDays Amazing achievement - and never going above 5mg! When we all started last year, I think many many providers encouraged us to go up a dose every month. Upon reflection, I don't think this is strictly necessary. I could have stayed at 5mg for much longer. Nevermind. Whenever I have plateaued, I've logged my food for a bit to see if I am doing something. Always an eye opener lol...

@icantgetnosheep1 8 fucking stone! I am actually a bit emotional reading your post. It's just so lovely to read how this medication has changed your life. It's so much more than just weight loss. The feeling of freedom and confidence is worth every penny. I am so happy for you.I bet you looked incredible. Lovely.

@surreygirl1987 Another lovely update! I am so proud of us all. How are you finding maintenance?

@Bluenose1966 Hope you had a lovely holiday and all the kitchen planning is going well. Is the planning all done now? When does the work start? What colour scheme did you go for? Week 28 - you're an inspiration and your exercise is to be admired!

@DeltaAlphaDelta79 3lbs, amazing! Hmm curry. Been a while since I had one of those! Don't make it often as everyone moans about the spicy-ness. ETA just read your update about the 2lbs - annoying but never mind. Be careful this week and it will come straight off. If I have a heavy day or I've gone out for dinner, I usually fast the next day to give my body a rest. Not for everyone of course, but works for me.

@Fizzleawayyy1 Beautiful dress, love the colour. You have a lovely shape! You must be overjoyed. Hope Romania was amazing! What was the temperature like?

@Taxiparent Incredible loss, well done you. What is your long term plan?

@Histoscientist I love weigh ins like that, when I feel like I've got away with it! I reckon all that activity and drinking saved you. What a great boost. My tummy is always the last thing to go. In the end, I had to lower my goal weight to get rid of it. It's not completely gone, and it will never be flat, but it is much better now. Probably not what you want to hear!

@fourquenelles Happy belated Birthday! Canada sounds beautiful... as does the maple syrup! Definitely keep us updated on the Wegovy.

@igivein Your stats are incredible. So happy for you. You must feel like a totally different woman! Everything is worth it when I read how life changing this medication has been for people. Just being about to enjoy life. It's wonderful.

@Letshavetea1 Glad everything is going well for you. The last 7lbs/stone is definitely the hardest. Slow and steady. Life happens too, and you have to enjoy it. What I love about MJ is that even if you have a holiday, or go out for dinner, it's much easier to get back on track. Before MJ, that holiday or meal out would turn into 3 months of overeating. Terrible, I know. Love Vinted!

I was glad to get the hosting out of the way last week! It all went well and they were very nice about my weight loss. It was a bit awkward but I thanked them and changed the subject quickly...

Still maintaining at about 8st. About to start 7.5mg. Haven't noticed any real difference going down the doses. Get full up quite quickly. Currently reading Ultra Processed People - really recommend it.

Love to all x

Thanks everyone.

@Histoscientist My BMI is 23.9 so we are very close BMI wise but I am 5'7.
I will look into Pharmulous!! Thank you!
Iv also had times where iv ate more then normal as iv been away and the last few times that happened I still lost on one occasion and STS on another! very bizarre as its unexpected!!
What part of your belly do you measure around? For my waist I do my smallest area and for the hips area I go around my widest part.

@fourquenelles I would happily go to Canada in exchange for 10lbs, I hope you had a great time.
How are you feeling on Wegovy?

@EVK You got this! It will work! I'm not looking forward to going it alone but I'm a while off that yet.

@DeltaAlphaDelta79 Oooo Which takeaways did you get?

@igivein Nearly 8 stone is bloody amazing!!! Do you have any before or after pictures?

@Letshavetea1 I am finding now that a meal or 2 out a week now makes it really hard to get a loss at the end of the week! I have a new found love of vinted. I listed some clothing on there and what sold, I sent, and what didn't I took to a charity shop as I hated it hanging around! but this last couple of weeks iv bought about 6-7 items from there for myself! All for £1-£2 an item. These items are from Zara etc though so would of been lots more new!

---------------

Been to a spa over the week and I was away for 3 days. I STS this week because of it so full steam ahead this week as I would like to shift at least a lb! If I lose 15 more lbs then I would of lost 100lbs!
In terms of loose skin, I'm doing reallly well. I dont seem to have anything more then what I had before. I do have some on my stomach but that was from carrying my lovely kids.
I am debating to join the gym though to tone up a bit but I'm a bit lazy.

