Thank you for allowing me to rant, share our ups and downs. Our group blows my mind of how we are so supportive of each other.
Some of us are now hitting the 12 week mark, some of us are nearly at their goal, some halfway and some still have a way to go, but we are all losing even if it’s half a pound a week. We have all come so far and are making a difference to our health.

Weigh in day today!
SW: 210
MJ SW: 196
CW: 169.8
TW: 147 ish
So I'm super happy I'm below 170 - only 0.2lb but hey it's in the 160's - I'm taking that haha
Going on a long walk this weekend if the weather cools a little so hoping for a NSV of actually being able to complete it!
Hope everyone is having a good week of either NSV or SVs!!

Spondoolie · 20/06/2025 10:14

Feeling awful for the first time. Did my 8th 7.5mg shot on Wednesday evening after a birthday meal so had eaten more than usual. Only had 4 hours sleep due to early train. Had to walk 3 miles uphill in the sun with massive case for first site visit (said no to a lift as thought walk would be nice - didn’t realise it was vertical). Had one bottle of water and one pint of water with lunch and felt hideous by 5.30pm. I have had to take the day off as i am gassy, exhausted and feel absolutely wiped out. Guess I must have got dehydrated yesterday

needtolose70lb · 20/06/2025 10:23

Thanks for all the help on the delayed delivery and when/how to get back on schedule. Juniper got it sorted so my new DPD delivery arrived first thing this morning! I usually jab thursday nights so I am only 12 hours behind my usual schedule which is not going to be any issue for getting back on track. Thank goodness. Very impressed with their customer service.

I am also moving very very slowly on the scales at the moment. More like a couple of ounces one day, stay same for 2-3 days and then a couple of ounces down again. Sometimes popping up. But i haven't been walking as much as i was and this is a weight I haven't seen in at least 7 years and at least 7 years before that for the time before. If that makes sense.

I have decided to go back and set myself some mini mini goals. Anyone want to join me?

  1. Lose 1.5lb to hit the 3.5 stone loss mark
  2. Lose 2.5lb to hit 50lb loss mark
  3. Edited to add that I realise a 2.6lb loss actually takes me below 190lb so adding that in here too
  4. Lose just over 5lb to get to 85kg

My previous goals just feel a bit too far away to get excited about with the slowing down but these ones will make me feel realistically happy about what I have actually achieved so far.

TheBossOfMe · 20/06/2025 10:41

@MrsAlwaysRight I had a couple of plateaus around weights that had previously been weights I'd maintained at for a long time. Set weights - your body tries to hold onto those.

@needtolose70lb Mini goals are the way to go, IMO, I set mine in 3-4lb increments so that I felt like I was progressing and could congratulate myself!

@AgnethaF I've got the Trinny Elevator cream (although I got it on offer so didn't pay as much as that). I've been impressed, but another friend of mine who has lost huge amounts of weight (over 7 stone, she was really very obese) has been using the Nivea blue tub cream slathered on at night on her neck and chest with very impressive results. So having raved about Trinny on an earlier thread, I'm not sure I'd buy it again unless it's on offer. I buy most of my beauty products on allbeauty.com or look fantastic.com, great discounts on both.

Pre-weekend weigh in, holding steady in spite of a bit of an ice cream blow out yesterday!

SW 10st 4.6lb/144.6lb BMI 25.7 (prescribed MJ because of diabetes risk and hideous waist measurement)
CW 8st 7.9lb/119.9lb BMI 21.3 - 24.7lb down, 109% of target achieved.

2.1lb below goal in the bank ahead of another feeding up teenagers weekend. That should do.

PoundsLost · 20/06/2025 10:58

Thanks @LilyLondon and @Bipaloss - I will accept the Shotsy as pretty accurate even if my brain can’t compute going from 6.89 to 19 with a mere 10mg dose. It does what it does!

another quarter of a pound down here. I will hope to be in the 13s by the end of the month anyway.

suppression about right but I do need to cut back on the alcohol. It would have been such a bonus to not fancy it but I need to use willpower in this respect.

Amjam2025 · 20/06/2025 12:12

@needtolose70lb yes I'll join you with some mini goals!
Long story short but I fell out with MJ when I got to 6.25mg as I had nasty SE so I stopped, went on holiday, came back and restarted on 2.5mg. Put a few lbs on while away..TBE and the 2.5mg is having hardly any effect also TBE. Initially lost the holiday weight easily but now can't get below 9.0lb/9.1lb. I just keep bouncing around between the two. I saw all GLIMPSE of 8st 13lb one weigh in last Friday but it's not appeared since SO...
1st goal... lose 1 or 2lb to get into the 8 stones category (keep fluctuating)
2nd goal... lose 1 more inch off my waist so it measures 30 inches...which is half my height
3rd goal... get to 8 st 10lb so I've lost exactly 2 stone
🤞🤞 good luck everyone with your goals!

Outsidebeanshop · 20/06/2025 15:23

Sorry guys I know I’m bombarding the page but just looking for advice hopefully. Does anybody use a provider that posts completely discretely and also so that it remains cold? Or so that you can select the day???

seasidehunter · 20/06/2025 15:31

@Outsidebeanshop Both oushk and pharmulous dispatch in wool-insulated packaging with an ice pack - has always arrived cold. Oushk allow you to choose your delivery day but their packaging does say oushk pharmacy on the outside (not in huge bold letters, but readable if you bother to read it). Pharmulous packaging was much more bland, but you can't choose a day. Tends to dispatch same day and delivered the following.

Weigh day and jab day for me.

I am devastated to report that I have put on another 2lbs I am back at the weight that I stalled on and bounced around for a few weeks.

I have upped my protein, eat really clean drunk 3 litres of water everyday and done at least 10k steps a day.

I am so bloody pissed off.

Today I am going to inject 10ml from my 7.5 pen to see if this works.

Oh bless you this sounds frustrating, I’ve been totally out of the loop on this thread but going to try and get back in because it gave me such encouragement at the start and definitely see that things are stalling for me recently too. I have actually now only lost 1.5stone since March, which is great of course, but I feel like it needs to get a bit of momentum back. It sounds like you’ve been really on it this week so can totally understand how you feel pissed off. Although if you have another week of lots of water; eating well etc you might get a big woosh effect?

first off all the losses will come again ! I was very frustrated 3 weeks in May to the point I wanted to give up but it eventually shifted (just at a much slower pace now)

the thing with MJ is that you still be loosing inches , even with a gain . Fat takes several weeks to dissolve so even if weight isn’t shifting your are still loosing fat

what I have recently started doing is slightly lower food intake (smaller plates as I don’t count calories) as when you hit a plateau it could be that your TdEE has changed and to loose you need to lower calories . Also watch your calories day 5-6 when suppression is less

inflammation , pre MJ this weather would blow me up like a balloon not as much now but still see water retention around my feet’s so the 2lb may be water retention

there are many stories of big losers at the start loosing at a much slower pace on higher doses as the body gets used to MJ .

hang in there and keep going ☺️

soupforbrains · 20/06/2025 18:37

Gosh congrats on everyone’s losses. Lovely to see people reaching milestones.

in my experience there are two slow-downs/ plateaus. One is the ‘set-weight’ which people have talked about regarding a weight yiu maintained at previously may have a sort of metabolistic muscle memory for your body but once you’re through that you should be able to keep going.

and the second is simply that as you reach lower weights it’s a natural part of weight loss for it to slow down. Proportionally speaking less of your body is fat and so there are fewer fatty deposits for your body to access and burn off.

I have such a lot more to lose than all of you so I’m not anywhere near either of these things yet. My weight loss has slowed down but mainly because I have had weeks here and there where ive over-eaten and either not lost or gained. I’m back on track no I think so hopefully I’ll see more loss before my holiday in 3 weeks time.

Have I mentioned my holiday to the Greek islands? Grin

TryingMJ · 20/06/2025 21:19

Hi all,

Friday morning weigh in (haven’t had time to post til now!)

Start weight 13 stone 6.5lbs

Current weight 10 stone 1.0lbs

Loss this week 1.4lbs

Total loss 3 stone 5.5lbs (or 47.5lbs).