Fizzleawayyy1 · 29/09/2025 15:42

@HansHolbein Cross posted as I was writing mine for over an hour before I actually sent it ha ha

Temp was similar to here when I went but maybe a tad warmer. Its a shame really as the week before it was really hot but turned a bit shitter when I went!

igivein · 29/09/2025 16:27

I don't have many pictures of me at all @Fizzleawayyy1 - always done my best to avoid it because I looked so awful. I'm trying to be a bit better about it now, but it's been a lifetime of dodging the camera so it's not easy!
I even deleted my 'look how fat I am, please give me Mounjaro before I explode' photo as soon as I'd been accepted for a prescription. I wish I hadn't now, but oh well ...

is to get back to the gym this week and remain mindful of my calories!!

Histoscientist · 29/09/2025 19:38

Dear all, so lovely to hear from you and read your updates!
It's great how much everyone has lost, well done on you all!
Who is close to their 1 year anniversary?mine is on Thursday and I need to literally lose half a lb to hit 3 and half stone loss altogether but im at 9st 8.5lbs and bmi 23.8 and just stalled for 3 weeks. I have been tapering down from 15 and made it to 7.5mg, so I don't know if I'll lose it by Thursday, i may need to go up to a slightly higher dose, and i was going to start exercise regularly this week, I did some a few weeks ago when I was off work but I gained in the first few days so I don't think it will help me lose that last bit. My target was 9st 7lbs and then had lofty dreams of 9st but I don't know if I can get there now.
I blame my genetics on my apple shaped body, ibs and insulin resistance/prediabetes so maybe it's just not meant for me, I was only ever a size 12 in my 20s and most of my 30s so don't think my body could get any slimmer, but who knows!
@Fizzleawayyy1 I measure at the smallest part of my waist where I go in, it was 78cm yesterday! I've always had a big belly but it used to be a lot more bloated with craving and eating carbs all the time.

Histoscientist · 29/09/2025 19:58

I've found my submitted photos taken at 13st 1lbs, 10st 10lbs and 9st 11lbs and you can see the apple shape. What I do like is how much less inflamed my hands are! It was my period on last photo (red top) so a few days after that I did look less bloated, but I feel like just a slimmer version of an apple shape. I'm now only 2.5lbs down from the last photo which was on 14 august during pengate!
I hadn't exercised at all during my whole journey other than 4 sessions 3 weeks ago!
Well the photos have gone in back to front, I'm sure you can work out when I started!

I’ve been bemoaning my slow weight loss but need to remember where I started. Currently ‘stuck’ at 11at 8 but started at 18st 1lb and the difference is significant.
I feel so much better and the second photo is me trying on a pair of size 12 jeans!!!
Want to lose another stone and a half but resigned to this taking a few months!!!

Now then everyone! What a year it’s been eh. I’m now 13stone 4 down from 22 stone. I’ve got my first half marathon in two weeks and I’ve actually just bought a piece of clothing in a size 12! 😮 😂
I’m tapering down to come off - I was on 12.5, now I’m on 7.5 for a week, then 5, then 2.5. Then off hopefully! No effects coming down so far!

I love all the anniversary before and after photos.
Well done everyone 👏
@OrlandointheWilderness I'm also tapering down from 15, now at 7.5. Have just bought a wegovy pen hopefully use that for a little while on maintenance at a low dose if it suits.
@HansHolbein I think I'll have to drop down further to lose more tummy fat like you said or be consistent with exercise.

Fizzleawayyy1 · 30/09/2025 12:42

ABSOLUTLEY LOVING THE PICTURES!!

Everyone has done so so well. I bet everyone's faces look so different too!!

Mincepieinthesky · 30/09/2025 12:53

Well done everyone. Can’t believe it’s our anniversary month already!

Not much to report for me, been off mj 5 months now I think and maintaining 7 stone loss bmi 20. Spending far too much on clothes but it still feels so novel to feel good in a nice outfit after life in baggy clothes and leggings. Always thought I was an hourglass but am actually an inverted triangle so dressing for the right shape has helped a lot too.

@HansHolbein 8st is fab! sounds like tapering down is going well, good there’s not a noticeable difference on the lower doses.

Amazing transformation pics all, wow! 🤩

Fizzleawayyy1 · 30/09/2025 13:30

Just looking at the pictures again and honestly, everyone has done so so well.

I cant believe its been a year/nearly a year for most of us! Time literally fly's by!

I would share a picture but I did recently so dont want to hog the screen!!

Other news, Iv dropped down to 7.5mg for the first time and I'm going to see how I get on, I still want to shift the last stone so I'm hoping it still works as well as the 10mg! but I want to reserve my stash!