Goal weight was 10 stone 0lbs but now I’m 1lbs away I will keep going a little more, maybe 9 stone 7-10lbs.
I’m 5’ 5”, starting BMI was 30.9 (obese) and current is 23.5 (normal/healthy). I’m 39 years old.

Puddingpiper · 20/06/2025 21:30

@Outsidebeanshopmy London pharmacy is discreet, can choose the day, and is insulated. Also pretty good at price matching

Puddingpiper · 20/06/2025 21:46

@AgnethaFi only buy the toiletries from buyers selling a few things rather than those who are selling loads of one brand.

weigh day for me and as a daily weigher I am joining those frustrated at lack of progress and bouncing around within a kilo. My daily line is still trending down over the week I’ve got rid of just over 1lb this week. I’m within 1lb of dropping below 15 stone for the first time in many many years and 1.5lbs of being 50% of the way to my target weight which is both exiting and frustrating to be so close.

I have made the commitment that I’m doing another 3 months as my London pharmacy gives the option to get 3 pens at once so I have got 3 pens at 5mg dose, I’m only currently taking 3.75 so have some wriggle room and will increase dose frequency if needed.

Thank you! I have gone with Boots as I can collect, I just hope they approve and sort it in time for my jab day! Can’t believe that my local Asda has stopped doing it AND that they are now taking 6 days to approve! Totally caught me out this week 🫠 my fault for leaving things to last minute

Outsidebeanshop · 20/06/2025 23:11

I also can’t believe I am writing this but you’re the only people I can ask as nobody else knows I’m taking this, but has anybody suffered with piles?!? I am for the first time ever and I can only put it down to the toilet issues I am having maybe?? Like diarrhoea for few days, constipation for few days 🫠

That will do it. Psyllium balances out both constipation and diarrhoea so if you have some everyday in lots of water it should help.

Ingangoolie · 21/06/2025 07:43

@Outsidebeanshop echo that with psyllium and anything else that’ll loosen you up. Piles very common from pushing out babies and compact stools.

@TryingMJ thats impressive, congratulations.

Week 14
SW 13st 3lb
CW 11st 3lb
GW 9st 7lb

pleased with this, staying on 2.5mg, slower than some but steady, and hitting 2 stone loss is great. Hoping my muscle to fat ratio improving, should be some benefit of doing weights, and am now also feeling stronger and walking taller.

TheSpoonyNavyReader · 21/06/2025 07:57

Morning all

I have weighed again today and I am mysteriously 2lbs lighter to day than yesterday.

So back to where I was last week weight wise.

Last night I had a bar of chocolate the first time I have had chocolate since Feb 28th it was so sweet and to tell you the truth I just did not enjoy it. All I wanted was a bowl of berries.

I will keep plodding on with this weight loss, it took me years to put on the weight so it could take me many months to loss and get back to where I want to be.

Can I ask where people buy the husks from as I have only been going once or twice a week.

TryForSpring · 21/06/2025 09:14

Constipation and psyllium seems to have become my specialist subject...

I find this product is finer than others I've had and so mixes better, @TheSpoonyNavyReader. I add hot water, stir loads, leave it a minute or so, top up with cold water and stir again. Then it's not still scratchy little bits that can stick in your throat, and it's no issue to take.

TryForSpring · 21/06/2025 09:19

I have finally broken a four-week stall. Phew! I should have gone up sooner but I'm so keen on sticking to the lowest possible dose that I stalled myself 🤦🏻‍♀️ Anyway, lesson learnt and moving down again.

SW: 16 stone
CW: 14 stone 1.5
GW: 10 stone
5'7

ilovegreenbeans · 21/06/2025 12:19

Another one here who feels the scales are not shifting... and also that the op-POO-tunities are few and far between 😫
Once again I'm trying to trust the process, as someone mentioned before I am at a weight now that I hovered at for years, so perhaps it will just take time to push past this plateau.
SW 98.2 kg
CW 84 kg
GW 77kg (somewhere around there!)

TheBossOfMe · 21/06/2025 12:32

@TheSpoonyNavyReader I use the same psyllium as @TryForSpring

So hot yesterday that I barely ate anything apart from ice cream and frozen berries. Plus a lot of ice cold wine. Macros might be tracking a bit out right now 😂
